STANDARD FEATURES
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Redoubt: The Waystation sports impressive passive defenses in the form of thick hull armor using mutliple layers of high-quality armor and the characteristic, extensive shielding of Mon Calamari Shipyards Delphus-4 Shielding System augmented by the pioneering anti-concussion field generator technology of Lucerne Labs. Both these systems are backed by the extensive energy reserves of the station's multiple Isotope-5 reactors. Combined with its sheer size, the Waystation can withstand exceptional punishment with few immediate effects on its operations.
  • Artificial World: The Waystation is a massive construct that is larger than some small moons, allowing it to function as mostly independent settlement. Aside from providing the basic necessities for life and civilization, the Waystation has several large areas within the station designed to replicate more typical life in environments similar to Dac, Sullust, Aurion, and Alderaan in order to provide long-term creature comfort. Lucerne Biological Systems also maintains several square kilometers of a wildlife “preserve” to provide genetic stock and raw materials for their own projects. While ostensibly industrial in purpose, this area is also frequent recreation area.
  • Exceptional Hyperdrive: The Waystation uses an extremely powerful and experimental hyperdrive that is the result of combined efforts of Mon Calamari Shipyards, SoroSuub, RingoVinda Systems, and Lucerne Labs. Using their combined knowledge and expertise, the Waystation is actually a multi-core hypedrive (giving it HIMS ability) that makes extensive use of synthetic madilon for miniaturization and oversized null quantum field generators, combined with an extensive knowledge of relatively unknown hyperspace routes thanks to the Directorates relationships with the Claatuvac Guild, the Lantillian Spacer's Brotherhood, as well as a number of independent scouts employed by the Directorate,
  • Hidden: The Waystation has an unusual stygium cloak that is constantly supplied with artificial crystals formed by the station's molecular furnace. This allows the station to seemingly disappear from view when needed. Given the station's large size, this is most effective at longer range. The Waystation also can use its Kerts-Bhrg Field Generators to allow it to be safely placed in areas typically deemed inhabitable even for starships, such as near stars and other areas of extreme radiation.
  • Cornucopia: The Waystation can produce a staggering amount and variety of materials and products. Its onboard hydroponics, gardens, and aquaponics facilities are capable of producing enough fresh foodstuffs to feed not only the station's population, but also generate a small surplus. Recycling droids further enhance the long-term longevity of these supplies. Molecular furnaces and fuel converters allow the Waystation to produce raw materials either for its use, for the use of other facilities, such as its automated factories and shipyards. The Waystation has dozens of entirely automated factories which allow it to construct a vast variety of products, from drugs and foodstuffs to clothing and small arms to military vehicles and starship parts. The station even has a 10,000 meter long deepdock on its ventral size, which allows it to the construct the largest of warships.

WEAKNESSES
  • Near Stationary (subspace): The Waystation has a relatively small number of ion engines scattered across its surface, primarily for short-time use to allow it to alter its trajectory as it enters planetary orbit. These same engines allow it to break free of orbit if the station needs to be moved.
  • What are weapons? In to allow it legal and politically inoffensive passage through the territories of the galactic powers, the Waystation is completely unarmed.
  • What are starfighters? As a civilian space station, the Waystation does not carry any starfighters with which to protect itself or project offensive power.
  • Massive Size: Being extremely large allows the Waystation to contain many of the Directorate's facilities, but it also makes an easy to hit target once discovered. It also limits some places where the station can be safely placed due to either traffic or natural terrain.
  • Impromptu Design: The original Waystation was haphazardly cobbled together as an amalgamation of different stations and materials. While the self-reconstruction of the station has almost eliminated this unusual material junction, much of the original layout remains the same, which can be confusing and sometimes utterly insensible layouts, such as placing fuel refineries next to hydroponic fields or ammunition bunkers. The politically divided nature of the corporations owning or occupying parts of the Waystation means that some of this haphazard design process is not likely to change.

DESCRIPTION
The Waystation originally was assembled as a motley collection of space stations and other facilities as the Directorate retreated from their locations in traditional Silver Jedi space in the face of the overwhelming force of the Sith Empire. Thanks to internal factories and the cooperation of the Directorate's member corporations, it has evolved into being a massive and almost impregnable, high-tech headquarters of the organization. From the Waystation, Directorate forces are trained, outfitted, and assembled before embarking on military assistance missions and exploration expeditions. Economically, it serves as a secondary production facility for many corporations as well as a meeting place to coordinate research projects between companies – the Waystation is entirely self-sufficient due to the use of hydroponics/aquaponics, molecular furnaces, fuel converters, automated factories, and a massive ventral shipyard. But more than just a powerhouse facility, the Waystation also contains artificial environments complete with miniature cities replicating Alderaan, Mon Calamari, Aurion, and Sullust in order to make it homelike for many of the personnel stationed there. The Waystation is frequently mobile, moving to the location where Directorate High Command believes it can have the greatest impact on galactic affairs.

