Tython: Raid on the Jedi Archives

(OOC: I have returned to the Jedi, I am hoping me joining is alright? I will play this as I went "soul searching")

Loran had recently went on a peace filled journey and sabbatical from the Jedi Order that lasted a few months but as he always thought over the Order he had joined as a child, he was having issues focusing on his studies and so he decided to leave the order until he could find his path in life. As he did find his path he started to roam for peace and this took time, but he got help and received further training as a shaolin monk in the farthest reaches of the galaxy and found absolution... Now he is finally able to return to the Jedi Order but for some reason he is called to the Jedi homeworld by the currents of the light side.

His instruction in the shaolin arts made for a more calmer state of being and helped him to reconnect with the light side, he found peace of mind and even did some aggressive-intensive training regiments that provided for more muscle and tonement on his body but also a more cleaner and happier soul, as he arrived in his freighter that he was gifted by the monks he had come to Tython for a simple reason, his Jedi brethren were in danger and being the Jedi he is he couldn't help but want to put a stomping on the fools that dared endanger his own kind.

His ship made it through the check points once they realized he was a fellow padawan and seen his jedi credentials and he made his way into the planet, even now he can sense the dark side on the planet and boy it is strong, but one thing is for sure...Loran missed his master @[member="Syn"].

A sonorous hum rumbled from Hion. The blue blade of his greatsaber met Velok's green. There was a light zzap as they connected, but it was merely a touch on Velok's part. The wily Whiphid had more than a hundred years of knowledge, while Hion was only in his thirties. Even so, the Dark Sider was attempting to match Hion pound for pound with the Form of the Krayt dragon, Hion's own form. And while the Whiphid had a full foot on Hion, the Herglic outweighed him by at least three hundred pounds. And, when it was all said and done, Djem So was about raw kinetic energy, pure physical power.

Gripping his saber tightly with both hands, Hion's blubbery features contorted. His arm was broken and it hurt. But he met the Whiphid's next blow with a parry. It would have been more effective had not a sudden, unseen power tried to rip Hion's feet out from under him. Fortunately, he was quite fat. He slid sideways, both feet firmly planted.

Dark power radiated from both of Hion's foes and the Herglic's expression grew grim. Immersing himself in the ocean of the Force, Hion let serenity flow through him, calmly accepting death as a natural part of life. Opening his jaw, Hion sent a quick, short bellow toward @[member="Valik"] - enough to knock the wind out of him - then quickly advanced on @[member="Velok"]. Hion struck hard, bringing his blade around in a cross-body cut at the Whiphid's right shoulder, before following it up with a dolorous overhand blow toward the head, straight downward, with enough force to drive a human into the ground like a tent peg.

Blue eyes opened.

With several coughs, Daella awoke in a dim room. She seemed to struggle to catch a breath between the dry heaves. Rope had been wrapped tightly around her arms at the waist. She laid beside a group of Padawans she would have recognized. None of them awoke with her. Master Adok, who lead an expedition to Ilum with a group of Padawans, was nowhere to be seen.

Once Daella ceased to choke, she resolved to escape from her situation. Pulling toward her head, Daella attempted to get her right arm out of the rope. Several audible cracks sounded off in the quiet room as Daella twisted her shoulder beyond what was normal for a human. Her eyes widened and teeth grimaced. She hissed loudly until she managed to release her arm, which promptly flopped onto the ground.

Possibly a minute passed as Daella panted in both exhaustion and pain. Sweat dripped from her face. After her pause, Daella rocked her upper body back so that she was upright. As she stood up, the rope that had been tied around her dropped to the ground. Her shoulder remained a disjointed mess. Her left arm reached over and grasped her right shoulder. In an instant, she pushed it back into place. Her eyes closed shut as she bore her teeth and released a small shrill.

Still with heavy breath, Daella walked out of the room to discover that she remained on the ship that had taken her to Ilum. She grazed her hands across her belt to discover that she did not possess her training saber – as unfortunate as it was to still have one despite visiting Ilum twice. Upon exiting the starship, which was the same one that Velok used to infiltrate Tython, Daella looked up to see a bright blue sky and massive Jedi Temple before her. She easily noticed the temperate forests in the distance.

There was no welcome party for Daella. No one stood nearby to notice her exit from the ship. Uninhibited, Daella continued forward and entered the temple from the dock's entrance. She took heavy steps as if still exhausted by her escape and forced sedation. Her right arm also drooped to the side – with her sure to be swollen right shoulder covered by her typical white hoodie.

