The soft white light of Eshan's afternoon filtered through the narrow windows of the enclave, casting faint golden streaks across the marble floor of Eve's office. She stood before her desk, smoothing her robe down with the palms of her hands for the third time in as many minutes. The gesture was needless, she knew — her robe was already neat, her silver hair carefully tied back — but it gave her something to do while her thoughts aligned.

This was her first public class. Not as a Padawan sitting cross-legged before her Master. Not as a student fumbling to understand. But as Knight and overseer of Snowpeak Sanctuary, responsible for the guidance of others.

Her breath caught once, then steadied. She let it flow out slowly, gathering her resolve like she had so many times before. This, too, was part of her path.

Isari padded softly at her heels, silver eyes watchful and warm. With a final exhale, Eve turned, her stride carrying her down the marbled corridors of the enclave. The stone was pale, almost luminous in its polish, and the silence of the halls was broken only by the soft echo of her boots. She passed pillars and flowing tapestries, the sense of the sanctuary's newness mingling with something much older. Tradition, memory, and the weight of what it meant to build anew on her homeworld. Here, she would carry on the legacy of her home, her training and the Order, even as the rest of the galaxy may continue to fall apart.

* * *

The meditation hall awaited her. Its wide expanse of pale stone was touched with natural light, cushions spread in a loose semicircle at the centre. A small gathering had already arrived, Padawans with restless energy, younglings sitting cross-legged but fidgeting, one or two older students standing by the wall with arms folded, waiting.

Eve paused at the threshold, drew one more quiet breath, and then stepped inside. Her voice was soft but sure.

"Thank you for waiting."

She crossed to the front of the hall, her presence settling over the group. Isari slipped to the side and curled near the first row of cushions. Eve cleared her throat lightly and allowed her gaze to pass over each face. Bright, nervous, curious, expectant.

"Today," she began. "We will speak of the Light. Many think of Force Light only as a power to be projected, a shield against the dark, a weapon to strike back. And it can be that. But it is also something deeper. It is the act of reaching into the depths of your own soul, finding what lies within, and accepting it. Only then can we pacify those impressions — those doubts, fears and shadows — that seek to undo the innate light that already lives inside us."

Her tone softened, inviting rather than instructing.

"To begin, we must settle ourselves. Find a comfortable seat, or stand if you prefer, but be still. Connect with your breath. Let it come and go as it will, without forcing it. Allow yourself to find that stillness within. If we cannot be comfortable with this first step, it will be next to impossible to summon the light from within."

Her gaze swept gently across the group.

"You may notice thoughts rising up. Perhaps unsettling feelings. Do not push them away. Do not fear them. Simply observe them, and let them be. They are part of you, part of our shared experience of being alive. It is perfectly okay to feel them."

Eve inclined her head once, her voice a calm ripple.

"Let us begin."

The room gradually hushed, bodies shifting into more restful postures. Breath deepened, stilled. A rustle here, a shuffle there, then quiet.

Eve lowered herself to a cushion at the front, folding her legs and letting her single silver eye fall closed. Her awareness spread outward, not just inward, not just through her breath, but through the hall itself. Each presence brushed against hers: bright threads of Padawans, quieter glimmers of younglings, each aura distinct. She let herself settle among them, not apart but with, quietly observing their stillness with her own.

For now, they would rest together in silence. Soon, the next step would come.

The air within Snowpeak Sanctuary was brisk. Brisk, but not frigid. It was the sort of air that brought another fresh moment of clarity each time she drew it into her damaged lungs.

Peaceful, but not impotent.

With her hover chair tucked into the back of the meditation hall, Cora joined in the group meditation. She did not want to distract from Eve's lesson - but rather, this was the first bit of quiet joy she'd allowed herself to share in since Arkania.

Everest Vale had been through her own trials. Once a timid, uncertain Padawan, she'd flourished into not only a Jedi Knight, but a leader of her own enclave.

The core had burned. But the ash left behind would enriched the soil, enabling new growth.

Cora let her own presence settle among those that gathered, soft and unobtrusive. A gentle sentiment would drift over Eve like a warm blanket; pride and affection, tempered by hope.

