Rough and dry chuckles of laughter came from its mouth behind the mask, the sound comparing to that of a heavy predatory cat hacking up a fur ball. The specter simply laughed for a few moments before flicking its hand over to the apprentice besides him, it was a gesture for her to prepare to move. They had accomplished their job here and the infection was spreading, the taint of darkside energy spilling into the purity of life to corrupt it. Despite what the woman had just cut down there were dozens more on the station, the entire pirate crew and staff turning into these soulless monsters.

"You have come for her yes?" The specter said motioning to the tied and bound verpine Queen.

The masked Sith moved around the room with its saber still light until it came to the side of the insect queen. Rubbing the creatures head it lay its mask against her head softly and looked as if it were giving it a kiss.

"She is yours, take her." The specter said as he began to walk towards the exit.

"I do not wish to waste my energy on killing thee. It would be beneath me." It said in its metallic raspy voice.

The figure however reached its hand out to the other pirate prisoners and without a second thought or warning their chests burst open rib cages expanding to create a fog of blood and bile. The Sith Lord took this time to grab its apprentice by her shirt and drug her down the hall to let their opponent float through the mist.

But the Sith had other plans and right now it wasn't to be here. They had to leave. So once the blood stained two were outside of the room and in the hall the master began to work the force. Where [member="Jaccer Ramirez"] engaged in a firefight dozens of white eyed undead began to pour into their location via the pirates side. Chomping down in Their throats and tackling to the ground where the zombies expelled bright red liquid into their mouths the Sith had ordered them to charge the republic forces to try and convert them as well.

"Let us be off my child." The Sith Lord said as they walked into the room where Jaccer and its zombies were having their human happy meals.

She watched him, and the girl. She watched them both, blade at the ready. These were Sith, she could tell that, and she hadn't faced them before, but she would face them without fear now. She would face them and she would show them the true power of the Echani. She was fully prepared to die if that was what was necessary, though she didn't feel as if that would be the case in this battle. She felt confident, calm. Prepared.

And then they walked away. She let them. Only the foolhardy chased unnecessarily after an opponent. She moved towards the Verpine queen instead. As she did so, she heard the call of Jaccer and tapped her comms.

"Two and four. Hangar three."

A squad of Echani operatives and a squad of EMBU'ss would move swiftly towards the hangar in question, set to help their compatriots by coming at the enemy from behind.

"Three, sweep for survivors and rendezvous at the ship."

She cut the bonds that tied the Verpine queen and helped her to her feet. Not a word was said as she motioned back the way that she'd arrived from. The insect woman moved swiftly that direction, and Janira followed. Only when they were out of the mess hall did she turn her back on it.

"Target secure. Station is a lost cause. Prepare withdrawal."

Ali and her platoon split up as they reached the cross-corridor, where the bodies of the five dead men lay in disregarded heaps in the darkness. The Commandos stepped over the bodies as they broke apart, 4th Squad heading North as Ali continued to the Security Sector's main entry point to the East. The corridors were empty save for pairs of pirates here and there on patrol in the dark. The snippets of conversation the Commandos gleaned from their targets betrayed their nervous and unprepared state, and Ali began worrying about the ease of their objective thus far. The resistance was light and widely dispersed, which meant the pirates were spread too thin, had bit off more than they could chew, or were holding back forces in reserve. The latter was a nerve-wracking thought; it instilled the possibility that the Republic response had been expected and that pointed to an ambush.
Ali updated her Commandos on the consideration, then made contact with 1st and 2nd Squads for a sit-rep. ::First is securing the Logistics Sector now, mum.:: The accent belonged to Givens. ::We've neutralized eight targets thus far. Lightly armed.::
The situation was similar with 2nd Squad, a handful of lightly armed hostiles and otherwise lacking defenses.
::This is too easy, Commander.:: Geft noted, saying what everyone was thinking. He called for a halt ahead with a hand signal. Ali took a knee at his side. ::What's your thinking then, Geft?:: She asked. The man thought for a moment, then looked up. ::The North passage Fourth Squad took lifts up a level before reaching the Security Hub. We'll have to take a lift up one floor just to get in there; they've probably got a set of E-WEB's waiting for us. Instead of taking the lift, we could leave a remote breaching charge on the ceiling, then perform the actual breach on the West wall.::

Ali nodded. ::A distraction charge; we could subvert whatever they have waiting for us.::
::Exactly.::
::Let's do it.::
Ali ordered, contacting 4th Squad and updating them. ::Fourth, you've probably got a defense waiting for you, we're going to blow a distraction charge, then breach the West wall. I want you in just after us, while their defense is distracted.:: 4th's Squad Leader replied to affirm the orders she'd received. Ali caught their icons on her HUD hold in place around the corner from the Security Hub's North entry point.

