As had come with a majority of Kuat Entralla's production licenses, the Vornskr-class came out of the demand of Trade Defense Force Special Operations units for vehicles determinant for specialized assignments. The main aim of the Vornskr was to provide for a rapid deployment, stealth capable dropship. The need for this came following an operation conducted by TDF led by
Qrgyl Ud
in the Ord Lithone system. As the Trade Federation was in the earlier processes of establishing its logistics route between the New Imperial Order and Galactic Alliance following renewed relations following the stand off at Yinchorr, a commerce fleet was interdicted by pirates in the outer reaches of the system, the Trade Defense Force answered the distress signal and a task force was deployed within ninety minutes. Unfortunately, it existed the system far too close to the pirate's formation, leading for was supposed to be designed as an operation designed to slip droid units into the maintainance hold of the freighter to secure the hostages and cargo soon turned into a violent stand off resulted in a pyrrhic 'success' of TDF operations which resulted in the loss of several hostages and the deaths of all the pirates responsible.The Vornskr-class would prevent such a failure in the future, allowing for the swift and undetected insertion of TDF operators into areas of need. Soon after its first production run in 862 ABY in which it saw extensive use in opposition of terrorists on the borderlands near Asation, the New Imperial Order special operations commissioned a small number of them to be used in similar operations. So too did the design reach the hands of two outlying organizations in the Warlords of The Sith of which the design blueprints and specifications were transferred to the Zuguruk Artificers Guild in which they began to produce an unlicensed yet identical variant of the ship and also finding its way to the Unknown Regions and the Knights of Ren after they'd manage to capture one in use by the Trade Defense Force and begin their own unliscensed production.
