The Lord of Hunger Deonis Laythar our group is going to get a bit of a delayed word on this, and make our way in from up North, in the Sith Holy Worlds. So we'll be getting there, just give us a round of posties first. Playing into the surprise attack narrative, and finding out the hard way about things... then jumping to respond!

Additionally, Caedes will likely be showing up with Revna Marr Haro Aven Naamino Zuukamano to break into the DS3. Meanwhile Srina Talon Madrona A’Mia Elmindra Xitaar Lina Ovmar and Taeli Raaf doing spooky space rituals and watchin' our backs from space.

Second among these defenses was information. Unlike the ancient Imperial weapon upon which the Death Star III was based, this battle station's plans had not been leaked to outside forces. There was no map of its moon-sized labyrinth of decks for boarders to reference. Might the main bridge of the station be closer than the reactor at its heart? Certainly, from some hangars... but how would one determine which? To land at a random hangar bay and hope to be within a dozen kilometers of the command bridge was to take a great gamble, a leap into the darkness.

From my understanding, wasn't it established in the previous threads (x, x) that the schematics were obtained by the Jedi? (I can't speak to the actions of groups not aligned with the GA or the Jedi.)

Since making my intro post yesterday, I haven't received any DMs or edit requests indicating otherwise.

From my understanding, wasn't it established in the previous threads (x, x) that the schematics were obtained by the Jedi? (I can't speak to the actions of groups not aligned with the GA or the Jedi.)

That said, in the spot you linked, I don't see a direct note that the full schematics of the station were downloaded.

I only see "schematics" in the context of docking pylons.

Hey! Sorry to bug you but most of the batteries you're referring to would be manned by crews rather than centralised in one location. At best, you fire off an errant blast from the point defence guns, but that's like, anti-missile defence capacity rather than offensive fire.

More than happy to liase on this front, but yeah. I don't think that approach works outright. Feel free to reach out to Darth Solipsis or Odria Kaelthron . They might be able to find something else for you.

All good by me. Everything I post is based largely on intent. I don't pretend to know how everything works and neither does Sarad. If he fails I'm more than happy to have Dark Forces tell me that in a post since they seem to be running the NPC side of things. Sarad will just move on to the next location.

I hope this doesn't derail your planned storyline, and I am happy to coordinate with you to make a pivot that is satisfying for everyone, but I do feel the need to make a clarification regarding the idea of a "Grand Theft Death Star". We appreciate you reaching out to Remus Adair and Darth Solipsis asking about your plan to steal the Death Star. We discussed this both with you and with the Black Sun admin.

In those discussions, we made clear that we are not interested in pursuing a storyline in which the centerpiece of the thread is hijacked, both for IC reasons (a crew of five hijacking a battle station with over one million crew strains suspension of disbelief) and for OOC reasons (having the thread centerpiece hijacked, especially early in the thread, derails the storylines of virtually every other writer involved). We hope that you are moving forward in collaboration with us and in understanding of the points we have raised.

Additionally, theft of a superweapon is explicitly forbidden by the rules of the Factory, as noted below:

Our goal is to provide a fun and engaging writing experience for all writers in the Annihilation. I hope this reminder is an unnecessary one, and that we are all on the same page, but I wanted to put it out there just in case. Thanks for your input in the public channel!

As repeatedly stated in OOC conversations, Gerra and his crew are attempting a heist because that is a fun storyline for pirates that I and the other writers are pursuing.

It was never intended to be successful, but I appreciate you pointing out the OOC rules regarding superweapons. If we approach a situation where they are able to wrest hyperspace controls away, I'll be sure to discuss with site staff regarding what can and cannot be done in terms of permanent theft vs temporary hijacking.
