Ali moved with Mid Team, clearing through the first length of corridor in the living sector. Flowing through in a staggered column, Ali and her Commandos dispatched nearly a dozen pirates in the first several minutes after entering, and secured over thirty civilians. The fight intensified as they neared the end of the platform, though High Team ended things swiftly via a rear end assault after coming down from the upper level. Five minutes after their initial breach, the battle was over, and Ali was helping Geft secure weapons while the rest took care of injured civilians.
::That went smoothly.:: Ali commented half-heartedly, wincing as her side ached. A pirate grenade had gone off in mid-flight at her side, throwing her against the wall. Enemy fire had followed, peppering her armor and scoring the body suit she wore underneath. It was the second time that evening the bodysuit had failed them the way it was designed, a complaint Ali would be certainly taking to her mother when this was all over.
::Hurry up, get this all wrapped.:: Ali ordered, turning her attention to the Verpine who professed to be in charge. She took off her helmet before addressing the scientist. ::Any idea what the pirates were after, other than the obvious control over the station or the possible ransom from trading hostages?:: The insectoid being's antennae twitched slightly, possibly picking up on errant radio signals transmitting throughout the station. "The phrik." The being trilled. "They're after the phrik stores. Taking hostages was their way to buy enough time to haul away the processed phrik readied for transport out of the system."
Ali grimaced, then replaced her helmet and brought the Fleet's official commanding channels. ::Republic Naval leaders, this is Commander Hadrix. I'm on board the station now with a Verpine scientist who says the pirates are trying to cover their escape with the system's processed phrik supply. They're probably moving it on a civilian transport, something we won't pay much attention to.::

Myra at first attempted to yank her blade free from its locked position, but the tension placed on them both prevented either from moving. The Sith brought their blades up, and Myra had no choice but to move with them or else let go of her blade. Their faces closed in and Myra sneered in disgust at the sound of its voice. Taunting her would not work, goading her would not work. Myra's entire fighting philosophy centered around singular focus on the objective at hand. Buying time, Myra expanded her absorption of the energy being loosed between them, gritting her teeth and snarling back. Myra spit blood as her lips stretched into a grin. As the Sith mutilated itself on the blade of Myra's own weapon, she jumped up high enough to plant her booted feet against the gut of her adversary, her hands holding her saber in a death grip. "Good luck feeding off of my emotions, monster."
She leaned in close and allowed the energy held between them to ebb and flow, the effort of building constantly on what the Sith was feeding her tearing at her personal strength. "I prefer enjoying them alone."
Myra deactivated her lightsaber and let the dam break, the energy gathered from the Sith's force upon her detonating between them. The noise of the explosion was ear-shattering, and the horde of beasts around them were thrown to the ground in a rotting, tangled mess. Myra herself was thrown across the hangar and into the far wall, crumbling to the floor in a heap of her own.

Lash smiled at the jedi as she ask about how her ship had preformed. He would have done many things different in its design but As a heavy fire support platform it was very well conceived and designed.

"Ah yes, It is a formidable warship indeed Master Raaf. I understand its intention and design. I would have made a few tangent choices but all in all it is a feat of engineering."

Lash looked out as a ship exploded in the distance. Only one of the pirate cruisers was left operations. The frigates which had not been destroyers were crippled. The battle was wrapping up and the time to clear out the trash was upon them. The reports of what ever they were calling zombies was troubling. SO was the presence of the Sith. It had answered some questions about why the pirates had behaved as they did but opened up far more questions than it answered.

The explosion caused water to boom upwards and every which direction, Requiem flew backwards into steam that was formed from the white hot lightning and explosion of power. There was silence in the hanger as if the woman who was crumpled to the ground had won with battle. The steam began to clear and a single dark figure cast against the steam stood straight, tall, and upright. Tattered robes and torn clothing revealed decaying scarred skin across the Sith's body. But they were not caused by battle, they appeared as deformities across the body.

Painful open sores, skin that barely hung to its body, and bones that pressed against and showed across a pale white frame. The Sith looked down at the pitiful woman from across the room and turned heel to walk towards their ship that was docked near the hanger.

"Come Sayl, it is time for us to leave." The Sith said as it walked towards the docking bay.

The blast had hurt the Sith, but the force sustained them now. It fed them the needed darkness to stay alive and not end up like the woman on the ground. They had to keep up appearances that they were invincible in front of their apprentice, weakness would not be tolerated and they had to know fear.