Lusk and his men had gotten the call that the target was secure and it meant they had to bounce. They had also gotten the call that zombies were running rampant on the station, which was not good. With this information in hand Lusk made the executive decision to pull out.

"Fall back boys! Go Go Go!!" He yelled to his men.

Running back to the hanger the clones jumped into space and used their jet packs to shoot their way back to their drop ships. Once aboard they would pull back to the fleet and see where else they were needed. Throwing off his helmet the clone commander sighed and rubbed his temples.

Zombies? Sith Lords? What kind of mess was he born to clean up. Whatever it was he was up to the task and would keep fighting for the republic and her allies.

Unknown to the Republic forces currently holding off the pirates, a new enemy was approaching. An enemy which was very different to their opposition right now. Blaster fire would continue in both direction for some time until... one side stopped. The pirates had either completely stopped firing or were firing in a different direction. Either way this was not a good strategy for war, but it did make Jaccer and the other soldiers curious.

Peering over their cover, the Republic force was victim to an ungodly sight. Rows of what could only be described as zombies, charging straight towards them. Any pirates which had been present before were now being ripped to pieces or converted by the undead. With no incoming blaster fire or ranged weaponry, it was clear what had to be done. "Light 'em up!" Lieutenant Ramirez would shout over the murmurs of the undead army. "Hurrah!" was the only response from the soldier before they unleashed a storm of red plasma. Upon impact with the fleshy bodies of the undead the plasma would explode and rip skin from muscle and muscle from bone. As the zombies neared the fire became less and less accurate until all the soldiers were hoping for was to hit something.

Ali funneled down the corridor with the rest of 3rd; Vitor planted the distraction charge on the ceiling along the West side of the level above. They continued onward before cutting up an East-turning staircase that brought them to the upper level. The lights up here were off, and the corridor cut North as it opened up into large court that surrounded the sealed Security Hub. The chamber itself was roughly 20 meters long and wide, with only two entry points. Ali verified with 4th that they were in position, and once ready, signaled for her teams to split and cover either side of the wall. Geft placed the breaching charge against the plasteel wall face, snapped the seal off and twisted the activation knob. The device's signaling lights powered on and Geft nodded to Ali. She nodded back. ::Blow it.:: Geft signaled the first charge's detonator from his helmet controls and below them they felt the station shudder. After a couple of seconds went by, Geft blew the secondary breaching charge and the wall disappeared in a cloud. Thunder shook the Security Hub's innards as the wall blew inward, the vacuum pressure from the explosion sucking dust and debris with it. Ali followed Geft inside, the rest of the Squad rushing in behind her. Ali lifted her rifle the moment she passed through the entry way, taking in the view around her. Dust filled the area as Ali and her Squad burst inside. The lights inside the Security Hub were alive and well, her HUD switched itself automatically from Night to Day Sight mode. Pirates appeared to her left and ahead, both focused on anything but her and her Commandos. Fourth Squad was rushing in as well, the main doorway was little more than a blackened hole. Their weapons clicked furiously as Ali and her Squads dispatched more than a dozen pirates in as many seconds, colluding together a half minute after the joint-breaching to check over one another and establish security at the entry points.

The tall Sith Lord and it's apprentice walked out from behind the walls of zombies that were charging the republic line. Most falling to the ground before they could get to the line others found the various bodies scattered from the firefight in the middle ground and started to puke new life into them. Blood red liquid filled the mouths of the fallen and soon their bodies began to shake and stand to join the ranks of the undead that charged the lines. As dozens died once more the Sith Lord was greeted by an Enchani squad that were attempting to flank their zombies from the rear and envelop them.

"Wheat before the scythe." The Sith Lord said as it placed its saber to the side.