Technical Descriptions

Crew & Automation:
The Waystation's core functions themselves are highly automated, using a BRT Supercomputer named Pedric recovered from the Unknown Regions that has developed a somewhat stoic and perfectionistic attitude. The base supercomputer unit itself is augmented by banks of Calor-series Bio-Computers. Not only can this computer core support the supercomputer's AI, but it also can host other visiting artificial intelligences in it as well. This supercomputer directs a vast crew, mostly made out of the Directorate's most experienced Marinus droids for day to day operations. A small organic bridge crew along with organic section chief officers supplements this mostly automated crew; they typically act as supervisors for day to day operations, and trouble shoot issues that the droids and/or supercomputer are unable to take care of. Most of the station's population thus is unsurprisingly related to the facilities within the station itself, rather than operating its most basic functions as a space-going habitat.

Command and Control: One of the Waystation's key roles is to act as a command and control station for not only local Directorate operations, but strategic ones as well in its guise of faction headquarters. The bridge of the Waystation is unsurprisingly then quite sophisticated, using a multiple vertical levels to cram in as much computers, consoles, and holo-stations while still supplying a massive holo-projector in the lowest and most central level of the room in order to keep the bridge crew and its commander with a picture of the overall engagement. Dedicated computer banks allow the Waystation to host multiple artificial intelligences besides Pedric, and it's not uncommon for the AIs to briefly take over stations or communicate to crewmembers via holoprojector pods in the bridge. Aside from the station's bridge itself, the Waystation also has a pair of secondary command suites to coordinate operations outside of the station itself. These are the Planetary Operations Center(POC) and Space Operations Center(SOC) respectively.

The SOC, also known as the “wishing well”, is a tactical command post loosely based on the bridge of the old Inexpungnable-class. It is circular room with two levels, with the inner level being substantially lower than the outer ring. The outer ring holds typical computer consoles, comscans, and a handful of small scale holo-tanks. But the central portion is created with a transparisteel deck and walls through which embedded holo-projectors could recreate the space around them and the objects, both artificial and natural, on a large scale that is not only detailed and immersive, but also in real-time. Such a presentation affords the crew manning it perhaps the easiest method to observe and interpret on a large scale while avoiding being sucked into observing the battle through a handful of 'keyholes' viewpoints, such as the bridge viewport or an several electro-photoreceptors. Exploration expeditions frequently use the SOC to explore avenues of approach through difficult terrains and to coordinate initial orbital traffic over a newly colonized world. Unsurprisingly, Directorate officers and executives frequently use it to help coordinate groups of ships, from the largest cruiser to the smallest starfighter.

The Planetary Operations Center is located a short distance away from both the main bridge and the SOC. This is a rectangular room whose walls are mostly covered in LCD screens which frequently display live feeds from cameras and other visual sensors found on personal armors, droids, vehicles, and other like devices. Most of the room is occupied with neat rows of computer consoles and holographic tactical battlefield displays needed to interpret the vast amount of data flows through the center and coordinate the units present on the ground. Many of these consoles are equipped with CL-3 headsets to help control and coordinate droids and other automated units. This room also contains an ARENA-7580 Holo-projector, used to plan large-scale movements, and a pair of CS-Mark 10 Command Combat Simulators, which are used to analyze terrain and simulate mission plans. As several Jedi and other Force-users over the years have associated with the Directorate because of its links to major factions, the Waystation also has several meditation chambers located just outside of the bridge and near the POC and SOC to enable battle meditation and the use other Force techniques.

Communications: The Waystation makes extensive use of multiple Oracle-class Communications Packages that allow the ship to handle thousands of incoming and outgoing transmissions as a command and control vessel. To that end, the Waystation has a host of short-ranged comlinks networked into a central communications computer that allows it to support hundreds of different simultaneous data streams. These units can be used by military forces through the POC to coordinate movements of peoples, vehicles, droids, and other units as necessary for large-scale operations. Because Oracle can also be used to jam and disrupt communications, units working in sync with the Waystation will typically use channel-hopping algorithms to link their communication's efforts, which allows the Waystation to selectively jam frequencies to deny their use to the enemy while allowing their own communications to continue unhindered. Aside from the Oracle, the Waystation also hosts multiple encrypted HoloNet transceivers, allowing Directorate executives and commanders to remain connected with their allies even as they travel across the stars.

