TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
STANDARD FEATURES
  • Designed to be a fast long-range patrol corvette able to engage from long-range and be built in large numbers (relative to its status as a minor faction warship).
  • Three large and powerful thrusters, one centrally-mounted, and the other two being on the wings providing excellent power for pursuing smugglers.
  • Bridge is mounted in the bow with a dedicated ray shield protecting it and the accompanying pair of fire control computers in a room behind it. This bridge is the battle station of the captain. There's an auxiliary bridge two decks down and further astern with all the necessary gear to command the ship with the remaining two fire control computers to the port and starboard of it.
  • Its point defense guns are placed to have fully enclosing the ship with overlapping fields of fire.
  • A fortified extendable docking collar in the stern of the ship below the main sublight engine.
  • A fairly-comfortable ship for its crew, the crew is able to be kept aboard without much of a problem to crew morale or effectiveness.
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Maintains the same redundancy of power generation of most Crossroads Republic ships, with all two SBRA-24 Fusion Reactors are interlinked with all systems, and any reactor is able to provide power to any system on the ship, they are placed in two neighboring areas of the ship next to the two engines and can easily handle the power needs of the ship quite easily.
  • The ship's resistance to boarding attempts is quite substantial thanks to internal heavy repeating blaster cannon autoturrets concentrated in the hallways which access the ladders and turbolifts to the ship's large number of decks. Has numerous internal security measures such as ray shields and numerous cameras and internal sensors.
  • The ship is built from three relatively-small sections, the bow and the two wings, making it easy to build en masse.
  • Excellent fire-control for its weapons, can engage as many targets as it has guns thanks to the computing power of its fire control computers.
  • Maintains the same level of well-designed damage-control systems with large numbers of ray shields and fire-fighting foam dispensers in all spaces of the ship with large amounts of the material stored aboard along with staged fire-fighting equipment, breathing apparatus lockers, and redundant back-ups for all kinds of systems with overlapping fields of responsibility.
  • Powerful sensor systems able to detect most contraband down to some very small sizes or through most countermeasures, as well as conducting mine clearance duties.
STRENGTHS
  • Very fast, an excellent patrol ship meant to run down smugglers and blockade runners.
  • Long-range heavy guns and missiles, designed to engage from a range that offers a modicum of safety.
  • Maneuverable, able to match most potential smuggling ships with relative ease.
  • Can be used for mine-clearance.
WEAKNESSES
  • Small, a heavy hit from a large weapon can completely shatter the ship.
  • Short-range, not able to conduct patrols within a parsec of its home base or a support ship.
  • Small crew, not going to fight off an enemy boarding attempt with the crew alone.
  • Not designed to engage in large-scale battles, its fragile is built for speed, not for taking hits.
DESCRIPTION
Another addition to the Crossroads Republic Fleet's new model fleet along with being a civilian agency ship, used by customs enforcement and police agencies to take the pressure off of the Fleet's local patrol duties. Customs enforcement ships are painted in green and white and are staffed by specially-trained personnel and agents. Police ships are painted a light blue and white, staffed by similarly-trained personnel, and perform similar duties as the customs ships. Both of those subclasses are differentiated only by having searchlights, sirens, red and blue flashing lights which are turned on when the ship is in pursuit of a suspect ship. The vessel is quite capable of being used in atmosphere with great efficiency, and is often support for ground-side searches or is staged at spaceports in the event that a ship might attempt to flee from. Fleet-owned ships are dedicated anti-piracy ships and patrol ships, dedicated to patrolling around the area of their home system and in patrols around as specialist corvette hunters and escorts to support units.
