OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: Vheh'Ramikad - Mando'a for Dust Commandos
  • Affiliation:
  • Classification: Heavy Black Ops and Commando Unit
  • Description: Formed as a continuing retribution from the Lady of Secrets for what their Alor did to her, Vheh'Ramikad are spirits of Mandalorians killed during the fighting between the Sith Empire, the United Clans of Mandalore, the Network, and the Vegemite Empire that Arcanix resurrected through her new Mephit summoning. Trapped within their old armors, they are enslaved to the will of the Sith Lady and now carry out high priority missions for her. As a further punishment, Arcanix had their armors scoured of color or insignia and forbade them from acquiring any new identifying marks.
COMBAT INFORMATION:
  • Unit Size: Small
  • Unit Availability: Rare
  • Unit Experience: Elite
  • Equipment:
    • Weapons
      • Various weapons suited to the individual's proclivities and the mission they have been assigned
    • Armor
    • Other Equipment
      • Various tools and pieces of equipment suited to the individual's proclivities and the mission they have been assigned
    • Starships
  • Combat Function:
    • Because of the ritual that resurrected them, the enslaved Mandalorians retain all their skills and abilities they had before they died. Darth Arcanix has formed them into individual commando units for missions that require a heavier touch than her Adepts, her clandestine forces, or even her more conventional forces such as her army and fleet. Each unit of Vheh'Ramikad are arranged in squads of six, generally with each assigned a role that might rotate depending on their missions. When not deployed, they are forced by Darth Arcanix to stay perfectly still and silent as sentinels, acting like decorative suits of armor, until they might possibly need to respond to a threat.
Strengths:
  • Due to being Mephits bound into armor, they retain all the knowledge and combat training they had in life and as Darth Arcanix only resurrected elite commandos, they are an exceptionally effective fighting force when deployed on missions.
  • Due to being Mephits and basically being possessed suits of beskar armor, they are incredibly hard to deal with in conventional ways. Blasters, slugthrowers, and melee weapons have no effect; lightsabers bounce off the armor and heavy weapons can only do so much damage to beskar at a time.
Weaknesses:
  • If their armor gets destroyed, hard as it might be with beskar, the spirits are ejected and can no longer interact with physical objects except by passing through them.
  • Ysalamir bubbles and void stone fields will permanently banish the Mephit back to the Netherworld, no matter how strong of a binding was placed on it or who it serves.
  • Direct applications of Force Light and other purifying light side techniques can banish the spirit back to the Netherworld. Imbued weapons of the light can also severely harm or banish them.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Ever since the second invasion of Mandalore, or Moridinae as it had been called when the Sith Empire conquered it, Darth Arcanix had earned an everlasting hatred for Mandalorians; specifically, Mandalorians that followed Kaine Australis or had been part of his clan. Australis himself had been dealt with, but Arcanix had vowed that every single individual that had followed the disgraced Warmaster would suffer for what happened to her. In pursuit of that goal, she had created a new spirit summoning ritual to create what she called Mephits. She had decided that death was too good for them.

Visiting the battlefields where the clan had been ground slowly into dust through warfare, Arcanix had resurrected the fallen and bound them within beskar armor. She preferred to use their old armors, if they still existed and had been repaired by her followers, but new suits were also forged from beskar stolen during the strip mining of their homeworld. The newly bound spirits were, understandably, distraught that they had been pulled away from the Manda or Netherworld to be bound in service to their enemy. However, they had no choice in the matter. The ritual that brought them back meant they could not disobey Darth Arcanix's will or orders.

The resurrected spirits were given the designation of the Vheh'Ramikad, or the Dust Commandos, and with their retained combat knowledge, they would be a potent tool for the Lady of Secrets in her plans.
