A Common Cause for Celebration

"It is for the sake of my friends that caution is present in this meeting, to one whom suggests himself their Enemy", it wasn't simply his Wife that Veiere was thinking of. There were many lives within the Grand Hall, the Throne Room vast and filled with peoples from many a walk of life, none of them that Veiere would wish to see come to any harm; "Insulting our Guests does little to set my mind at ease, I'm afraid" he added plainly, not afraid to speak his own mind as [member="Tathra Khaeus"] did.

"I must admit however, I am curious as to why you've come here?" Veiere soon questioned the Draelvasier; and not without further context, "Aside from indulging your curiosity, as you put it. For what purpose, I must ask". Frankly, there were few opponents that Veiere had met whom had actually taken the time to try to get to know their people, before bringing the fight. Perhaps if more took the time to communicate and learn from one another, many wars of the past could have been avoided.

In this one however, Veiere sensed a great deal of aggression; It was almost as though Tathra had a thirst for violence, a certain nature that would not likely be tamed. The Force guided his mind, though he too would be a hypocrite if he did not offer the other a chance to commit to anything less.

There was a sudden burst of fanfare amongst the throne room, as mobs of guests in attendance hurried to the entrance of the throne room to see who the next big arrival might be. That was made swiftly evident as the royal orchestra suddenly began to play some very fitting Imperial fanfare. Baron Morcus himself strode into the throne room, to booming applause from the grateful nobles and guests in attendance. He was garbed in a white Imperial officer uniform adorned with golden trimmings and medals. He was followed by a large cabal of Imperial moffs, admirals and other officials, escorted by a squad of Imperial Stormtroopers, their armour and blasters polished to perfection.

The Baron took the time to politely greet and shake the hands of all who'd gathered to meet him, before making his way over to the King and Queen of Commenor. He politely bowed, as did his cabal of officials, before he spoke. "My king. My queen. Congratulations are in order for our glorious victory against the Sith Empire. We are proud to have fought for Commenor in such a trying time.", he said with smile, speaking courteously. "I am pleased to report my engineers aiding in the reconstruction efforts have been largely met with success, though, Mundo City is sadly beyond salvaging. It may need to be rebuilt entirely.

The little wolf in her arms was a way for Jairdain to see. It still did not allow her physical eyes to focus. She really did try though. Sage watched as the girl's hand moved to play with her own hair and that almost brought a small smile to Jairdain's face. Nodding when Daiya said she had come with Loreena, she knew who the daughter of Kay was.

Sage was an Ashlan Wolf, not a puppy. However as Daiya's hand approached, he came a little more out of hiding and adjusted his position to allow her to pet him.

"No, he is actually a small wolf and this is as large as he gets. His name is Sage."

His fur was soft like velvet and a light green on color that darkened on his tail which was fluffy and full like a fox's would be. Sage was the kind of Ashlan that was easy going and pretty docile. Matching almost perfectly his bondmate.

It wasn't often that the Jedi got to let her hair down as it were and dress up, the truth was that the Jedi sent her hurrying from one corner of hte galaxy to another. Armour, combat outfits, jump suits, these were the standard apparel of Asaraa's life. The chance to actually pull one of her few dresses out of what felt like deep storage was amazing, something better than she'd have ever dreamt the nightmare of hte Commenori Occupation would have ended as. In fact the whole episode was something like a dream, she wasn't quite sure it had been real but...ouch yeah, the pinch hse gave herself thorugh the soft fabric of her dress hurt so it couldn't be fake.

