"A Dramatic Force-Blessed Myth"
Fear. How she loved it. She bathed in it, drinking in the current of power that [member="Drogh"] was feeding her. Carliah was practically purring with joy as she listened to dark jedi doing his best to recover. He might have even gotten off from it, if he hadn't made one single mistake. Carliah's eyes, burning like golden embers, were unyielding, studying every movement. Every fidget. Every expression. Drogh's gaze towards Vulpesen hadn't gone unnoticed. As he would attempt to step away, Carliah would clench a hand at her side, locking his feet in place through the force. "Words and intentions are like wind. They breeze by without meaning. Actions my dear, are what I care for. My son allowed you a moment to bask in his glory, to share in his achievement. I don't suggest you forget that." As she spoke, she stepped around and draped an arm over Droph's shoulder, moving in close as if she were attempting to seduce him though nothing could be farther from the true. In reality, it was more like a snake encircling its prey, her words being the venom that dripped from her fanged mouth.

Following Ra's gaze to his mother, Vulpesen found himself hiding a smile behind his drink. Drogh was a solemn fellow that he hadn't seen too much of. It suited him to be gloomy and spireful of such festivities. But that didn't mean that it suited the party he had joined. Still, the Valde couldn't help but shudder a bit as his mother prowled around his guest. "I do not envy him..."

Drogh could only expect the worst at this point. This women was frenzied, deranged and had found her excuse to hurt, perhaps even kill. Drogh didn't know what to do, he was shaking subtly from fear, one more hopeless glance at Ra, praying for something. However there was something else rather then fear, utter hatred. He hated his women, he hated [member="Vulpesen"] for unleashing her on him and he hated Ra for not helping him. Did he deserve Ra's help? Of course not, but Drogh still would held her accountable for everything, despite not moments ago trying to pry into her mind for the sake of making her feel uncomfortable. Drogh on top of wanting to run, which he found him self unable to do. Was he paralyzed with fear? No, it was something else, he could feel the very muscles in his body clench and stiffen, as if there were stone. His legs couldn't move, despite him trying, and try he did.

He could feel the slender arms of the Zorren coil around Drogh's shoulder. Drogh had to restrain him self for lashing out, despite being terrified out of his mind, he still hated her. Could Drogh say anything, could he do anything to get him out of this situation? Drogh wanted to say a lot of things, how they deserved to be left in chaos, how there was no glory to be shared with a mutt. Drogh had to think very carefully about what he was going to say, least they be the last things he says. "I am very thankful that I was invited here, it is a true honor to be able to be in the same presence as your son." Son?! Drogh thought. Interesting, very interesting. Drogh didn't dare turn his eyes away from her, he kept his cold eyes locked onto her fiery ones, hoping that he did not die. The entire room was like a black vacuum when one stared into those eyes. It was a storm of fire and blackness, where light died, and yet it seemed as if he was staring into a sun.

Despite his cocky act, Seo's response to Garlan's question caught him off guard. He involuntarily grinned as hints of a faint blush came to his cheeks. The first aid following Carida happened to be the first time she had made him feel.. different than normal, but he didn't fully realize what that feeling was right away. In fact, he only realized what it meant once they got back to his clan's fortress, after she interrupted him choking out his estranged father with the force.

He noticed that Garlan was now swaying his tail behind him, and that the Zorren was taking the piss out of him a little more than the last two times he had seen the man, but he didn't say anything of it yet.

His cheeks fully drained of color as Garlan brought up the grenade incident, "You make it sound like an awful idea, but it was just one grenade. If anything I should've tried it with more - barely managed to scratch that monster."

Mereel began following Garlan to the main hall when gestured, holding out his non-metal hand to hold Seo's as they walked.

All things considered, he counted himself lucky that Garlan hadn't just blurted out that he had blown his arm off in a suicide charge against a dragon man, but what the Zorren had said still left hardly anything to the imagination.

Decker could see many people. A Twi'lek, Zorren. Mostly humans however. He even saw a droid. What a varied bunch they had here. His second-in-command was eyeing people, he could tell. Cause, even though he'd never openly admit it, so was he. Decker thought himself quite a looker, most of the time. Though never a flirt...others tended to disagree. He also saw himself courageous as he started to move, going round to meet people. And he started with the Twi'lek.

"Hope I'm not interrupting anything here...or that you don't mind me interrupting." He glanced to the Twi'lek. "I wouldn't really mind such an interruption."

Yep this was a hand gathering, a mix of people gathered together very different yet with a a goal that United them together. Stardust smiled then a frown formed on her face as her eyes that had seen so much glanced towards the floor. Just how many times did she gather with allies like this for years to pass and then suddenly it was new faces a new flag....her thoughts were broken by a voice as she glanced to the man and gave a smile

oh not at all! Always good to see some new faces! Especially one such as you

Rann shook his head with a smile,

"No, flying isn't my calling. To be honest, I'm not sure what my place is yet. I do know I have been brought here by the Force, which is something I never thought I'd say unironically."
he chuckled slightly.

Truly, Rann did not ever expect to be in the service of a force user, and himself quickly begin to grow as one. His life was changing radically.