When lessons or missions didn't take her away, Jane stayed close to her Master at the Snowpeak Sanctuary. The sanctuary had practically become her home, a place to unwind in between business trips. The cold did not bother her, thanks to her cybernetics, lack of sensation in her nerves, and Pantoran genes, allowing her to stroll through the snow and cold without a single problem.

Everest's announcement of a new lesson, this time about the Lightside of the Force, was not one she would pass up. Especially since she was already home.

Jane tapped her small boots at the meditation hall's entrance to avoid dragging more snow inside. Once she decided her boots were clean enough, the doll-like girl waddled into the hall, scanning the room with her large yet empty black eyes to see who was there.

It was relatively empty for the time being, with only her Master and a woman with beautiful golden hair Corazona von Ascania Corazona von Ascania sitting in the back on a hover chair. Her small, scarred purple hand rose into the air, waving stiffly at the woman, before she returned her attention to Everest and moved to one of the front cushions. After finding one that looked comfortable to sit on, she lowered her body onto it and tucked her legs together beneath her.

"Hey there, Isari." She whispered to the fox, extending her hand as she had the first time they met, allowing her to sniff as a greeting.

More Jedi, younger and older, began to flock in. And not long after, Everest started the lesson.

It started with a meditation it seemed. Something she'd been neglecting due to the busy-ness of her new life. It's not like she needed it mentally; her mind was usually quiet, and she didn't experience much emotion. Yet even Jane couldn't deny that being able to sit, close her eyes, and concentrate on her breathing was a relief. A moment to re-establish her connection to the planet's soil, ground herself and hear the melody in the Force.

Well, I was not planning on learning anything with the Force lately, but then again, I never do. I don’t really get a lot of chances, so I need to make the best of, and jump on any chances I get. So, this is one. I guess this new Knight, “Everest” is teaching.

I don’t know if it’s going to happen, but I really need to work on my social anxiety,
“Wooo-beeep.” [Translation: Oh come on, just TALK to somebody.]

Gee, thanks.

So, I showed up, and OH there’s Jane Jane ! The kid with the wigs. Ugh… one day I will remember that this stupid journal app records EVERYTHING, like it is right now. Anyway, I think I’ll sit near her.

“Weeep-bwoo.” [Translation: You keep saying that, but you keep, NOT remembering.]

Anyway… wow I feel calm all of the sudden. Wow, that blonde is beautiful…

STOP, DORK!

“Wooo-beeep.” [Translation: On that, we agree..]

You know, you can get an oil bath right now, right?
“Chrrp.” [Translation: I’m trying to figure out something...]

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
Corazona von Ascania Corazona von Ascania Everest Vale Everest Vale

The hidden path had proven interesting... mostly cause she knew next to no one there. Even Connel she only knew cause Caltin had been his father... and well she would joke but totally suspect Caltin to be the type to get his sons face tattooed on his arm next to one of his momma and barb wire... which when he got older would look more like a picket fence. Either way kashyyyk had been entertaining to observe and see... she looked up when one of the Arisen came to her in the head of the Ardana. The massive eons old being scattered across the planet in sections when the jedi had found it... and it being a droid of mammoth size they had used it on the water planet as a temple.

"You asked for a reminder master." Quatra spoke, the woman there as she served like a silent companion who went with her everywhere. "Oh yes." She pushed back from the desk as its gleaming surface rippled. The almost liquid crystal glowing from under to illuminate the different designs and projects that were on display. "Are you sure you wish to return to Eshan. Last time you and Lady Hanna were on the world you both almost had frostbite." The woman said it as she was looking at her. "That was a long time ago and..." She held up a hand. "Aee.... she is not coming with me this time. She wants to stay and take care of the kids."

The cathar woman stood there with a look. "Bee... there is a ninety nine point nine nine nine nine nine nine nine nine nine percent chance that I will have no reason to get naked and roll around with a vice chancellor in the snow... and Cee... I am a lot better at control and regulating my body heat now. I wouldn't make the same mistakes of then." She said it with a look at her jedi companion spoke. "You ah left a margin for ending up naked in the snow." She said it and Matsu looked at her as she was moving with a small grumble mockingly joking to the stern cat womans amusement... you could just see her shoulders barely rising and falling with her laugh.