The party, when she did arrive, seemed to be in full swing, an orchestra playing and the guests talking. And how many guests, ot liiked like a sea of people had descended on the palace, an unending sea of bodys that swayed back and forth, swirling around one another as groups clumped together and flowed apart as if some kinda unknowable dance had taken over the entire hall. It was more than a little overwhelming to be honest, and the girl made ap oint of keeping to the edges of the hall, slowly weaving through the thinner crowd as she glanced over at the hall. Here and there in the crowd Asaraa could spot some familiar faces, her fellow Silver Jedi [member="Drystan Marakos"] talking to king [member="Veiere Arenais"], Her friend [member="Jairdain"] talking to someone she didn't know, even the Mandalorian [member="Kaine Australis"], for a moment the girl tensed up before she let out a breath. It wasn't like he was an enemy this time, they were all here for the same celebration and to give the man his due he'd played a huge part in the assualt on the palace while she and [member="Caedyn Arenais"] hadn't managed to get there until it was too late. Speaking off, Asaraa's eyes narrowed as she peered intently into the crowd, he must be somewhere around here afterall, and a friendly presence in the middle of the sea of strangers would be sometihng that she could really go for right now.

Location: Palace Throne Room
[member="Silfe Sosuri"]
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The throne room had become quite the gathering place - brimming at the seams with beings who'd stood side on either side of the defining line between Commenor's liberation & its' suppression. Drystan could feel that a few of her companions had arrived; [member="Rick Kaloo"] & [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] were nearby, and engaging themselves in the festivities. In her own way, Drystan felt content spending a few moments with the lovely Commenori woman she'd helped to survive the terrible battle. Silfe's graceful presence was quite calming, and the woman's sudden joyful expression incited a pleasant laugh from the Jedi Master.

"You're too kind..." Her lips curled back in a pleasant grin, hazel eyes shimmering with amusement at the woman's genuine pleasure. "I am, indeed. While I might have arrived toward the end of the battle, I thank The Force I came when I did. Seeing this place on its' way to being repaired, and seeing you up and walking, is worth any price."

Suddenly, there was a great rumble of movement & sound from the main entry into the ballroom - Drystan turned, her attention drawn & her attitude changing for a heartbeat's span of time - belying an underlying current of readiness as she took on, for only a second, a ready stance... then relaxed, as she recognized the arrival of [member="Baron Morcus"] & his Imperial Forces. The man certainly enjoyed making an entrance... and she was close enough to catch some of his greeting to Veiere & [member="Lady Kay"]. Drystan had shifted somewhat closer to Silfe, offering the woman a smirk as the Sentinel's demeanor relaxed.

"Excuse me... but, maybe you can help me... I'm still in my working clothes, and I'd like to change. Is there somewhere I could do that?" She asked. The canvas bag she'd entered the throne room with remained slung across her shoulder, and the Jedi's cloak & simple clothing did little to accentuate her athletic curves.

As more folk came in it was pretty hard to stay aloft at the bar, after all not a few folk were looking to have some fun. Those brave enough to join the Zabrak would be amazed how civil he was, eager to hear their stories and their contributions to the war effort, while downplaying the significance of the role that The Red Ravens played to more of supportive one than anything else.

More importantly, he was looking for business contacts interested in raw materials from the Outer Rim or those sellling finished prime or even luxury goods from the Core. After all business never slept and Daxton was always willing to make a deal with any interested parties.

Tathra relaxed as his head dipped, almost reclining upon himself in relaxation as the King spoke of worry for those gathered.

"Friends. I wonder how much that friendship is worth to them." Tathra moved slightly taking a drink from a passing servant. His eyes followed the lengths of her garb as it trailed behind her, such jovial wear for those so vulnerable still. No doubt those here who wore such feeble protection were no doubt forced to do so. Either by the subtle rule of the Commenori and their passive lordship or by simple social pressure. All so equally weak by their own choice for the sake of appearance. How churlish.

"I'm not your enemy- Tathra responded with a flippant bluntness as he sipped the Commenori wine, his muscled jaw tensing slightly. -Nor are you mine. That would imply Commenor poses some kind of threat." Tathra finished the comparatively small beverage, setting the glass down gently on the side of the Kings throne. Tathra was bemused by the Kings remark. Was it an insult to speak plainly. Once more the Commenori would abhor the truth of the fidelity of their gracious friends. He lowered his head, the hide of his cheekbones rising slightly into a curl as the edges of his mouth made a small curve into a rather restricted grin. However the pleasure was momentary as his eyes shifted back to the King. Once more flippant and plain as he asked regarding the Chieftains intentions.

