Weekend Treasure Hunt 12: The Last Will and Testament of Rave Merrill (open)

[member="Darth Vitium"] would not find what she sought.

[member="Darth Arcanix"], however...

At Brandl's theatre on Trulalis, Arcanix would find a set of coordinates, an alchemical key, and an Iron Crown T-2000 Otherdrive. The route would lead her into a fourth plane -- realspace, subspace, hyperspace, Otherspace -- and to the fully operational Jen'asha Station, where the key would get her recognized as the station's legitimate owner. A nearby depot belonged to [member="Danger Arceneau"], who would doubtless be pleased to meet her new neighbour. And irked that Arcanix had beaten her to it.

...The last Lonesome Gun, capable of permanently killing even those who can transcend death, I leave to whoever can solve the following two location clues. Stands tall against a lethal sky, but brokenness lies inside. Father of thrones, slain by trickster's shattered love.

Aaralyn remembered this well, as her fathered had trained her here. The lethal skies of Vjun and the darkened Bast Castle with the decimated stated of Vader within. She remembered Ember telling her to leave it alone despite her curiosity. She would have to figure out the other half-during her trip, atleast for now...she'd be on her way to securing what she sought.

It appeared that she was at a loss for a location in regards to the latter of the riddles for the codex, but as she read through the transcription of the will of her dear savior she came across a slight feeling of familiarity in regards to the former of the two riddles, and after careful review of the list she gave it her attention and consulted her personal archives and several personal acquaintances for answers. Eventually the information she uncovered, a tale of a revolt on Blaudu Sextus, seemed to resemble a vague memory she had and made her next mark on the galactic map on a trip to discover if she had been correct.

In Bast Castle on Vjun, with acid rain sloshing the glasteel windows, in the shadow of the broken statue of Darth Vader, Aaralyn found half of an alchemical trinket -- useless alone. In combination with its other half, it would lead a searcher to the Lonesome Gun.

Flint Michigan didn't know [member="Rave Merrill"], but he knew treasure when he saw it. Heading after The Lonesome Gun he headed first for Skyfang, or M'Nis, the tallest point on the toxic planet Goroth Prime. Second he traveled to Monor II, the planet where Yun-Harla the Trickster's servant Nom Anor poisoned many people during the crowning ceremony of Agapos the Tenth. Who knew if he'd find what he was looking for, but the Spacer/Smuggler/Treasure hunter had to at least try.

Meet her new neighbor she would, likely eventually.

The Trade Queen had a keen interest in that Station -- and it would be publicly known. Whenever word would come to Danger Arceneau about the new owner, it would be sure that the fiery haired female would be apt to request an audience with [member="Darth Arcanix"]. It would be sure that the woman would be more than happy to discuss a business opportunity that would be mutually beneficial to both of them.

That is, unless the Darth of the One Sith would be so keen on coming to Miz Arceneau herself. What manner of trade the woman would be willing to part for that station would be notable indeed. If anything, there wasn't a favor or token she couldn't get her hands on for it.

Danger Arceneau would be willing to pay a pretty penny in credits, goods, rare artifacts, or what have you for that.

Taurannik Codex:

Clue 1:

Dromund Kaas is left happily behind. Onward and upward I go, looking for the slaves who once tried to free themselves. Dromund Kaas isn't it, maybe I was overthinking. Maybe it's not as simple as all that. I let Bingo pilot the Sumatiyara to Keshtah Minor where Adari Vaal had once tried to break from the Lost Tribe of the Sith. Could Merrill be sending us there? Could the Codex be found?

I have to save the Codex. It's too precious to fall into marauding hands.

Jack Rand

Captain of The Love Boat
Jack was sad that he never got meet this [member=Rave Merrill], she seemed like an interesting person and those were getting rarer and rarer. Though he wasn't sad about her leaving behind her Lethewalker. After reading the clue about the ship, Jack made his way to two different areas, both where Imperial agents had fallen. First Naboo, the sight where Darth Maul was horribly maimed, and then onto Utapau, where the Khaleesh cyborg Grevious met his end.