"I'm not entirely sure what my future holds. I do know that I am here to serve and will do so to the best of my ability, in whatever capacity that may be."

Rann began to feel the affects of his quick drinking, and put down the empty third glass. He feared he drank too quickly and quickly, yet with as much stability as he could muster, walked to the closest chair and dropped down on it.

"Well it seems I've gone and gotten a wee bit intoxicated. Oh dearie me."

Rann laughed quietly to no one in particular. He began to tire of being polite and well-to-do, and could feel his street rat personality start to creep out.

[member="Edward Thane"]

Edward watched [member="Rann Thress"] flop into a chair, using the opportunity to dust off his pristine uniform. "Ah. Yes, a user of the force," the former ensign echoed, swirling his first glass. "Slow down, drink some water, and take some time. You should get out there and..." His face blanched, as if dreading the thought of doing it himself,"Schmooze."

Peering through the individuals he looked for a target to give his attention, shifting in an uncomfortable manner.

What Garlan said about grenades and brass knuckles certainly caught her interest. He mentioned talking about this over drinks and she looked at Mereel after the Veran started walking off.

Noticing he was almost totally drained of color, Seo wondered really just what was going on. She was not normally very expressive when around new people, but she reached out to Mereel and there was look of worry on her face. His words were sobering and curious.

"What monster? I've known quite a few in my life."

Taking the hand he extended, a squeeze of support came with it.

Decker smirked at the remark back to him. "And normally, people tell me the beard covers too much to be a nice face" he said back to her. "I'm a pilot round here" he added in introduction. Before he could get his own name in, his second-in-command came over. "You already flirting with someone? Didn't take you too long to find someone, hm?" Decker glowered at him for the interruption. And then with a jerk of his head, sent him off. "Excuse his interruption, please."

"Sure as hell got a scratch on yourself. But hey, at least ya got an awesome arm outta it." Garlan nudged Mereel with an elbow as he entered into the main hall and headed straight for the casks of whiskey that lined the wall. Hearing Seo question what they had faced, the Zorren spun on his feel to face her while his hands set about their work of pouring another drink for himself. "Some big cruxi of a sith. I swear, the guy was just eating every grenade I could lob at him, and his cronys were some fast little bastards. Eventually, he managed to get close enough to your boyfriend here. Might have had the brains of a nerf, but I'll give him this, Pansies got the stones of a rancor. Pulled out a det and boom!" Garlan mimicked a punch in the air, his hand clawed as it holding the round form of a thermal detonator. "I heard the boss himself once tangoed with this guy and found himself dancing more than he usually does." Upon mentioning 'The Boss', Garlan took a sip from his drink and flipped a thumb back to indicate Vulpesen who was moving through the crowd to find someone else to speak with.

Hatred and fear. Carliah was drinking it all in like a fine wine, her eyes staring into Drogh's with hoth like coldness while a cruel smile played upon her lips. "Good boy. You're learning." Idly, she started to sway, still wrapped up around the man, almost as if she were dancing to the tune that was playing through the halls. "But while your tongue has learned, your thoughts betray you. There are still things you need to remember." Leaning forward, she whispered in his ear, every syllable somewhere between a purr and a hiss. "You are weak. And our claws are sharp. We have survived death. You fear it." Her fingers crackled lightly with arcs of crimson energy, creeping the lightning down her prey's spine. It wasn't an attack, and while pain was likely, it wasn't overwhelming. It was only a slight, possible unnecessary reminder of her power.

Carliah was having fun with this man. Torturing him and teaching her virtues. She could spend all day like this. Despite this, there was something that caught her attention. Abruptly, Carliah pulled back, her head tilting a bit as if she'd heard a strange noise. "Oh... Sorry dear, but someone's requesting my presence." Once cold and dangerous, the ex-sith now looked like a bubbly school girl as she spun away from Drogh and danced away, leaving just as abruptly as she had come.

Frustration, that was burning though Drogh's skull. The simple fact there was nothing he could do, nothing. He despised being helpless, the fact that his pride and dignity was smashed in front of him, for everyone to see. He caught the few curious stares, some even laced with ounces of pity. Drogh hated this Zorren, his nails digging into the palms of his hands, causing them to bleed slightly. He kept his head down, lamenting for this moment to end, for this Zorren to go away. She mocked him, talking down to him with vile words, getting closer and whispering dark spill at him. Then something stinged down his back, trickling down all across his body, like a sea of razors washing down his back. It hurt, yet he knew she was restraining her self, she was taunting him, mocking him with this slight pain. He could feel his own hands tingle, a slight burn emitting from them, his patience, his fear was running low, as the hate began to overtake. Drogh's better judgement began to fade, as his burning eyes locked onto her. Yet before anything could happen, she was prancing off, hopping off with a giddy walk.