"It is no insult to call them what they are- Even though Tathra took joy in the knowledge the human perceived the truth as a personal insult to those he cared for, he did not share those views. Though he had no intention of not insulting the people of Commenor. -It is no insult anymore than calling you a Monarch or myself Chieftain." Tathra's head shifted slightly as one of the servants slid past him, picking up his glass and sliding by - curled in upon themselves to go by unnoticed. "My curiosity is the only purpose I need. As Chieftain I have that right."

Tathra explained as he stepped back half a pace, resting his wrist against the edge of the very top of the Kings Throne, reclining against it. He would see how far he could push the Monarch. "There was a good battle. I'm here to see if more will come. But it seems as though the fighting spirit of Commenor is but a faint whimper." Tathra spoke as he reviewed the area with his eyes as almost a gesture of his ability to observe. Eyes moving back to the King to watch his face.

"However I can be quick to judge."

[member="Tathra Khaeus"] was gradually pushing his luck, though with Commenor back under the leadership and governance of he and his Wife, Veiere's restraint had returned over the passing weeks. Having spent the majority of his life within the Jedi Order, not just as a Student but a Mentor and Teacher of their ideals, despite his mistakes, Veiere's understanding and practices had not waned since his faith in the light had been restored, strengthened by his frankly unbelievable escape from the Dark Lord of the Sith Empire.

"However I can be quick to judge" Tathra concluded, leaving Veiere to smile curiously. "Everyone makes mistakes, from time to time" the King offered his response followed by a quiet chuckle under his breath; The day was one for celebration and his mood was fortunately high. The Draelvasier had brought something of a sobering presence, yet the King's composure would not yet be broken. "I'm afraid I'm not familiar with your People, but as you are Chieftain to yours, I am King to mine and regardless of what that may be worth to them, it's a King's duty to do all that he is able, to ensure their protection and security. There are some in the Galaxy that would disagree of course, but this is Commenor...-And I regard my people with great pride".

As far as the subject of the War was concerned, and the prospect of further conflict to occur upon their Home-World, Veiere shook his head as the other had almost spoken as though he hoped there would be further fighting to come; "If there is further violence to be had here, it will be not be by our design, yet justice will swiftly follow". Veiere turned to cast his eyes upon the rest of the crowded hall, able to sense his family's presence and many of his friends that he had made over the years since he and [member="Lady Kay"] had arrived in the declining, former Republic.

"You strike me as someone who is thrilled by the notion of War" Veiere soon turned back to glance to Tathra, voicing his own perception of the individual. Opinion's were everyone's right, but whether or not they were always correct was another story entirely. They could both do their best to assume the Character of others, yet they did not know each other, and the Draelvasier seemed to differ significantly to the King's outlook on life, especially that of Commenor.

"I am a man who cherishes life, and will fight if I must for the freedom and liberty that my people deserve. Should you or any other disagree with our ways, that is a part of life in the Galaxy I'm afraid...-But here on this World, the People hope to live out a peaceful, morale life. Our fighting spirit only show's itself when others seek to take that away from us".

Kay spotted [member="Daxton Bane"] milling about the crowds. He seemed to be quite content with mingling. More than likely he was pursuing contracts and furthering the growth of his business. All that was good. That is of course what Commenor was built upon.

Her eyes followed both her husband [member="Veiere Arenais"] and [member="Tathra Khaeus"] as they spoke with one another. It was a breath of relief to see the polite exchange of conversation between them, even despite the fact that they were on opposing sides. Perhaps there is hope yet that the reputation that Commenor had would soon return.