As she traversed the halls of the temple, Daella never once sought for directions. The Temple shook as @[member="Hion the Herglic"] bellowed at @[member="Velok"]. It seemed to give Daella just enough guidance.

Eventually, Daella reached the Archives. Hion and Velok already engaged in battle with @[member="Valik"] pocketing a holocron. She glared at the Sith – her eyes narrowing on them with a glint of teeth showing. A crack rang out as she lifted up her right elbow and pulled her arm back to stretch it. She flexed her right arm as if it was already ready to use in a fight.

Despite not having a weapon and being notoriously weak in alter Force moves, Daella assumed a ready stance for unarmed combat. She raised her arms up and curled her hands into a fist. She did not charge into the fight, though, especially with Hion making his own attacks against both Sith.

Valek was here for one reason, he wanted to see if he was force sensitive so after getting a ride on the shepard he had been brought to the world to be tested. Now the potential padawan walked hearing the things going on while he spied others in the temple moving. From the outside he looked ov not going after the jedi who were fighting the one in old rags. He was not going to run into death just yet.

As Ven kept running towards the source of the large roar he'd passed the remains of the Jedi who'd been killed by @Val'Ryss Zankarr. The sight of the bodies, all horrible to look at, both saddened and angered him. While he did not know who did this he wanted to be there when he brought them to justice for this atrocity.

Another loud roar snapped his mind back to finding the source of the distress. Quickly he ran onward, picking up the pace a little as he did. Eventually he found himself in the same room as @[member="Velok"] and @[member="Valik"] did battle with @Hion the Herglic, @Daella Apparine standing nearby. He took a moment to soak in the sight, seeing a great Jedi Knight like Hion taking on two Sith, both very powerful given how strong Ven could sense the dark side in them. While he knew he likely did not stand a chance against either of them Ven could not stand by and watch while Hion fought alone.

With a deep breath Ven activated his double-saber, the green blades shining, before he charged into the battle. He went for Valik, jumping into the air to bring his saber down on the Sith's head. If that failed he would land and fight him at close combat, just long enough to give Hion a chance to finish Velok if needed. He could tell Hion was a powerful Jedi, but how powerful remained to be seen.

Leaping down behind the whiplid that was @[member="Velok"], was a lone Jedi Knight, reformed from Sith. He held two sabers, each in a reverse grip, the right was an emerald green, the left a cobalt blue. There was no hesitation as Marek stepped forwards and slashed into Velok's back, attempting to cut the man down.

Marek knew the massive being, well, knew of him. He'd heard quite a lot about the whiplid growing up on Korriban, many things that he did fascinated the young Marek. They weren't good things, but they interested him nonetheless. During his time in the Inquisiton, Velok had been someone he'd watched closely, to the best he could. But none of that mattered now, he had to help @[member="Hion the Herglic"].

Valik

Professor of Alchemy
So many things happening at once. The Herglic didn't seem to trip or even stumble as the Alchemist intended, but instead shifted his feet and blocked the whiphid's blow, before throwing a quick force-enhanced belch at Valik. Sadly, just as the Sith Lord didn't seem strong enough to trip the whale, neither was the weak Jedi Knight's quick belch able to throw the Sith Lord.

Two other presences entered the room, and he could feel a third coming for Velok, but he had other issues to deal with at the moment. @[member="Ven Balterius "]had tried a jumping strike, aimed to Valik's head with a double bladed lightsaber which seemed a little counter intuitive for a vertical strike, but whatever. Valik stepped a bit to the side, the lightsaber narrowly missing his ears and then burning through his robes before it had a full stop at his armor, a piece that could probably survive a turbolaser blast. The Armor did however, transfer quite a bit of heat so his shoulder singed, leaving a rather nice burn and lack of hair on his skin. In return Valik he thrust his fist forward towards the Zabrak, in a punch that was really just a medium for a Force Push, which provided he didn't have some sort of unnatural protection from telekinesis would hurl him towards the other Jedi @[member="Daella Apparine"]. Talk about killing two birds with one stone.

With the two padawans dealt with, at least for a fleeting moment, Valik turned towards @[member="Hion the Herglic"] and took his left palm and began shooting a streak of Sith Lightning at the legs of the aquatic creature, and then after a seconds delay took his right palm and extended it towards the Herglic, this time aiming for the Whale's upper right of the back of the whale's torso. If he averted his attack on Velok and quickly spun around to block Valik's first assault of lightning with his saber he wouldn't be able to block the second, not without some extremely quick and skilled maneuvering, which he supposed the large Herglic could possess, but he wasn't betting on it.

