All For One

Mereel sighed and gave Seo a small smile after her hand squeeze. Garlan had explained a lot of Seo's question, although he probably would have chosen not to bring up the nearly-suicidal grenade thing, at least initially.

"Yeah, that monster. Probably should've told you about that before we came here.. but it's not exactly something I like thinking about that much."

His smile sank a little as he said it, but he tried to cover it up by pouring himself some whiskey and taking a long swig. The familiar burn of drink helped refortify his demeanor, "Silver lining though, that 9 foot Dravalan is the reason I got this."

He flashed Seo a sly grin as he held up his metal arm for a second, "Wouldn't be the man I am today without it."

Mereel frowned a little. The force here was.. odd. Dark and light was interspersed throughout the main hall, and one of the dark presence's anger was bubbling up. It made him more than a little antsy. Garlan may have picked up on it, but Seo would definitely notice his left hand subconsciously hover close to his left hip if she was paying any attention to him. Currently, it was where his lightsaber was tucked away under his pants, but before that where his favorite blaster pistol usually was.

"Go on and call her over Drogh. Do you not think these people know me? Or that I've kept my past secret from any of them?"

As he continued to poke and prod her, just like he had pretty much every time they met, she finally broke. The last out and punishment he had wanted for so long finally came to the surface of Ra.

"You do know me far better than most, but I have never been as deceptive as you think. These people know me as well. Master DragonsFlame is aware of my past and has been a beacon for me to turn to. Along with Vulps and Star. So yes, maybe I have made up a family and you are a part of it. The worthless cousin or uncle nobody wants to talk about..."

Unless somebody present stopped her, Ra would reach out with the Force and start a strangle hold on Drogh. However, she wasn't going to kill him. Only making a small point.

"I was weak at one time and weaker yet when I was sith. However, with these people...my family, I have found true strength. Unity. Freedom. Life. Get out of my sight, my apprentice. There will come a time when we will be able to talk. Today isn't it."

"You knew his mother?" He inquired. "Did she ever tell any embarassing stories? Something I might never let Vulpesen live down?" The Jedi would joke with a cheeky grin. That was at least an indication that he knew [member="Vulpesen"] well, and was willing to joke with him as though he were an old friend still. Clearly any hard feelings he had harbored toward Vulpesen in the past had become just that - the past. They had passed on with age, as all things eventually do. Though it helped that Josh had become a completely new man from the one that he had once been.

He would take a drink in time to watch as a man, if one could call them a man, clearly and unshamefully steeped in the dark side would approach Ra and begin to antagonize her. The two did not give him a moment to get a word in edgewise, even as the cur would begin to turn his ire on him. The Jedi's smile had faded, replaced with something more blank and cold, but he did not answer just yet. Ra had been open about her once being a Sith. Though the revelation that this man was still her apprentice was something that Josh would need to discuss with her later. She would know why, of course. But it was when Ra would finally snap and lash out in anger, that Josh would, with very quick reflexes, snatch her wrist with a tight grip the moment that she had begun to use the Force to choke her apprentice.

"That is enough, Ra" The Jedi spoke in a cold, stern, commanding tone as brown eyes that had stared into her own many times had begun to show a different side entirely. This was the Jedi Master speaking, not the laid-back man that Ra had come to know. At least, until he would lean in toward her ear and whisper in a way that was just loud enough for her apprentice to hear. "If you're wanting a home away from the castle, I do have a place on Kashyyyk..." He teased in a light flirt. Something to calm Ra down. With that in the bucket though, the Jedi would turn and point a finger right in the face of [member="Drogh"] as the cold expression would return. His fingertips would spark a moment before a white-hot flame would awaken from them, pointing directly at Drogh's head.

"You are causing a disturbance. Leave. Now."