The fanfare that proceeded the arrival of [member="Baron Morcus"] had caught her attention next. Kay turned to watch as a whole entourage followed the Baron in his crisp, white uniform. As he approached she bowed her head to him, her hands clasped in front of her. "Thank you for coming and for your continued efforts on our behalf. We'll have much to discuss very shortly. Please stick close for I'll be calling upon you soon, as well as on some others." [member="Triana Piett"] caught her attention next. A brow was raised as her motions seemed a little...unnatural. More than likely she'd discover who the woman was later.

The time was drawing near as she'd rather get it done and over with quickly. Yet the thrones area were occupied by the King and his guest. She chewed the inside of her cheek for a moment before she separated herself from the rest and made her way over to the thrones. She cleared her throat a bit before speaking. "I am so sorry to interrupt, but we've got a little business to tend to right here. It should only take but a few minutes and then afterwards you both can continue your conversation." Once the rewards were handed out to the heroes of Commenor, people would be free to socialize at their own pace.

Lori grinned as [member="Caedyn Arenais"] found her and wrapped her arms around him tightly while he hugged her. Oh how she missed him! She laughed as he commented on her dress, which she of course did a slow twirl to show it off. "I picked it out myself. Do you like it? I had a friend at the University light it up for me. Isn't it great? And no...it's not because of Dad." She stuck her tongue out, knowing full well of what he was referring to.

She took a peek around, spotting [member="Lady Kay"] and then [member="Veiere Arenais"] with [member="Tathra Khaeus"] . Lori just froze for a moment, recognizing the big brute not from the liberation efforts, but from months earlier. She had come across him before. So what was he doing here? And why was he with her Dad? There wasn't a lot of tension in the air, so maybe everything was going to be okay.

"Mom arranged this whole thing. We deserve a party, don't we?...." She turned her attention back to her brother. "Did you hear the news? I have my own ship and crew! And we go on missions and everything. It's pretty wicked. What have you been up to? I missed you! You should come with me on an adventure some time." And her sentences just rambled on and on as they usually did when she was excited or uncomfortable. Right now she was both.

She watched [member="Baron Morcus"] make his grand entrance. He was yet another person of whom she had little knowledge, but served [member="Lady Kay"] in some way. It seemed that [member="Lady Kay"] had quite the contingent of allies now that Silfe had never met. Perhaps in time, she would come to know them all and they would know her. Still, in all of Kay's events like this, Silfe had never seen someone enter quite so grandly.

She returned her attention to [member="Drystan Marakos"] who had come to stand closer to her as the Baron had made his entrance. She listened to the request and nodded. "Of course. There is a coat check through that entrance there. Just beyond and to the right is a ladies powder room. It is a rather lovely space to get ready in with couches and full length mirrors. I can't wait to see what you decide to wear." Silfe said with a smile.

After Drystan left her to change, Silfe walked over to where [member="Jairdain"] was with a curious young thing. Granted, Silfe was technically quite young as well. She smiled at Jairdain. "Am I ever glad to see a familiar face. There are so many people here I don't know, I feel quite out of my league." It was then that she spotted the animal. The look on her face was one of great puzzlement and surprise. "Seems odd that you would bring a ... is that a wolf? You brought a wolf to the ball?"

[member="Loreena Arenais"] [member="Caedyn Arenais"] [member="Kaine Australis"] [member="Daiya"]

"Hi Sage," Daiya cooed to the miniature wolf in [member="Jairdain"]'s arms. Her hand connected with the top of the lupine's head, and it confirmed all of her hopes for the softness of the creature's fur. She could not help but stroke it repeatedly, the soft bristles of fur tickling the underside of her fingers and palm, eliciting a soft giggle from the girl's mouth. The wolf had a disarming magic to him, and the more Daiya pet him, the less she seemed to worry about the problems she faced.

She lost her worry about being here without Tawrro's protection, whose constant presence had been a comfort even through recent times on [member="Loreena Arenais"]' ship. She wasn't even worried about being separated from Lori at the moment, her captain and newfound friend was only half a ballroom away, in any case. And the girl definitely was not worried anymore about her dress' limited options for modesty or self-defense equipment. The cares just melted away with the velvety softness of Sage's fur.

