  • STRENGTHS & WEAKNESES
    Strengths
    • Provide, in list format, some strengths of this submission. 2 recommended.
    Weaknesses
    • Provide, in list format, some weaknesses of this submission. 2 recommended.

  • CULTURE
    Diet
    • Herbivore – The species primarily consumes plant-based matter such as leaves, fruits, roots, seeds, and vegetables. They do not eat meat. Many herbivores are sensitive or allergic to proteins found in animal tissue, and meat-based diets may be toxic or indigestible to them.
    • Carnivore – The species feeds primarily on meat, raw or cooked. This includes animal flesh, insects, or seafood. They may be unable to process plant matter efficiently, and some vegetation (like certain fruits or grains) could be harmful or lack nutritional value.
    • Omnivore – The most flexible diet type. Omnivores consume both plant and animal matter, allowing them to adapt to a wide range of food sources. Their digestive systems are typically tolerant of most diets, though specific toxins or allergens may still apply.
    • Other (please explain) – The species has an unusual or highly specific diet. This could include photosynthesis, mineral consumption, radiation, fungi, electrical energy, Force energy, or synthetic compounds. Always explain what the species consumes, what it avoids, and what might be toxic.
CommunicationHow do they communicate? A spoken language (if so, tell us which), through barks and yips, body language, telepathy, etc.
    • Spoken Language – The species uses vocalized words and structured grammar to communicate, much like Basic or other galactic tongues. Specify the language used (e.g., Basic, Shyriiwook, Sith, etc.).
    • Non-Verbal Vocalizations – Communication is carried out through growls, barks, howls, chirps, clicks, hisses, or other non-linguistic sounds. May be emotional in tone or follow a patterned meaning.
    • Body Language – Posture, gestures, tail flicks, ear positions, and facial expressions convey meaning. This method is instinctual and deeply ingrained in social structure.
    • Pheromones – The species emits scent-based chemical signals to communicate mood, reproductive state, danger, or territory. Often combined with other forms of interaction.
    • Bioluminescence – Colored lights or glowing patterns on skin, frills, or appendages are used to communicate mood, intent, or structured signals—similar to sign language through flashing sequences.
    • Telepathy – Communication is conducted mind-to-mind. This may be species-wide or limited to Force-sensitive individuals. Some species speak in emotions or images instead of words.
    • Tactile Communication – Physical touch is essential to convey messages—through skin patterns, pressure, or contact-based signals. May be common in aquatic, subterranean, or sensory-heavy species.
    • Electromagnetic Pulses – The species emits modulated pulses of electromagnetic energy to communicate silently over distance. Typically found in synthetic, insectoid, or cybernetic lifeforms.
    • Vibration or Subsonic Rumbles – Messages are transmitted through vibrations in the ground, air, or water. Useful in dense terrain or for massive creatures.
    • Color Shifting – The species alters its skin tone or surface texture as a visual language. Similar to cuttlefish, this can indicate emotion or be used as coded messages.
    • Art/Symbolic Language – They communicate through symbolic writing, patterns, or constructed glyphs that must be interpreted. May be religious, philosophical, or abstract in nature.
    • Harmonic Resonance – Using tones, chimes, or harmonic frequency matching, this musical-style language may be soothing, complex, and unique to each individual or caste.
    • Force Empathy – Rather than full telepathy, the species sends emotions, sensations, or memories through the Force. It may bypass language entirely but still communicate intent or urgency.
Technology levelDescribe their societal technology level if it differs from Galactic Standard.
    • Stone – Civilizations at this level form small social groups and rely on primitive cultivation, hunting, and gathering. Tools are handmade and simple. There is little or no formal trade, and transportation is done on foot with no road systems. Communication occurs through storytelling or visual symbols.
(e.g. Endor, homeworld of the Ewoks and Yuzzum)
    • Feudal – These societies use simple manufactured goods and have established regional interactions. Tools are created by artisans or basic workshops. Agriculture involves domesticated animals and planted crops. Travel is done via animal power, sails, or waterways, and there are basic road networks. Writing systems are in use.
(e.g. Gamorr, homeworld of the Gamorreans)
    • Industrial – A division of labor between agriculture and manufacturing exists. Mass production emerges, powered by combustion-based electricity. Transportation and farming are motorized, and basic electrical communications (e.g. telegraphs, radios) are used. Literacy becomes widespread.
(e.g. Ryloth, homeworld of the Twi'leks)
    • Atomic – Highly efficient mass production, plastics, and metal alloys are common. Space travel is in early stages of development. Advanced medicine, business systems, and communications emerge, including radio and early computing. Societies may begin constructing orbital stations or satellites.
    • Information – Global data networks and digital communication dominate. Societies have widespread access to information. Early droids and energy-based weapons may appear. Repulsorlift technology is on the verge of discovery. While hyperspace is still out of reach, in-system space travel is common.
(e.g. Kubindi, homeworld of the Kubaz)
    • Space – Hyperspace travel, extra-system colonization, advanced energy weapons (e.g. blasters), efficient industry, and droid usage define this level. Considered the pinnacle of technological advancement before fringe or exotic technologies.
(e.g. Dac, homeworld of the Mon Calamari and Quarren)
Religion/BeliefsIf this species has a prominent religion or set of beliefs, describe them here.
General behaviorDescribe general behaviors such as: family life, values, how they raise their young, how they find mates, how they interact with the world and other species. Do they hunt? Build? Are they inventors? Explorers? Nocturnal? Diurnal? Do they attend schools? Etc.

