Tython: Raid on the Jedi Archives

-Twitch- Lavania continued to chant and allow the green mist to coat the temple... seeping down towards @[member="Velok"] as the ones he had killed twitched. "Choono slalem denni tay'lori olee-ay. Lucheno vadem klavlane. Blenay vedi nalem koreem. Blenay vedi nalem koreem. Villos susko kono lamal! Vlemon tagoo!" The spellweaver focused and took a breathe letting a few of the jedi bar the door while she motioned with her hands. Now she could feel it and -twitch- a fallen padawan shot his hand up a hole in his chest. Another held her blade in her hand while the mist entered their lungs. "Choono slalem denni tay'lori olee-ay. Lucheno vadem klavlane. Blenay vedi nalem koreem. Blenay vedi nalem koreem. Villos susko kono lamal! Vlemon tagoo!" Deep down in the archives more moved and set about. They were giving a great second defense until more arrived, the slain could become defenders in death as they were in life. They could protect the temple and its inhabitants as she spoke again. "Choono slalem denni tay'lori olee-ay. Lucheno vadem klavlane. Blenay vedi nalem koreem. Blenay vedi nalem koreem. Villos susko kono lamal! Vlemon tagoo!"

JEDI TEMPLE

Syn rushed into the doors of the jed temple. The closest to his location and had his sabers ready but there was nothing just... One of the masters who spoke. "Is there a problem master Synlidwirh?" "Where are the sith?" He reached out with his senses and couldn't feel any of them. Six miles of hard running had brought him to a temple full of life. "Master Synlidwirh I am sorry I am afraid the sith are in another temple." With a looked down at her the jedi master breathed deeply walking out and taking off for another cursing for a moment Joshua Dragonsflame for not giving good directions.

Jekk Reth

Defensive Specialist
It seemed that the young Jedi's day was headed for disaster. After a most rigorous training session, he'd decided to lay down in the majestic forests of Tython to meditate on the day's happenings, only to be disrupted by his brand-new Hush-98 commlink. His utility belt had beeped with the message, snapping him out of his trance-like state. Apparently, it originated from Councilor DragonsFlame, of all people. And the information was disturbing, to say the least.

An attack on the Jedi Archives? Here? On Tython? Immediately, Jekk had risen from his meditative position, affording no thought to whom or what had possessed the bravado to perpetrate such an act.

Of course, all that had occurred mere minutes ago, and the young Jedi Knight now found himself at the entrance of the Archives. The sight with which he was met turned his stomach inside out.

The bodies of several Jedi strewn across the floor flooded his vision. The charred husk's smell wafted to his nostrils, and Jekk knelt down for a brief moment, analyzing the corpses. Instantly, Jekk identified the cause of death... Sith sorcery. With one disdainful snort, the Knight once again rose to his feet, intent on finding the person responsible for this travesty.

That would have to wait, however. The sound of battle filled his ears, and Jekk proceeded to the library to intercept the assailants.

As he cautiously jogged towards the door, the Knight naturally reached for his lightsaber, but he wouldn't get the chance to ignite it. The Force bellows from Hion exuded in Jekk's direction especially.

With no warning, the young Jedi was lifted off his feet, and sent flying through the air. The shock wave ripped his lightsaber from his grasp, which crashed against a wall. His body ragdolled for a few seconds, until he finally hit a pillar. Upon impact, Jekk's head snapped back violently, creating a tremendous amount of whiplash. Dazed, he slumped to the ground, seemingly incapacitated.

Valik

Professor of Alchemy
Valik's lips curled as the whale fell to the ground, but quickly averted his action as the whale countered, summoning energy for a Force Enhanced scream. He kneeled to the ground, crossing his arms forward and focusing on the Force to shield him as a some sort of object flew over him, previously on a trajectory towards his skull, and now headed somewhere near the vicinity of Marek S'hadar, but before it could hit anybody it was thrown by the massive wail that was the herglic's pain personified.

He held his ground, wrapping the Force around him in a shield, enhanced by the Valor of @[member="Spencer Jacobs"], the galaxy's best battle meditator, but the Herglic's wail was too strong, and eventually his shield gave, and Valik was thrown to a nearby pillar, slamming the column with his back. With how he slammed the back of his head he'd likely have a headache later, would probably have one now if it wasn't for the efforts of the Empath empowering him, but now he was focused, collecting himself, and seeing and sensing the dark power of Force Drain over the entire temple Vault. With the life energy and strength of the Jedi around him being sapped Valik took this as an opportunity and raised both his arms forwards, hand extend outwards and focused the strength of the Force, empowered by Valor, and telekinetic-ally pulled the remaining holocrons of the vault towards him, entering his pack in clusters, bit by bit.