"Can I hold him?" The girl asked at once, looking up into the woman's strangely unfocused eyes once more. The eyes she felt reconsider her came instead from under her palm, and she looked down to see the wolf's eyes gazing into hers. Daiya was about to remark on the oddity, when another woman approached the pair —trio?— and spoke.

"He's a friendly wolf, though!" She remarked to [member="Silfe Sosuri"], realizing after a moment just how girlish she was sounding. But the young teen didn't care, just as she had lost her cares about the even more pressing problems from before. The soft fur of the Ashlan Wolf was more than enough to take care of that, and if it could soothe the worries of a teenaged girl, it must be a powerful creature indeed.

Tathra listened as the Monarch spoke, the small man clearly was pushing his positivity to the forefront of his persona. The titan was not subtle, clearly pressing on the Monarch to test his mettle. The Chieftain remained unmoving, relaxed as he easily relaxed into his disrespect of the Commenori.

Tathra half-scoffed, the Kings view of responsibility to his own were greatly opposed to his own. Tathra believed them to be childish and ignorant of reality, of a reality born of true strength and a intellectualism born of knowledge of the true hardships of the Galaxy. "Security and Protection are something one must earn, not something owed to those who cannot contribute. At least, not amongst my own. I understand not all species are quiet so, streamlined." Pride. Pride born of a responsibility to those weaker than yourself.

What kind of leader would the Commenori be when they allowed enemies amongst their vulnerable people - what kind of half-measures did they implement with such fragile spines. It was the Draelvasier belief that, all should serve a purpose. A leader is only as great as his lowest subject. To his mind, the lowest of the Commenori only exacerbated his belief that they were entirely feeble.

"None are owed life. All must carve out a piece of the Galaxy for themselves. And violence may not be by your designs but inaction is equal to an action. Violence comes as the Universe wills it. Of who's design? It does not matter. Only the victor, made stronger is of relevance." Tathra did not expect the Monarch to have the stomach for such a reality. It was something only few of those with the strongest wills could ascertain, and commit to.

Tathra's head reclined backward a few inches as his eyes glared down on the King, bemused by his supposed thoughts on Tathra himself. There was a thrill to war - to killing. None could deny that, the pleasure centres in the brain respond when you prove yourself superior to another. It was something primal, ingrained in the Universe. There was a truth to it. The King Cherished life, or so he thought he did.

Tathra slowed his movements, his arm sliding down from the Throne - his expression of stoic disappointment as he listened with acute frustration as the Monarch spoke. "You cherish a lie. I cherish what life truly is. Simply put, not dying. I am thrilled by the notion of survival, of existence. War, is a part of existence. An integral part- Tathra stopped for a moment, his hard skeletal lips parted for a moment as his eyes became momentarily absent in their concentration as he articulated his thoughts. -A Morale life, what good is any kind of life when spent only furthering the futility and weakness of your species. Sometimes, its best to cull the dead weight. It makes you weak."

Tathra straightened upright, moving half a pace closer to the Monarch - his head now tilted downward to observe the Kings response. "My Bryn'adûl. Many of them died, a cost I'm willing to accept. But my Brutes came this close to killing your Queen. She was weak, trembling in that Gunship as my Brutes drew close - ready to tear her skin from her vulnerable flesh. Yet - you stand, chuckling. You stand, with such a crude pleasantry. You insult yourself, King."

Sensing the approach of Silfe, Jairdain turned her body slightly so she had room to join them. Giving her friend and sort of pupil a smile, she would offer to give her a hug if she wanted one.

"He's my eyes now, Silfe. Through him I can see the world. There is so much I have to learn. Colors, reading, shapes..."

Her skin changed in color as she blushed slightly at how easily she admitted how ignorant she was when it came to everyday things people with sight took for granted. Everything was new to the blind woman.

"Silfe, this is Sage. You can hold him if he wants you to...Oh I am so sorry, my name is Jairdain Ismet. I never introduced myself and instead only Sage."

