Pragmatic: Yael understands to hide her true loyalty to Mando’ade while making her marks in the outside world. She shed whatever virtuous attachment she had to the dogmas, viewing herself as an agent to advance the cause of her people with whatever means, even if she has to continuously break the Resol’nare and Catechism.

BIO:

Yael Kandar was a foundling, born a Pyke slave in Tatooine, rescued by the Karjr of Tatooine, Vren Rook , during a raid. She was taken to Kestri and adopted by the patriarch of Clan Kandar, Meshur. She showed her affinity in history and theology from a very young age, and her adoptive family decided to enroll her into the Mandokarla. Being non-force sensitive, Yael struggled to keep up with her peers at first. Eventually, she managed to catch her FU majority peers, but not before she developed a disdain towards them. It's rooted on jealousy, yet Yael rationalize her dislike on the fact that the force is the weapon of the Jedi and the Sith, historical oppressors of the Mando'ade, and both the light-side and the dark-side could corrupt Mando'ade to leave the creed for its respective religions. Yael grew up to be a smart yet opinionated, curious yet narrow-minded, strong yet stubborn, and beautiful yet cold young woman.

After the failed crusade, where she was maimed by Kahlil Noble , she went on a solo journey to Tatooine, her birthplace, and Mandalore, the birthplace of her people. In her journey she released herself from the bound of Resol’nare and the Catechism. With a heart full of ambition and pocket of zero resources, she worked independently as a gun-for-hire, building her own small crew, building her network and reputation. Her efforts caught the attention of Black Sun, which she joined later as an Assassin, specialising in Asymmetric Warfare, HVT, Propaganda, Sabotage, and Subversion.

After trying and failing to eliminate her own Godfather, Vren for a bounty, she made a disgraced return to Kestri, eventually aligning herself, in a very loose term, with the Iron Covenant.​