Hion's eyes remained tightly shut, pain still flaring through him, unaware of the utter havoc he was wreaking upon both friend and foe alike. The side of his robes were charred through, exposing large tracts of burnt blubber beneath. Acrid smoke still rose from the burns. And then it stopped. Forks of lightning no longer danced through his body.

He started to open his eyes, preparing to end his bellow, when a new wave of nausea hit him. Everything went cold and his legs buckled, sending the Herglic to his knees in the midst of a pile of rubble. It felt like the very life was being sucked out of him. As if each second stole a year from his life. And so cold... like diving to the deepest part of Giju's oceans. This was a different kind of pain and it scarred him more deeply than the first. Why wouldn't they stop hurting him?! He just wanted them to leave him alone! Didn't they understand? Leave him alone!

Strength sapped, his enormous hauming bellow transitioned into an unimaginably high shrill of such frequency and volume that it filled the entire Archives with its piercing note, strong enough to burst eardrums and cause an incredible amount of pain as well as sensory disorientation. One might as well have placed their ear next to a podracer engine.

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYK"

Crystalline shards sprayed through the air as glass unbroken by the bellow now shattered.

All of it.

Cirk Voltjak

Jedi Knight, Healer, Protector.
He hear shouting from outside the temple, a frequency he thought was completely unnatural and looked around baffled by what could cause such a noise. He made his way to the temple library but stopped in his tracks as it got louder, dangerously louder and higher pitch. His head was in agony even from this distance so he looked for something to dull his senses. Give him some sort of protection it didnt have to much.

He also noticed that Master Syn was approaching the temple and tried to shout to give him warning about the noise.

@[member="Hion the Herglic"]

Unlike @[member="Valik"] or @[member="Velok"], Marek had to make a shield with his knight level abilities, and without the support of force valor. Almost instantly the energy shield shattered and he was flung back through the archives, smashing through holobookcases and holocrons. As he slammed into the other wall of the room, he weakly lifted a hand before looking up to see several bookcases falling onto him.

For a moment, it was pure darkness, he could see nothing. After a few moments he could see only one thing, red. Rage and anger he'd fought to keep pent up surged free. Using his anger as a fuel Marek drew upon the force and managed to hurl the cases off of him. His eyes searched the room until he spotted Hion. Marek had lost his sabers in the tumble, but lightning was now being emitted from his hands, dancing through the air, he would've killed the whale right there if he'd lost all sense, but he hadn't.

Anger faded as he came to his senses, falling forward onto the ground as the pain of his injuries became to great for him to handle. Cybernetics and bone alike were snapped and broken, the Knight was out of the fight, Hion was on his own.

Ven Balterius

Ven had recovered in time only to have to use the force to shield himself as shard flew towards him. He did his best, managing to stop most of them, but the few that flew by nearly missed flying into some portion of his face.
He dropped his 'force-shield' afterwards and looked to see what had happened. He could see @Hion the Herglic was still in danger and now @[member="Valik"] was trying to steal from the vaults. While Ven wasn't sure what it was, he knew there was some reason the Sith wanted it so badly. Looking about he found a large boulder and pointed both hands towards it. With enough focus he managed to fling it towards Valik before getting to his feet.

Before attacking, Ven saw a saber on the ground. Looking he saw the passed out @Marek S'hadar, figruing it to be his. He knew he'd need everything he could to fight off Valik, and possibly @[member="Velok"], so he quickly used the force to bring it to his free hand.

"Sorry." he said to the passed out Jedi. "I need to borrow this."

Activating both of them, one double-saber in one hand and a single bladed one in the other, Ven gave one final force push towards Valik before rushing forward with both sabers in hand. When he came close enough he swung one blade for his head while the other for his waist, hoping to fatally cut him either way.

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYK"

Oh there was another sound and Leina moved through the fields faster going towards the temple. So much was happening now and she could feel is as she ran. Whatever had happened she raised her head and spoke into the comlink. "Ah this is Leina Snowfire on the surface, we are requesting the Shepard send reinforcements from its fleet to secure the temple. There southern temple is under attack and there are a bunch of darkside energies. Thank you." The twi-lek looked around for the presences in question and slid her saber from the belt. The metalic golden hilt with pictures of animals and rainbows. It activated in a flash of pink then shifted to red and several more. The unstable crystals making containment of the blade disappear to allow sparks to fall like wistie dust. She slid down sneaking the way towards the archives and the largest concentration.

Kei was only just really coming to terms with taking a foot into the temple grounds, he'd barely got his weapons holstered, and away in his bunk. He wasn't a Jedi but he wasn't a coward either. The epicanthix certainly had no idea of what was hitting these good men and women that had taken him in for a night, giving him a hot meal till they could decide what to do with his crew.