That little blush grew deeper, but she held her hand out that contained Sage. He took a step off, onto the teen's hand and curled up slightly. He was still pretty small and not fully grown yet. Sniffing, his little whiskers might tickle her palm slightly.

Trained by the Jedi or not, Veiere was much a like any other person when it came to someone imposing themselves upon him, in threat or insult of all that he cared for. [member="Tathra Khaeus"] stepped in closer to the King, though Veiere did not step away, he did not fear the Draelvasier. His head lifted that he could keep his eyes locked upon the larger being. It was clear that their views were well and truly opposite of one another, though he did not care for the insults nor the attempt to try and intimidate another the way Tathra seemed eager to attempt.

"I have much to be gladdened for" Veiere replied, though his voice had firmed some in response to the Draelvasier's methods. "I stand, surrounded by friends and family. Such things that come with a life that offers others respect and compassion, companionship and integrity. Things that I'm left to presume, escape you". Their Guest seemed intent to find a way to dampen the spirits of the celebrations, yet Veiere was more than content to deal with Tathra himself, that others might continue to enjoy themselves and talk amongst their peers. He was a man that did not mind taking the hard road, that others might not have to. It was who Veiere was, the very nature that was nurtured and encouraged in all young Jedi throughout their training and it was a part of the King of Commenor that had never been lost, despite the trouble that had come their way even lately.

"As far as insults go, you are mistaken" Veiere forced a brief smile in the face of the Draelvasier's arrogance, "For I have no need to prove myself to anyone. I do not seek to look down upon those around me, nor do I feel the need to rise above them. Regardless of where you're from or who you may be, anyone in this Galaxy can muscle in on those who may be weaker physically or mentally, but true strength comes from the heart and from the mind. Living for yourself is taking the easy route in life, for you care not about others and only of yourself..." It was certainly not Veiere's approach to life. If he had the opportunity and his help was accepted, he would happily step forward in the want to make another life easier, to protect or serve in some way that the Galaxy not appear nearly so dark and chaotic as the likes of the Sith forced upon others.

"I choose to stand with others, against anyone who would seek to oppress those who do not deserve such hostility. My pride is my compassion, do not however take my restraint for complacency", the Force was his ally and it was an immensely powerful one. He may not be considered a Jedi any more, yet he had not lost sight of his training nor fallen shy of his ability to call upon it in times of necessity. "Commenor is mine. These people are mine. All that resides upon the world you stand on is mine and I will always rise to fight and protect it, because it is they whom I draw my strength from".

"As for today, this is a time for celebration. If you have nothing further to contribute in support of our people, I can have someone show you the door".

Kay clenched her jaw a little. So deep in their own converation, both [member="Veiere Arenais"] and [member="Tathra Khaeus"] had failed to notice her standing before them and had failed to hear her words to them. It was as though she wasn't there.

Hmmm...

No matter. She would just take care of business in a different manner.

Kay turned from them and stepped down to the table of boxes near the thrones. Cupping one of her arms, she began to pile the boxes onto it, being mindful not to drop any of them. Once they were all gathered, she started making her way to different individuals beginning with [member="Silfe Sosuri"] and [member="Jairdain"] . How fortunate that the two were near eachother.

Taking the top box with her free hand, Kay handed it to Silfe. "In thanks for your efforts during the liberation of Commenor, the King and I give you this medal in recognition and also grant you the title of Lady Sosuri, which gives you governship over one of our countries. Congratulations." She gave her a small smile and bow of her head.

Kay turned to Jairdain next. "The King and I are granting our grandson [member="Marcus Ismet-Ku"] the title of Lord and the governship of Juniper. Given that he is far too young to rule and you are his loving mother, you shall be his regent and rule in his stead until he has come of age. Congratulations." She smiled and bowed her head to her before stepping away.

[member="Baron Morcus"] was next. Kay approached him and handed him one of the boxes that contained the medal. "In thanks for your efforts in the liberation of Commenor, the King and I give you this medal in recognition and also grant you the title of Lord Morcus, which gives you governship of one of our countries. Congratulations." And as she had done so before, she smiled and bowed her head before moving on to the next.

