TRAINING GROUNDS OUTSIDE HEAVENHEIM

The training droids were available.

The training weapons were lining the room.

All that was left were those who would come attend.

He had sent out the message, an open one to those who would want to learn. It was originally restricted to those who knew about where he would be, but eventually opened up to more. Nothing overwhelming as they were guests here under the pleasure of his highness, Uncle Thurion Heavenshield. The invitation had been sent, and now it was only a matter of time before the first arrivals would step into the training space. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation, the quiet hum of readiness filling the air as the room awaited the eager participants.

Connel was preparing himself already, in the middle of a kata, or “velocity”, whatever you prefer, he was working through the kinks and any rust he might have. He was wearing all of his gear, but the mask was off to the side. There was a purpose to this and that will be addressed when he is ready to address everyone. Right now? Right now he was just relaxing, and trying not to laugh as he heard Buster, playing with “Cooper”, his mother’s own pup off in the distance. She was there too, happily watching them and openly proud of the man her son had become.

It was a strange feeling to come home, she traveled mostly to the worlds of ice for the silver watch. Orihime had kept them going even now... but there was something to be said about coming back home. The Boughtine Robes under the Silver Watch Cloak. There was a lot to be said about the training when she entered with her Boughtine Reavers Axe on her hip. The hilt of it looking like an eskima stick but the lightsaberr blade of it would be able to come as needed. The thick mane of hair braided while she was walking more to find her place while looking at the one who was leading this class or session. Either way she was ready.

Ace hadn't planned on linking up with any Hidden Path operatives. At least, not yet. But when he received the message from Connel Vanagor Connel Vanagor - he couldn't pass it up, and the timing seemed perfect.

He arrived at the training hall without ceremony, the hum of practice droids and distant voices faint under the low thrum of anticipation that hung in the air. His eyes swept the room, catching the gleam of polished hilts lined along the rack and the rhythmic movement of Connel in mid-velocity.

Ace lingered near the entrance for a moment, eyes tracking the rhythm of the kata before drifting down to the weapon at his side. His thumb brushed over the hilt's slanted emitter, the metal cool beneath his prosthetic fingers. The lightsaber thrummed faintly in answer, like it knew who was touching it.

This one was different. It was his. He'd carried the lightsaber of Vinorl Kastan for his whole life, never realizing what it meant to hold a weapon that truly resonated with him. That old blade had been a companion, yes, but it had also been a relic of someone else's path... a ghost that hummed with a song not his own.

The one hanging at his hip now sang in perfect pitch. He'd forged it on Naboo, the kyber crystal attuned to his essence, the bond so precise he could feel its pulse beneath his skin, even through the metal of his arm. It was more than a weapon. It was a mirror, of everything he'd lost, and everything he'd rebuilt.

A faint chirp from the floor near his boot drew his eye. Tic had followed, the BD unit tilting his lens toward the training droids before giving a soft, doubtful warble, an almost comical skepticism about Ace's latest idea. The corner of his mouth twitched.

That was part off why he was here, to test that bond. To see if this new arm, this new blade, and the person caught between them could move as one. If he was ever going to stand against another Sith Lord like Kyrothian Ravoch Kyrothian Ravoch , instinct wouldn't be enough. He'd need control. Precision. The kind of focus that turned survival into mastery.

Ace stepped forward, the faint whine of servos under his sleeve accompanying the motion.

"Didn't expect to find a class going on out here." He said, voice even but edged with a half-smirk. "Figured I'd sit in, see if I can learn something new."