Lifting up its fingers in two outstretched hands the Sith focused in its energy and spewed blue lightning at the commando squads. The Sith Lord let out cackles of raspy dry laughter as it did so, it loved to watch its prey squirm. The screams and pain of their torment brought on by him and him alone. It was sheer euphoria to his evil and every single moment was as great as the next.

"Die." The Sith rasped slowly.

Stepping forward the Sith intensified the lightening against the Echani and wanted them to feel the pain. Beneath the mask there would be an expression of pure carnal joy and love for this. The specter's apprentice had best be watching to learn his ways, to learn what it was like to see those burn underneath true power.

::How are we looking?:: Ali asked, glancing left and right to look over the damage. Dust had landed in the areas beyond the entry points, coating the bodies of the dead pirates. Geft kicked one of them with his boot; the sucker didn't move. ::Looks like we're sitting pretty.:: He muttered, gesturing to the main entrance. ::They had two E-WEB's sitting waiting for us, and all their barricades were arrayed that way.::
Ali wanted to laugh at their idiocy, but remembered her own extensive training and experience. These pirates did what they did for any number of reasons, none of which had to do with them being experienced professionals. ::Let's get the Security systems under wraps.:: Ali ordered, heading over to the primary console and ran a status check on the station's systems. Everything was intact, though no targeting parameters had been set. ::This is wrong...all of it.:: Ali muttered. Geft stepped over and glanced at the read-out. ::It's not right, that's for damn sure. Maybe they were in the process reprogramming when we showed up?::

Ali shook her head. ::If half of them were inactive, maybe, but all of them? Something isn't right here.:: Ali closed the weapon status report and brought up the access logs. ::These systems were touched once around the time the pirates were reported to show up in the system, and not since. The parameters were wiped and left that way.::
Geft figured it out at the same time she did. ::They wanted us to land...they wanted us here.::

Ali frowned from within the confines of her helmet. ::But why?::

::Commander, we've got trouble.:: Ali heard the voice in her head. It was Givens again. ::We finished securing the Logistics Sector, but we're under attack from a substantial pirate force. Looks to be thirty or forty of them, mum.::

Ali cursed. ::Do you have a way out?::
The reply took a moment. ::No.:: Was all he said.

::New task, we're heading to the Logistic Hub. Astor, stay here and retarget those weapons; link up with the Republic fleet leadership and coordinate attack efforts. The rest of you, you're with me.:: Ali stepped away from the console and turned toward the entry point they'd made just minutes before. What she saw through the charred hole in the wall drained the blood from her face. Pirates were rushing up the stairwell, shouting angrily in a variety of tongues from Rodian to Basic. Ali lifted her rifle and began firing.

Myra followed the charge, the red blade of her lightsaber glaring at the enemy, which had turned into a sea of monsters. She cut left and right, severing the heads of the beasts with smooth, swift motions. She sidestepped one of the monsters and cut it down from behind, then turned to face the rest of the horde. "This is not going to end well," she said aloud, backpedaling out of the approaching horde's reach and glancing around the hanger. A Verpine starfighter was cradled in the embrace of its docking arms in the air above the floor of the hangar. Myra brought her arm back and threw her lightsaber into the air, guiding it with the Force toward the docking arm. The arm sparked as the red blade cut through it and began arcing back down toward Myra's outstretched hand. The blade deactivated and returned to her; with her free hand she gestured and halted the progression of the monsters angling her way, immediately feeling the toll the exertion placed on her. The starfighter sagged in its docking arm and lurched forward, then finally slipped free and crashed into the floor of the hangar with a resounding BOOM.
The starfighter's fuel cells ruptured and exploded, enveloping the area in a swatch of fire. Myra felt herself thrown backwards as the concussive force struck her body; she was forced to guide herself to a stable landing with a gentle application of the Force. The bodies of monsters showered the area and the floor was coated in flames. As large a dent as she'd put in the encroaching hoard, more still arrived to fill the void. Myra's gaze flitted back and forth trying to gauge the general plan for the Republic's forces, and kept an eye out for [member=Jaccer Ramirez] himself.

