Bracca | X | Spacer Guild | Interdictor |

Objectives :
  1. Raid?! : Pillage Bracca's main control tower. Shutting down the control tower is key to keeping the hordes of murderous scrapping and security droids at bay.
  2. Distraction : Join the distraction team. Banging pots and pans? Showing a bit of skin? Nope, find something else to steal while the interdictor tries to get off the ground.
  3. Pillage : Steal...err...redistribute the interdictor. What? It's going to be broken down for scrap anyway.
  4. Go nuts / BYOO / Observe / Live, laugh, love

When she had mentioned the potential for stealing an interdictor for Mr.Ithorian, Delila didn't expect what was essentially calling Xin's bluff to turn into a full-blown job. They were tasked with stealing an interdictor vessel for reasons she preferred not to know. Always was best with these types of jobs ; know as little as possible and just keep on moving. Made for less of a liability as well during torture, couldn't confess to something she didn't know.

Now she was cramped into their newest acquisition, the Littoraria, a former ORC combat hauler vessel. They would be pushing the little vessel to its limits and if she had read the manuals on the HoloNet correctly, had the ability to handle 'different types of cargo'. Dells didn't expect the combat hauler to handle the interdictor, that was up to them. The little vessel was going to be responsible for stealing something else as a distraction and besides, if she was already taking something might as well do it up right.

Going to this amount of work she hoped the Ithorian would be satisfied enough with the haul. There never was a specification on what condition the interdictor should be in. It took several rounds bribing of old spacers and scrappers to even get a lead on an interdictor they could steal easily. Or with relative ease. No way could they had taken down a crew with the resources they had. Salvagers and droids in a scrapyard? They had a fighting chance.

"If the old man we bribed was correct, getting down on Bracca should be easy. Getting out in the hard part." Delila was crammed up front in the cockpit, the ORC hauler wasn't big on passenger comforts. "I just hope it hasn't been scrapped yet."

OBJECTIVE 3: GRAB THE INTERDICTOR

The Gremlin came into view of Bracca. Nothing on the vessel had come from this particular scrapyard thankfully as he watched silently from his position. They had been given details of an interdictor being here, and he had made sure to be dead-heading it this way.

Likely a strange sight to see a cargo hauler like his completely empty of cargo pods, but he needed the space if they were to make off with the ship in question. He just hoped his cargo manipulators and mag-hoists would be able to handle it.

"Red, I'll be holding position till I hear from the ground crew. You gave them the beacon...right?" Zivos hailed Delila Castillon Delila Castillon on a private channel to confirm the details.

Objective 3

Xin and Brak were wearing space suits. That might have seemed strange for a ground operation, but there was one thing they knew about the interdictor: entire portions of its hull plating had been removed.

The chances of life support still running were very slim. However, they were hopeful it had engines, a generator and most importantly the gravity well generators. If all else failed they would strip those out and turn them into glorified interdiction mines for the job.

"Fate normally goes our way right?" Xin quipped.

It did not.

"Drop us down not too far from it and den gotta spot something else to steal."

OBJECTIVE 2: LOOK AT ME I'M A DISTRACTION

"Rrrrawk! Come on come on come on..."

Kingsley flapped his arms nervously while flipping through spectrums on his optic appraiser to something that could give him a clear view of the decommissioned old treadspeeder bike and its inner workings. Fiddling with an anti-security blade the smuggler sliced through its ancient lockout protocols and bypassed the drive engine's normal startup sequence by yanking some wires from its motivator and sparking them directly against the bike's control linkages.

"Yes!" he squawked in relief when the bike's power cell starting humming. He'd been stretching the truth about definitely knowing how to do this.

Revving the handlebars sent a wave of power coursing between his legs. His beak twisted into a predatory grin. Kingsley slid a pair of discarded scavenger goggles over his face and engaged forward thrust with a vigorous caw that quickly mutated into a shriek when he realized he'd underestimated what the machine could still do. Somehow the bird managed to hold on and he was burning rubber through junkyard labyrinths on a zig zag route towards Bracca's control tower.

"Rrrrraaaaaawk! Tremble peasants and despair!" the smuggler roared, "For I am the TRASH KING!"

With one hand on the bike Kingsley drew his modified jawa blaster and started firing las bolts into nearby refuse piles at random.

"Uhh...yes, I'm fairly certain they have it. Just keep an eye out either way." Not that keeping an eye out would be useful at a higher height, she was certain Xin and Brak would look like insects.

Delila was thankful she was flying the distraction vessel with Xin and Brak back behind her. Sewage Bird had decided to head to the planet early to be a distraction, unsure exactly of what the giant bird was planning. However, as she banked starboard and the trash planet filled their viewport, her eyes caught the flash of a blaster. Sewage Bird already started the distraction? Well, at least she would be able to land without much questioning. Maybe that was his plan all along.

"Xin, Brak - look alive back there. We're about to touch down and Sewage Bird has already started shooting, which means whatever security is on this planet knows something is about to go down. Might wanna work fast so Zivos can pick you up..."

The uncertainty of her answer had him wishing the oxygen rich atmosphere in his cabin was gone instead of planning on picking up Xin Boa Xin Boa and Brak just to have the moment of rubbing his face. There was an incoming message from the scrap yard about his presence that caught his attention, something he pondered leaving alone before going ahead and opening the message.

