We're Not In Kashyyyk Anymore - SJO Dominion of Hex X-29

YbR.png
From the day man first stepped out of his cave he had seen the stars twinkling in the depths of space, like a million little diamonds scattered across the heavens. Every species had the same myth, they had looked up into the night sky and wanted to be there, wanted to reach out to the skies, the worlds and solar systems, to make their place on the galaxy. Everyone had done it, reached up to the sky, your hand held up against the heavens as if you could reach out with your hand to grasp them, hold onto the dreams which they brought with them.
The reality of that dream was the emptiness of space, vast tracts of the galaxy filled with nothing but the cold vacuum that waited patiently outside the metal can you launched yourself through it in. An ever patient predator, secure in the knowledge that eventually everyone, everything would succumb to its silent waiting. It was the fear which stood in the back of all spacers minds, the fear that drove them to be brash, to be the angry happy jocks that everyone was so fond of.
But the life of a Jedi, of a pilot, was long periods of waiting, long periods of travelling through that emptiness, but not always, there was always the potential to find a new world, a new location. To experience something that no-one else ever had, space was filled with anomalies and mysteries, tears in space and phenomenon that boggled the mind and defied explanation. It was one such phenomenon that the Silver Jedi had detected on the edge of their territory. An expedition had been put together, a single ship crewed with Jedi sent to examine the unknown sensor reading, to make sure it was safe. It was a noble thought, and as it turned out a fortunate one, they had found something out there, emitting a radiation that none of them had ever seen, a radiation that didn't seem to affect the ship or their bodies, but their minds were different. It found a purchase in the mind of one of the Jedi, a Knight named Yuroic, causing a feedback chain that rippled out through the force through the rest of the ship carrying the Jedi away into Yuroic's dreams. The metal can then become a vehicle of wonder, a portal to a world of dreams and the depths of the imagination. The portal to a world of talking lions and friendly robots, of roads of gold and cities of green. Come with us on a journey of imagination, explore the land of a pilots imagination, travel through the castle of a wicked witch, but be aware of the traps she’s left behind, the flying monkeys who seek your death. The emerald city calls, its market and the palace open to the public. Picnic in the fields but beware the talking lions, the moving scarecrows, as kindly as they seem is there something more there? Is this world an idyll paradise, or a is it a nightmare drawing you in?
OOC:
We’re going into the mind of our own [member="Yuroic Xeraic"] this month as he struggles with his drug addiction. He was up too late watching old movies and now all he sees is one. This is just a fun relaxed one guys, no need to stay in character, this is all the product of a feverish mind, or has he reached out to you while sleeping, pulling you into his dreams through the force? You decide.
Objective One: The Witches Castle (Combat)
Flying Monkeys and traps abound, in this witches castle. Step inside and brave the depths of it, test your skills against the best she can come up with. (This is a combat or a sneaking objective, explore the castle, try not to die in a trap and if you want there are flying monkeys waiting around every corner.
Objective Two: The Green City (Social/Combat)
Explore the city, wander around and explore the markets and the city, or explore the outsides of the city, the gentle hills and streams which criss-cross the land. But remember this is a dream or a nightmare, the world could turn against you if you want or could be a paradise for you. It’s all your choice.

Objective Three: BYOO
Bring your own objective, if there's a story you wanna tell then go crazy and have fun!

Objective Four: Rescue Team (Social/Adventure)
The first team of Jedi unconscious, on the ship trapped in Yuroic's mind. Under the command of Master Jyoti Nooran a second team is formed, charged with getting to the ship and extracting their friends before the science ship becomes a ghost ship.

This is all in the mind guys, so if you want to then go crazy, be as IC or OOC as you want, if you’re a figment of Yuroic’s imagination or has he just dreamt you up?

Objective 1

Rachel stepped out of the darkness. Where or when hadn't yet occurred to her. or perhaps they had and she had yet to notice. She looked down and saw robes on her. Now that wasn't right she was in armour with her gear or at least she felt that's how she should be. She looked down again and she was in her gear and armour. When had that happened. It didn't matter she remembered needing to fight a witch and her monkeys.

Now how was that right. She didn't know or care, her only goal was to fight the witch and her minions. She couldn't feel the spirits, now that wasn't right, she always could how could she suddenly not. Something overrode that idea. She had to fight the witch. She looked at her hands, there was an straw of hay in one and a lightsabre the other. She remembered her master saying something about lightsabres and brains. That wasn't important she need to kill a witch.