Hull: The Waystation originated as an almost a countless number of small stations and asteroids which were slowly combined by scaffolding and macro-ion fusing. As the station has become more and more permanent, the Waystation's onboard molecular furnaces have recycled older pieces of the station (or raw material in an asteroid's case) and used its onboard factories to gradually make it the station's hull more regular in structure and strength. Outer layers of the station are the newest and most uniform, thanks to this expansion being started once those onboard factories were up and running. The outer structural frame is made up of massive, synethetic beskar beam-based framework that is mol-welded together. This framework is in turn covered by costly and slow to produce synthetic Impervium as a thick, inner armored layer. In turn, this armor layer is covered by multiple layers of Argentum-series Matrix Armor whose thickness rivals the armor found on many super star destroyers. This outside armor seems really impressive, but it hides some of the more hasty and fragile framework deep within the station itself that dates to its hurried and cobbled construction. These areas will eventually be replaced, however, with newer construction to make it consistently more resilient. Even not considering these areas, the inner station is somewhat weaker just due to its structure: The cavern that holds the city of “Little Coral CIty” is mostly hollow, leading a large area of dead space that could be an issue if the station every finds itself under heavy enemy fire. The shipyard scaffolding on the dorsal side of the station is also similarly very weak and exposed to enemy fire.

Hyperdrive: The Waystation has an unusual hyperdrive system that started out as a result of its haphazard, amalgated formation, with independent stations originally syncing their drives together for jumps. This original jury-rigged system has been almost entirely replaced by sets of experimental but identical hyperdrives placed uniformly around the station. Through the extensive cooperation of the companies involved in the Directorate, the Waystation's drives make extensive use of synthetic madilon for miniaturization and oversized null quantum field generators. These clusters of powerful hyperdrives sync to whip the station quickly through hyperspace, rivaling the speed of many of the fastest ships through sheer, brute-force engineering. Combined with its multi-core nature, the Waystation effectively has a built-in HIMS device with over twenty separate hyperdrive clusters to burn through. This benefit is hopefully as last resort, as the station would be virtually helpless once immobilized in realspace. However, the Waystation uses a secure, isolated navi-computer that not only has normal hyperspace routes in it, but many otherwise unknown hyperspace routes thanks to the Directorates relationships with the Calaatuvac Guild, the Lantillian Spacer's Brotherhood, as well as a number of independent scouts employed by the Directorate. The Waystation thus usually travels on these routes in order to avoid ambushes. Plotting these jumps takes place in the astronavigation suite described below.

Security: The Waystation incorporates conventional internal security systems, making extensive use of code cylinders to control sensitive access to the station and its systems. Tripping or attempting to force one's way into the system can not only trigger silent alarms that inform the ship's security team, but also trigger any number of automated traps. Forced access to most restricted rooms triggers man traps concealed underneath the deck's plate in an attempt to immobilize the intruder. Key rooms, corridors, and junction points are further guarded by automated Stormfire Heavy Repeater emplacements, and force-field generators. Roving patrols of Directorate-made battle droids and ground units, notably
Directorate Shock Marines, provide a mobile and quick reacting internal security force capable of dealing with most threats when fielded in sufficient numbers. In terms of electronic protection, the ship utilizes several layers of encryption software that is frequently watched over and supervised by dedicated network administrator droids, organic slicers, and of course Pedric, a capable cyberwarfare player in his own right. There is enough excess computing capacity that the ship can host several artificial intelligences, and it is known that Admiral Quee typically brings an Atropos AI to help augment the station's electronic protection.

Shields:
The Waystation is heavily shielded, relying on their multiple Isotope-5 reactors to provide enough power to run multiple shielding systems. The core of this system is Mon Calamari Shipyard's prized and rare Delphus 4-class Shield System, which provides multiple layers of defense from a variety of threats. Augmenting this shield system is a network of Aegis II Anti-Concussion Field generators, which provide additional threats against kinetic threats such as asteroids, missiles, slugs, and any number of physical objects. In areas of intense radiation, some of this shielding power is instead directed towards the KertsBhrg field generators. This extensive shielding backed by Isotope-5 reactors provides the station with an impressive amount of passive defense.