Her movements and hands came up as she focused on Eshan to move quickly through the unbeing. The ribbon to the world and her own senses of the planet to find the collection of force energies so she could slip through and into it. Emerging with a small movement to look around the room as the white haired woman was speaking. ANother was in the room and she was damaged... but not seeming to wallow in it for now. The jedi masters movement let her walk silently on the force as it kept her just off the ground while muffling the shifting of her silvery robes. A third was in the room who seemed to greet the small pet in there.

"Quaint." She said it softly across the room more than directed before she moved into the air a little. Corssing her legs in a meditative stance to follow the instructions being presented. SHe could observe and see the lesson... it was always good to maintain ones skills but the real benefit here was observing the teacher. How they did it, how they were with a diverse group around them that might not learn at the same pace or present different views, challenges. It was a curious moment as she set herself in a small orbit while meditating on the lesson. Using Eve more like the sun and she just moved immersed herself in the gravity of the classes teacher.

'Slippery.' She said it mentally to herself as she was focusing and processing the force energies. Allowing herself to alter with art of the small her force presence so she was there but more elusive, more slippery like an eel when it was being grasped. Her own presence in the light being hidden and concealed so that she could present herself almost like a padawan just here to learn with most who hadn't seen her before.

Valery lingered just outside the hall for a moment, listening to the sound of Eve's voice as she addressed her students. It was steady, calm, and filled with confidence. A faint smile tugged at Valery's lips before she stepped inside, hoping to show support without disrupting her class.

She didn't take one of the open cushions. Instead, she moved to the back of the chamber and lowered herself to sit cross-legged against the wall. From there, she allowed herself to simply observe, orange eyes warm as they followed the way Eve handled this most important lesson.

Valery's hand settled lightly over her knee, her expression softening. When it came to her children or her Padawans, she had never been able to hide her pride. So, watching Everest teach at an Enclave she had helped establish... it made her heart swell with pride, and it showed in her smile.

She had come such a long way.

FjrblCV.png

To Vess Eshan was just another star, one of many she had been too ever since she met Valery, best she could say is it was very clean unlike Denon. Maybe a bit too clean and pretty, for her liking. Vess slipped in through the side entrance like she always did, quiet and low profile. The kind of presence that didn't draw eyes unless she wanted it to. Hood drawn up just enough to soften her silhouette, robes lighter than most Jedi wore but still unmistakably hers. A patchwork blend of Jedi elegance and underworld utility.

She didn't say a word to the gathered group. Most didn't even know her name which, frankly, she preferred. But her eyes found Valery instantly.

And for the briefest second, her whole demeanor shifted.

She lifted a hand in a small, lazy wave not formal, not ceremonial. Just her way of saying I'm here. No I'm not dead and I didn't run off.

And then, with practiced precision, she flicked a small object toward her. A credit chit clean, unmarked, untraceable but anyone with the right eye would know it didn't come from any respectable institution.

"Don't ask where it came from," she said softly, just loud enough for Valery to hear across the distance, a slight smirk tugging at her mouth. "Just don't spend it all in one place."

Without breaking stride, she passed through the edge of the group, giving everyone else a wide berth. Vess didn't mingle. She observed. A shadow at the perimeter of things, half-listening, half-scanning.

But she was there.

Vess wasn't the only Padawan not mingling. No. Reina was sat off to the side of the group, her legs folded beneath herself and against the cold hard ground. Snowpeak Sanctuary had been a wonder when Reina had first arrived. Being able to experience Eshan for the first time. The cold had been welcoming for Reina. As Everest spoke to the others and spoke about what Force Light was, Reina just stared at her hand, letting it flicker between it's more human form and then the Ersansyr form, her nails shifting to claws. None of this seemed "light" to Reina. Yet...Reina didn't feel overtly different in her connection to the Light. Ersansyr were meant to be Sithspawn...so surely that should mean that the Light was meant to hurt Reina...Yet it felt as welcoming as ever. None of this made sense. Not a single bit of it.