Once @[member="Valik"] attempted a Force push on @[member="Ven Balterius"], Daella pushed off her left foot and moved to the right. She dipped her shoulder and did a barrel roll. If Ven ended up flying backwards, then Daella would have avoided being hit by his body. As she got back up on her feet, she grasped two shards of durasteel. Earlier, @[member="Velok"] had shattered the Archive vault's door with a Force bellow. Its debris had been scattered all throughout the area and Daella just managed to pick up two pieces of it.

As Valik attack @[member="Hion the Herglic"] with Force lightning, Daella took one step toward the Sith Master with her right foot. She then quickly spun her body clockwise for one full rotation. At the end of her spin, she threw the piece of debris in her right hand at Valik. It had a pointed end much like an arrow – and it flew straight for Valik's head.

Then, Daella began to ease toward Valik – taking just a couple steps as if waiting for Hion or Ven to make a move.

Mere minutes before Velok Landed: Silent Conclave, Teth

It was night on Teth, and within Turin's quarters it was cool. But something stirred from within the small, square room. Turin tossed and turned, the Force deciding that now was the time for him to know. Know something terrible was happening again. His body heated up and began to sweat, the white t-shirt clinging to his skin. A groan escaped pursed lips as a tight fist formed in his sword hand.

The vision was intense, he could see everything, though a thick, dark cloud obscured his vision. He seemed to be watching out of someone's own vision. Whatever he was looking through, it was large. He took a step and suddenly he was within what seemed like a library. The large Hion greeted the creature. He wanted to shout, to tell him of the darkness that he was allowing to walk past him. But he couldn't. It felt as if he was in a fishbowl, watching events unfold and that the darkness that clouded his vision was also chocking out any sound he could hope to make.

As the large being entered a dark room, the darkness obscured his vision even more as his view changed to that of an omnipresent being. He watched as a Whipid used the Force to grab some strange item, the item banishing the false light from his body. The whipid erupted into flame, a hungry flame that quickly became a sickening shade of green and with its hunger growing, consumed all that was in sight. The only thing left?

The whipid's yellow eyes. As hungry and evil as the ones in his most recent vision.

Turin awoke with a start, gasping for air, falling from his bed. Maybe it was another bad dream, but it felt so real...

From his current stance, stepping in with his left and planting his feet was a nice simple way to reinforce the vertical block that caught Hion's swing. The block wavered, almost broke, and then Velok had to go for a high horizontal block, the Force enhancing the strength of his wrists, spine, and associated other body parts. Hion's blow drove his clawed feet through the tiles, and he used that as leverage to whirl and intercept Marek's attempt at backstabbery. As any old duellist could tell you, the number one best way to die against Jedi was to let them get you between them. A long sidestep made that no longer the case; his sabre flickered at Hion's face, then chopped down at Marek's guard. Reverse-guards didn't have the leverage to face Djem So, in many cases. With luck, his sabre would crash through Marek's defense and take the arm.

He had to react fast, not doing so would cost him in arm. At a blinding speed Marek brought over his other blade, crossing his arms and catching @[member="Velok"]'s saber with both of his. The initial force, forced his hips to sink and knees to bend, but soon the cybernetics laced throughout his system kicked in. Letting out a low growl, he forced himself back up into a standing position. He was fighting a war on two fronts now, one against this monster, and the other against himself, keeping his anger in check as he fought the massive whiplid. @[member="Hion the Herglic"] was his best hope right now, if he didn't move in fast, things would get…electric.

The Weaponmaster peeked into the room as he arrived, scouting the problem... His eyes widened as he saw what seemed to be two Sith attacking the archives, raiding and by the looks of it stealing them. They were fighting with Padawans, Knights and the guardian of the archives. His eyes scanned over the dead bodies of the (Apparent NPC) Jedi who had been killed.

"Shoot..." the Council's Weaponmaster muttered to himself as he got out his commlink, dialing up his fellow Councilor, Syn... Who he knew was on the planet, but wasn't sure where.

"Syn... This is Councilor DragonsFlame. We have an emergency" he said quietly. "There are Sith, Masters by their signatures... Attacking the Tython Jedi Temple, by the looks of it raiding the archives. Several Jedi are dead, and our numbers for fighting them are low. I'm about to engage now" he said, before sending messages to several other Jedi he knew, before turning off the commlink as he made his way in.....

Finally, the fighting was interrupted by a statement coming from the entance, a hush going through the room as...

"I think that's quite enough" rang through the room firmly, yet calmly as Jedi Council Member Josh DragonsFlame stood at the entrance, lightsaber in hand. The dark blue blade shined bright as it hummed dangerously. His brown eyes looked determined, unforgiving...

