- Name: Ukaynati Naminis - High Sith for Elixir Familiar
- Designation: Non-sentient
- Origins:
- Average Lifespan: 10 Galactic Standard Years
- Estimated Population: Scattered
- Description: Ukaynati Naminis, or Elixir Familiars, are a new creation of the Sphere of Research and Science for use by the alchemists of the Sith Order. Small in size, the four-armed homunculus familiars are essentially moving bio-generators for their masters to create the potions and elixirs needed for alchemy projects.
- Breathes: Due to the familiar's homunculus nature, they do not require atmosphere to survive.
- Average Height of Adults: 0.65 meters
- Average Length of Adults: N/A
- Skin color: Their typical skin tone is a grayish white, but when they are channeling a substance for their master, veins of different colors will form along their bodies.
- Hair color: No hair
- Distinctions: The most distinctive physical trait of the familiar are its four arms. Much of what sets it apart from other species is internal in nature as reservoir organs contain multiple alchemical potions and substances while it can alter matter it consumes into more of these substances.
- Races: No other races
- Force Sensitivity: All
- Designed to function as a constant supply of elixirs and substances required for Sith alchemy, the creatures innately utilize Art of the Small to break down materials they consume to create new substances a Sith alchemist would need for their experiments, drastically reducing the cost and energy needed for the Sith themselves. The creatures use their four arms in connection with organs within their bodies that act as reservoirs to exude the mixtures into their palms for collection by their Master.
- Created with four surprisingly strong arms, the familiars are good at menial labor tasks such as carrying equipment or other objects for their Masters around a camp or laboratory. They also are surprisingly good climbers.
- The familiars are not designed with combat in mind and can be killed easily, even with a strong enough punch or kick. The creatures, if violence is nearby, will attempt to flee and hide until they deem it safe.
- If they find themselves in a Force nullification bubble or void stone field, the alchemical substances stored within them become inert and the creature cannot do anything with them until they emerge from the bubble or field.
- Diet: Omnivore, although they do not require sustenance to survive. They consume to have materials to break down within their bodies and alter into the desired substance their Masters require.
- Communication: The familiars cannot speak, but they understand commands spoken to them in Galactic Basic and the Sith language.
- Technology level: No technology level
- Religion/Beliefs: No religion or belief system
- General behavior:
- When not called upon by their masters to create something or perform other menial tasks, the familiars keep to themselves. They generally can be found scrounging for materials to eat or bringing some sort of bauble back to the small nests they create in crawl spaces or other small areas that cannot be easily disturbed. The creatures are dutifully loyal to the alchemists that create them, an innate duty born from their homunculus nature, and will follow any commands given to them by their creator.
For a Sith alchemist, sometimes the toughest obstacle to overcome in their experiments is the availability or expense of the ingredients they require. To solve this problem, the alchemists and sorcerers of the Order of Arcane Syn and the Sphere of Research and Science banded together to create a homunculus Sith familiar that can essentially serve as a mobile molecular synthesizer for the elixirs and potions they need.
The new familiar, whose creation rituals were disseminated across Sith-controlled and influenced space, are dutiful, if small, creatures that consume any matter and utilize Art of the Small to break down the molecules and rearrange them to create potions, elixirs, and other ingredients. These substances are then stored within reservoir organs within their bodies and can be channeled down their four arms to be released in their bowl-like palms for collection. Other than this function, the familiars can provide menial labor for the aspiring alchemists in their camps and laboratories, a dutiful servant for their Master's needs.
According to Darth Arcanix, theoretically the creatures could be created by other Force orders such as the Jal Shey or even the Jedi to serve their efforts in imbuement or Alkahest as they are not inherently dark side creatures, but that remains mere speculation at this time.
