The training droids were available.

The training weapons were lining the room.

All that was left were those who would come attend.

He had sent out the message, an open one to those who would want to learn. It was originally restricted to those who knew about where he would be, but eventually opened up to more. Nothing overwhelming as they were guests here under the pleasure of his highness, Uncle Thurion Heavenshield. The invitation had been sent, and now it was only a matter of time before the first arrivals would step into the training space. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation, the quiet hum of readiness filling the air as the room awaited the eager participants.

Connel was preparing himself already, in the middle of a kata, or “velocity”, whatever you prefer, he was working through the kinks and any rust he might have. He was wearing all of his gear, but the mask was off to the side. There was a purpose to this and that will be addressed when he is ready to address everyone. Right now? Right now he was just relaxing, and trying not to laugh as he heard Buster, playing with “Cooper”, his mother’s own pup off in the distance. She was there too, happily watching them and openly proud of the man her son had become.

It was a strange feeling to come home, she traveled mostly to the worlds of ice for the silver watch. Orihime had kept them going even now... but there was something to be said about coming back home. The Boughtine Robes under the Silver Watch Cloak. There was a lot to be said about the training when she entered with her Boughtine Reavers Axe on her hip. The hilt of it looking like an eskima stick but the lightsaberr blade of it would be able to come as needed. The thick mane of hair braided while she was walking more to find her place while looking at the one who was leading this class or session. Either way she was ready.

Ace hadn't planned on linking up with any Hidden Path operatives. At least, not yet. But when he received the message from Connel Vanagor Connel Vanagor - he couldn't pass it up, and the timing seemed perfect.

He arrived at the training hall without ceremony, the hum of practice droids and distant voices faint under the low thrum of anticipation that hung in the air. His eyes swept the room, catching the gleam of polished hilts lined along the rack and the rhythmic movement of Connel in mid-velocity.

Ace lingered near the entrance for a moment, eyes tracking the rhythm of the kata before drifting down to the weapon at his side. His thumb brushed over the hilt's slanted emitter, the metal cool beneath his prosthetic fingers. The lightsaber thrummed faintly in answer, like it knew who was touching it.

This one was different. It was his. He'd carried the lightsaber of Vinorl Kastan for his whole life, never realizing what it meant to hold a weapon that truly resonated with him. That old blade had been a companion, yes, but it had also been a relic of someone else's path... a ghost that hummed with a song not his own.

The one hanging at his hip now sang in perfect pitch. He'd forged it on Naboo, the kyber crystal attuned to his essence, the bond so precise he could feel its pulse beneath his skin, even through the metal of his arm. It was more than a weapon. It was a mirror, of everything he'd lost, and everything he'd rebuilt.

A faint chirp from the floor near his boot drew his eye. Tic had followed, the BD unit tilting his lens toward the training droids before giving a soft, doubtful warble, an almost comical skepticism about Ace's latest idea. The corner of his mouth twitched.

That was part off why he was here, to test that bond. To see if this new arm, this new blade, and the person caught between them could move as one. If he was ever going to stand against another Sith Lord like Kyrothian Ravoch Kyrothian Ravoch , instinct wouldn't be enough. He'd need control. Precision. The kind of focus that turned survival into mastery.

Ace stepped forward, the faint whine of servos under his sleeve accompanying the motion.

"Didn't expect to find a class going on out here." He said, voice even but edged with a half-smirk. "Figured I'd sit in, see if I can learn something new."

Two people were actually two more than he was expecting.

To be honest, Connel hadn’t thought of anyone who would be interested. With the way of the world right now, and what they were trying to do with what they were building here, it would have been no surprise to Vanagor if he were ghosted. However two was a good thing, if so far. So he welcomed each of them.

Thanks for coming out. Fully aware of the snide jig the Mandalorian kid made, and letting it go for the moment. I want to give some more, the chance to show up, but if they don’t within the next few minutes, we’ll get started. I might even teach you the first two tiers just to make those who wussed out a jealous. He smirked.

Jonyna had been absent ever since Coruscant fell. To her friends, it had been as if she had disappeared. Only those who knew of the Wild Space Rebellion knew anything.

Jonyna had chosen exile once again. Her plans of a brighter future had failed.

But those who knew her knew it was only a matter of time until she tried again. Only a matter of time until she popped back up.

"Still training, I see."

Her voice rang through the training room, as she quietly stood in the back. "Nice to see someone's still at it Connel."

She listened as another came to join. Her cloak going off of her shoulders while she stood in the more form fitted robes that would let her move. The hilt of her saberaxe gleaming while she secured it on a small sheath over her shoulder. Braided hair was being pulled back into its own ponytail over her shoulder as another came in. The larger woman's face remained neutral in the moment when she listened to the one teaching. Offering to teach them more if no one else showed up with got a raised eyebrow as she stood still and at the ready. "If that is what you want us to learn, I'll make sure master Orihime has more of the Silver Watch come to the next class."

This is a surprise!

The Cathar, none other than “Kitty” (his nickname for her, even if she doesn’t find it funny), Master Jonyna Si was here? Truth is, Connel thought she was dead. This was a nice surprise to be sure, and while he wanted to be more welcoming, Vanagor was getting into “mode” and in the middle of a velocity.

When he finished, he turned to face her directly. Not really surprised that she found the Hidden Alliance Base, but that it took her so long really to get here.

Master Si! Glad to see you. Still flourishing his father’s weapon, Connel just kept walking to keep in preparation, his attention was fully on Jonyna though. A wise Jedi once told me “You only fail, when you stop trying.” No, it was not his father, it was her once.

Ace had been ready to speak again when he heard a new voice echo through the hall. The young rebel turned toward the Cathar who had entered, 'Master Si', Connel called her. And judging by the cadence in his voice, they seemed to know each other.

There was something weighty about her presence, a lived-in steadiness beneath the surface that drew his attention for a moment. She wasn't someone rediscovering the path; she was someone who'd built one before and walked away from it.

Then he noticed Rowena, she was here when he arrived but he hadn't truly paid any attention until now. She seemed composed and calm, like most Jedi. Between her, Jonyna, and Connel, Ace suddenly felt the odd one out. Less a Jedi among peers and more a wanderer who'd stumbled into a reunion.

Connel's voice broke through his thoughts, quoting Jonyna's own lesson back to her. It pulled the faintest smile from him.

"You only fail when you stop trying..." Ace echoed quietly to himself, thumb brushing along the emitter of his lightsaber.

He took a step closer, the soft hiss of servos under his sleeve accompanying the motion.

"Can't say I've met a Cathar before..." he added, glancing toward Jonyna with a nod. "But if you're the one who came up with that line, I owe you for it. It's really something to live by."

From the floor near his boot, Tic gave a faint, approving beep, as if punctuating the sentiment. Then, Ace looked toward Connel again, expression settling into something more focused.

"Whenever you're ready, Vanagor. I'll follow your lead."

He shifted slightly, stance loosening into the faint readiness of someone who didn't quite relax, even among allies. The Force stirred within him, alive, curious, threading through old lessons and new beginnings alike.

Her attention went towards the jedi master and she bowed her head while awaiting the lesson. There was bonds here that she had not been a part of being among the silver watch. She remained at the ready with one final check to her robes to make sure they were cinched and secure. Thoughts less racing then she was focusing on the goal of the class was to learn something new to take back. She repositioned herself so that there would be enough space to move with the instructions.