Josh stared a hole through the two Sith Masters, @[member="Velok"] and @[member="Valik"]. The moment would give the others a chance to attack the two Sith Masters while they were distracted, as the Weaponmaster walked toward them, his knuckles white as one clenched hard against the pommel of his drawn lightsaber, the other clenched and ignited with a white hot surge of flames....

Things were about to get serious...

Nimir-ra to Iella, Jedi Shadow
IN A CAVE SIX MILES AWAY

The comlink chirped as Syn remained very still, Arya had him focusing on being cloaked and then it chirped again sending him crashing down to land on the ground. The channel opened and he heard the news letting for a moment his head take it in. The jedi master rose as he looked in the distance... Towards the temple... which temple? Well each would hold stuff but he was guessing the great temple. -ONE MORE THING- WHACK The Fallanassi whacked him on the head before going back to her position in the cave. She and Iella could remain out here and be under cover of the white current. Hell he could remain here and right now he had less of choice. No matter what... He wasn't going to get there quickly even at full speed with the force, his natural speed and well he wasn't going to do it. So he took off to cover the six miles with as much speed as he could.

Hion could have sworn things were already serious. They certainly felt serious as his greatsaber managed to nearly pound Velok in the ground, only to have the formidable duelist successfully counter both Hion and @[member="Marek S'hadar"]. A sudden flash of danger rolled through the Force like a wave and Hion let it carry him, whirling his bulk not ungracefully to intercept a blast of lightning from @[member="Valik"] directed at his legs, flicking his saber downward at the wrist so that it pointed vertically downward, hilt up. The lightning hissed and crackled as it fed into his saber, illuminating the rubble-strewn Archives with a flickering blue hue.

Again, that wave of danger alerted Hion and he caught Velok's counter attack from the corner of his eye, whipping toward his face. Again, Hion's saber swept up as Hion rotated his wrist, his arm unmoving, so that the great, blue blade came up at a diagonal slant across his body, the tip just barely catching Velok's stroke. Hion continued the motion of his wrist, turning @[member="Velok"]'s blade aside as the Herglic sidestepped to the left, attempting to put the Whiphid between himself and Marek once more.

Suddenly, pain.

The alarm in the Force came to late as danger was all around him. He heard the lightning as it sizzled through the air, striking him in the side. Robes charred and blubber blackened as the cascade of blue tendrils seemed like a thousand lances in his flesh. Hion stumbled backward, away from Velok, nearly tripping over rubble. Pain blinded his eyes and he squeezed them shut, feeling only the knives digging into him, causing his whole body to shudder. He could feel the stench of his body burning, nauseating. It was all too much. He just wanted the pain to stop! Someone had to make it stop! He poured all his pain and hurt and rage into a bellow, drawing the Force into him as he became the ocean of wrath. Trying to hurt the little person who had done this to him! To squash him!

"HAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM!"

The bellow cut through the air like a reckless scythe, heedless of friend or foe. Shelves blew to pieces, datacases shattered as the shockwave screamed through the air, a constant, concentric stream from his mouth with enough force to splinter bone and rupture organs. Hion kept his eyes shut until it was all over, until the pain went away.

Cirk Voltjak

Jedi Knight, Healer, Protector.
He had been so far away from the temple, he opened his eyes after hearing his datapad bleep with an alert, he found himself in the Tython forest, he touched a tree trunk briefly feeling the Living Force and sighs. Looks at his datapad, he blinks, the message was from his former Master, who he hadnt been in contact with for too long...

He read the message and growled low, there were Sith in the temple! He ran as quickly as he could, he needed to get to the temple, he needed to save as many innocent lives as he could.

Gherron ran up to his master, having noticed the intense activity going on. Upon seeing the dead Jedi, his eyes widened, even more when he saw the sith standing before them. "i guess this is the time to put what you taught me to test, huh?" He drew his pale blue lightsaber and took a stand next to the knight.

Lavania moved in the temple, she could hear the bellows and the commotion. There was very few things one could do when under attack but her nightsister nature came to mind. There was plenty she could do but it would take time and quickly she ran off popping the top of the spirit ichor while sliding into a room. The doors being closed behind her. The green mist seeping out to her hands then sent out the window. There were few spells that could go about this so she spoke waiting a moment. Time was all she needed."Choono slalem denni tay'lori olee-ay. Lucheno vadem klavlane. Blenay vedi nalem koreem. Blenay vedi nalem koreem. Villos susko kono lamal! Vlemon tagoo!"