He'd have gone sooner, but the shining bruise on his head from a collapsing wall, had knocked him out flat, not only that but he was feeling immensely cold and weaker than usual. Was this the crystal in him? Kei had heard enough, enough people had been calling out in the hallways and made enough of a ruckus that he couldn't just sit here. The warrior blood in him already had him on his feet, and clipping up a blaster or two to the sides of his cargo pants, carbine on his back, strapped across his grey jacket. Someone had already come by and told him not to worry, to just stay put, and then ran off to deal with the other new arrivals, but heck he didn't even know if he was the cause at this point. It wasn't like the bounty hunters would attack a Jedi temple for him, would they?

No time to wait around, some of his crew were here as well, and he wasn't going to be the one letting them down, to just sit like rats in a hole. Setting off through the hallways and the chaos, looking for them and to check in to make sure he wasn't the cause of all of this. Carbine in hand and checking the corners as he moved, he was weary and having real trouble walking through whatever this feeling was, his strength seemed to be just ebbing away.

Josh's march had been disrupted by the sudden bellowing of @[member="Hion the Herglic"], sending the Jedi Councilor flying into a wall. Pain rushed through his body and he gritted his teeth as emotions began to fill in his body... He could sense the death, the corruption... The pain that Hion was going through... It filled his body with emotions that he had to coop up inside... Letting it simmer...

As he slid to the ground, the crystals barely missed him, just impaling the surface right over his head. Shaking the cobwebs out of his head, Josh noticed that @[member="Jekk Reth"] had come to the rescue, just to be knocked unconcious. Then came Cirk, then Gherron. Help was on it's way...

As he got to his feet, he felt a corruption in the force... And that's when he saw it. Jedi, corrupted by the spells of @[member="Val'Ryss Zankarr"]... Attacking their fellow Jedi, their pupils black. The fact that these Sith had corrupted their own Jedi and made sure they'd be killed by their own brethren sent a spark of rage up the body of the Jedi, who again suppressed it, letting it fill the pool of emotion that had been forming. Where the hell was Aleidis? Those thoughts rolled through his mind... @[member="Aleidis Ijet"], she was here, in the Temple... She could put them to sleep. Just long enough for them to finish this fight and get those corrupted Jedi somewhere safe to be cured... But where was she?

His eyes darted around the area, noticing faintly someone, masked doing something with the archives... Worse yet, he could sense it in the air... Battle meditation. He couldn't tell what kind with all the auras in the Force, but he could at least tell it was directed toward the two Sith. Eying @[member="Gherron Vael"] and @[member="Cirk Voltjak"], the Councillor quickly motioned them toward her, whispering "Do not attempt to kill them, it will do you no good. I need you both to distract them, make them defend themself". He knew they likely wouldn't be able to kill her, but she wouldn't be able to hold the Force Valor most likely, nor continue her business with the holocrons if she was forced to defend herself. It would give Josh the opening needed to strike at the two Sith who had started this fight... The buff suddenly leaving would likely leave them shocked and confused enough to give him one.

Josh could feel the remaining effects of Force Drain seep through his body, which he tried to repel using the Force. It wouldn't do much, mind you, but it would keep him standing probably long enough for him to at least mount an attack... He scanned the area, hoping to find the two Sith that were attacking his fellow Jedi... Attacking his true family...

He had looked around fruitlessly for something to block the noise from Hion but noticed that Joshua had gestured him over, keeping low as he didn't want be seen he walked over to the Councillor and bowed his head in respect then noticed the woman taking their holocron data. He bit his tongue as he approached, he could sense that she was much stronger than he was, he was only truly capable in Force Heal and was a fast learner for the Forms but much else was beyond him most of the time.

Unsure what to do he built up a Force Push in the palm of his hand, lifted it up and aimed at the Force Sensitive, releasing it when it grew to a considerable strength. He felt a recoil from his arm, jerking him slightly off balance but with a firm foot back he was able to stand his ground and not lose balance. This was going to be his biggest challenge but he was heading it face on, reckless as always, fool heartedly but determined to stop her at all costs. She would not steal from the Jedi!

Professional Enabler
Velok's Force Drain did not, as it happened, taper off or weaken, even as Padawans fell with bleeding ears. He was farther now than he'd been when Hion bellowed, and similar defensive techniques applied. A touch of crucitorn, some reinforcement to his ears, not a problem. One did not get a critical hit on a free action more than once. Fallen Padawans began to slip into comas or die as the Dark Lord's focus continued.

Not that he really needed focus to sap the lives of Padawans and Knights.