Objective 2: Socialise in this strange new world

Yuroic looked around the city. How did he get here? Was this something to do with the Silver Jedi Order? The place was burning and there didn't seem to be Sith, so this wasn't them protecting another Faction, was this the Order expanding their reach and gaining allies? Things were all blurring into one as he coped with his addiction, it was hard to think of anything but taking his next hit. For now, he have to pretend to be normal and functioning as the Order spent their day, after the incident at the zoo not too long ago, Yuroic couldn't let others know that he was still taking spice, though what he was taking was more potent than he use to make. His mind struggled to filter out his memories, he still couldn't remember what he was doing here, what was he meant to do here?

First guess, just check out the city. It was busy but everyone seemed friendly enough but Yuroic couldn't help think that they were a bit too friendly. He scratched the back of his neck as he tried to focus his mind. Perhaps some food would help him figure out what to do. Wandering around the market area, Yuroic sniffed out the nearest food store and inspected the food on offer. There was a vast amount of savoury and everything seemed to be his favourite items of food. This place seemed perfect, he ordered several items and started to devour the food as he realised how hungry he was. Now, what to do next.

Objective Two: The Green City
Location: Emerald Stadium

"Where am I?" Jessica asked people who were completely unfamiliar to her, upon awakening in what appeared to be a dressing room.

"You are in Emerald Stadium. There's only five minutes left for you before you enter the arena" one of the security guards informed Jessica.

That was much like the one time where she bought a lightsaber crystal for her first padawan, where they instead ended up fighting Geonosian prisoners in underwear. Probably because, in this city, Force-users were curiosities; the organizers thought that staging a fight between a Jedi and a host of critters or prisoners would be their idea of providing entertainment. And a multi-staged one? That was going to last a while to her. On top of that, the organizer was a wicked witch that issued her some fitting-form suit. And she was not allowed any other weapon than a lightsaber. So, in Jessica's mind, it was possible the suit could cause her some problems in the arena; for this reason, she decided not to wear it, and instead made her entrance into the stadium's playing surface, where the crowd, for some reason, had a mixed reaction to her appearance. But, knowing how she intended to fight, she'd rather not use her lightsaber until the final moment. Until they are too close for their own comfort or the witch decided to unleash blaster-wielding prisoners onto her. Now that Jessica was on the playing surface, there was a sixty-second waiting time before the witch's minions could unleash the first wave of critters.

Objective 2: The Green City
Location: Market
In Vicinity: [member="Yuroic Xeraic"] (Open to other interactions)

The walkway for the markets was quite packed that time of day, so there were people streaming all around Yuroic on their way to grub or produce. Right behind him, a young woman cursed as she just narrowly avoided him but ended up bumping into someone else.

If he were to look to his left, he would see the Atrisian bent over on the ground, quietly cursing as she rushed to snatch up all the pieces of fruit that had fallen from her basket before they were squashed by the crowds. Like most of the people present, she was clad in some green number, a pastel summer dress appropriate for the weather.

She grimaced as one peach was crushed under the wheel of a passing cart. Peaches were her favorite and that had been the juiciest specimen she had seen yet! So far her trip to the market wasn't going well at all.

Objective 2: Social - Feeding Yuroic.

Adele was usually a Shadow Operative, she had history of working deep cover and saving the galaxy from the shadows. Though for some reason, she was here in the middle of a kitchen working her way cooking all the food her….boyfriend(?) loved. Adele’s real identity had a history in the kitchen, her mother working in one and dragging her along to help. She knew her way around and with ease she flipped pans and plated the food.

The door jingled to the small food establishment and her head looked through the window pass. Joy filled her heart as she watched the man slink his way into the place – taking a seat. Yuroic had wooed her after their mission on Zeltros and deciding to use a restaurant as her current cover they have had a decently happy relationship. He was a grump, but she was happy. Moving through the door she brought him a plate, he instantly devoured it and she continued to bring food out to him. Once he took a breath, she smiled and leaned on the table by one hand.

“You are going to get fat and I’m going to have to trade you in for a younger model.” Musing over her comment she patted his face and smiled. “You’re lucky you’re cute. It would be hard to find someone like you Yuri-Bear.”

The Crush...