One step away from freedom, he compensated for nothing, but annihilation was his fate.

The Taurranik Codex would be a valuable piece of a collection for Viktor, even just a piece of it held great knowledge that would aid Viktor in his research. He looked towards the second riddle and thought about it for a length of time. He felt that the answer was Darth Vader, who was almost free from his masters grasp, but was killed when he broke free of the darkness. Viktor began searching areas important to the Chosen One.

..My breeding stock of four hundred captured and cloned terentateks, I leave to whoever can solve the following two location clues. A molten statue, on a world burned to cleanse one man from the galaxy’s face. The place the oldest, strongest left the path -- weakness after millennia.

Since the search at Roche Asteroids went without a prize, Danger set off to another riddle. After pondering, she would send her crew towards Yavin 4. It was there that the planet that held the Great Temple, where Nomi Sunrider led thousands of Jedi in the creation of a wall of light; the power of which destroyed the landscape of Yavin 4, and trapped the Dark Lord's spirit within the walls of his temple forever.

Perhaps the breeding stock would be there.

Returning to Coruscant, Arcanix was pondering another riddle involving the uplifted tuk'ata that [member="Rave Merrill"] had created. The obvious answer was when Anakin Skywalker, going by the name Darth Vader at this point, had sworn fealty to Palpatine and then went on to capture the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, their greatest bastion. A cyborg, bowing before a scarred one then capturing a great one. Thinking that answer was too obvious, she still went to check the area, just in case while her brain bubbled about other answers to it.

Taurannik Codex:

Nothing on the others, I'm off again toward the planet Bengali: the scene of uprisings in times past with the Bengali against the Echani Command. Could the Master Alchemist be working on the most fightey-est people in the galaxy? Seems like there's a lot of them. . .

I don't know, but it's worth the try.

[member="Viktor Romanov"] would be looking a long time.

[member="Danger Arceneau"] found half of an alchemical trinket...you know the drill.

[member="Darth Arcanix"] found nothing. Neither did [member="Anders Sivas"], blinded by Echani fetishization. Perhaps if any of the other fighteyest people in the galaxy had been considered, she might have found something.

Aaralyn had researched extensively, and had compiled a list of locations to search for the second portion of the key for where the Lonesome Gun would be located.

Where to begin?

Naboo.

While Silara was certain her gut was wrong in this decision, there was a ... certain feeling about Mustafar that the Sith Lord felt. When she had been in meditation on the world she had incited the unwelcoming voice of a long-dead Sith Lord, an event not yet spoken of to any, and it had resulted in her attracting another Sith to clash in a duel - a duel wherein she, a mere Acolyte and apprentice to Darth Veles for hardly a month, found herself pressing a Sith Knight without great difficulty. Casting aside the reminiscent feelings and memories, she instead searched for the site of the battle between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Vader, then known as Anakin Skywalker to his Jedi foes. There was something about the world, and perhaps even if it was not to be here, she hoped a clue would.

With one piece of the tablet, Arceneau would mull over the rest of the puzzle. The place the oldest, strongest left the path -- weakness after a millennia.

Could this be perhaps in reference to the Valley of the Jedi on Ruusan? Per her instructions, the scouting party would travel into Republic territory, going to the Valley of the Souls was the site of the Seventh Battle of Ruusan, the last battle of the New Sith Wars.

[member="Aaralyn Rekali"] would get out of her search what she put into it.

[member="Darth Vitium"] was not successful, though she might stumble across some old Blackguard trinket.

[member="Danger Arceneau"]'s scouting party would run smack-dab into the Jedi Temple at the Valley of the Jedi. The Jedi would confirm that no Sith-Witch-slash-Nightsister-slash-alchemist had left anything here. Eyebrows would probably be raised.