Armament: The Waystation does not have any weapons capable of harming other space-going vessels in order to permit its passage through the space of any number of galactic governments.

Hangars/Docking Facilities: Given the station's massive industrial abilities as well as its sheer size, it should be unsurprising that the Waystation has thousands of small bays scattered across its hull for light craft such as personal transports, tramp freighters and other light craft. Many of these smaller bays along with dozens of the bulk freighter bays are operated and associated with specific companies on the station in their own individual corporate sections for their specific use. Docking bays for larger ships are directly under the control of the Station staff itself in guidance from the Directorate's High Command. It is not uncommon for Directorate warships to dock to provide some rest and relaxation for its crews and to obtain supplies. Some of the organization's largest cargo vessels also dock in order to bring raw materials for processing and to take finished products to the reaches of the galaxy.

Memorial Shipyard: The ventral side of the Waystation contains a massive shipyard facility, with the external scaffolding structure capable of building ships up to 10 kilometers in length. Just above the shipyard are raw materials holding bays, construction droid bays, and automated factories dedicated to making ship components. Many of the Directorate's warships are built, repaired, or upgraded at the Memorial Shipyard.

Company Sections
Unsurprisingly given the Directorate's nature, large sections of the station have been completely taken over or designed from scratch by its constituent companies.

Elatar Enterprises Sector: A relatively new company associated with the CIS, the Elatar Enterprises area is currently under construction. At the moment, this sector serves as a subsidiary office to allow the company to network with other Directorate companies and cooperate on mutual interests and projects.

Eshan Industrial Corporation Sector: Eshan Industrial Corporation, more popularly known as EIC, has a sizeable droid fabrication and testing facility on the Waystation. Aside from building and testing droids at its location, it also noticeably a site of cooperative projects with the Lucerne conglomerate, with part of the Sword of Eshan being designed at this location as well as some integrated testing of the LPD weapons integration testing with EIC's droid platforms.

Mon Calamari Shipyards Sector: With Dac's current subjugation by the Sith Empire, one of the more safe locations for Mon Calamari Shipyards's high-end research has been the Waystation. Not only does the company have a small internal shipyard and a factory to make components and small craft, but it also hosts an advanced shielding research lab. Aside from manufacturing items here, the MCS complex has has storage facilities to hold onto parts and finished starships. Rumor has it this location also has a hangar that stores unique Mon Calamari craft saved from destruction/capture during the world's evacuation from the Sith Empire.

Imperium Forge Works Sector: Now under new management, the Imperium Forge Works sector consists of mostly of automated factories, vehicle storage bays, and a small warehouse for some of its parts that it exports or holds in reserve for repairs. These are only a small portion of the company's output potential, and its main purpose on the Waystation is to coordinate its efforts with those of other Directorate constituent companies. There is a rumor that somewhere in the complex's secure holding areas is a copy of the Thrawn AI that the company's former owner, Joran Greff, worshiped.

Lucerne Labs Sector: Lucerne Labs has one of the larger facilities onboard thanks to its early inclusion in helping to build the Waystation itself. It's a relatively plain industrial area with automated factories dedicated to making droids, starship systems, and smaller starships. Many of the starship parts constructed here are sent down to the Memorial Shipyard to help build or repair starships. Despite its relatively plain appearance, this facility is key to several of the company's research and development efforts, especially in collecting and analyzing competitor's and alien technology, and is home to a secret vault that securely holds this tech, including Ssi-Ruuvi wreckage gathered during its assault on the First Order and esoteric tech including several near-ancient Chiss charrics and Sith Artifacts gathered by Admiral Quee during his expeditions into the Unknown Regions. Perhaps the crown jewel of this collection is the original Sith Empire Torrential Hyperdrive Booster found by Admiral Quee during the Stygian Caldera rebellion.

Lucerne Personal Defense Sector: Lucerne Personal Defense maintains a relatively small office here in terms of personnel, but its section is host to a significant automated factory that produces personal arms, armour, and equipment for direct Directorate use. The other significant part of its section is dedicated to a warehouse where such equipment is stored until it is properly distributed to the Directorate's forces or other buyers.

Lucerne Biological Systems Sector: Lucerne Biological Systems is small yet vital company to the Directorate, and its holdings within the Waystation explain its place in the Waystation next to many of the Directorate Shock Marine's barracks. In this sector, LBS continues to conduct research in genetic animal and plant modification, pharmaceuticals, and related fields. It also has a limited cloning facility which ostensibly is only used to create modified animals, though a dark rumor persists that it has also produced clones of all of the Directorate's leaders.