The gunship spun around and fired a tight grouping of missiles into the secondary hanger. The concussion threw the pirates to the ground and gave the transport time to land and deploy. Forlon once again stepped off the transports deck into a hail storm of fire. The smaller hanger was a tight fit for the gunship and in landing it crushed two pirates under if repulsor fields. The remaining pirates had set up in the access ways from the hanger to the shipyards. Forlon through three thermal detonators at the access door igniting the area in burning hot plasma eating away at the hull and walls. When the explosion was done the last of the pirates in the hanger were gone, nothing left of them but ash.

"Secondary hanger secured. proceeding to objective delta."

Forlon looked at his men then pointed at a squad and sent them to secured the rest of the hanger. The remaining two squads formed up on him and began making their way into the shipyard. The access way into the main body of the shipyards had been unguarded for now. Forlon assumed the bulk of the pirates were dealing with Hadrix and her forces at the moment. That was the plan, they needed to get in and deal with their last objective with as little noise as possible.

"Hand signals from here on out." Willan whispered. His men passed the word back and the twenty men continued to move into the shipyard. deeper and deeper into the belly of the beast.

"Ma'am, unknown contacts are arriving at mark 3.23," a sensor officer called out. "Three crusiers and a handful of frigates are moving to engage us while the Imperials are dealing with the original pirate group."

"Weapons are green, ma'am along with shields," another officer called.

"Bring us about and take them apart, monitor all systems and keep data streaming to the technicians, especially when they start firing on us," Taeli ordered. As the Aurora task force came about to face the enemy forces, she could feel a darkness emanating from one of the asteroids. A Sith Lord was here and she could feel the results of a very familiar spell. Necromancy always had a distinct feel in the Force. Welp, they were going to have to write off that asteroids in a bit, once the pirates were dealt with.

A few moments later, the two PulseFlare Heavy Cannon Cruisers had firing alignments and two roiling balls of plasma stormed towards one of the pirate frigates. A few seconds later, all 100 long-range turbolaser batteries on the Bastion opened up on one of the pirate cruisers. Ancient design, not even strong enough to deal with current ships.

The two balls of plasma impacted against the frigate and the explosion was something to see, while the turbolaser batteries were making quick work of the cruiser's shields. Another volley and they would be gone and the ship would most likely be destroyed.

In the distance the new contacts made their way to engage the Imperial ships. Lash looked out at the ancient vessels and pondered what their commanders must be thinking. How can you make someone who is generally selfish and cowardly and give them the bravery to engage a force more powerful by at least ten fold. Something was not right here, these pirates did not have a change and it was obvious. What matter of madness could be driving them. The thought was fleeting as he decided it did not matter. Why does he care about the minds of inferior aliens. This was just one more example of Chiss superiority.

"Lock on with long range weapons and target the cruisers." Lash said almost half uninterested. His mind had begun to drift back to the problem of why they continued to fight. It was not normal even for humans. There must be some outside variable Lash was not seeing. Something that was going on behind the battle. Something very very bad.

Ali flicked the selector on her rifle to "Auto" and allowed her Verpine to literally breathe rounds. They'd already killed a score of pirates in the West hall, and the several at the main entrance. The lift had not been breached, though Ali suspected this was only due to the pirate's inadequacies and were unable to revert the lockdown Geft had placed on the lift system.
The pirates were packing blaster rifles and scattershot weapons, with a grenade here and there. Several of them gathered near the top of the stairs and fired over the top step, restricting Ali and her squad to primarily headshots. Every now and again, an idiot pirate would storm the hall and end up dead five feet into his rampage.

::Givens, how are you holding up!?:: Ali called, yanking a thermal imploder from her belt and priming it. She tossed the grenade into the air across the Security Hub; it hit the ground beyond the hole in the wall and rolled across the floor. After a moment it detonated, sucking several pirates inward before incinerating them and throwing their remains into the air with a BOOM!!!
::We're fine, Jauls has been shot, but he's on his feet. What about you?:: Givens' response came sounding stressed, and she suspected their situation was far more dire than he was letting on.
::Keep it together, we're almost out of here.:: She assured him, though he'd know the words were false. Blaster bolts seared the air over her head and sparks showered her armor. Several ricocheted off her plates and burnt holes into the walls and ceiling. Somewhere behind her, a console exploded, and a rain of sparks came washing over her anew.
::Astor, how's the North?:: Ali demanded.
::I think we're thinning them out!:: The man replied. Ali heard and felt a grenade go off in Astor's direction.
::It's Funke, Astor's out cold. Grenade got him.::
Ali cursed. ::Leave him for now, push forward and head back down that corridor. I need you to flank the West hall, we're getting beat down here, and they won't stop showing up with reinforcements.:: By now Ali and her squad had killed over two dozen pirates, and there didn't seem to be any sign of their numbers thinning.
::Got it.:: Was Funke's only response and Ali watched his squad's icons begin to shift position along the edge of her HUD.