Throngs of people moved in step... The ceaseless marching. Dust floated up as countless feet - like serpents - writhed in time with her heartbeat. Ivory was walking, stalking, through the market stalls... but... what she'd been searching for, she could no longer recall.

"What..." She trailed off, turning this way and that, finding herself amongst a maze of covered caravans, canvas tents, and stalls. The sun above was warm, setting her skin to tingle...

The woman's violet eyes narrowed, spying a break in the crowd, and she began to move.

Moving like quicksilver, she crossed the gap and found herself in a small clearing. The smell of food touched her nose, but at that moment, she felt dizzy... and stepped too far back.

That carpet hadn't been there before...

And suddenly, she found herself struggling to escape, having caved in a tent after falling backwards.

*Crash*

Thankfully, there had been no-one in the tent, but the whole affair made her feel as if she'd never escape, and she cried out for help.

Objective: Rescue Team
Location: Pantera-class Stealth Frigate "Nightshade", Deep Space in the Inner Rim

The Master of the Silver Order normally didn't concern herself with CSAR operations, but many of the missing were very close to her.

Yuroic.

It had been days without any word from them. There had been no sign of their cruiser at Vladet, and thus far no one had had any luck uncovering anything on minor systems along the way. There was no reports of any pirate activity, the region historically a safe one if a backwater of sorts.

Now she was leading the operation personally, she had focused their efforts more closely along the projected route of the Novaltine, reverting over Ailon which would have been the start of the route into the Inner Rim to Vladet.

Currently, she paced around the bridge of her flagship, toying with a durasteel ball between her hands. It was solid metal, but it was like putty between her fingers as she warped the sphere with TK. A wonderful form of stress relief.

"Connect with Ailon traffic control," she ordered the senior comms officer. "Request that they provide us with all metadata for the Novaltine. If we can trace their exit vector, that'll help a lot in narrowing down their exact route."

While most still followed a general established route from one point to the next, there could still be some deviation numbering in light years. She wanted to get it right the first time so she wasn't wasting time with the eventual deployment of probes.

Drystan stood nearby, calmly eyeing a number of star-charts for the region.

She was dressed in a jumpsuit of dark grey and white, and her lightsaber (a curved-hilt design) hung from a utility belt.

"Master… Perhaps we can find them through the Force."

Drystan turned, catching Jyotti's eye.

"That many missing Jedi would be difficult to conceal. If Ailon *has* all the Meta-data, it could still take hours or weeks to comb that section of space - provided they didn't shift vectors after their first jump."

Losing is tempoary, giving up is permanent.
Objective: 1 Castle
Post: 1
Peps: [member="Rachel Taff"]?

The damp and cold interior of the strange castle she entered seem a little too welcoming, yes her race had a strange likeness to the dark, almost seeking it half the time, but this place, it was strange. There were always rumors about sirens and curses that witches may put on people to lure them into some dark deep cave, were who knows what would happen, actually she was certain energy vampires often used the same tactic. Perhaps that added to the homely feel as she slightly stalked through the dimly lit hallways. "Keep your sense open and second guess everything, watch out for traps and dont touch anything that looks strange, or too plain".

One could never be to careful in a place like this, years of exploration of temples tombs as 'other' places making her accustom to traps and other dangers, though in this case their was apparently someone else at the end of it all. Like a deadly game of those obstical course shows were a person ran a gauntlet of activated barriers. "At times like this more back up would be nice, though I would not be sure if such would make a bigger target or not".

Things weren’t looking good and Allyson looked up from her datapad as she was going over the information that they knew about. So many Jedi had gone missing and now they were there trying to find them. She watched Jyoti pace back and forth which meant this situation was bad. The datapad found its way back into her jacket and her arms folded in front of her.

Another voice, echoed on the bridge she had a point and Allyson nodded with agreement. Finally speaking up, she sighed. “We don’t have that kind of time sadly. If they’ve gone through hyperspace – I think there might be a way to track them see what or where they’ve gone.” Everything leaves a trail and Allyson was skilled with navigating hyperspace, but she was curious if she could pick up a trail.

Scratching the side of her head, she looked back towards Jyoti. “Thoughts, Boss?”