SoroSuub Sector: SoroSuub maintains a subsidiary branch office on the Waystation, allowing it to coordinate some of its efforts with other Directorate members and participate in cross-company research initiatives. This section also hosts several factories as well as a contingent of Sullustan Troopers and private hangar bays for SoroSuub freighters and executives. Many of its workers live in "Little Byllurun".

RingoVinda Systems Sector: RingoVinda Staryards & Systems has an office, factory, and small craft shipyard onboard. Unlike many the other companies on the Waystation, the RingoVinda Systems section has a show-room which showcases many of its new technologies, which it tends to seamlessly introduce into its sections of the station. Currently, the show-room area demonstrates the benefits of the Tabord Molecular Toilet, the Poultryizer Molecular Shower, the Sabrina Waste-Heat Recovery device, the Unkajah ammunition vending machine, and the Roto-Rooter autochef. These last two devices have gathered a small but steady interest from the freelancers that work in or with the Directorate; few of them are interested in the daily hassle of making meals and one can never have too much ammunition when conducting risky business.

Yusanic Ironworks and Forge Shop: Yusanic Ironworks and Forge maintains a relatively small shop on the Waystation. This workship has a forge and all of the tools needed to forge their high quality arms and armor, along with a materials storage area.

Freelancer Sector: While a half-dozen major corporations form the core of the Directorate, it also has hundreds of smaller companies or constituent organizations that members or long-term associates, including the Claatuvac Guild. Gir Quee's long-time membership in the Lantillian Spacer's Brotherhood has also ensured that this guild also has a section of the station on it reserved for its members, complete with lodging, refueling, and maintenance bays. Countless other subtractors to these outfits and freelancer associates of Directorate companies/organizations have their home as well, making it more of the rough and tumble side of the station, with some more 'gray' dealings occurring in its hangar stations that make it a little more looser and seedier than the rest of the station to the point where it is sometimes called "Little Nar Shaddaa" or the "Directorate Shadow port" by its inhabitants (Critics to that are quick to point out that the presence of Directorate Shock Marines in the streets makes law and order enforced and "mostly respectable"). Notable spacers and fringers who make this area home include Dav Hannser and his motley crew. Unknown to most, the Freelancer Sector is also home to several Directorate intelligence safe houses, which allow agents to better blend in and out with the spacer crowds during their visits to Directorate High Command.

Miniature Cities
In order to make life more comfortable and homelike for the station's denizens, several of the larger asteroids that were joined to the nascent station were hollowed out to make artificial habitats that resembling some of their common homeworlds, down to building architecture and weather phenomena. Each cavity is about 7-8 kilometers in their largest diameter, providing a significant feeling of relief from the claustrophobia typical of space travel.

Little Byllurun: Modeled on the capital city of Sullust, Little Byllurun is also known as the "SoroSuub Hub" by the other inhabitants of the Waystation. Most of this section actually was made out of an asteroid with volcanic origin, and much of this original rock facing remains in this warren-like area. Areas within this area tend to be considered claustrophobic to most inhabitants, but comfortable and homelike for many of the Sullustans who continue to work for SoroSuub on this station. Despite its ties to SoroSuub through its many Sullustan inhabitants, many non-Sullustans come to get custom tech modifications performed by skilled Sullustan techs or to exchange technologies and the latest gadgets.

Little Aldera: Despite its name, Little Aldera is not built in emulation of Aldera, but instead is a synthesis of common cultural aesthetics found on Alderaan, notably large areas of open green spaces with long grass smattered with clumps of Hydenock trees and Oro saplings. Buildings within this cavern have smooth, flowing organic lines and make extensive use of glass and light, neutral colors. On the Waystation, Little Aldera is known for its upscale restaurants, art galleries, and other fine culture activities.

Little Coral City: This area of the station is modeled on Dac's capital city, and consists of coral structures anchored in a large reservoir of water. Thanks to a partnership with Lucerne Biological Systems, a number of fauna once found on Dac can also be found in its waters, including Pliffer Fish and Trumpet Weed. With the Sith Empire's annexation and destruction of much of Dac, it has become a comfortable refuge from many refugees from that world, especially the employees and their families that work at Mon Calamari Shipyards. Unknownst but to a few, it also has several mollusks that once were part of that world's famed Knowledge Bank.