That wasn't what Reina needed to think about however. She had to think about herself. Settle with who she was. It was harder than she cared to admit. To settle with what and who she was. The redhead felt like she was being left behind. That she wasn't progressing fast enough in her learning. Yet she didn't blame her masters. She didn't blame her fellow students. No. Reina blamed herself for not being able to progress fast enough. Yes, everyone's journey was meant to be at their own pace...but she felt as if she was a lone fish in the sea, unable to keep up with her school.

Yet she did not push these thoughts away. She had to confront them. They were a part of her. Reina just had to let them flow past her as she looked internally. Closing her eyes as she leaned against the wall, folding her arms along her front. She had to learn what it meant to be her all over again.

Katherine wasn’t so bothered by the cold anymore. Sure, she wasn’t exactly immune to it as she had before. But she was no longer so affected by it as she had been shortly after the rejuvenation. The winged Jedi had ultimately passed it off as just needing to get familiar with her new body.

News had reached her ears about Everest establishing an enclave, and being Knighted in the process too. Katherine had been sad she couldn’t have been there to congratulate her friend. But had made a mental note to pay the sanctuary a visit when she could.

Yesterday had been that day.

Katherine had parted ways with Torin for a bit, the druid needing to take care of a personal matter. But before leaving, he had made the redhead promise she’d actually take some time to rest. Having been rushing around the Core trying to help wherever she could. To a point she had eventually just collapsed from a lack of sleep, not that she complained given it was right into Torin’s arms.

It ended up providing Katherine the opportunity to visit Eshan, to Snowpeak Sanctuary itself. To both explore it, and hopefully catch up with Everest. That was how she learned of the Echani’s first public lesson, one revolving around Force Light. And there was no way she was going to miss attending.

The winged Jedi had arrived earlier, opting to take a spot more towards the corner in order to not draw so much attention. Difficult as that was with both how tall she was, and the pair of large white wings on her back.

Even Harmony; her spirit-familiar, had opted to make an appearance. The usually energetic fox remained curled up in Katherine’s lap. Who was more focused on watching as people stepped into the class. It brought a smile to her face to see so many Padawans had come, clearly interested in learning from Everest.

Look at you Evie, you’ve come so far.

With instruction given, Katherine shuffled a little before closing her eyes. She focused her mind, attempting to soothe it into a calm state, trying to settle the maelstrom of thoughts that were ever swirling about.

Tigris had vacillated on whether to attend Everest's first class as a Knight. While she wholheartedly supported her fiance, she also didn't wish to distract Eve for the important moment. In the end, when she saw Valery Noble Valery Noble slip into the meditation hall, Tigris knew that it was alright.
595a9f06ce3c987b9c76af77e0d4aa4057806aff.jpg
While Master Noble remained at the back of the hall, Tigris padded closer, giving Valery a nod. Having removed her boots at the door, Tigris then padded across the quiet room. She moved in perfect silence to the back of the semi-circle of meditative students.

As she settled to the cushion, the tattooed padawan turned her gaze to Cora, a knight she didn't know well but had admired greatly from afar. The Atrisian knew the severity of the injuries she had suffered, and to see her at Snowpeak Sanctuary only inspired Tigris to respect her all the more. Her gaze then fell to Kat. Tigris had grown fond of the beautiful and glorious Valyrie, not only being Eve's friend, but the Atrisian liked to think of her as one as well.

Her gaze shifted to the silver fox. Tigris flashed a smile a Isari.

And Michael. She smirked to herself. She was glad the pilot never gave up.

Finally, Tigris turned her attention to Everest. While she should have been quieting herself, she could not help but watch the Echani knight. Love and pride swelled within her, threatening to unsettle her own serenity and those around her. Closing her dark eyes, Tigris slipped into practices now intuitive. The shedding of thought outside of that room. She caressed the Force, feeling intently her fiance's presence through their bond, and then other bright lights. Cora, Valery, Jane...Oh she sensed Reina, but she was...different ... and someone who was not there. Very Curious.

Turning her focus back to the class, Tigris' breathing intuitively became deep, full and cleansing as she waited for Eve to continue.

Katarine had only ended up at Snowpeak Sanctuary because her trip to Lothal had gone sideways, and because Acier had stepped in to pull her out of the fire. He was the one who told her about this place, this enclave of Jedi who still dared to gather. Since he was already bound for a supply run, he had brought her along, as well as the boy they'd rescued.