Objective 1: Figure out what is going on
People nearby: [member="Adele Crawford"] | [member="Arisa Yune"]

Adele was his girlfriend? When did they meet after the mission on Zeltron? He had searched for her, at first to apologise for what happened on Zeltron and see if she was interested in him. However, all his searches had failed, at least that was what he thought but no, that wasn't the case, instead he was here and she was interested in him. She mocked him for eating so much but his exercise routine usually meant he needed a high calorie diet. His mind was so foggy, he couldn't remember so much as he sat there worried about if the spice had removed memories instead of letting him relive his happy ones.

Then there was the presence of a woman in black, she was something familiar but only person that she reminded him of was impossible. How could she still be alive? She died on Mirial, Yuroic knew that. That was something Yuroic could never forget. Mirial was where it all went wrong for Yuroic and he couldn't help but stand up and move closer to the woman. "I... Uh... Adele, this can't be real. She can't be real..." Yuroic stuttered as he pointed to the familiar figure, his body shaking in fear, if this was real then why did she wait so long to confront him? Why hide so long away from him?

"Arisa... Mmm... Master?" Yuroic asked as he felt his heart race in deep-seated fear.

Objective Two: The Green City

"The Wicked Witch may very well accept that you win in time. However, she wants you to use your exotic powers" one of the maintenance staff whispered to Jessica before the introduction was made.

"Welcome to today's main gladiatorial bout: on the away side, we have Jessica Med-Beq, a Jedi Master and, for the first round, on the home side, three monkeys" the announcer shouted into the PA system.

Three monkeys? Jessica started to suspect there would be multiple rounds to this gauntlet; the onus was on her to fight the monkeys as she thought was possible. At this stage of the game, she just tried to use the Art of Movement to get out of the monkeys' way; it was only then that Jessica could even think about pinching the monkeys' nerves, by causing low-voltage sparks inside the monkeys' brains. Once those sparks took effect inside the monkeys' brains, the gasping crowd saw the monkeys drop into place as if caught by seizures, while Jessica was still rather fresh. Yet she knew that it was a very tight balancing act. But she knew that pinching one's nerves using the Force would only last as long as the seizures would last; this time around, she would run the calculations to solve for three sets of Maxwell equations in her head, the first one being between her and the nearest monkey, and the other two being between the monkeys. But would these calculations be run fast enough to zap them before the monkeys recover from these Force-induced seizures?

The Wookiee couldn't remember much about why he was there. Something about a weird signal in open space? But that was when he was on a ship. Why was he in a castle? Where was his padawan? And why the hell was there a lion singing about courage? What the hell even was a lion and how did he know it was a lion? Iakchi couldn't tell, and to be entirely honest, he was too freaked out by the winged monkeys flitting about to may much attention to that part.

Especially once the monkeys noticed him.

The creatures were screeching loudly, an ear-piercing shriek that made him raise both furry paws up to his ears in an attempt to drown out, but to no avail. Probably an effect of being stuck in someone else's dream world. How did he even know that was what's going on? He didn't know, but he just knew.

With a grunt he reached for his lightsaber, igniting it as he glanced around to see if there were any others, any allies. He wouldn't be too upset if he were alone here. Fun was fun, and he wanted it all.

Well, this mission just got weird.

One moment, they had been on a ship, and now they were... Honestly, he didn't know where the sod they were. Or well, he was. Because he had gotten separated from the others and had no clue where any of them had gone. As the Jedi Master wandered the marketplace, his Jedi robes weirdly swapped to something casual, he would try to feel the presence of others in the vicinity.

Yuroic. He could sense Yuroic. Where? His senses were foggy. He could also sense Jyoti. That was Jyoti, right? But Jyoti hadn't been on the ship with them... Odd. Was she here? Was she in danger? His thoughts immediately went to her and his concern for her, above all else, even his own predicament. He took a deep breath to calm and steady himself as he tried to reach out for her through the Force.

"Jyoti?" He tried to call through his mind, trying to establish a telepathic link. "Jyoti, please, please answer me if you're alright. Jyoti, where are-"

The more he locked on, the less like Jyoti it felt like. And the more darkness it seemed to have taken in. His eyes opened, eyes wide, pupils shrank as he needed to take a deep breath.

"... Wh-... What the hell was that?"

And yet it felt... Familiar, from somewhere. It felt sort of like Jyoti but it was not like Jyoti at the same time. And yet it felt familiar for another reason. But what? What was this darkness that almost seemed as though it threatened to swallow him whole?

