Bryn'adul Invasion of Nar Kreeta

She had tried to shake them awake, but she could barely see them, and she was coughing and they weren't moving no matter how much she screamed at them to wake up. Her eyes burned and she knew they were dead.

Her next minutes were panic. She stumbled, running from the screams and the sounds and the snarls, she heard things, sharp whistling sounds very close to her head. It was all so blurry. But even she could see the fireballs erupting, could feel the ground shaking. She didn't know where she was.

The ground collapsed beneath her and she shrieked but her shriek couldn't be heard over the roar of The Bryn'adul murdering Nar Kreeta.

They'd been poor, she and her parents. Too poor to get the hell off the planet.

She smelled foul things. Dust and blood mixing in the air. Waste. Gore. Ozone. She would never know how many bolts and bullets had come 'this' close to killing her instantly. How many artillery strikes she evaded, how many Bryn Warriors had spotted her and moved in for the kill only to be distracted at the last second.

She struck her head as she fell, smacking into stuff that left scrapes and gashes as she fell, hitting a wall and screaming as she writhed on the ground, in pain and nearly blind. She pulled herself to her feet, unable to make out blurs more than a few meters ahead.

She didn't notice the sound of fighting had died down until she realized all she could hear was the sound of her own breathing and whimpering.

She thought she had fallen far underground...she certainly thought she had fallen quite aways, as she could barely pick up the sounds of fighting from above.

The girl smelled dust, but saw a faint glow ahead as she walked, too scared to do anything but think about going wherever there was no pain or death. Everything hurt and she didn't know what to do.

It hurt to move. Hurt to walk. She wanted her parents.

She stopped as she began to make out some type of pedestal ahead, blinking as the light grew brighter and hurt her eyes. As she got closer, she began to make out the shape better.

It was a crimson helm sporting a visor with a distinct "T" Shape.

She took it off the pedestal, wondering what one of their helmets was doing here?

What WAS this place?

She blinked and she was suddenly in a void of blue and black flames, getting the sensation of falling. She looked around, unable to move or scream, though she badly wanted to. Too much was happening and her brain couldn't process it.

She saw a figure, 'impossibly' larger than herself, striding forward in the distance. She thought it the size of a mountain.

It was larger than a mountain. Taller than the tallest building on Coruscant.

A figure wreathed in great bronze armor, one side of its torso masculine, the other feminine, but it's great armor was impossibly detailed, millions of Mandalorian helms carved into it's surface.

The girl stared, frozen into the impossibly gigantic T-Shaped Visor as it reflected her frozen form across it's glossy, mirror like surface that rippled with flame...

"Ge'tal!"

Red of Clan Mobius stirred awake in her hammock, close to the entrance of the hangar where her Starfighter was contained. It was on an old uncharted planet the Clan used as a hiding spot from time to time, having built a private airbase there. They didn't always use this place but it had been an off season.

Red blinked and spotted her brother, Sedrik, fully clad in his armor, with atypical colorings, completely red on one half, and completely green on the other. Red had her helmet, a bleached skull white in color covering her head. The rest of her was in a work jumpsuit with the sleeves rolled up.

"What is it?" Red asked.

"Uncle needs you up. Haran, of all the moments you're awake and nothing's required, one of the few times where it's really urgent, and you just happen to have picked that moment to go to actual sleep?" Sedrik grumbled uneasily, shaking his head.

Red, without a word of protest was already up, quickly putting on her armor, picking up her heavy beskar warhammer and putting it in a sling over her shoulder

Sedrik and she were then walking to the main fortified building her father was currently running operations out of. Red didn't ask any questions. It was close to dawn, and both moons were slowly vanishing as it spread.

A lot of her clan mates were already quite busy. She had only been asleep about two days of non stop work, with only food and water to break the pleasant, yet fiery monotony of the hammer's sing in the forge.

She didn't feel winded. She knew she should have been groggy as hell, that everywhere should be sore and knew that other's knew she shouldn't be up after working that hard.

Red grew disturbed as she walked by everyone. Two hours ago, it had been quiet, only her and the Nighttime watch and essential adade to keep the base safe up. Now everyone was moving, and urgently. She saw ammo crates being moved.

Some of the older ones gave her brief glances that chilled her to the bone as she passed by and she gave a slightly lower nod in response to her elders as she entered the building.

What the hell had happened in the two hours she had been asleep?

She passed by the banner of her clan, a red banner featuring a blue Mythosaur Skull positioned over a Mobius Strip.

She said a little prayer to the Oversoul in her head as she passed by it.

Her uncle waited in the med bay, clad in a black armor, a giant of a man that towered over most of the other Mandalorians in the camp, His fist alone was the size of her head and he bore a great battle-axe. He was second in command after the Alor, and her father was third.