Across the chamber, Funke signaled for his squad to press forward. Two of the Commandos established a steady stream of fire whilst the other three prepped and tossed a wave of grenades. They landed amongst the pirates gathered around the corner of the hall and exploded, throwing their bodies against the far walls. Immediately Funke and his pair were pressing forward while the other two reloaded and followed behind. There were four more pirates around the corner, clutching their blaster rifles and huddling against the near wall. Funke popped around the corner and wasted them with a quick series of bursts from his rifle, then lead the charge down the hall at a full sprint. In less than a minute they rejoined the main corridor, peeking out to check it was clear before turning right and progressing toward the West side of the Security Hub.
::Hold up.:: Funke muttered over the commlink as they neared the turn to the staircase that led back up to the West side of the chamber. The squad slowed and waited while he tossed a sensor bug against the fall wall. After checking the report he relayed the situation to the squad. ::We've got twenty-odd hostiles, no rear security. Prep four flash grenades, two imploders, and one full auto rifle.:: Behind him, Abram nodded, then turned to the rest and began splitting the work amongst each other. Moments later, Abram returned with two flashbangs cradled in one hand. Aulx held the two imploders and Funke hefted his rifle.

::Ready when you are, Aulx.:: Funke said, nodding to the man. Aulx returned the gesture and took his place at the end of the wall, then peeked out just long enough to toss both imploders up the stair case. One landed amongst the pirates at the top of the stair, the other bounced off the shoulder of a pirate before detonating. The grenades detonated and lit the corridor up in flames before casting aside the bodies it had gathered. The corpses writhed with flames and the concussive force flattened their nearby comrades. Before the pirates could recover, Abram chucked his flash grenades around the corner and Funke waited to hear them detonate. When they did, he popped around the corner with his rifle up, Abram's hand grasping his shoulder plate. Funke unleashed a fury of fire into the recovering gang of pirate scum, pumping rounds into the living and dead alike. ::Commander, push out!:: Funke called as Abram pulled him forcefully back around the corner; stray blaster bolts peppered the far wall passed his head.

Moments later, Funke was reconnecting with Ali and 3rd Squad, who had already recovered Astor, who was coming around. The right shoulder plate of his armor was blackened and charred, as was that side of his helmet. ::Damn thing went off right beside my fecking head.:: He lamented. Ali nodded. ::Your comms are buzzy, keep an eye on that. Now let's get moving.:: She ordered. The squads regrouped and pressed back to the main corridor, heading West toward the Logistics Hub, all hoping Givens and his squad were still alive.

"Shields dropping below fifty percent on starboard side, but holding steady."

Mason snapped his fingers to call for attention. After doing so he lifted his hand once again. The helmsmen was the one paying attention when he did this. It was a technique that he'd adopted while he'd been gone. He found that, in the scheme of command of a single vessel, controlling it in this manner was the most effective way in which to convey what he wanted. While he was good at articulating, he found that the crew sometimes struggled to understand the exact desire that he had.

As the helmsmen watched, he pushed his hand forward, rolling it to the right, while also twisting it in that direction. The helmsman nodded and turned back to his station.

"Three quarters speed. Guns redirect fire on the Avenger's aft section."

With the other vessel firing missiles from the other side, and them pounding the ship on this side, the Avenger was in dire straights. His maneuver would roll the ship to present the top, bringing the most guns to bear, and allow them to target the engines and power center of the ship. It would also present, once again, fresh shields, keeping the Revenant from taking any damage. Between the two vessels, the Avenger would soon be destroyed.