The tangled remains of the tent gave way to a tickling feeling as Ivory found herself breathing in the smell of old hay; dust rose into her nose and she sneezed. Gone was the entrapment of the tent she'd fallen into.. Now, the gorgeous, tattooed, Raven-haired woman found herself lying on her belly. She leveraged herself up, covered in soft bits of straw.

No longer was she in the small clearing. Now, she was in an alleyway flanked by buildings. A four-legged animal, noble majestic, peered over its' hindquarters at the strange thing lying in the cart attached to its' harness. The look within the equine creature's passive eyes questioned her.

"Well... Hello there." Ivory said softly, her soft accent melodic (and hopefully calming).

When the creature turned its' head, disregarding her, Ivory crept backward, swinging her legs down and standing up behind the cart. Her leather corset was dusty, and a strand of straw tickled her chest. She reached down and plucked it out with an expression of exasperation. Bits of straw still clung to her raven hair.

As Ivory turned, she found herself nearly face to face with [member="Josh DragonsFlame"], and her breath caught in her throat. He was gorgeous... and he seemed more real than most of the faces she'd seen.

"Well... Hi there..."

"Masssssterrrrrrr!" A familiar bright jovial voice called out from atop a pile of rubble,"you're finally awake! tis a shame you slept through all the frivolities but hey do you think i'm brave enough to wake a sleeping rug?" Saka chuckled just thinking about it as she stumbled down the pile of rubble, she was not wearing her hood like she usually did, revealing long wavy black hair that she mostly kept hidden from the view of others.

“Quite a place isn't it? I find it rather funny, at least. I was planning on making a big scene; spook you while you were searching the castle grounds, maybe go see what the others are up to.” Saka smirked widely, patting the Wookie on the arm. “I would have put on a fantastic act, too! But ah, I found myself distracted with the issue of a sleeping Wookiee,” the Padawan twirled around thrice before force pushing one of the screeching monkeys into the adjacent wall, cracking its skull and leaving a bright red mark on the wall.

"They're a social bunch, you should try talking to them master... once you get past all the screeching and poo throwing they're quite nice really."

Objective Two: The Green City
Location: Emerald Stadium

As the crowd was nervously watching those monkeys struggling to recover from those seizures, Jessica finalized the Maxwell equation calculations for zapping these monkeys with green chain-lightning in the form of Electric Judgment. Since she knew she will make heavy usage of her computational power while in the arena, she decided not to perform those calculations at full speed; it took a while longer to do so. But with the monkeys in pain, their ability to move was impaired and their movement speed would be much slower than before the Neural Storm was unleashed. And the chain-lightning arced from Jessica's hand and onto each of the monkeys, attracted by the electric charges contained into the monkeys' brains whose brain chemistry was temporarily altered by the neural storm, and also frying the monkeys' nervous systems. The Wicked Witch wants me to use exotic powers. She also wants me to see its aftermath, she thought. Once the zapping is done, the announcer, supplied by the Wicked Witch, stood ready to announce the second round of the arena gauntlet:

"The second arena gauntlet involves fighting some prisoners armed with blasters and given one last chance to entertain in death"

Adele looked at Yuroic concerned with his babbling. She took a seat next to him and took his hands as he was shaking. She knew he was on drugs, she knew he was doing the spice that they had confiscated back on Zeltros. Thanking both his hands she kissed his knuckles and patted his hands watching him spiral out of control.

“I’m real, I’m as real as you want me to be. You’re coming down off the drugs – we’ve had you getting clean for some time.” A smile spread across her face as she let his hands down. “Just eat baby, everything will be better.” Standing she pushed the food towards Yuroic and nodded towards it. “You need to eat, you’ll feel better.”

What... Was in the world was that? His fair skin had gone pale, almost as though he had seen a ghost. The presence was familiar... And yet so ominous. He almost wanted to reach out and touch it again. But the other part of him didn't want to. He would let out an exhale, as he would try to reach out to the only other person he could sense in the vicinity.

"Yuroic. Yuroic! Yuroic, where the kark are we?" He tried to cry out in telepathic fashion to [member="Yuroic Xeraic"] as he hoped that perhaps he could find some answers. He had closed his eyes, trying to feel out, trying to sense, trying to find the others... But thus far, nothing.

When he opened his eyes, he would find himself face to face with a woman he did not know. Cute, she was, but still a stranger.

"... Well, hello there" He spoke casually, blinking a few times. When had she shown up?