She stopped, spotting one of her clan members who she was very close to, Tenno, lying on a bed, his chest bearing multiple shrapnel wounds.

Red's fist clenched.

"What happened, Uncle?" she asked professionally, though she went over to her dying friend's side. He wasn't conscious.

"It was an ambush, Red..." her uncle rumbled in a deep tone. "There's been some sort of attack on the Warrior's Forest. Your Father and The Alor are missing."

Red turned. "We were just there a few days ago. We used a stealth vessel. Did random jumps to shake any possible tails. We had enough harvest to keep the lights running another couple of months. Why did they go back to Mandalor?"

"I'm not certain. Kardys was acting real spooked. Wouldn't say what it was. He just roped your father into it while you were working. Tenno here went along, so did Grigori, Melu, and Chekran." Her Uncle answered grimly. "Tenno's the only one who came back. And he ain't gonna wake up."

"Did he say who ambushed them?"

"He said it was on Mandalore, and that the ones who did it were wearing old Neo-Crusader armor."

Red and her Uncle's attention were drawn back to the lifesign monitor, beeping faster. The Medics had done all they could.

She held the comatose Mandalorian's hand as his vitals plunged. Then he was gone.

Her brother clenched his fists.

"We will find our father and kill the bastards that did this." he swore.

8 hours later

The Davro-Class Light Freighter slipped out of hyperspace over Mandalor. Red with twelve others, including her brother. Her Uncle included.

They were going in force to The Warrior's Forest, but there was no need to compound their problems and make them worse via announcing. All they could do was pray the enemy didn't have a Crystal Grav-Field Trap...

Tenno had given her Uncle the coordinates to where they were ambushed, but still hadn't managed to tell what they had been doing here. The clan members were all mosre experienced then she in the ways of battle, but it was her armor that they used to protect themselves. Tenno's armor had held up actually quite magnificently under constant attack. It had taken frag grenade at close range to defeat the Armor.

It took some of the sting out of his death, as she was deeply afraid it had been some flaw she had missed in the forging. Tenno had been her friend. The idea that she had failed him in his hour of need had sent knives of pain into her heart. She had even examined it twice, after it had been removed from his body, had even gotten the opinion of the senior armorer to be certain it wasn't her failing him, just the enemy having the weapon necessary to defeat it.

Yet she still felt like she had failed him. If she had added more plating, or made the plating thicker, but how could she have without slowing him down? Tenno had never liked wearing heavy armor.

Back to the drawing board. Got to take into account close range explosive assault... she thought to herself guiltily, thankful her helmet hid her sorrow.

Just then, the alarm klaxons on the ship lit up.

"We're being tracked!" The Pilot yelled to her Uncle. "Ion Pulse Missiles inbound, closing fast!"

"Break for the surface! Where are they coming from?" Her Uncle ordered.

"Some sort of base in one of the mountains. In one of the most devastated sections of the planet. It's...its close to the Forest entrance, Sir."

"How long have they been there?! Why the hell didn't we pick them up before?!" her Uncle exclaimed.

The Pilot didn't answer, too busy trying to evade the wave of pulse missiles.

He didn't succeed.

The Electronics went dead as the missile struck, and the ship lost control after re-entry, getting hit again.

"BRACE FOR IMPACT!" her Uncle yelled.

Part of the Hull tore open, and she and a number of her clan mates were sucked into the open air.

(Character Theme Song Power Up)

(Theme: "Stand By Me" by Ben E. King)

Red regained consciousness, saw she was falling to the ground, and trapped in her crash webbing, and frantically reached for her knife to cut herself free, and saw at least five others were falling.

Her great strength aided the vibro knife and she ripped herself free afterward, attempted to activate her jet-pack.

Not good.

Red dived through the air, keeping her arms and legs together, desperately trying to reach her clan mates who were falling as she watched the ship go down.

She barely reached the first one and shook him, screaming at him to wake up.

He stirred, freaked out, and activated his rocket pack while she dived after the second, the ground rushing ever closer. She had to reach the second one, and she kept trying to reactivate her Jetpack to no avail.

She didn't think about her own terror as she reached the second falling member of her clan, who had already awoken and was having problems with his own jetpack. She reached him, and his comms were still out. He pointed frantically at his jet pack, and Red could see a gash on it, with some blown circuits. She grabbed a laser welder off her belt, her adrenaline spiking, trying to think, the tool shaking in her hands, and it almost slipped out, and she frantically managed to hold on at the last second, even as she struggled to hold on to her fellow clan mate.

She reoriented herself, and prayed the temporay fix she was applying to the blown wires she saw, by-passing blown circuits wouldn't make the jetpack explode. She couldn't even apply sealant to the gash...

