    • Multi-spectral scanners (Thermal, IR, Visual, Ultraviolet, and Motion Detectors with a 360 degree field of detection around the droid.)
    • Powerful holo-recorder in the face (This is the visible "eye" in the center of the sphere)
    • Flight control instrumentation and avionics for rapid and accurate fire and maneuver
    • Optical and laser range-finders.

  • Deflector shield for countering most hand-held blasters and some light explosives.
  • Command and control links to provide real-time imagery to any CRAF personnel with access to the military network.
  • Incendiary self-destruct system which activates and burns the droid from the inside out if the droid is disabled and in danger of capture.
STRENGTHS
  • Fast and accurate movements provide an ideal CQB platform and an elusive target from afar.
  • Excellent detection capabilities.
  • Can fly at fairly high altitude.
  • Can coordinate with others of its kind to perform much larger sweeps.
  • Powerful weapons and shields mean this droid can tear into infantry or battle droids if it catches them.
  • Protected against ion weapons by its armor and shields.
  • Can be dispatched in interplanetary pods like Imperial Probe Droids to recon other planets in an economical manner.
WEAKNESSES
  • Rather large and heavy, meaning it is a bigger target and not very stealthy.
  • Needs specialized maintenance facilities due to its sensitive mechanics and computer systems.
  • Its weapons are powerful, and therefore prone to causing excessive collateral damage.
  • The rear of the craft possesses the power packs for the HOB/F's, which are prone to detonation if the armor plate (Which is weaker than the other sections) is penetrated.
  • Lacks manipulating arms to retrieve items.
  • Lacks data spikes or terminals to assist in opening doors or withdrawing intelligence from enemy computer systems.
  • Weapons cannot train on targets right up next to its body, it requires some space in order to engage.
DESCRIPTION
A powerful weapons platform meant to serve two primary functions: Security and assist in Military Operations in an Urban Environment (MOUT). This droid also serves a secondary purpose of tactical reconnaissance for a company-level unit, with each Crossroads Republic Army infantry, armored, and mechanized company being assigned eight such droids for assisting in performing forward reconnaissance, sweeping for mines, IED's, and potential snipers and anti-tank teams. This is not a droid meant to, or capable of engaging heavily armored vehicles unless some enterprising individual re-arms it and reprograms it to use such a weapon that can handle armored targets. This craft is also assigned in quite some numbers to Crossroads Defense Industries facilities and government facilities as lethal first-line security, often patrolling menacingly around their assigned perimeters and inside the facilities themselves as a reminder to the workers that they are being looked-after and safe, as well as discouraging potential saboteurs and spies. RPer's are advised that this droid IS NOT the almost-invincible drone from Oblivion, however it does move and fire in a similar manner, but it is far more destructible. Another note, this droid does not have the intelligence to really hold a conversation, although their attempts to do so can be rather entertaining as the droid only contains a certain number of phrases in its memory banks.