And that one happened to be [member="Rick Kaloo"] . Kay approached him, noticing the almost haunted look in his eyes indicating that he was still experiencing some shell shock. She picked up the top box and held it out to him. "In recognition of your efforts in the liberation of Commenor, as well as your efforts to save my life, the King and I give you this medal and grant you the title of Hero of Commenor. Congratulations and thank you." She bowed her head with a small smile and then turned to look about the room for a moment in search of the next recipient.

"Was that the same one you were flying when we freed Commenor?".
Caedyn had heard that his Twin Sister had played a part in the battle over-head, yet he hadn't been aboard the Resolute to witness it. From all that he had heard through rumors and the stories of others, [member="Loreena Arenais"] had done really well though, people seemed to be really impressed given her age compared to other pilots that usually found their peak in the mid to late twenties. "Are you still hanging out with the Mandalorian's and stuff?" He soon questioned further, assuming they were the one's that had helped to teach and supply the craft as well as the crew. It wasn't a question he made out of any assumption that she couldn't do it all on her own, but more the fact that he hadn't been around to know any better.

As for himself, Caedyn had done some traveling. He'd gone out to meet the Silver Jedi Order, wanting to spend some time there and get to know a little bit more about them. They'd proven to be really well set up, they'd been welcoming too despite their views differing some from the Je'daii; they hadn't held this against him however and with Asaraa living with them, he had been able to spend more time with her there before the day they returned to liberate Commenor. Asha Hex had disappeared again, though this time he wasn't quite as concerned as the last. She'd returned safe and sound, and then decidedly taken off again. He was older these days and through trial and error had discovered that he didn't need the same level of guidance that he had as a young boy. He still missed her company of course, though she was her own Woman and he had held her back long enough thanks to her agreement to train him.

The Force seemed to call to him, his eyes shifting away from his Sister, as though he could physically see the waves of power rolling over the area in reaction to his Father and [member="Tathra Khaeus"]. Moving to turn his attention in the direction of the two larger powers, he could feel the tension growing between them. For a moment he doubted whether his father would be able to keep himself from overreacting, yet it seemed that Veiere had found his center once more. Some time ago, Caedyn would have been afraid that his father might have struck the larger figure; the dark-side had painted his father in a very different light, back then.

Out of the corner of his eye however, he noticed movement that seemed to call to his attention even against the quiet aggression of the pair. Glancing towards it, [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] appeared among the crowded room and immediately encouraged the corner of Caedyn's lips to curl into a half smile, waving her forward to join him and his sister, Loreena. "By the way Lori, I dunno if you've met Asaraa yet but..." He looked back and fourth between them with something of an awkward smirk, naturally proud to be introducing them, given their connection and relationship to himself. "Well...Yeah" He chuckled quietly under his breath.

Their Mom soon moved to call upon the eyes and ears of the room, moving to personally deliver gifts to each of the people who had been there during the battle to retake Commenor. [member="Lady Kay"] didn't exactly look pleased about it initially, suggesting their Dad was going to be in trouble later.

The pink-haired girl smiled, the clicking of her shoes against the floor cutting a sharp staccato against the music that swelled through the room as she crossed from her location hidden safely by the wall to join the twins closer to the centre of the room. She missed most of Caedyn's speech, arriving just in time to catch the tail end of his introduction as she slipped an arm around his waist, nodding at Lori as a light of amusement danced through her eyes. "I'm his 'Well...Yeah'" the girl introduced herself, nodding her head at Lori is greeting before flashing a teasing grin at Caedyn. She'd never admit it aloud, least of all to him but finding the boy was part of the reason she'd come to the party in the first place. It was nice to see people who had helped out in the rebellion being rewarded but she'd be lying if she didn't admit she had ulterior motives as well. Leaning over to peck him on the cheek the girl released her hapless victim, she probably shouldn't tease him too much in front of his sister after all.