The pain that radiated through the Force grated on her nerves, knuckles whitening around the hilt of her saber, that crimson flicker never seeming to leave her eyes. Never had Sayl been any sort of empath, but she wasn't a fan of causing unnecessary suffering when it would serve to end another's life in one fell swoop. It was plain to see, however, that this Sith reveled in it, and so expected her to draw the same enjoyment from watching others writhe on the ground in pain. But she wouldn't, no matter how much he insisted she learn the opposite. Throughout this apprenticeship, if she would retain one thing, it would be her collective humanity. Even that he couldn't take from her.

Her brow furrowed slightly as she watched him bring down the lines of soldiers, this wraith of a man who didn't seem to have a corporeal form outside of the armor and robes he always donned. There was no doubting his strength, but it was possible to respect one for their relative power and still despise them. That embody her sentiments wholly, and though she wasn't quite ready to admit it to herself yet, she knew she hated him, this excuse for a man that had taken her under his wing in order to turn her into something like him, a monster. But she wouldn't. She couldn't. Out of the Bane siblings, she was supposed to be the better one, the stronger one. And she refused to give that up.

Sometimes, however, not giving up looked a lot like the opposite in a certain light. And so, muscles in her arm taughtening, she rared the arm holding her blade back and let it fly into the paralyzed gathering of soldiers, controlling the arc via the ethereal and cutting them down. In her mind she rationalized it as a mercy, and that was what it would be. No other move was made to attack, and she only stood there after the weapon had returned to her grasp, flicking it around her fingers but otherwise remaining in one place. Again she glanced to her Master, not searching for his approval but rather his reaction to what she had done. This was something of the moment of reckoning, and she was ready.

More streaks of energy were launched from the turbolaser batteries, and the targeted enemy cruiser took a withering amount of damage. The bow had exploded open and chunks of the hull were missing in several sections. The engine units were barely functional, and now they were in range of the other weaponry on board. More streaks of energy from the normal turbos opened up and the cruiser disappeared in a flash of debris and flame. However, it did mean the Bastion-class had moved into the enemy's firing range.

Shields rippled as enemy turbolasers impacted against the shields, but Taeli wasn't too worried. The Bastion had been under going extensive testing in the last few months, and all power issues had been solved finally and the redundant layers of shielding were strong now.

"Contact Admiral Lash, I want to hear his current report on what he thinks of the Bastion-class," Taeli said, watching as targets were shifted and the Bastion opened up on an enemy frigate.

Mantic sensed [member="Aston Jacobs"] approaching. It was the second time they faced battle side by side. Even though the last battle had been something entirely different.

"Indeed padawan," Mantic smiled at him. "it looks rather hectic. If you would not mind clearing out the hangar control room, I belive they will try to close the hangar doors. Keep your head at the right position." Mantic winked and then rushed up into the air, an outstretches had bashed away an incoming blaster shot.

The war droid stood steady at the far end of the hangar. Beams of laser and rockets launcing to destroy the ships the jedi had arived in. Mantic grabbed a cable hanging high up in the air and swung himself up onto a cat walk. Rushing along it he pushed a pirate defender down the edge of the cat walk and darted passed the location of another one, he was left with only one arm.

Well above the war droid Mantic did not stop but threw himself over him, his saber pointed downward in an attempt to hit the droid from above.

Finally there came the break she needed, the gunner having overheated his turret. She wasted no time, sprinting towards the vantage point where the man stood, her lightsaber flicking left and right to deflect bolts back at their senders. Soon enough she found herself underneath the balcony, and with a mighty leap with the force she was then above him, bearing down with her blade. He couldn't draw his pistol quick enough to avoid being sliced in two.

Now she had the high ground, and the soft whisper of the turret cooling down made her smirk. Holstering her lightsaber on her belt, she took hold of the turret with both hands. Short, controlled bursts rained down on the pirates at her will, cutting them down one by one. They tried to run, maybe even cry out for mercy, but they had sealed their fate when they came to terrorise the Republic.

Moments later the hangar was clear, only the bodies of pirates and their ship remained. Allowing herself to drop from the balcony and land with a graceful glide, she examined her work. It had been something of a slaughter, but she was not guilty. They were pirates, scum, and they threatened the Republic. This room, these events, showed just how far she would go for her Republic...

Rafeesh was behind again, he had gotten to his fighter along with the rest, but his ship had been half on fuel. He had had to wait while the prep crew refilled and did a check on the ship's tank. They had found a minute leak, not enough to severely hamper performance, but it would cut a lot of flight time. Pickers can't be choosers he reminded himself as he thanked the crew and took the ship off.