Drogh

Guest
Drogh's face curled up into a grin. It was easy to finally make her snap, to lash out. Her eyes burned with a rage, frustration and anger, her stubborn pride broken, she allowed Drogh the reaction he craved form her. This was a victory to him, of course she started off with meaningless insults, trying to offend the lowest of low, the outcasts of outcasts wasn't the easiest thing to do, as they glanced off him. What ever Ra had to say about him, was probably true anyways. He felt it only for a few seconds, but instead of fear, a strange excitement, and then disappointment, only to be followed by a laugh. Drogh laughed at Ra, how she wasn't allowed to lash out at him. Drogh saw this as clear weakness, some one undermining Ra right in front of him, and he would make this known. "Have you such little respect for my mistress Jedi you would deny her the chance to discipline her own apprentice?" Drogh said, seeking to cause infighting and conflict, but it was clear that the way Ra talked about this one, that he was "close".

The Jedi of course threatened Drogh, some thing he found most amusing. He wasn't certain if he'd strike him, he was counting of the weakness of his philosophy to keep him safe. "Are you going to burn me Jedi, a defenseless sentient who has done little more then speak?" Drogh, with an almost goading tone, truth be told a part of him, a stupid reckless part wanted him to lash out as well, perhaps to see how Ra would react. "But before I go, let me part with this wisdom, Master Jedi, she is a broken thing, much like my self, and also much like my self she is beyond redemption, right now she has merely forgotten who and what she is, but when she remembers, I think the galaxy will burn." Drogh said before nodding in some shallow respect.

"A Dramatic Force-Blessed Myth"
A single ear flicked to the conversation that was being held, and silently Vulpesen watched. He'd been looking for something to entertain himself in this party, but all things pointed to a single man. Drogh. Something in him burned at the sight of this man disrespecting his guest, client, and good friend. Josh was kind enough to leap to her aid for him, stopping her from acting in anger. But there was one more thing that needed to be addressed. He might have insulted Ra's honor. But he did it in The Valde's House. And unlike Master Dragonsflame, Vulpesen had long since abandoned the jedi code of morality.

There was no curesty in Vulpesen's actions. No honeyed words mixed with poison. He was his mother's son, passionate and hungry. But often times, particularly when those he cared about were attacked, the more subtle side tended to fall out the window. Hardly letting the Dark man have the time speak of the inability to redeem someone, Vulpesen lifted a hand and cut him off mid sentence with a torrent of gold lightning aimed at his back. No matter how painful, the force of electric judgement wouldn't be enough to kill the poor man. But it was certainly worthy of catching his attention. "No... this is my house. He doesn't get to leave. Not yet." Glasses halted midclink, somewhere a crimson haired woman let out a giggle, and the music of the band fell into silence as the king of the hall spoke. Along the walls, Guards came to life, hefting their rifles and preparing themselves should things escalate. There wasn't aggression in their stance, at least towards the general crowd. Bt they did keep a dutiful eye on their leader just in case.

"Then it all worked out for the best didn't it? You got the girl, and a shiny new hand that I'm sure can do all sorts of tr-" Garlan stopped as crackles filled the air and his hand flew to his hip. Even as he seemed to sway from the night's drinks, his precision was spot on as he snatched his fennec from the holster and turned to face the danger. Though, as he saw what was happening, he put on a grin that was mixed with a spot of pity. "Someone pissed off the boss."

He kept going, he kept jabbering, he kept taunting, he...

He did exactly what Josh had expected him to do.

Darksiders, especially Sith, were predictable. Drogh would go on, and on, and on... Trying to taunt him, trying to sow the seeds of distrust and rage... But all it got out of him was a smile.

Oh, that smile.

"So, there is something she taught you after all" He spoke softly. "And that's how to play into someone else's hands."

The Jedi's finger would pull back as he would instead stretch out his palm toward his head, as the flames would twist into a large fireball. One that he had been charging since he had pointed at him. He had been counting on Drogh continuing to yap and yap until the cows came home. He wasn't hesitating, nor was he being a pacifist about this. He had been letting the dark side tendency to be fooled into thinking the same stereotypes of the Jedi that they constantly heard were true and always true... All while he continued to charge up the fireball, becoming bigger and more powerful until it was too powerful for him to hide anymore. Which explained why he chose now to reveal it.