Little Northport: An Echani enclave away from the Six Sisters, this area is mostly populated by Echani in the employ of Eshan Industrial Corporation. It features surprisingly heavy duracrete construction along with mountainous terrain features to make it feel more like home on
Aurion. The center of Little Northport has a miniature battle arena, which is not only popular among the Echani on the station but also the more combat-inclined freelancers, and an classically elegant temple dedicated to the Moon. Echani Command also has an embassy located on the station in order to help provide services to its people and to help coordinate actions with the Directorate.

Faction Facilities
Although much of the station is outright owned by different corporations within the Directorate, there are some areas of the station that are specifically owned by the Directorate as an organization itself. Most of these are areas of common interest to its member companies and organizations, as befitting for a headquarters.

Council Chambers: This area is used for deliberation not only by the Directorate's executive officers who make up the Directorate Council, but also as a general conference area for any of the group's companies or for other organizations within the Directorate. It is frequently used to host diplomatic talks with foreign and allied governments as well as trade talks with companies and other economic-oriented organizations.

Directorate Security Forces Academy: Aside from typical university classes, the Academy also provides specialized courses that endeavor to provide its students with specialized technical and vocational knowledge to make them competent uniformed officers within the Directorate's forces. The faculty is comprised of some of the Directorate's more experienced officers, many of whom come from a variety of backgrounds, ranging from old core world Galactic Republic naval officers to independent scouts used to living on the fringes of civilization. Unknown to most, not all students end up in Directorate military service - some of the more technically advanced move on to work in company-based research and development or end up in the Directorate's shadowy intelligence organizations.

Penitentiary: Most prisoners captured by the Directorate are turned over to local authorities. But there are instances where this simply isn't appropriate, such as deep space pirates, despotic warlords, or darkside force-users. These special prisoners end up in the Penitentiary, which is noticeably distinct from the various brigs found elsewhere in the station, because of the danger they pose or the complicated political ramifications they may hold. Depending on their abilities, prisoners might be housed in a normal cell block, in energy cages, or frozen in carbonite. Security through this area is mostly based on security through obscurity - the penitentary is entirely a black site situated in the middle of a major Directorate Shock Marine Regiment barracks facility. Officially, the marines are present just as a normal part of the station's security, though their main job is to actually keep the prisoner's secured. The area is rigged to detonate with thermal imploders just in case of an escape attempt. As a black site, usually the only visitors are high-ranking Directorate officers or intelligence operatives along interrogation teams whom come to gather more information from their prisoners.

Medical Center: As the Waystation is almost a world into itself, it comes as little surprise that it has many of the facilities more likely to be found in a large city rather than a space station: the Medical Center is a good example of this, providing all of the medical services of a Sector-grade medical facilities and capable of supporting almost a thousand inpatients. Unsurprisingly, most patients are either employees of Directorate affiliated companies or the Directorate organization itself. Aside from providing medical services, the Medical Center is also known for its research efforts with Lucerne Biological Systems in developing new medicines and treatment abilities, as well as a medical droid testing facility.

Astronavigation Suite: The Directorate has inherent interests in mapping and maintaining extensive navigational charts for almost all known regions of space. The navigational suite holds this data in banks of supercomputers, along with programs to analyze this data to plan for new routes or to gather information on new worlds to explore. Much of this data is common commercial data that almost any spacer has access to through BoSS or through large galactic governments, but the Directorate also has charts that cover relatively unknown areas or which contain secret hyperlanes not known to most of the galaxy. Much of this more hidden knowledge is the result of the inclusion of the Claatuvac Guild within the Directorate's ranks and liaison with members of the Lantillian Spacers Brotherhood, but other information has filtered in through either contract scouts working for the Directorate, probes and probots, or exploration expeditions led by Directorate officers. Notable among this last group is Admiral Quee, who frequently enters the unexplored sections of space in search of the whereabouts of his long-lost parents.

VIP Suites: While there are numerous quarters and even some hotels on the Waystation, the Directorate itself also maintains a complex of luxury suites to hosts high-ranking guests that might come onboard the station for extended visits. Such guests might include diplomats, politicians, Jedi, corporate executives, and senior military officers. These suites have amenities comparable to upper end hotels found in the Core Worlds. Unlike many of those suites though, the Waystation's each have a private holoNet console as well as a separate general information console that provides information about activities going on within the station itself. Given the nature of these guests, security in the suite area is fairly tight - not only to ensure that the guests are safe, but also to ensure that they don't get 'lost' and end up in a sensitive area.