Willam Forlon stood on the hanger deck waiting for the last of his men to make it back. The two ordinance specialists walked through the door and smiled. They loved there job and Willam loved that they did. They walked over and handed Forlon the detonator and boarded the transport.

"We thought you might want to light the birthday candle sir."

The two men joined the rest of the platoon and stowed there stuff for the trip back. Forlons men laughed and joked behind him as they readied themselves for the short layover they would have before the next deployment. Forlon smiled and double checked that noone else was in the hanger. The upper areas of the shipyard would not be effected but from the lower hanger level down would soon be a tale told around campfires about things that never existed. Willam jumped up into the transport and held on as it lifted off the hanger. He pressed the small plunger like button and the floor of the hanger rippled as the munitions from the lower levels exploded sending fire and concussion trough the asteroid.

"What ever the big brass did not want getting out is gone now."

Forlon laughed and hit the switch to closed the door. As the gunship sped out of the hanger a ball of fire followed them as the explosive blast had found its way through the tight corridors of the asteroids lower levels and the hanger. Willam took his helmet off and sat it on the deck of the transport and took in a deep breath. Their job was done. Now it was up to Hadrix and her teams to secure the shipyards and mop up.

"We at Aurora Industries do try and make a product to be proud of," she said, happy that the Admiral at least appreciated the ship. Coming from a Chiss, that was a big compliment in her book. "We will be producing companion ships to supplement the Bastion, fill in those gaps it can't handle itself. It's a very large overarching project we have in mind. However, there is some other business to take care of now."

The pirates were mostly wiped out and they were now in position for a cleansing operation. Switching to the Republic operations frequency, she put a broad message.

"To all Republic forces sent to retrieve the queen and are on said station, you have five minutes to evacuate before the fleet begins the systemic destruction of the designated station to avoid any and all zombies escaping to elsewhere," she said, a timer appearing on the holodisplay.

In Umbris Potestas Est
Fire was unleashed upon the Avenger. Its shields soon crumpled completely as another assault concussion missile barrage bashed into it. It would be finished with one final barrage. Vitor himself smiled - whether or not the Republic purchased the design, it would be wonderful in publicity. The Legacy-Class Heavy Cruiser was a wonderful vessel to work with, something that he greatly enjoyed commanding as a part of Emeritus.

"Is there anything else we can do?"

Soemthing was very wrong in the belly of this station. The darkness that was forming in it was overwheleming. With the hangar floor under control Mantic rushed toward the inner blasterproof doors, as he was running he pressed his com contacting [member="Aston Jacobs"]

"How is the control room coming together? We need to deactivate the defensive turrets for more ships to start landing procedures." he panted under his breath

"Oh, and I sense something that is not right in here. Once you have the control room secured, return down here. I belive we need to assist the in tending to the wounded."

He reached the door way. Behind it was a long dark corridor. Something was coming from down there. He pressed the door and locked it to ensure that what ever it was it would not enter the hangar to easily.
Then he rushed back to join [member="Fadeyka"] [member="Rafeesh"] and hopefully [member="Aston Jacobs"] as well.

The beast of the Revenant made a the maneuver described to the pilot, twisting about to bring the top of the ship in line with the enemy vessel while also moving around behind it. The fresh shields started to take a pounding but it was nothing like what the guns of the vessel were giving to the enemy ship. As they moved around to the engines, the other ships shields fully gave out under the assault of the missiles and the heavy guns that were brought to bear by the Republic and Imperial arsenal.

Weapons fire ripped into the engine housing, decimating them in swift order before pounding further into the vessel. Mason had one goal in mind and that was the ships reactor as he wanted it fully destroyed lest they have to send men in to secure it and lose a bunch of them for no reason. Besides the ship was already severely damaged and it would be some time before the yard here was back up and running.

"Sir if we continue, we will-"

Mason held up a hand to cut him off.

"Continue firing. All hands brace for shockwave."

He moved back to his seat and settled in, hands on the arms as the weapons targeted the ships main reactor. The blast was enormous, ripping the other ship apart. The shockwave rattled the Revenant and sent a few crew members scattering. Once it was done and over, he lifted his hand.

"Full stop. We will assist the Jedi Admiral in taking down the station once the timer reaches zero since we are in range."