Though Vulpesen's interference was not something he had accounted for, and the Jedi frowned. With his free hand, he pointed and sent a tiny jolt the way of the so-called "King", not to harm him, the jolt would do fairly little to someone like Vulpesen. It was an indication for him to stop.

"I was about to loose this on you here and now" He answered truthfully. "But that cheap shot wouldn't make this fair. So you have one chance to walk away unharmed" He spoke calmly, yet firmly. "You can thank Vulpesen for that."

Alexandra Feanor

The Lady in Silver/Grey Historian
Alexandra blinked as she felt the mood shifting in the hall and she sighed, seeing that even this night was not going to go well. Her eyes trailed down to [member="Jairdain"] and she wondered what to do as she let the young woman in her slightly drunk state look at the tree with wonder. The music drifted into the area and Alexandra sighed, trying to figure out something and then seeing a familiar man nearby. She sighed and touched Jairdain on the shoulder and helped her up.

"Hey, come on, we should get you back inside and in a chair... with some water too maybe." She sighed, helping her friend back to the main hall and hoping that she was doing the right thing. She rarely got the chance to do as she wished and she moved to get back into the castle hall.

It was there that Alexandra would help Jairdain back into a chair and letting her rest at a table.

"Hey, ill be back in a bit, I suggest not getting more drinks but... well Im not your mother, just your friend." Alexandra smiled as she looked at her friend and then turned, focusing in on the bit of commotion going on between [member="Josh DragonsFlame"], [member="Vulpesen"], and @Ra'a'mah.

She straightened up and slowly made her way over to the group, smiling and pushing her dress out a little bit, getting rid of what wrinkles she could and sighing as she rubbed her neck. Each step made her feet heavier and her eyes caught Carliah for a moment, making her hesitate in her next step before breathing in and continuing on. Even if one of Vulpesen's Advisors would intercept her, she would just give them of soft look, one that promised she would do nothing before she moved around them.

After Josh had stopped and Vulpesen had interfered would be when Alexandra's hand would find Vulpesen's shoulder, coming up behind him and smiling up at him. Her smile was kind and her eyes turning from him to the others, speaking with a careful and quiet tone.

"Excuse me, I was looking to get a dance in with the Valde. If you all do not mind postponing this little discussion, I would be very thankful." Her eyes turned pleadingly to the Josh and Ra, asking them to leave the discussion for some time after the party.

Decker smiled lightly at that. And even gave a slight laugh after. "Ah, but I am always most respectful. Especially to royalty..." And there was no doubt a few of those in this place. He kept his back straight after having bowed and shook her hand, looking right to [member="Stardust Australis Skirae"]. He took a sip of his own. It tasted luxurious upon his tongue. It felt great.

"The whiskey, eh? Perhaps I should try that after" he gave his glass a little shake, going back to lean on something only to stumble back and catch himself. Perhaps he was drinking too much.

[member="Decker Willo"]

bahahaha! Well your kindness is well noted decker! Truly we need more people like you

She downed the rest of the whiskey and got a little of the ale now as she turned back towards him reaching out subtly with the force so he wouldnt fall back as she smirked and giggled

careful now maybe just another cup for ya dont ya think?

"A Dramatic Force-Blessed Myth"
As Alexandra approached Vulpesen in his small standoff, another would come from the crowd. A man in a pure white suit and a cool demeanor despite the tensions around the room. Every stride seemed to usher out a wave of calm as he made his way over to place a hand on Alex's shoulder. Lucas Gracin, a man that Alex had met before, if onlybrielfy enough to get her a dance with the aforementioned Valde. But this time, he was here to complete a very different task. "I'm afraid, miss Feanor, that this is something that must be handled here and now. Though perhaps I can help you try to get that dance later, if he isn't otherwise occupied. You see, the court is very interested in what happens next." The last sentence was spoken in a hushed whisper, allowing only the woman before him to hear his words.

