Weekend Treasure Hunt 12: The Last Will and Testament of Rave Merrill (open)

Here body-gnawers received overdue education at the hands of that which changes face.

After examining it again, Viktor decided that the overdue education could have another meaning. He then began to look in the records for overconfidant carnivores. He decided that it could be during the decline of the Infinite Empire. This began when they met their fiercest enemies the Esh-Kha. So he decided to head to where the Esh-Kha had been imprisoned... Whilst his alter-ego waited for a certain reaction Carach decided to take some initiative, and so he went under the cloak of the White Current an visited the ruins of Belia Darzu's old citadel located on the planet of Tython. Probably a long-shot, but there were other things of interest to find here anyway, so a win-win situation by any means.

On the world of Ambria, the world that a man she had professed as her predecessor, Darth Bane, had once visited during his escape from the Jedi, Silara found herself sitting in meditation. There was a lake that was a nexus to the dark side with creatures lurking within born from its tainted wash. But it was a lake that had taken on its worlds evils once the Jedi, Arca Jeth, had attempted to cleanse the world of this taint of the Dark Side. Lake Natth called to her, and though she knew not if it were to travel the path her idol had once walked, or for some other reason unknown to her, she answered.

Soon afterwards, keeping her voice silent out of respect, she made her way to the world of Taris, a world where an amnesiac Sith Lord-turned-Jedi had escaped from the planet's glassing - a world which gradually came to be born anew after several thousands of years of solitude. Its beauty was fascinating, but it was boring to someone who wished only to scar everything as this galaxy had ruined her.

One step away from freedom, he compensated for nothing, but annihilation was his fate.

Angered by his failures in location the Dark Forge, Viktor began to feel worry as the realization that others were out there to try and get the temple too. He needed an edge over these people, and masters would most likely not bow to his new Second Skin. So he needed leverage. He went after another half clue that he was obtaining in order to possibly trade for the other half of his own puzzle. This riddle seemed obvious to Viktor, but that was perhaps his hubris. The answer was Exar Kun a man who almost escaped mortality by ascending to the spiritual world as a force ghost, but was stopped by his enemies.

[member="Darth Carach"] would find nothing, just like everyone else who'd gone to Tython, which was several. Republic forces began to notice.

At Lake Natth on Ambria, [member="Darth Vitium"] found one full Omega Protectorate pardon.

[member="Viktor Romanov"] would, perhaps, get the sense that he'd come rather close, but no cigar.

While Taeli thought where to travel to next to look for the clue to the Dark Forge, she contemplated other riddles on [member="Rave Merrill"]'s will. Looking at the one about the codex, she thought it over and over again in her head. Something was clicking, a passing mention or two of events from the past.

To the first part of the clue, she thought the answer was about a Mandalorian named Belok Rhal slaughtering the Octusi on Blaudu Sextus during a slave revolt that resulted in thousands of Octusi dying and their elders being killed just to make a point on the Holonet. The second part reminded her of what Emperor Palpatine had done on Onderon, when he had tried to escape his last clone body, unleashing his spirit to try and possess Anakin Solo. He had failed because he didn't compensate for the dying Jedi that drew the Sith Lord in and took him into the void together

...The Lethewalker, my personal frigate, I leave to whoever can solve the following. A twisted visage, many lives owed to justice, a long fall and a dumb servant sacrificed.

Viktor tried his hand again, this time at Rave's personal ship. No matter what he needed a bargaining piece and this could be it. A twisted visage and servant sacrifice. Viktor had gotten tired of his failures as he licked his wounds, but this one he hoped would lead to fruition. He had determined that the twisted visage was Darth Sion a monster of a man who was simply a tool for the two other sith at the time, Nihilus and Traya.

Seeing Rave's will, Jace decided to head out towards Trandosha in hopes of finding the location of the Dark Forge. He had visited the planet before and witness the Trandoshens devour his entourage as he hid amongst the forests. He also recalled their mysterious goddess, the Scorekeeper, who had only ever been seen through her her avatars, and thus, many faces.

After her time on Taris, the world that Malak had once bombarded to snuff out the chance of his former master continuing to live, Silara ventured next to Telos IV, a world far into the Outer Rim. It was another world that bore similarities with the Tarisian world - it, too, had fallen subject to the infamous Base Delta Zero order, the glassing of a planets surface, all for one man.