The child was a youngling, far too small for the class taking place beyond the door. Kat had checked in on him earlier, leaving him in the care of the attendants who watched over the littlest ones. Now, though, her curiosity had tugged her back here. She lingered at the threshold, deep green eyes fixed on the gathering of students.

She knew she didn't belong, not here, not anywhere. Drifting aimlessly from one world to the next, she carried no allegiance, no tether strong enough to anchor her. Around her, these Jedi clung to a war whose roots stretched back centuries, fighting battles she no longer believed in. Disillusionment weighed on her like a shadow. And yet she couldn't deny the flicker of fascination at seeing so many Jedi gathered together, their presence stirring something in her she thought long buried.

Ace adjusted the strap of his pack as he stepped out into the corridor. He'd already dropped the last of the crates, already made sure Kat and the kid had somewhere to land. The Flickerfox was fueled and waiting, but on his way out the sound of voices drew him down a quieter corridor.

He stopped short of the threshold. Eve was at the center, steady and calm, her voice carrying through the chamber. Around her he caught familiar friends: Jane whispering to Isari, Michael stiff beside his droid, Valery with that look of pride she couldn't hide, Kat at the edge like she wasn't sure if she belonged, even Tigris trying not to fidget.

Ace leaned on the frame, arms folded. For a moment he just watched, with a faint smile. Tic tilted his head at his boot, chirping softly, like he wanted to stay.

For most of his life, "friend" had been just a word other people used. Now he had them, scattered through the room, steady in their own ways. And for all the sharp edges still left in him, he couldn't imagine giving that up.

"Maybe next time, Tic." He murmured, quiet enough for only the droid to catch.

And with that, he pushed off the wall and turned away. By the time the students were sinking into silence, his footsteps were already fading down the corridor, Tic's claws tapping after him toward the waiting ship.

Alana sat on the cushion, thick red glasses covered her eyes, concealing the wrappings that hide her injuries from the others. She remained seated, a shawl adorning much of her head and neck, her usual jacket having been replaced for common robes.

She was not in a great deal of pain, but she was unwieldy at current, her senses being focused largely on listening and the few flickers of clarity she could achieve when she calmed herself to the world.

The only problem, was that at times she would lose focus as someone spoke, plunging her back into the darkness. She knew the voice of the speaker however, a familiar voice, that fostered a warmth in her chest. She could feel other bodies too, some familiar and unfamiliar, though she hoped to remain incognito.

It would be better that way, not that she wanted to hide, but she did not have the energy to retell what had befallen her. Though, she felt a great deal of relief being in this company as opposed to her first time at the Jedi Temple.

But for now, she remained in quiet contemplation, perhaps looking like a padawan trying to adhere to some societal tradition. She did intend to learn from this class of course, she needed to learn, the Force had led her here after all.

But she would need time to recover before she could fully devote herself to the practice.

All in due time.

She smiled beneath her bandages and shawl, and tried to balance between seeing through the Force, and listening to the words of the woman before her.

In a sense, this was training as well.

The hell had gotten into her? Doing extra work with the injuries she had?

Maybe she really had turned over a new leaf.

Zaiya lingered at the edge of the meditation hall, her bare feet whispering against cool stone as she stepped inside. The wide expanse glowed with natural light, pale walls catching faint ripples of gold and silver that flickered across her skin as her emotions stirred. She had come early enough to find a quiet corner, folding herself onto a cushion with her datapad tucked against her knees.

The Lovalla's gaze wandered the semicircle of students already gathering, a faint and joyful smile lingering upon her lips as she watched a few Padawans fidgeting while others whispered in hushed tones. There were a few older faces as well, standing quietly to observe just like her. Her own stripes shifted faintly with soft blue and citrine tints in happy curiosity, a tell she did not bother hiding.

Force Light. She had touched it once before, when the bridge at Tython Station had blazed with it from Zaiya. At the time, it had been Master Corazona von Ascania Corazona von Ascania who'd helped guide her light that had poured out without warning, banishing the dead and breaking a Sith's hold... even cutting him off from the Force itself. She still could not quite believe it had been her.