Drogh

Guest
Drogh felt something hit him, hard and true. A jolt burned down his spine, his entire skin burnt with a pain. He staggered back, almost falling into Ra, how humorous that would of been. But before he could completely loose his footing, he regained his posture some what, turning around. Those piercing golden eyes burned at Drogh, and he couldn't help but smirk. Drogh looked all around him and the crowd had gone deathly quiet, the atmosphere sunk below the surface, and now only a anticipation lingered, with surprise sprinkled on the top. Drogh knew there was no way of him getting out of this now, but what made Drogh almost burst into laughter was the Jedi's reaction. Did he just attack their host? This man who proclaimed him self the only champion of morality and restraint, the one man who was only allowed to pass judgement on Drogh, as his morally inferiors could not be trusted. Despite not moments ago, admitting to actually going to set Drogh alight.

Truth be told, Drogh was tonight's entertainment, and these dogs were merely fighting over who got to play with their food. Then the Jedi had the gall to speak of a "fair fight", Drogh found this most entertaining. "Master Jedi, if you wanted a fair fight you wouldn't have used the force." Drogh said, his snarkiness not evaporating , despite his well being at serious risk. What ever Drogh knew he couldn't say much or even do much, but this wouldn't stop him of course. "How unfortunate it is that Mistress Ra, is not even allowed to discipline her own apprentices without an army of men to come and do it for her, if you had any respect for her, you'd let her have the fun." Because that is what it all was. It was fun, entertainment. They were bored, begging for an excuse and when Drogh presented one, the smallest of provocations the entire party jumped on him, ready to tear away his flesh from the bone.

"A Dramatic Force-Blessed Myth"
As the spark hit Vulpesen, it wouldn't even make it through his coat. But around the room, rifles would be levelled at the master Jedi, only to be lowered with a wave of Vulpesen's free hand which would then clench into a fist, not allowing so much as a third word to leave Drogh's throat as the force clamped down on his windpipe and vocal cords. "Josh, I appreciate your concern. And thank you for the sentiment of trying to prevent me from doing what I'd regret. But this is my home." Returning his attention to the man he was now putting the effort in to choke, Vulpesen spoke calm and evenly. "You've disrespected my house, sir. You are no longer allowed to leave Veradune, but the wine is too sweet and the company too great for me to continue with this. So I will see you in two days. Force or blade, you can decide. But I will have satisfaction. I won't kill you. I'll do something worse. I'm about to help you."

[member="Drogh"]

The tiny jolt hadn't been meant to harm [member="Vulpesen"] at all. It was simply a sign to stop attacking and let him handle it, as he had the situation well under control. Of course, the darksider would keep jabbering on and on. "What a Force user uses against another is usually quite fair, no? If one has the capacity to learn it, there is no issue in it being used against them" He spoke as he would lower the fireball and press it toward the chest of [member="Drogh"] with full intention of launching it. It had been his plan from the start. Everything from charging the fireball while the darksider yapped on, to moving the fireball from his head down to his chest so he did not kill him. Josh had formulated a plan from the very beginning and he was about to see it through. He had completely ignored the rifles. They would lower after he had launched the attack anyway.

But he never had the chance, as he could feel Vulpesen constricting the man's windpipe. Letting out an exasperated sigh, the Jedi Master would listen as Vulpesen would take command and lay out the punishment intended himself. The fireball would disappear into thin air, as the Jedi would lower his hands. "There is no longer any need for me to do anything, regardless" He spoke toward Vulpesen. "What you'll probably do is far worse than what I would have."

Spinning his heel to turn and face Ra, the Jedi would offer his arm. "If you can forgive me for such foul disrespects as he calls it, such as not letting you discipline your apprentice, I'd like to have a dance when the music returns, Miss Ra. If you'll indulge me?"

[member="Riamah"]

Decker Willo smiled upon that comment, his face looked a little odd though as he was feeling drunk. He hadn't realized the touch of the force to hold him up, and held himself up. "M...Maybe just one..." Even though he was on the verge of collapse. He perhaps needed a spot to sit. A chair, or against a wall? Somewhere to keep him off the floor.