It did not take her quite so long in lingering as she had on Abeloth for her to leave to seek for the nearly forgotten world of Dagobah, a world of exile and solitude, once bearing a nexus to the dark side and former place of hiding for the Grandmaster-in-Exile, Yoda. It would be her final place to search for the next few days, already feeling fulfilled by the pardon she had obtained.

[member="Viktor Romanov"] had trouble finding a location; this was one factor in his lack of success this round.

[member="Jace Beleren"] had made a guess that Rave would have respected, were she alive. He was not successful.

[member="Darth Vitium"] found nothing on Telos. On Dagobah, however, she got the impression that something was in this sector, just not what she was looking for.

Arcanix was crawling through a listing of cannibals in history, she was sure this was the correct path to take in finding the clue about the Dark Forge in [member="Rave Merrill"]'s will. A highly unusual story caught her attention, something from the time of the Galactic Civil War. A report from a Zak Arranda about a group of people that were cannibals called the Children. Apparently, they were descendants of a research expedition that had been stranded on the planet Dagobah and were encountered by another group around 1ABY. They attempted to eat his group, but they were accidentally led to a dark side infused cave that tortured them with visions of the past. An education of sorts for their misdeeds.

Shrugging as she had nothing else to do, she plotted a course for the Dagobah system to check out the system and see this Dark Side cave for herself.

And in that place, [member="Darth Arcanix"] found half of an alchemical trinket, useless alone. When combined with the one held by [member="Viktor Romanov"], however, it would lead them to the infinitely remote planet Kelsier. Within the mysterious Fort Elsa uplift facility, they would find proud but pragmatic qo'saarai tuk'ata, a stygium prospecting operation in full swing, the Dark Forge of Aza'zoth -- the most powerful alchemical forge in existence -- and the Deicide Oculus, a mindtrap built to destroy the Dark Lord of the One Sith, but useful for other things too. Like trapping the consciousness of meddling farseers and battle meditators, for example.

The pieces would be drawn together, but subtly; the two young Sith might not even notice. In time, however, some kind of connection would be made between the holders of the two pieces. They would find each other, or run into each other. How that went down would depend utterly upon them.

There was also the possibility that Arcanix would run into [member="Darth Vitium"], who was also on Dagobah.

After realizing how generic he had been about saying it was in Sion while just sitting in his chair, he decided to get up and make his way to Malachor 5. The planet was too harsh for him so he sent down droids to go what was left of what use to be a peaceful planet, now reduced to mere asteroids. (If there are any)

A small smile flitted across the Sith Lord's lips as she realized what was likely the answer to one of the riddles, that in regard to one's oblivion. There were two Sith Lords whom she greatly idolized for their knowledge and presumed power in Sith Magic and alchemy, Naga Sadow and Darth Andeddu, and while she had been curious of the former, she knew exactly where to find the latter - she had planned an expedition to Prakith as it were, and had been there many times before, in order to discover an ancient holocron. Venturing to Prakith, she sought out Andeddu's Keep, though this time not for a heretic holocron. She had another planet, a moon even, in her head.

Curious as she was, having found that she was off, Silara ventured towards Khar Shian, though she made a stop on Ambria again at the site of the duel between Darth Zannah and Bane - one which shaped the destiny of septillions - to make a final check to ensure she had not missed anything while she was there prior. Not too long afterwards she would continue her venture to the citadel of Naga Sadow, long abandoned and likely forgotten through time, to search for clues there, though she was beginning to wonder if it would be worth the risk to travel into the next system - the Sith Worlds in Mandalorian space - to search for more.

Arcanix was looking through [member="Rave Merrill"]'s will again, wondering if she wanted to pursue anything else. The mention of Jen'asha Station piqued her curiosity and she once again delved into records and stories from the past to find who was a traitor, a father, and an actor. She arrived at an Inquisitor named Adalric Brandl. He had served Emperor Palpatine during the Galactic Civil War, but turned rogue and fled back to his homeworld Trulalis, hiding within a theater there and going back to acting. He had a son named Jaalib, and he tried to teach a young girl to use a lightsaber by igniting the tips of candles. Figuring she was in for a good show at least, she set a course for Trulalis and to investigate this theater
