Veilguard sucks. The art style sucks, the dialogue sucks, and as one reviewer put it:
"The dialogue feels like HR is in the room with you".
The audio quality sucks- some instances you can hear them being in the booth recording things. The combat is less technical and intricate, and not being able to switch to different characters to experience playstyles sucks. That was the cool thing about KOTOR and Dragon Age, you could switch around, see what being x or y was like.
The questlines are crappy. Predictable. And non-sensical at times.
Dragon Age was supposed to be this dark, brooding fantasy world. Not... Reddit's Version of Dragon Age. The morality is gone too, it's now either:
Nice Guy
Neutral Guy
Slightly Sarcastic Guy.
The lack of evil choices sucks, I usually try and play an evil playthrough on my second go-around of games to see what I could be like. The dialogue doesn't feel like it's in a fantasy universe, it feels like a CW show that has swords and spells. It's just not good. The gameplay loop is alright, but it's definitely boring and flashy after a bit. A lot of visual noise.
The social issues are also terribly written. It's self-inserts at best and terribly delivered at worst. I'm now worried about what they're doing with Mass Effect.
stinky Bioware.