He flew as quickly as he could, taking a few close shots as he did so. He was not a trained pilot, never had been. He had accomplished a few simple maneuvers before he reached the hangar. His time was perfect as the Force would have it. His ship entered through the hangar shielding right into the path of an oncoming rocket. Fortunately for Rafeesh the shields took the brunt of the explosion, saving his life more than likely. However the blast was enough to crumple the nose of his vessel inward and cause him to lost control. The ship began a corkscrew as it came to the ground, rolling across the floor as it moved from one side of the hangar to the other.

A few unlucky pirates were caught in his ship's death roll, but not enough to make a difference. The fighter smashed into a wall and started burning off the fuel that was left. Rafeesh was unsure of where he was for a moment, or if he was still upright. He tried to move and found that something was wrong with his left wrist, as a pain shot up through his arm to tell him of the problem. He sorely wished he had his lightsaber at the moment, he could have been out of here in moments. As it was he had a training saber that was stored in the small cargo container on the ship's aft portion. He could not reach it at the moment.

He put his right hand on the broken transparisteel, cutting the flesh as he did so, trying to move himself. He found that he was upside down. His canopy was smashed inwards and on the ground. He tried to move himself to get upright, his head hurting form impact and the blood rushing there. He partly succeeded and found himself in an even more awkward position that he didn't see how he could rectify without breaking something of his. He closed his eyes. The ship around him wanted to help him get out, but how did they want to?

He tried to calm himself, tried to put his attention into using the Force to break free. He could feel the ship around him as well as the pirates that moved around the burning wreck, obviously assuming that nobody could have survived. He tried to put his strength into pushing through the floor, which was warm from the fire and slightly more malleable due to it. He tried to use the Force to aid him, but he couldn't tell if he was getting anywhere. He hoped the battle outside was going well, he would have hated to break free only to be shot down before he could take a step. His first battle after becoming an almost Jedi again and he had already crashed his fighter, what a way to start he thought to himself with a humorless smile.

Mantic came crashing down on the head of the droid. His saber first missed the head and burried itself deep into its left shoulder part. ITs gun attached to that limb fell numb. Then it shook furiously and started to wave its other three limbs upward in an effort to try and remove the jedi on top of it. Mantic dodged the first arm, then got hit by the second - sending him flying into the nearby wall with a sound thud.

The droid had a lethal bulk of weaponry attached itself and now it prepared to aim the bulk of it toward Mantic. He swallowed and stood, lifting up his left hand purple lightning flew out from his fingertips hitting the droids central core. Before it could counter it was stuck in a fizzing and hissing stunned status giving it nothing to work with but making strange sounds and shake its metal hull.

Mantic stepped closer keeping the purple lightning steady and aimed until he stood just in front of the machine. Then he let it go and the droid fell numb to the floor. Mantic pressed his saber down and finished it.

He rose and looked for [member="Aston Jacobs"] - he wondered if he was going to have any problems with the control room. Then he felt something else.

Pain... danger.... [member="Rafeesh"]

Mantic reached out fast and empowered his body to move as fast as possible through the hangar, turning and flipping to avoid obstacles and enemy fire alike. In the far corner he could see a crashed republic fighter. It had to be [member="Rafeesh"] s

Jumpin over a broken pillar he landed just next to it. He sensed his padawan being in pain.

He closed his eyes and reached out. The ship was large, it would require a massive amount of focus on his part. With a tap on his com he contacted [member="Aston Jacobs"]

"I will be trusting on you keeping the enemy busy for a while."

Then he gathered himself by sitting down on his knees and lifting both his hand toward the vessel. It shrieked and groaned in pain as he slowly managed to form a steady grip around it. Sweat started to drip from his forehead, he felt the stress of the situation and it was hard to block it all out.
The ship moved slightly to the side, then back again. Grimacing Mantic formed fists gnawing at the open palm of his hand.
The ship protested but then turned to the side, having its hatch pop open allowing its pilot to drop out.

With his left hand he then pulled [member="Rafeesh"] away from underneath the ship and dropped it with a sound crash against the floor again.
Mantic rushed forth to immideately check up on his padawan. A sincere concerned look crossing his features.
