Feedback Cursed or Chaos?

So it seems threads I join tend to die 3-5 days after joining. Just fizzle into nothing.

So am I cursed? Horrible reputation (not that I'd change)? Or Chaos itself?

I also had a similar problem when I first joined/whenever I make a new character. The worst was Tom Kovack, whose arrival seemed to herald the impending doom of every thread I put him in. People deleted their accounts rather than write with him.

I kid, of course. The curse of threads fizzling out seems to be a random malady, like catching a cold. It should pass soon enough, provided you keep chugging on. Not to mention that your writing partners may only be able to post at certain times or on certain days of the week, which can give the impression that it's fizzled out when it really hasn't.

TL;DR Keep doing what you love and have patience. That's the only cure I know.

Definitely Chaos. Doesn't help that there are invasions right now.

What I think might happen is that people get bored, throw themselves into a whole bunch of threads, realize they're overloaded, and back away. Then they get bored and the cycle starts again.

It happens! Invasions and rebellions are sometimes the best fun. They always finish!

Everyone is here for different reasons. Even our individual nerdiness revolves around different focuses of writing. Time and writing style can clash or mesh with anyone. The hard part is discovering other writers with whom you just seem to clique, and when you find them stories just develop easily between you. You will find them!

These days I simply roll with it, go into threads expecting it, and then I can be pleasantly surprised and very happy when they last longer

I think it’s Chaos. People join a ton of threads when they have time, then they get bored waiting for responses so they join a ton more and forget the old ones. Endless cycle

Delila Castillon despite the threads listed above I think the issue is not you. A lot of people expressed they felt similar sentiments while playing. Maybe there is just the perception of abandonment or maybe Chaos does have a thread abandonment problem.

Either way I think you can quell your fear that it’s you.

Also, if you don't like how other people spend their time observing your private roleplays, maybe don't post a Feedback thread focusing on your "threads" looking for sheeptastic validation.

just go to your profile, lol, it tracks all your recent posts. Your profile also separates your private threads. Unless you have 99 characters like Cira , you can easily just track things through your profile. If you have 99 characters, break out the excel sheet, because you are not the majority and Chaos's automatic tracking system doesn't cater to your specific needs.

Or if you're high brow, use the Bookmark system available in the site.

Oi! Delila already knows the past two weeks have been hectic for me. I'll post, and while sometimes it will be fast or sometimes it will be slow, but I'll still post.

I know she was discussing with me having problems with not being able to complete or have folks stop posting in open public threads, not private ones.
