- Easy to Use: Designed to catch winds on the world and transport from point to point. The skiff is a marvel of easy to use technology for the people. When there is no winds or they aren't not the right direction repulsors can be used to guide it like a normal speeder.
- Advanced Systems: Designed with several notable systems installed on the shipsto improve their capabilities and turn the jedi into a needed operational fighter.
- Laminanium: Designed like a Quellian ship the hull of the orbital platforms has a thin layer of the material to improve repairs and over time depending on the amount of damage it is able to patch itself up.
- Sleg: A powerful energy enhancer, the sleg absorbs and channels the excessive heat generated by the chassis of the speeder. Making them maintain a stronger level of power but also increases the chances that they could explode from the heat.
- Built in power source: Designed with its own internal power source that is long lasting but it is largely able to power the armor and systems of the vehicle but when damaged it is highly explosive.
- Gravity: The advanced thrusters of the vehicle require gravity to function at full efficiency. Without it there can't counter gravity to get speed or thrust for the high speed movement.
- Maneuverability: While designed for speed, the ability for it to turn and correct itself is slow. The length and rudder ski is prine to fishtailing. The open cargo area means things can become jostled and loose... there is also the lack of defensive means for the ship.
- Self Repairing: Built with a protective layer to patch the vehicle in the event of damage. The time table is dependent upon the amount of damage with smaller tears being easier and faster to repair then gashes which can take hours to reform.
- Note: Only the layer can repair not the full plate armor itself the plating can be damaged still but the underlayer of Laminanium can reform and remain.
Designed based on an old Atrisian design, the skiff was made for the large snow fields to the north and is still in use there. Adopting and adapting it for use in other regions it was given repulsor lifts to replace animals and a sail that could be used for catching the wind as needed. With a little more length added to it and a convertable cargo area that can be used to eithe hold equipment or more people. There wsn't much else to it, from the deserts to the snowy fields and even for island hopping between the southern isles. THe skiffs were given better use with most of the starships and shuttles being moved off of the plane tot he Anshin. Like the airships that were set up to reduce radiations on the world and let the air purifiers clean the air of the planet while restoration efforts continue forward.
As with many of the other works the skiff was given an overhaul.. upgrading the frame for its design and adding a little in the way of defensive measures.. it was also given some minor weapons allowing it to protect itself. With advanced systems for communications and miniturized set ups to allow one to survive with the skiff they can also use it to move and transport small teams across areas without raising much attention. The profile is low to the ground and the repulsors allow it to function without the sail though it is a lot more stylish... slightly improved framework allows it to repair itself and maintain itself under harsher conditions like the snow or desert or even be used to island hop for several of the Atrisian archipelagos.