Drogh restrained him self from lashing out, going back to the drink. He pulled of the cog, taking a lush slash of alcohol, feeling it burn down his throat, he wanted to numb his anger, to somehow find relief from this embarrassment and shame. Drogh took another harsh glare at the crowd, he singled out Ra and marched off towards her, he wasn't happy in the slightest. He did this because he wanted some one to shout at, and also in hope that she would keep that scary dog lady from tearing him apart. @Ra'ah'mah [member="Vulpesen"]

"I'm sure we'll get a chance to catch up in time" Josh spoke toward [member="Vulpesen"] before nodding in farewell when he would seem to be distracted by something and wander off. He would look toward Ra again then, Josh would simply smile at Ra's guests for the time being as they would greet her, and when she would speak toward him, he nodded his head. "I think a drink would be good" The Jedi Master would agree calmly, though he would note Ra seemed concerned about one of the men that had entered, and he looked at her a moment with a "look" of sorts.

"Is everything alright, Ra?"

She had offered Drogh no help or support through the exchange he had with Carliah. Even that woman disturbed Ra and while their meetings had always been quite interesting, she wasn't about to stick her neck out and feel her wrath. She highly doubted he would ever understand since he thought of himself far too much. Drogh would need to get himself out of this himself. As she watched, she couldn't help but agree with Vulps.

"He'll be fine."

Soon after Carliah was called away and Drogh ran off to bury himself in drink. That may or may not be a good thing, but they were here to just relax. Turning to Josh after Vulps had wandered off, she nodded.

"Yeah, fireworks almost happened between Vulps' mother and one of my apprentices."

Taking him to where the drinks were, she got her own and handed one to him.

"Thank you for joining. Much more relaxed than the other, I think."

Drogh approached Ra, "Not even a hello?" Drogh said with ear deafening sarcasm, he barely even contained his rage, his frustration, wishing to lash out on something, on anything. "Well if I didn't know any better, I would of said that you didn't want me here." Drogh said, his tone wasn't so much sarcasm as was pent up anger, grinding his teeth together. "Oh a Jedi?" Drogh said, half-guessing from the stench of his force signature that he had sensed. "Well, I'm just waiting on a next massacre if you ask me." Drogh spat out at him, it was long overdue. "That man sent his mother on me, why?" Drogh held his tongue on insulting [member="Vulpesen"], in case that mad thing came over again, but that wouldn't stop him lashing out towards Ra. He knew for a fact that he could test Ra's patience, she didn't want to give into her dark impulses of tearing out his spine, because it would only prove him right in the end. He knew she had her limit, but that would hardly stop him, so to embarrass her in front of her friends and "family", it would be a delight for Drogh.

Even though Josh was present, there would still be a clear shift in the attitude of Ra as Drogh approached. They were all now standing by the drinks and it was quite clear he was going to start pushing her buttons in front of everybody.

"Ah Drogh, the person in my life I've known the longest that is still alive. Do you know why I have never gotten close to you or showed that I give a damn? It's because every time I do, the person dies. Take that however you want to."

He then assaulted Josh, but Ra assumed he would take care of himself when he could get a word in between Ra and her apprentice.

She gave him a humorless smile and her eyes had a bit of a twinkle to them as she continued on.

"This castle is as much her home as it is his. You think Vulps cares enough to set his mother on you? You are just as delusional as you are mad. She probably felt drawn to you since you are the most like her out of everybody here. I can't imagine a better pair. Sadly she is already married or I would attempt to hook the two of you up. Two nut jobs in one boat."

Taking a sip of her drink in her hand, she fell silent a moment or two looking at Drogh. If he thought he was going to get her lash out in front of everybody he was mistaken. That did not mean she couldn't tell him what she thought.

"Now I suggest you go find the nearest pile...never mind. You just go do you and watch out for the man eating trees."

[member="Drogh"]

"A queen" he said, as he made a bow. His tone full of respect. "An honor, it is. Name's Decker, Decker Willo. Ex-Galactic Alliance pilot, leader of Mynock Squadron." He put a hand out to shake, as a way of greeting...professionally. Afterwards he would pull his hand away, and then take a sip from his glass in his other hand. It was a good drink, he enjoyed it quite a bit. The taste, the feeling. Decker lowered his drinking hand. "Correllian Ale. Good stuff."

"You lie though your teeth Ra." Drogh said, even she must have known how hollow those words were, when she called a non-human her "sister". "Perhaps we should get the slug over here so you can say that." Drogh knew Ra well, she had revealed much to him, and yet he also revealed much to her. "All I see is a lonely little girl that never got to play family, so now you're making up ones." Drogh said, his tone bitter and cold, laced with malice and sick enjoyment. How sad and ironic that Ra had known Drogh for the longest, that this spiteful, despicable, grotesque human being was the one of the few people that knew her so well. "Oh?" Drogh said, smiling his arrogant smile. "Or was it because she felt me probing, sensing everyone, did you feel me Ra, did you feel me breaking down the doors of your fragile little mind?"

Then Ra dismissed her, but Drogh wasn't that easily displaced, he wanted to hurt her, to get some response, no matter how meager or small. "You forgot Ra that I know you far better then most, I saw you when you were but a small thing, so weak, and I saw you when you were a true monster, drowning in the darkness." "Oh, did you tell the lovely Jedi that?"