He gestured, and a portion of his stolen energy ripped out the nearest wall, exposing the archives to open air and creating an escape route for @[member="Valik"] and @[member="Val'Ryss Zankarr"]. The pieces of the Darkstaff pulsed in his belt.

The coldness grew numbing and Hion's bellows and shrieks ceased. His vision came back briefly, revealing a ravaged archives, full of piles of rubble and scattered glass. He realized that he had caused this devastation. Horror gripped him and he lost all will to continue fighting, some part of him wishing for death; thinking it an atonement for the destruction he had wrought. He stretched out one flipper toward the scene of chaos, witnessing the brutalization of several padawans, before he slipped into the cold, dark depths of unconsciousness, Force Drain sucking away his very life.

With a last moaning trill, Hion's enormous form collapsed to the ground with a floor-shaking crash.

After throwing the pieces of debris at @[member="Valik"], Daella slowed down as @[member="Velok"] used Force Drain on the entire room. Eventually, Daella came to a stop and braced herself. Her body shook as @[member="Hion the Herglic"] bellowed. The force of Hion’s voice pushed her slightly back. Slowly, Daella’s eyes narrowed to the point that she squinted. Only a sliver of her black pupils managed to slip through her eyelids.

As Hion began to fell to the ground and @[member="Ven Balterius"] charged toward Valik, Daella picked up her feet and began to encircle Valik as well. Her teeth gnawed down on her lower lip as she made her approach. She got close to the ground the closer she got to Valik.

Timing her move so that she would reach Valik at the same time Ven did, Daella made one last burst toward the Sith. Reaching out with her right hand, Daella attempted to seize Valik’s pack - which the Sith Lord had been filling with holocrons. She clearly intended to rip the bag away from Valik and take it.

Her ears rang from the Force Bellow, closing her eyes she protected the data with her body as she continued to download. Things were full and she moved on quickly filling other data pads and pocketing holocrons. It was then she felt a shift in the force, the woman looked over her shoulder and spotted a Knight coming towards her in an attempt to stop her. Her fingers pressed against the mask, the last thing she needed was someone recognizing a Republic Ally aiding the Sith. Spencer had no sides – her only loyalty remained with her Master. Feeling the force move, quickly shielded her with the force protecting her from his force push. Her footing slid back slightly and she cursed under her breath. She didn’t want to fight, but so be it.

There was an escape and she didn’t need to fight, but a fool needed a lesson. In her hand she quickly formed small spears of midnight black, the woman preferred the dart size compared to the larger constructs most used. Throwing them at the Knight she quickly turned and pulled one of the heavy shelves of the archives with Telekinesis in an attempt to crush those near the Knight along with providing Velok and Valik a moment to escape. Twitching her nose she smelled the stench of her great [x800yrs] grandmother. Of course she would be here…

“Learn to open up with something other than Force Push, go to Eshan and meet the leader there – she’ll teach you something of worth – well if you survive this of course”

Valik

Professor of Alchemy
Valik continued hoarding holocrons into his pack as the Herglic unleashed another, differing bellow. Focusing the Force to shield his ears and aided by the the Force Valor of Spencer Jacobs he mostly shielded his ears, though he had quite the bit of ringing echoing through him. Still, his senses in the Force were higly attuned, with Valik easily sensing the two padawans both charging towards him. He ripped his hands towards his side, and using the Force pushed himself out of the two Jedi's path at the last possible second. His holocron's safe, @[member="Daella Apparine"] timing her attack to match the other padawan's perfectly, @[member="Ven Balterius"] using an impossibly complex method of attack that was best reserved to cheesy holovids, well, chances were they were both getting stabbed or sliced by Ven Balterius's lightsaber.

Popping a Kolcta Geltab though the breathmask of his Kel Dor disguise he offered one to the Whiphid @[member="Velok"].

"If you're staying I'll help you take a few more, blondie if you like, but if you'd prefer me secure the goods I can head out. What do you prefer?"

Once @[member="Valik"] leaped away, Daella dove for the ground. Since she was keeping her body low to the ground as she rushed for Valik’s bag, this took less than a moment to achieve. If @[member="Ven Balterius"] continued with his intended attack, one of his lightsabers would have swung just above Daella as it was aimed for the waist of a Sith Lord more than half a foot taller than the girl.

After sliding several feet, Daella quickly got back up. She continued to squint her eyes and had them locked on Valik. She slipped the pointed piece of debris from her left hand to right. Then just as Valik began to talk to @[member="Spencer Jacobs"], Daella took a step forward and threw the debris as hard as she could.

Zipping across the air, this time the sharp piece of debris took a path toward Valik’s stomach - threatening to lodge itself within him if it could.