Since then, under Iris Arani Iris Arani and Domxite's watchful eyes, she had studied, practiced, tried to shape it instead of letting it erupt again. Yet even then, knowledge mattered as much as practice. Seeing another Knight wield it, hearing their teaching, could only guide her further.

So Zaiya settled down, Domxite beside her, the paint splattered droid giving an inquisitive, joyful wiggle. They were also excited too.

Whatever this lesson brought, she was eager to see it through.

Aileni found his way to Eshan, there was multiple reasons for the aspiring Jedi Shadow to find his path on the colder world of the warrior people. There was the ability to learn their language, it was not the linguistic skill that Aileni was used to when it came to learning languages. He was fluent in most that he had learned but Aileni was curious how he would fare in learning non-verbal languages, like the Echani had. Similar to how he had to put a decent amount of effort into learning the Galactic Basic Sign Language. Something he knew would be super helpful when it came time to fully embrace the life of a Jedi Shadow.

Learning other various non-verbal languages were surely going to be similarly helpful for him.

The other reason for attending was the new enclave that had been constructed on Eshan. A place called Snowpeak Sanctuary, which seemed to live up to the name and Aileni was glad he brough his hoodie with him to ensure the cold was beaten off. Entering the enclave, Aileni headed to the meditation room where the training was going to be taking place. When he arrived, Aileni looked around and felt his eyes widen, seeing everyone standing around and there seemed to be a lot of people here in attendance that he wouldn't have assumed would need the lesson. Or at least were not people in training. Was it an audit? Did Jedi have audits?

"Sorry for arriving a little late, got distracted visiting a few other locations on my way here." Aileni mentioned to the trainer, Everest, his eyes then shifted to the fox companion. It was strange, he had only ever known his mother to be someone who had a fox-like creature that followed her around. Just having an animal companion was rare enough for Aileni. There was definitely more questions that Aileni wanted to ask surrounding that but it was something that would have to wait in time. Something that would have to circle back around when the class was over perhaps.

The young Padawan noted a few students were sat down and looked around, a little unsure what to do since he missed the opening speech but followed everyone else and slid down into a seated position.

Cartri settled into one of the many soft cushions scattered around the room, his gaze fixed on Knight Vale as he listened intently to every word. Since his arrival, Connel had urged him to take initiative and deepen his understanding of the Force. Today, he intended to do just that by learning a technique called Force Light. The name struck him as odd; after all, he usually relied on a simple torch when the dark pressed in. Still, every skill had a beginning, and this was his.

As the others closed their eyes and sank into quiet focus, Cartri followed their lead. He shifted until he was comfortable, drew a long, steady breath, and opened himself to the current of the Force. His thoughts stirred—not with doubt or fear, but with curiosity. Intrigue flickered within him, bright and restless, eager to know more.

Perhaps this was more than just a trick to banish shadows. Perhaps it was a light meant for something greater

Force Light. It was a skill vastly useful for fighting against the Sith was what Aris had learned about it. A Light quite literally banishing the shadow from where it touched, bringing warmth and joy. It was ultimately something he could never use himself, though. One of many abilities that would be out of his reach for the rest of his life, and yet, he didn't seem bothered by it.

He sat in the room, off in a corner reading as he listened. His reasoning was two fold though similar. One, offer a quiet support for Everest Vale Everest Vale in her leading the class. Two, be around Zaiya Ceti Zaiya Ceti . Specifically without distracting her from the lesson, so he'd be reading the whole time.

Maybe he could learn something factual about Force Light that'd let him at least help others, too.

Eve's eye opened briefly as she let her awareness wash across the room. In the silence she could feel them, every aura like a star, some bright and clear, others clouded, but all luminous in their own way. She smiled softly, heart swelling as she recognised so many familiar presences gathered here for her first lesson.

Cora sat among them, her hoverchair a silent concern. Eve made a quiet note to catch up with her later, to ensure she was well. Katherine, too — whose strength and presence she had always admired — was here, and seeing her stirred pride and gratitude. Valery's presence filled her with courage, a grounding reminder of the Master who had guided her into this knowledge. Tigris, warm and ever-present through their bond, offered love that steadied her more than words ever could.