Having her plans rushed was never something Spencer enjoyed, the woman worked slowly and precisely though it seemed that Velok had a time frame all of his own. Cursing she moved from the Peregrine and headed towards the archives. A few data pads remained inside of her robes, she had planned to download the entire archive and leave it alone, but no some people enjoyed the chaos. Pausing for a moment, Spencer looked around her. The planet felt the wars of old once more on its surface. The ground quivered with the unbalance and the shift of too many light side auras floating about. Sighing softly, she decided to use the Sith charm around her neck and scramble herself. The last thing she wanted was someone pointing her out.

Reaching into her small pack, she removed the mask she wore while she was with the Fringe. The disguise pressed against her face and she was now almost invisible to those who would recognize her. Moving once more she slipped into the archives pulling out two of the datapads she headed towards the chaos. Low and behold Velok and Valik stood in the middle of a dogpile. Taking this opportunity she started to plug some of the other data pads into her own and began the transferring. Grabbing a couple of the holocrons that were on display, she shoved them into her bag and then looked towards the pair.

Two Sith Masters against a few Padawans and Knights, the boys should be able to handle it, but feeling a bit guilty she decided to give a little bit of her help. Taking in a deep breath she focused her mind on the force. Her influence spreading towards the two Sith and empowering them with Force Valor. Keeping herself attached, she continued to plug in another data pad and begin to download more of the archive data.

Val'Ryss had wandered for some time. She had reached the long corridor that lead to the Jedi temple's archives. The dark shadow lingered in the hallway. She could sense the violence and struggle that was going on in the archives. Val'Ryss smiled. Such an effort would be too mcuh for her, besides, she enjoyed the more "shadow" approach. As she watched and sensed the fight, she continued to conjure her dark spell under her breathe. It was ready. Now she just needed some fools. "Odjinya Je'daii. Odjinya Je'daii. Odjinya Je'daii. Odjinya Je'daii. Odjinya Je'daii. Odjinya Je'daii." her dark whispers recited. More and more jedi were flooding the area searching for what they could do or what they had to expel. A couple ran up behind Val'Ryss. They called out to her and demanded she stop what ever she was doing. Val'Ryss slowly turned and began to approach them. Her boots echoed in menacing tocks as she came closer. All the while her dark whispers began to surround the two. "Odjinya Je'daii. Odjinya Je'daii. Odjinya Je'daii. Odjinya Je'daii. Odjinya Je'daii. Odjinya Je'daii." The jedis tried to reach for their sabers. But it was already too late. Raising both her hands a dark web of energy and consumed their minds. The spell was now passed onto them and soon on the rest. Her web could only grow stronger and further.

Stepping in between the two possessed jedi she began to spoke a separate dark speech. Ancient, malevolent, that burned with a venomous poison at each syllable spoken. "Yas'Krakül, Je'daii. Kots Je'daii. Ugrah'Hin necrokam." As her words finished the two jedis, now with eyes blackened into dark orbs, unleashed their sabers and ran into the corridor with the express intention to kill all the light-sided beings inside, to attack from behind. The jedi possessed had warped into inhuman creatures, with heightened speed and greater violence in their skill, they would become berserker of her design. As they ran off, Val'Ryss unleashed her dark-side taint, the same taint she used many times to choke the force out of beings around her. The dark-side poison cloud that drifted in the force began to assault the nearby jedi. Val'Ryss cackled in maniacal bouts, "HisssssssisssissssissssssahahahahahahahahahaAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!" Her light whip hissed and cracked into life and then the slaughter had began. Her dark presence over the temple would soon be felt in force, but first she needed ingredients, blood and flesh and the jedi here woudld supply it. Now doubt such a monstrous act would break a rift of pain into the force.

As his sabre warded away Marek S'hadar's assault, the Dark Lord's instincts spoke to him. And as Hion drew breath, the galaxy's second most prolific wielder of Force Bellow set about wrapping himself in the energies and patterns of thought to protect himself from the more organ-pulping aspects of overpressure. Such efforts were bolstered by Spencer's Force Valor, considerably.

He still went flying, Hion's blast striking him with bruising force. He skidded through the archives, accumulating wounds as he tumbled over bits of duracrete and broken holocrons. The immense Whiphid rolled to his feet as his protection dissipated. He eyed the distance between himself and the immense numbers of Knights and Padawans.

He could work with distance.

Area-of-effect Force Drain rolled out from him with the hunger that Nihilus had used to consume worlds. He was no Nihilus, but insofar as he had specialties this was one of them. Every Knight and Padawan in the Archives would experience immense cold and weakness as their life forces began to drain away. Focusing on, say, pyrokinesis would prove difficult.