If you could hold off on landing, there seems to be an incident in the yard. We'll-

He read it most the way through before smiling beneath the helmet. Oh how little these people assumed. There was no reply as he eased closer, watching the lightshow below as the bird made a right nuisance of himself. His eyes squinted, magnification happening in the visor as he sighed at the sight of the bird throwing ion rounds downrange.

He hoped they didn't hit anything major.

His eyes moved, spotting the nautolan and his accomplice as he kept himself hovering for a brief time. Watching quietly and preparing the magnetic locking mechanisms. His final check was the ladder to the cabin, most of the equipment was fresh from putting it together, and less than likely to fail as he made his way back to the controls.

"Xin, Brak. Let me know when to swoop in. Everything is ready on my end." He informed the pair, taking a brief moment to remember the conversation with Red. "You have the beacon to slap on the pickup right?"

"Is this a beacon?" Xin asked Brak, his voice coming over the comm now they were suited up.

"That's a thermal charge," replied the barabel.

Xin put the disc back into his satchel and started to rifle around in it. The large reptile let out the equivalent of a sigh and stepped up to the shelf and pulled down a small, pyramid shaped metal gadget. "This is the beacon. You hadn't packed it."

"Well...dat is why we check!" said Xin. He switched channels "We have it," he informed Zivos

"Got some armed droids on patrol," Brak said. "They're probably heading for the distraction but we might have to deal with some."

"I did not forget to pack guns," Xin replied.

Bringing the small Littoraria down near the middle of the intedictor, Delila rolled her eyes at the bickering of Xin and Brak on who packed what. This was her crew, this is what she chose to be stuck with. It was probably best on not to dwell on it for too long, especially when there was already the sounds of blaster fire echoing throughout the junk city.

Dropping off Xin and Brak was only the first half of her job, the second was to join Sewage Bird ( Kingsley Kingsley ) on the distraction portion. Others would be providing cover for the two and picking them up. Delila hoped she could fly low enough and pick up something half-way decent to steal. Her goal was to fly around a bit and distract the security forces while finding just the right thing to take. That is, if all went well.

Landing gear hit the dust, ramp lowering at the same time for Brak and Xin.

"Have fun out there."

Kingsley's hysterical laughter lasted just long enough for the scrap droids to begin shooting back. Now it was replaced with terrified screams. He clung onto the treadspeeder for deal life too scared anymore to focus on anything but escape. Maybe if the smuggler had paid attention to the plan instead of ogling his future wife he would have realized he triggered the distraction too early. Never assume the bird knew what he was doing.

"Big Bird to Red Riding Hood!" he squawked over his comlink, "Rrrrawk! My safeword is parsec! My safeword is PARSEC!"

Finally his luck ran out. Kingsley zigged when he should have zagged and the front of his treadspeeder exploded against stray debris, tipping him up end over end and soaring through the air like an actual bird before his flightless nature aggressively reasserted itself. Collapsed into a heap the smuggler groaned in pain even as he was surrounded by security bots.

"This is treason!" the deposed monarch wailed.

Droids exploded around him leaving behind showers of scrap. Kingsley blinked stupidly in surprise.

"Rrrrawk! Behold your immortal TRASH KING!"

Engines roared above him and Delila Castillon Delila Castillon sailed overhead.

"I knew you had a thing for me Red," he crooned at her.

"Where did we get the bird?" Brak, the huge barabel asked.

"Spacer's guild. Seems genuinely insane but a good distraction," Xin replied. He landed hard on the upper hull of the interdictor. Several scrap droids were still working on the ship and hadn't been drawn to Kingsley's arrivals.

Xin dropped to the hull, lying prone. He fired several shots to put them down and got back to his feet.

"Yeah they've stripped a fair amount of hull already. We are heading for the bridge and engineering. Hope there some power left..."

Rather than look for a hatch, Xin simply climbed down through several layers of hull and dropped into a deck. Not much light was entering the ship.

"Brak see if you can get some power back for me."

Having watched the small shavit show that was the bird, and politely wondering just how it managed to keep a membership. Their was a staunch realization of his indirect association with Kingsley Kingsley through the guild. Whether by proximity, word of mouth, it didn't matter. Granted, considering the trouble he usually had with even gathering a company to do a job, perhaps the Hiitian wasn't so bad? After this though, they would have to lay low for a while, unless Kingsley made such a show that he was all that was on everyone's mind.

It seemed the bird would be the word after this, if things played out right.

There was a soft sigh as the glance to the side had him seeing the pair finally hitting the topside of the interdictor below. He double checked the comm line, boosting his receiver signal in case the hull compromised his ability to hear them. The last thing he truly wanted was to set this all up only to fail because the comm didn't patch through.

Red Riding Hood? No way was she admitting out loud that it was an incredibly great nickname to be used in the future. The safe word....well, she wasn't touching that one in the slightest. In the background she could hear the scrap droids fighting back. At least the giant bird knew how to make a decent distraction.

One he made a bit too early but it better than nothing to give Xin, Brak and Zivos enough time to make the heist.

She had heard no safe word but circled back on Sewage Bird's location, eyes also scanning for a piece of scrap to pick up.

"Am I supposed to be picking you up now or are you still fighting with scrap droids?"