[member="Stardust Australis Skirae"]

[member="Decker Willo"]

hah! Better yet let's get you a seat!

She came up and put a arm around him as she started leading him to find a seat, she knew what was going on with ra ans such but she need not act as of the moment . After finding a seat she gently sat him down and then sat down herself

you know I wish I could get drunk I sorta miss the feeling

Ra-

If Josh knew the type of woman Carliah was, then he would guess there were no stories to tell. Ra feared very few people, but that woman was probably on that list. Shaking her head, she turned to Drogh. After taking his abuse for a few moments, when she did reach out to choke him, it only lasted a second or two. Josh stopped her quickly by grabbing her hand even though she had stepped away from him slightly.

It did stop the choke and then things picked up around her that she didn't get a chance to react. Before the exchanges between Drogh, Josh and Vulps though, he threw in a little flirt. And then turned his own attention to her apprentice.

Not stopping him from what he doing, Drogh had brought this down on top of his own head. He had finally pushed her far enough and with her friends around her...Drogh was in trouble. Something he should have thought of before pushing her. However even Josh gave him the opportunity to leave, but he sealed his fate. She actually found it funny when he suggested he was defenseless. He may not be the greatest fighters, but he was far from helpless.

What he said though was rather interesting. Maybe she was broken, but he was far more than she was. However, she doubted he would ever admit to that and she wasn't going to point it out.

Vulps whirled around and sent a bolt of gold lightning at Drogh. It was an odd hue and made Ra blink a little. He also said Drogh didn't get to leave which she found surprising. Her eyes narrowed slightly as it all continued around her. For once things were out of her control.

This was Vulps' home though and she wasn't going to step in his way.

Not trying to catch him when he was hit with the electricity, she smirked slightly when he called Josh out as not playing fair. Like he had any idea what fair was...If she had been allowed her fun as he said, she wouldn't hold back at this point. Ra was finally tired of his insolence and attitude. She was ready to just kill him right now.

Vulps made the decision on the fate of Drogh though and he would answer for the disrespect he had given earlier. She wondered if Drogh would make it through that day. It would be learned when it happened. He just needed to be taken away and the party could resume.

Josh pointed out exactly what she had been thinking and did it far more diplomatically than she would have. When he turned to face her, she wanted to just hug him, but held herself back. Accepting his arm, she nodded.

"I've been wondering if you were ever going to ask."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jairdain-

In her current frame of mind, Jairdain took no notice of the changing emotions in the hall. Not even when Alex had a change in her own. Still very tipsy from the one drink she'd had. Accepting the help of her friend again, she stood up when prompted. Walking on wobbling legs, when another seat was found, Jairdain sat down.

"I don't want water though..."

It probably sounded like a bit of gibberish and not really clear. Even though what Alex suggested was probably best, Jairdain just wanted to escape for a short time. Being left alone, she pulled that drink she had hidden away before out of her pocket and set it on the table in front of her.

Then she just sort of dazed out. Was awake, but in a haze for the first and just sat there.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Seo-

"Mereel, you and I both demons in our past. Sometimes they rear their heads and need to be taken care of. Other times they can remain buried. We both have much to learn about each other still and I have the feeling that will be the case for a long time."

Filing the information he did give her away in her mind though, Seo would be sure to remember to avoid any run ins with a nine foot Dravalan. When he said he wouldn't be the man he was today without that meeting, she made a non-committal humph noise, but that was all.

As they finally entered the hall to the party itself, Seo looked around and made notes of various things. Mainly the red head and she pointed her out to Mereel.

"Didn't we meet her on Arkadia?"

The atmosphere started to change though and body languages indicated there was going to be violence. As a guest, Seo didn't know how to respond. On her own world, if some off worlder got up your nose, you could attack. However, this wasn't her home. Her hand did move to rest close to her saber hilt just in case things got heated and threatened to head their way. It seemed Mereel had the same thought she did.

Looking at Garlan, she raised an eyebrow slightly.

