SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Designed around three linked Karn cognitive modules, the TRAXOS has greater control over its systems and is able to delegate different functions and routines to the appropriate module. This link allows each cognitive module to focus on specific areas, but also allows each module to learn the tasks of its linked brethren as additional levels of redundancy if one portion of the network is knocked out.
  • Equipped with a plethora of the latest Aurora Industries weaponry, the TRAXOS can function in a variety of roles due to the weapon systems' versatility and damage output. With an Ixion mass driver, Ifrit turbolasers, Valefor laser cannons, and Izolda mortars, the TRAXOS can unleash devastating energy and kinetic attacks.
  • Each TRAXOS is equipped with an extensive sensor and scanner suite, along with enhanced photoreceptors and composite radiation sensors, that allow it to have extensive knowledge of its surroundings at all times.
  • The TRAXOS has an integrated recharge and storage compartment for six LORAN Recon Support drones to assist it during operations with long-range reconnaissance.
STRENGTHS
  • Three-tired system of defense provides a very high defense against energy and kinetic weaponry, centered on the properties of the hijarna stone to absorb energy attacks such as lasers, turbolasers, ion blasts, and other energy weaponry along with the duralloy components and its continued strengths as starship-grade armor. The inclusion of a deflector shield sandwiched between the first and third tier of the system increases this ability while providing limited emergency shielding for the ship in case its main shielding system goes down.
  • The Kirin Shield system makes use of three different types of shielding; molecular, ray, and particle in a four-layered system that provides overlapping fields of defense from enemy fire.
  • With three linked Karn Cognitive Modules directing the droid's systems, the TRAXOS can operate with extreme efficiency and learn through its heuristic processors. This also gives the droid enhanced redundancy and processing power for its core systems.
  • The TRAXOS is equipped with a variety of powerful weaponry due to its integrated Ixion mass driver, two Ifrit turbolasers, Valefor laser cannons, and Izolda mortar systems that allows it to output an absurd amount of damage on the battlefield against enemy infantry, vehicles, and fortifications.
WEAKNESSES
  • Due to utilizing the Titan-type armor plating, while very effective against conventional weapons, the armor can be severely damaged by corrosive weapons due to the hijarna stone component, and is weak to sonic and disruptor weaponry. Additionally, cold and cryogenic weaponry such as CryoBan or carbonite will weaken the armor plating and make it more susceptible to damage.
  • While the shield emitters of the system are scattered across the droid's armor plating to avoid one large target for an enemy to concentrate on, it does mean that if sections of the droid are damaged and the emitters go with them, it can create gaps in the shielding and provide an enemy with an unprotected target until shields can be redistributed.
  • While the modules are designed, when linked, to be multiple layers of redundancy if one goes down, there is always the chance that a particularly strong energy surge such as from a very powerful Ion weapon or other source could travel across the entire network and short out or destroy all the linked modules.
  • If the preservation field capsule fails or the device is sabotaged within the Ramuh-II cores, the crystal within sublimates immediately into its plasma state, reducing the power output of the device by roughly half until a new crystal capsule is installed. This reduces the rate of fire and damage output from the TRAXOS' weapon systems by one stage and weakens its shielding systems.
DESCRIPTION

Developed as part of Aurora Industries' URZA Initiative, the AI-D195 TRAXOS Tank Droid is a massive upgrade to the venerable Behemoth Tank Droid the company developed back in the 850s. While it had been expected that the company would update and upgrade its battle droids, and many of those new designs were in various stages of development, the TRAXOS finished its development first for testing at the company's Borealis Complex on Saleucami.

Designed off a brand new chassis, being slightly larger than the original, the TRAXOS has been equipped with some of the latest weaponry and defensive systems developed by Aurora. The primary weapon system of the droid is an Ixion mass driver cannon installed into the turret of the droid, along with two Ifrit turbolasers. Four Valefor laser cannons are installed into the main body of the droid as anti-personnel repeating cannons, with two of the new Izolda mortars also integrated into the turret as a five-tube mortar launcher. For its defensive systems, the droid was equipped with Titan-type Advanced Plating and a Kirin Shielding system, along with two Leviathan point defense emplacements to protect it from enemy projectiles and aerial units. The droid was also installed with ion buffers to further mitigate ion attacks.

All of these systems are powered by four linked Ramuh-II power cores, with their systems directed by three linked AD270 "Karn" Cognitive Modules that operate different portions of the droid in cooperation with each other. These cognitive modules also have access to an extensive sensor and scanner suite to allow them to have a constant stream of information on their environment. The TRAXOS also comes equipped with storage and recharge dock for six LORAN Recon Support drones to give it and attached units deployable long-range probes.