Her fight was over now, the hangar littered with the dead. A few smaller ships were beginning to approach, the forces of the Republic here to secure this part of the station. Minna herself merely stood still looking at it all. Years ago this would have been done out of hatred and greed, yet now it was for peace and a righteous cause. She had pulled herself from those depths and mastered the other side, the true side of the force. There was no regrets, never, but part of her felt like it was still adjusting. Such a stark contrast in a relatively small time, it had it's side effects.

Minna had much to meditate on, and only when she got out of this forsaken place could she do that. As Republic ships landed before her and deployed their troops, mainly medical crews and cleanup squads, she made her way over to one.
"Master Jedi." Their commander nodded respectfully, taking a moment from ordering his men. Her reply was a smile as always, the image of the always optimistic Jedi had to be maintained. Inside was another story, there was conflict but not on a worrying scale. She just needed to get home, clear her mind. The force would relieve her worries...

Lash finished his conversation with Master Raaf and turned his attention on the last of the cruisers. The ship had been holding strong through out the battle but seemed to be weakening now. Its shields were rippling with the heavy fire and in an instant were gone. The full power of the Bastion bracketed the ccruiser sending turbolaser bolts into its aged hull. The hot contained energy slammed into the vessels armor burning and scorching it, weakening it then digging through to open the ship to vacuum. The lights of the ship flickered then went out as the continual volley of fire found its way into the power core. The pirate ships weapons fell silent and the ships reactor exploded breaching the hull and blowing out the starboard side. The hull began to list and them began to roll slowly away from the shipyard to float lifelessly into the asteroid belt. With the last of the pirate ships gone it was time to finish the job.

"Have all vessels send in transports to evacuate the station."

Lash gave the order then leaned back to contemplate the events and information of the day. This secret mission the republic marines had carried out had peeked his interests. All he was told by his Republic contacts is that it was something The Republic did not want getting out. We all had our secrets, he understood that. What ever it was did not matter, what did was the presence of sith on the station. That was something he will meditate on, something that needed an answer.

Willam sat down in the ready room aboard the Evakmar thinking about the men and women he had lost today. 1st company was a tight group and the loss of seven of their friends would weight on them for awhile. They would morn them today and speak of them in remembrance as they intern them into the silent rest of space. They would join in stories about their lost friends over drinks and silently rejoice inside that they were not the ones lost this day. They would sleep, if they could, and wake up thankful for another day. They would do all this and be ready tomorrow for the next mission. Time waited for no being and the war with the One Sith would not pause for them to rest. It would not give way to their will of even need to be done with this war. Willam had no doubt that the mission tomorrow would cost the 1st company of the 222nd Rapid Response Corps more friends. Death was a constant in war and General Forlon knew it a constant in life as well.

The call to Evacuate came in rather forcibly. Strangely it didn't come from the army chain of command but from a Jedi that was heading up fleet movements. Normally Janira would have ignored this because it wasn't the proper chain of command but she didn't feel like causing a storm to blow up. That and she didn't particularly want to end up dead.

As the transports came in, she cut a line through the enemy. If any of her people on the station were still alive she hadn't heard from them, but she called anyway. The lack of response was noticeable. Instead of waiting, she climbed aboard one of the transports and held the ramp as others boarded. No zombies would be coming with them.

"Ma'am, technicians are reporting that every system is still running green," one of her lead designers said as she watched the countdown get lower and lower. "We took some strain to the first layer of shielding, but nothing that isn't able to be replenished in a the next few moments."

"Very good, a pity they were tested against such ancient ships, but that is what we must deal with when fighting pirates," she sighed. She hoped those on the station had heeded her call, time was almost up. Some transports were waiting still, Harbinger war droids deployed as guards so as to not add to the zombie ranks if something untoward happened.

"Anything else to report?"

"All weapons are aligned and ready, oh targeting data suggests a tiny calibration will be needed but beyond that, everything went smoothly this time. We received similar reports from the technicians on board Admiral Lash's ship, although they did state that they took a bit more shield drain. Recommendation that the reactor power conduits need to be more efficient."

"Noted. Captain, give the order to fire in two minutes."

"Yes, Master Raaf."

The sith knew it was time to go, the republic fleet was barring down on them and while he could survive such an attack their apprentice could not. Not that it particularly cared whether or not their apprentice died, it was more of a need that they live for the time being in order to have them assist with their work, their grand dark hallow. So taking their apprentice by the arm the Sith yanked them and proceeded to move towards the docking bay where their shuttle was located.

"Such a waste." It said as they entered the docking bay.