"And which one is the boss?"

Alexandra was stopped by Lucas, who she looked at for a few moments and sighed, looking down as she knew the man was right. Her feet shifted and she looked at Vulps again, handling the situation and her not being able to stand beside him. Part of her wanted to push Lucas to the side, knowing if she wanted to the force would allow her but also that it would look worse if she simply used the force on the advisor to Vulpesen. It twisted her on the inside she could do nothing by sit on the sidelines and just watch this all happen.

Her eyes returned to Lucas though and with a sad nod she stepped back, retreating to a chair and collapsing into it. The Force brought her a drink and she would rest for now, letting things play out as they may, and letting the night move past where they were... this was a terrible idea, who was she kidding herself. She still had Hel in her head making things worse too, pushing on her mind and laughing at how pathetic she looked.

Alexandra just sighed, looking down and waiting for the night to end as she drank down the liquid inside her glass.

Let's be honest here and now. Josh knew that every word that came out of this glorified Sith's mouth was a lie. Trusting darksiders at their word as they clearly tried to manipulate you and others was a fool's decision. Though Ra did not deny him being her apprentice, so that he might speak to her about. He had thought she had left the Sith and the dark side behind, but perhaps that was not entirely the case. He wondered what other secret she was hiding? She had told him a bit about her exit from the Sith as well as how she had ended up with a bounty on her head but it seemed there was still more about Ra for him to uncover.

Vulpesen would be fine with the darksider, he figured as he and Ra would take their leave of them. Josh took a deep breath to compose himself. He didn't feel like inciting violence himself here anyway, though with how large the fireball had gotten, it would have very likely done a great deal to damage to Drogh. Something that was Drogh's own fault considering he had continued to open his trap when told to leave.

With Ra by the arm, Josh would wait for things to settle down and for the music to play, looking toward Ra.

"So, darkside apprentices. Is there something you're not telling me?" He teased with a small smile. But it was a legitimate question.

[member="Riamah"]

"By all means, friend. Go do your thing. I'll be fine here for now, and I'll schmooze later!"

Rann giggled and laid his head on his hand. He would wait a couple minutes and begin a small, embarrassing rampage through the party. He liked to think ahead like that. By this point he had it down to a science. Drunk Rann took over and would not stop until everybody knew who he was.

Sober Rann respectfully disagreed, Drunk Rann didn't care.

Drogh

Drogh was starting to regret insulting Ra so blatantly and utterly, he would of preferred it, no matter how cruel or twisted that her hand be the punishment , it was her rage he craved, not these strangers. The biggest insult was not that he was being choked, or shocked, but because it wasn't from Ra. And there Drogh was, he was forced on his knees, at first the choking was manageable, believing he could endure it, but as the dog spoke to him, the words became clouded and distorted, under the panic and pain of suffocation. It was awful, the force clenched his muscles, as the very will of existence was turned against him, feeling his life slowly ebb, his eyes weeping bitter tears, he began to claw at his neck, desperately trying to breath. Drogh looked down at the ground, the creaking wooden panels, soon he spat out his own bile, the choking becoming sever. He struggled to maintain consciousnesses, feeling his brain die within his own skull, withering away as oxygen ceased to flow. Drogh was terrified for his own life, his face becoming a sickly blue, as he forced him self to stare directly at @Vulpesen. It didn't matter what he was saying, it didn't matter what he had done or who he was. He hated him, he hated him, that fear, mixed with dread, frustration at his hopeless, and his own deep, deep well of anger and spite.

Drogh said something, a broken word, hushed by the tight claws of the force, was it an insult? A beg for mercy? Perhaps a combination of the two. The entire room no longer existed to Drogh, his eyes becoming heavier, his mind weighed down by the lack of air. Drogh couldn't keep up, collapsing on the ground, face first in his own vile putrid vomit, reeking of alcohol evidently. If he was allowed to live, this bitterness would only swell within him, this anger, this hatred would foster something that could not be erased easily, utter and simple minded vengeance.
