STRENGTHS

• Stealth: The All Terrain Armored Stealth Transport is equipped with a number of features that makes it difficult to detect, such as a Sound-Baffling System, Reflec Coating, Sound Dampeners and even a CC-Y Antiradar Defense Unit
• Cloaking: Using its Antiradar Defense Unit, the AT-AST can temporarily cloak itself for a limited amount of time
• Armored: The AT-AST retains the heavy armor that is utilized on its predecessors, making the walker difficult to destroy in combat
• Transport: The AT-AST is capable of transporting up to 30 fully armed and armored men within its spacious hull
• Scrambled eggs: The AT-AST is equipped with a number of electronic warfare systems, which it can utilize even when cloaked

WEAKNESSES

• Stealth: Though equipped with numerous stealth features, the AT-AST is still an AT-AT series walker, making it difficult to keep stealth when deployed onto the battlefield
• Cloaking: The AT-AST can only keep its cloaking activated for a short period of time before requiring recharge
• Large: Like all AT-AT series walkers, the AT-AST is a massive, lumbering target, making it difficult to miss even at long range
• Firepower: Though relatively well armed, the AT-AST is outclassed by comparably sized vehicles when it comes to onboard firepower
• Expensive: The AT-AST is quite expensive to manufacture, limiting the walker's overall usage and deployment

DESCRIPTION

Although the idea of a "stealthy" All Terrain Armored Transport may seem ludicrous, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant does see value in implementing such an idea, and has teamed up with the N&Z Umbrella Corporation to create the All Terrain Armored Stealth Transport, or AT-AST. Rather than use for prolonged battlefield engagements or long term infiltration efforts, the AT-AST is designed to inflict maximum damage in a short timeframe, "appearing" out of nowhere after penetrating deep inside enemy defenses and fortifications.

To achieve this, the AT-AST comes equipped with numerous stealth features, such as a Sound-Baffling System, Reflec Coating, Sound Dampeners and a CC-Y Antiradar Defense Unit, making the AT-AST surprisingly difficult to detect whether cloaked or uncloaked. The AT-AST is furthermore capable of transporting up to thirty heavily armed and armored soldiers within its spacious hull, making the walker an excellent "home base" for raiders and saboteurs.

Of course, the AT-AST is quite capable of engaging in combat despite its somewhat reduced armament, and its heavy armor allows the walker to survive serious punishment once it breaks stealth. That being said, the AT-AST, like all AT-AT series walkers, is still a slow and lumbering target, vulnerable to enemy counterattacks when out of stealth, and is something of a priority target considering its role and lack of overall numbers.