Her gaze passed gently over Reina, and her heart warmed. Perhaps this lesson might help her find some of the peace she had long been searching for. And there was Ace, Zaiya, Aris—friends and fellow students, each one dear to her. To see them all together, here, supporting her and choosing to learn... That was more than she had dared hope. Jane, her own student, had dutifully come as well as she hoped she would, and it warmed her heart to see the young girl so enthusiastically take on new tasks and challenges. And beyond these familiar faces, many newer ones too. That, perhaps, was most encouraging of all.

For a long while, she let the silence stretch. Then, when it felt right, her voice rose gently, like a breeze over still water.

"It is natural to feel resistance," she began. "To find places in the mind and heart that push back, that cling to fear, or to sorrow, or even to the desire for control. Do not push against them. Do not wrestle with them. Instead… allow yourself to open. To see them for what they are, and to let them pass through you."

She left her words to linger, the hall breathing quietly with her. Each sentence was like a drop in a still pool, followed by ripples of silence.

"The Light lives within each of you," she continued. "Every single one of us has this capacity. To heal. To protect. To endure. It can be drawn outward, yes… but only once we learn to quiet the subtle voices of distraction that tug at us each day. That is why we begin with stillness."

Another pause, another breath.

"Each of you will feel this differently. Each of you speaks your own inner language, and it is only by listening that you will learn to understand it. But once you do..."

Her words cut off as she drew a sharp breath. A sudden glow traced down the lines of her veins, threads of radiant white fire dancing beneath her skin before spilling outward in a shimmer of brilliance from her fingertips. The light pulsed once, steady and bright, before fading again into her hands.

"...you can learn to guide it. To let that inner language speak into the outer world."

She straightened a little, her expression calm but intent now.

"When I next show you, follow me. Do not strain. Do not grasp. Simply feel. Trust that the Light is already moving through you, as blood flows through your veins. Direct it outward. Even if nothing seems to happen… it is there. It is working. It only takes practice to let it shine clearly."

She drew in another steady, deliberate breath. Her hand lifted, and this time she guided the Light from her heart. She trusted its motion, the rhythm of something ancient and alive within her. It coursed outward again, down her arms, bright veins flaring beneath her skin before the glow escaped her hands in a gentle radiance.

It was a simpler form of the greater power she had mastered with Valery — like a candle flame compared to a beacon — but it was enough. Enough for the absolute beginners in this hall to open their senses, to glimpse for the first time that quiet, living truth within themselves.

She held the light for a moment, letting it glow like a heartbeat in her palms, before letting it fade once more.

"Now… you."

The hall was filling up with the murmur of people and she listened to some... saw others. Catching snippets of small talk or greetings. The conversations were minimal, at least once Eve started talking about the force and the light... It was rather beautiful sounding she had to admit... much more then she might have done.... and Matsu would have used breath over blood as the medium it was less messy and more ethereal as a reference but it served its purpose. Her face a mosaic of the concentration one did for their first time. It took everything not to do the small proud clap at the natural teaching talent on display.

She understood it, her directions were clear and the woman remained hovering as she followed the instructions. Allowing the force to flow through her and under the surface of the skin. Her breathing held for just a moment as she watched slowly lighting herself up with the lightside of the force from her core to her fingertips. For a brief moment shimmering her presence in the lightside before letting it casually slip into the background of the rooms throng of people learning. She was looking inwards as instructed and paused only to muse herself a few moments... a few times she rarely got to roll her shoulders and just relax with a lesson.

'Even the experienced can continue to learn.' She said it to herself while her orbit around Eve brought her around going over several of the others. The feelings in the room a small shift as she noticed Tigris Aphra Tigris Aphra swell with pride, love and more. A curious thing but she didn't blame her... if she was perhaps single, much much younger... the silvery haired woman would be a beautiful one to know... luminous even in many cases. Her enjoyment of the lesson though was here while she continued to look inwards her thoughts drifting to Hanna Ike Hanna Ike as the once vice chancellor was there. 'It's amazing how much paperwork an act of heroism requires.'