Stepping into their ship the Sith threw Sayl to the ground and stepped into the cockpit of the small shuttle. Detaching from the station the shuttle shot off into space and away from the republic fleet preparing to fire on the station.

"You have disappointed me today Sayl, do not do so again. Your failure will be punished by death should you do so." The Sith said it cranked the lever for hyperspace

The iconic spears of light pushed forward and soon the small shuttle was on a direct route to Kashyyyk, a place wounded enough in the force to allow him to draw power and spread death.

Viscous Thorn Walked out onto the hanger deck and grabbed General Forlon by the shoulders. The man was a massive being standing nearly eight foot tall. The Ragithian people were heavy gravity worlders and eons of evolution had made then into the perfect beasts of war. Forlon looked up at the monster of a man and smiled. Viscous returned the smile and sat beside the general.

"I heard we lost Simmons. He was a good man." Thorn closed his eyes and bowed his head remembering his friend. They had played sabacc in a weekly game and more then most times Thorn would come up owing the man his weeks pay. He opened his eyes and spoke again.

"I will miss the guy, I still owe him two hundred credits from last week. I will make sure his kid get it."

Forlon felt the heavy hand on his shoulder and looked up at the mountain standing beside him. Ragithian were all massive but Thorn was scary. The scars and ocular implant made him look more monster than man. HE smiled at the mad as he sat beside him.

Yeah, Simmons, Danials, Marik and lee bought it in the first assault on the hanger. The others defending it from a counter attack. We will have the service later. Your company doesn't have to attend. I know they are not the sort to grieve. Also you need to be ready for tomorrow.

Willam looked down at the ground thinking about his friends and how he would have to tell their families. That was the worst part of his job. The Ragithian man stood and looked off into the sky through the barrier which kept the vacuum from ripping everyone and every thing out of the Evakmar. Forlon looked up and noticed it was not the stars Viscous was looking at. It was the shipyard in the distance. The place his friend died, the place all of their friends had fallen.

Objective: Exterminate the infestation

Two minutes had passed, the people on the station should have evacuated by now ... those that had survived. But to give any survivors ample time to get away, she would have fire control take apart any section of the infested station. She could feel the dark side presence leaving the station and she was of half a mind to scramble fighters ... and then it was gone. She logged the feel of that presence away though. The Sith didn't know it ... but he had just earned a spot on her destroy on sight list.

"Captain, begin your bombardment of the station, aim away from hangers to give survivors maximum amount of time to evac. We can't allow the infection to spread."

"Yes, Master Raaf."

As one, every single turbolaser, both standard and long-range, battery on the Bastion-class opened fire on the station. To any still inside the station, they would have moments now to get out before the station was completely destroyed.

Lash

Lash stood and walked to the air operations station. The groups CAG had been busy deploying and diverting anything and everything to evac the station. It seemed thet Master Raaf had an aversion to undead and was intent on destroying the starbase.

"Sir, I have deployed all of the Evakmar's transports and dropships to rescue and evacuation duty's. We have evacuated nearly fifty percent of the station now, but I do not think we will get everyone off before the countdown."

Lash grimiced for a moment then remember there were no Chiss on the station.

"Very well, once the countdown reaches thirty seconds have anything that has not left get out. whoever is left behind will be considered a hero of the Empire."

Lash walked back to his command chair and sat down. The cleanup and reintegration process would be the next hurdle to jump in in securing the belt and rebuilding the shipyards. HE would be returning to Cardia with the Bastion for a evaluation of the ship post battle and to see to the launching of the three Prosecutors. His job here was done for the most part. The Republic Engineers would come in now and start the process of getting the belt back in shape. Much of the force would move on to the next target. The Imperial fleet would not. The Evackmar Mk III Assault ship now belonged to the Rebel Alliance. They would use it for the remaining engagements of the campaign. Lash would return to what was now his home.

Reports were coming in about the infestation being controlled and the station was slowly surrendering to republic supremacy.

Mantic saw [member="Rafeesh"] among the wounded. He seemed to be managing. It must have been a trisl for his newest padawan and Mantic considered this an important marking in his redemption.

There had been so many times he could have turned to anger and fear, or even lured by the dark side presence further inside the station.
But despite that [member="Rafeesh"] saw this as a failure Mantic placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder.

"I will not say this often padawan. But today you have made me proud." he nodded before standing up turning his attention to the orher wounded in the temporary hospital.