  • HISTORICAL INFORMATION
HistoryInclude a description of the species history here. If your species is genetically engineered or Sithspawn please describe the process through which they were created, by who, and why. Explain the various challenges encountered during their creation. Most galactic species will be quite old - include major events relevant to the species in how they evolved and developed into what they are today where appropriate. Including Chaos canon events, where they impacted the history of this species, is a plus.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Planet Name: Centerra
  • Demonym: Centerran
  • Region: Unknown Regions
  • System Name: Luminaria
  • System Features: Centerra has one sun, known as Eos, and two primary satellite moons: Oceanus and Pilos. Beyond these major moons, the planet is accompanied by six lesser orbital bodies. These smaller satellites are not considered true moons by Centerran astronomers, but are instead classified as captured planetoids, moonlets, submoons, and dark companion bodies held within Centerra's wider gravitational field.

Together, these six lesser bodies are commonly remembered in local tradition as the Six Wanderers. Some orbit Centerra directly, while others are believed to be minor attendant bodies caught around Oceanus or Pilos. Their slow passage across the sky is often used in navigation, ritual calendars, and omens tied to the Stellar Convergence.

The Luminaria system lies within a treacherous nebula formed from an imploded star cluster, making ordinary navigation difficult and often obscuring Centerra, its moons, and its lesser satellites from outside detection.
  • Location: Here
  • Major Imports: Advanced technology, luxury goods, refined starship components, medical supplies, specialized droid parts, hyperspace navigation equipment, off-world art, rare cultural goods, and regulated scientific instruments.
  • Major Exports: Natural ores, precious metals, crystals, gemstones, luminous pearls, medicinal herbs, agricultural goods, regulated gravitic minerals, luxury craft materials, and select ecological resources.
  • Unexploited Resources: Centerra is believed to contain protected or difficult-to-reach deposits of Force-reactive crystals, rare metals, null-field materials, minerals, and organic compounds. These resources are not openly exported in bulk. Many are hidden within unstable zones, sacred sites, deep crust formations, lunar trenches, old ruins, Hollowite-bearing groves, or regions affected by the Stellar Convergence.

GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION

  • Gravity: 80% Standard Gravity
  • Climate: Temperate and greenhouse-influenced, with varied biomes ranging from lush forests to arid deserts.
  • Primary Terrain: Forests, mountains, grasslands, rivers, lakes, caverns, floating landmasses, volcanic regions, and coastal regions.
  • Atmosphere: Type I, oxygen-enriched. Centerra's atmosphere is breathable to most standard oxygen-breathing species, though its atmospheric density is roughly 20% higher than galactic standard. Average oxygen levels remain livable for most visitors, while dense forests, wetlands, lowland valleys, and ancient growth regions may carry oxygen concentrations higher than standard conditions.
Most visitors do not need a mask or regulator to survive on Centerra. However, those accustomed to standard Type I atmospheres may struggle in certain regions, especially during heavy exertion, long-term exposure, or travel through oxygen-heavy wilderness. Concerns may include lightheadedness, headaches, breathing discomfort, hyperoxia risk in extreme pockets, and elevated fire danger due to oxygen-rich air. Oxygen regulators are recommended for medically vulnerable visitors, strenuous expeditions, or prolonged work in dense lowlands. Younger inhabitants and long-term settlers often adjust as they grow, depending on the oxygen density of their local habitats.

GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY

  • Government: Oligarchy led by the Council of Elders, with elected representatives preserving balance between the planet's cultures, regions, and major powers. Key roles include the Lord Protector, Chancellor, High Counselor, and other officials responsible for governance, defense, diplomacy, law, and civic stability.
  • Affiliation: Centerra; Matthew of Valendale Matthew of Valendale - Character Bio : Lord Protector of Centerra, and is affiliated with the Faction: Farworlds Alliance
  • Wealth: Wealthy. Centerra possesses valuable natural resources, protected custom materials, refined luxury exports, rare crystals, regulated gravitic minerals, agricultural goods, and culturally significant craft industries.
  • Stability: High, Centerra is generally peaceful, law-abiding, and safe for travelers within major cities, trade routes, temples, and settled regions. The planetary government maintains strong civic order through the Council of Elders, regional authorities, and the Lord Protector's office. However, remote territories may be more dangerous due to harsh wilderness, old regional rivalries, isolated ruins, dangerous wildlife, resource disputes, and occasional disturbances caused by Force anomalies or the Stellar Convergence.
  • Freedom & Oppression: Centerra largely values freedom, individual rights, and the rule of law, though its political reality is layered and regional. The Lord Protector and central government serve as an overarching planetary authority, but many cultures, territories, and native peoples retain their own kings, queens, clan chiefs, councils, elders, or traditional rulers. Local customs, old rivalries, spiritual taboos, and regional power blocs may shape how planetary law is interpreted or enforced, and not every group is equally loyal, involved, or concerned with the wider aims of the Protectorate.
MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY

  • Military:Centerra maintains an organized planetary defense structure under the Lord Protector and the broader Sunfire Legion. The Sunfire Legion draws recruits from many regions, cultures, and species across Centerra, serving in planetary security, disaster response, peacekeeping, anti-piracy operations, border defense, and protection of vital locations.
  • Technology: Galactic Standard, with notable regional variation. Some cities invest heavily in science, advanced infrastructure, gravitic stabilization, repulsor systems, and research, while rural or sacred communities may prefer simpler tools that preserve older customs.

Technology on Centerra varies widely by region, culture, wealth, and spiritual tradition. Larger governments and wealthy enclaves can support major research initiatives, while smaller settlements focus on practical survival, agriculture, craft, and local defense. This uneven technological landscape encourages exchange between cultures, but it also creates visible differences in power, access, and daily life.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Stellar Convergence

Every 100 years, the Stellar Convergence traditionally aligns celestial bodies across the Luminaria system. The skies blaze with unusual color, tides rise, gravitational forces strain the coasts, and temporary portals or Force anomalies may appear. The event inspires awe, but it can also bring danger: floods, unstable passages, bursts of power, ecological disruption, and political unrest.

Following the 902 ABY Planeshift, the Convergence has become less stable and more difficult to predict. Disturbances in galactic orbits, hyperlane routes, and nearby stellar bodies have unsettled the old cycle, causing weaker echoes, premature alignments, delayed celestial patterns, and increased anomaly activity throughout the Luminaria system.

Sunfire Legion

As Centerra's central authority developed, the Lord Protectorate established the Sunfire Legion as a shared planetary defense arm answerable to the Lord Protector and Crown Council. The Legion draws soldiers, officers, specialists, and Dragon-Knights from many peoples and territories across Centerra, working alongside local guards, clan forces, temple protectors, and regional militias.

Sun Star Order

The Sun Star Order plays a central role during these periods, guiding, protecting, and warning Centerra's people while reinforcing the planet's belief in balance between life, the heavens, and the Force.

Settlement & Unity

Centerra was discovered by explorers during the Expansion Era and became a refuge for different groups seeking a new beginning. Early settlement brought ambition, cultural fracture, and conflict. Over time, the Sun Star Order helped mediate peace, and an oligarchic structure emerged to govern the planet through representatives, elders, and regional powers. The Council of Elders now aids major decision-making, with the Lord Protector serving as one of the visible guardians of planetary order.

Despite repeated hardship, Centerra endures as a world of uneasy unity: bright cities under strange skies, old ruins under green canopies, and many peoples trying to share one home without surrendering what makes them distinct.