THe memories and thoughts were colored, the first words from the woman after fighting Chora and returning to Coruscant well... the chancellor was missing alongside Ben Watts at the time. Several violent events had happened... but then this blonde made a joke to try and give her something to smile about. Her memories continued and the light grew brighter while she continued her own breathing techniques to keep her presence low and just out of perception. 'We am here, Mother, as you foresaw in the Force. We move forward; we reach back. Fear not. My sister and I, we are Force-born, awakened by Mother's light and the kyber's song… and by you!'

The voices of her daughters echoed in her mind, a comforting chorus. It was their love, their strength, that she was truly learning from today. It was a reminder that the Force was more than just a power; it was a connection. The memories continued not just hers. Matsu felt the echoes of two lives, two hearts, on a dimly lit landing platform under the oppressive shadow of Coruscant as the One Sith were marching. She saw the moment as if through a ghost's eyes, an ethereal observer to a moment that had passed long ago. It was a familiar ache, this kind of sacrifice. THis kind of moment and she had seen so much more.

Matsu a younger jedi master stood with the vice chancellor Hanna. The air between them was thick with unspoken words and a painful understanding. A transport ship waited, its engines a low, humming promise of escape and a future born of their family. Hanna's heart was a battleground that the jedi could feel in her bones, torn between her duty to the cause and her bond with Matsu that had formed. "Last night, we spoke of many things, Hanna," Matsu said, her voice a low, steady current in the swirling tension. "You asked me to guide us both through this. I've thought long and hard since then, and it all comes to one truth: you must board that transport with Commander Isard. It's where you belong."

Hanna shook her head, her hand reaching out as if to physically hold onto Matsu. "But, Matsu, no, I… I can't…" Her lip trembled, her voice a pitch higher. "You must listen to me!" Matsu's voice rose, a flash of urgency in her normally calm demeanor. "Do you know what awaits if you stay here? Nine times out of ten, we'd both end up in the Siths execution grounds. Isn't that right, Captain Varn?" A Republic officer, Captain Varn, loitered nearby, a silent vulture observing their exchange. He offered a grim confirmation. "I'm afraid They would demand it all jedi not converting are being killed." Hanna's eyes, full of pain and disbelief, searched Matsu's face. "You're only saying this to make me leave."

"I'm saying it because it's true," Matsu insisted, her gaze unwavering. "Deep in our hearts, we both know you belong with home. You're part of the Consortiums fight, the spark that keeps Alanna alive. If that ship jumps to hyperspace without you, you'll regret it. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon, and for the rest of your days." The words hung in the air, weighted with a finality that broke Hanna's resolve. "But what about us?" she whispered, the question a plea. Matsu's expression softened. "We'll always have Eshan. We didn't have it, we lost it, until you came to back to Coruscant. We reclaimed it last night."

"When I swore I'd never leave you," Hanna said, her voice catching. "And you never will," Matsu promised, a sad smile playing on her lips. "But I have my own mission. Where I'm going, you can't follow. What I must do, you can't be part of. Hanna, I'm not skilled at grand gestures, but it doesn't take a Jedi to see that the struggles of us two are but a speck in this galaxy's chaos. One day, you'll understand." Tears welled in Hanna's eyes, and she lowered her head, a silent acknowledgment of the bitter truth. Matsu reached out and, with a touch so gentle it was a caress, lifted Hanna's chin. Their eyes met, and in that gaze.

"Now, now…" Matsu murmured, a final, painful kindness. "Here's looking at you, Vice Chancellor." The memory faded, leaving Matsu with a poignant echo of that farewell. She thought of Hanna, of their own sacrifices and the choices she had been forced to make. The past was never truly gone; it was a living thing, a mosaic of echoes that shaped the present. Her interest and memories might have been a little much as she could even feel it.. the warmth of the lightside there in the room but she slowly brought it back to herself... compressing the light to her body once again like a blazing sun into a box.

She looked at Eve for a moment and shimmered with her head nodding approval. "Whaat controls are you going to teach so they do not just flash the class?" She said it with a look though and is was pure curiosity. "You are a natural though Knight Vale, teaching becomes you." She continued to glow brighter and brighter, her image shimmering back and forth into perception mostly to listen and observe but there was also the enjoyment. The next part of it would be to see how her students managed to handle things.