The famous Loreena, a pair of blue eyes examined the other girl for a moment before she reached out a hand, a smile spreading across her face. "Asaraa, I'm the one who's planning the operation to rescue a VIP next time," she introduced herself before giving her boyfriend a teasing grin for a moment. So ok, maybe she wasn't entirely done with teasing him just yet, but this was the last time....maybe.

Silfe was enchanted by the sweet wolf and merely nodded her acceptance of his new role in [member="Jairdain"]'s life. She had heard of people having service animals for this type of purpose, but she was a little surprised that Jairdain wanted one now after so many years of handling her blindness on her own. The girl looked rather pleased to have her fingers in the wolf's fur and Silfe had to smile and the innocent wonder of that happiness. It was so rare to have those moments anymore, where life was just a bundle of contentment and pleasure. Still, they were here to celebrate a return to a time where that might happen more often for the people of Commenor.

"I am Silfe Sosuri." She said, introducing herself to the young woman with a kind smile on her face.

As if tuned to the Queen's movements, Silfe turned, realizing the Queen had picked up boxes from beside the throne. She wasn't sure what [member="Lady Kay"] was doing or what the boxes were for so she had a bit of a quizzical look on her face when the Queen of Commenor approached her in an official manner. She briefly bowed her head automatically and with reverence as Lady Kay began speaking.

"In thanks for your efforts during the liberation of Commenor, the King and I give you this medal in recognition and also grant you the title of Lady Sosuri, which gives you governship over one of our countries. Congratulations."

Silfe took the box in a state of awe and only just realized Lady Kay had bowed her head. Quickly Silfe curtseyed, taking in the tremendous moment with a leaping heart. She had saved lives and that was being recognized here. Silfe had almost died during the liberation. Thanks to Olivia and [member="Drystan Marakos"], she had not. Now she was a lady officially. It was overwhelming and wonderful. "I live to serve Commenor and it's people your Majesty. Thank you for this great honor."

Figuring she would look at what was in the box in a moment, she held it to her chest and turned her attention to Jairdain. She watched and listened as the Queen spoke to Jairdain, mentioning a son Silfe had never heard of... a son that was Lady Kay and [member="Veiere Arenais"]' grandson. Jairdain would rule another of Commenor's countries on behalf of this offspring... Bradshaw's son... a son that Jairdain had not told her of. Her mouth opened a little in shock. Her dark eyes switched from Jairdain to Lady Kay and back again. Her face felt hot and her gut wrenched unpleasantly.

She had been coming to terms with Bradshaw finding love with Jairdain while she had been a captive of her father, but it was still a blow to hear that they had created a child and that Jairdain had kept it a secret even while trying to apologize to Silfe. There was much Silfe had forgiven... after all, she had been gone for over two years and presumed dead and was a generally forgiving person by nature, but this was... a bit much. As soon as the Queen moved to present @Baron Mordon with his box, she took several steps back. Decorum demanded that she remain as the Queen of Commenor continued to hand out her tokens of appreciation, but it didn't sit well with Silfe who shut her mouth with an audible click. Her jaw clenched as she watched passively, the ceremony.

Daxton stepped out on the balcony for some fresh air, the room while pleasant was filled with too much Light Side energy that his back teeth slowly began to pulse. Not that there was anything wrong with anyone, he just needed a breath of fresh air to clear his head. A lot had passed and the planet would continue to grow, abeit with a little financial and economic nudges which fit well into his plans. A stromg stable economy was always good for business, especially when one needed to dispose of resources obtained from questionable sources from the Outer Rim, yes business was good indeed.

Amusingly it seemed that the light siders were avoiding him like the plague, a most amusing development from when back in the day Jedi Masters were climbing on top of one another for the chance to soar with him, if not with blades then with wit and words. It was almost nostalgic......almost.

Smiling softly he sipped his drink before tapping out a death stick and lighting up and taking a hit pure nictoine before blowing a plume of smoke skyward.