Her Hud came back on line and she suddenly got frantic comms transmissions from everybody. The ship had taken critical damage and a crash landing was inevitable.

She tapped into the comms of the Mandalorian she was holding onto.

"Don't turn this on until you're fifteen hundred meters from the ground! Land as soon as you can! I don't know how much stress your pack can take!" Red yelled, before letting go of him and diving after the third.

One thruster in her jetpack sputtered on, and she was struggling to stay flying as she quickly caught up to him, shutting her pack off, desperately shaking him. It took actively smacking his helmet with her own to stir him. He was severely disoriented at first, flaying about before he came to his senses and remembered, giving the thumbs up. She let go of him and went diving again, the ground now rushing towards her faster, getting terrifyingly closer.

Her heart sank as she saw the spike of debris that had punched through the visor with such force it had exited out the back of his helmet. Two left. She activated her jetpack out of desperation and it worked in sputters at irregular intervals as she raced toward them. one minute to impact.

She caught up to the second to last Mandalorian, desperately shaking at her.

"WAKE UP!" Red yelled. "WAKE UP, DAMMIT!"

The woman would not stir, and Red pulled her close and activated her pack again, racing down with her in tow. 30 seconds to impact for the one at the bottom.

Red diverted all power to her still working thruster as she sped toward the ground, firing her magnetic grapple cable at the leg of the remaining unconscious Mandalorian (Who she realized in terror was her brother) and it wrapped around his leg as she tried to steer away from the ground, the thrust of the pack began to slowly turn them away from the ground and to the horizon but they were still falling too fast.

Red saw the jetpack of the one she held looked undamaged, and in desperation she managed to hit the activation button on the unconscious Mandalorian's gauntlet by smashing against it with her belly.

The sudden thrust rocketed them in a sudden upswing away from the ground at the last second , but it was uncontrolled and she was trailing her brother behind them both. She cut the thrust to her own rocket and they started to descend. Her brother was close enough to the ground passing by she decided to risk it and cut the cord, letting him skip roughly across the ground for a mercifully short second and a half.

Red made sure she was the one whose body was closest to the ground, as she carefully fired her jetpack thruster intermitantly, trying to shut off the unconscious Mandalorian's jetpack.

Thats when her own thruster partly exploded from the over stress and they descended.

Red managed to at last shut off the jetpack just as the unconscious woman started to stir.

"Huh?" she barely manged to get out as Red tried to shield her from the sudden impact.

They both skipped across the ground violently for a few seconds and Red blacked out, her visor partly shattering.

When she came two, she felt nothting but pain.

Her HUD told the story. Multiple bruises, and a broken leg and hand. The Oversoul was harsh, and had rewarded her faith with pain. But also Life. Red wasn't complaining.

Red spotted the Mandalorian she had fallen with, and in spite of the pain, she dragged herself over to the other Mandalorian, tried to shake her with her good arm. No response.

Red dragged herself up to the head of the woman, and pulled the helmet off after undoing the seals.

Her fellow kin was dead. Zereda. They went on runs for Ciridium shipments together. The neck had likely snapped on impact.

Red looked and saw the Mandalorian whose pack she had made emergency repairs to get closer, flying through the air, he reoriented and started to dial the thrust down for a landing.

He was literally a second from feet touching the earth when his jetpack exploded and Red let out a shout of rage at herself.

One thousand feet. She should have told him to activate it at one thousand feet. She had miscalculated.

Red turned away from the flaming corpse as it hit the earth violently, not wanting to remember Kollin like that.

"Anyone!?" she called out over her comms.

"Is anyone there?!"

Armour: Si'kahya Beskar'gam | Jorir Variant

Weapon: Orar Power Hammer

Grendel had been on the planet for nearly a week harassing and terrifying these so called "Neo-Crusaders" they had been trying to kill him but to no avail although his armour showed the tell tale signs of battle damage. He had seen the ship falling and made haste to render aide unfortunately he wouldn't make in time the best he could do is search for survivors and bury the dead.

"Anyone!?" she called out over her comms.

"Is anyone there?!"

"Aye there is" rumbled Grendel in the comms "Maintain your position I'll be there shortly, do you have wounded?". Flying in dangerously low in his ship The Bucket, the ship itself had been modified a bit to allow Grendel to move around comfortably that is to say everything was a lot bigger than normal. The ship coming in hard and fast landed 50 meters away from the signal source, the landing ramp opened hard in part because Grendel was moving forward at a dead sprint with a first aide bag in one massive hand and his Hammer in the other.

She heard chatter back from an unfamiliar voice. She knew it wasn't an enemy...their only response would have been a mortar strike.

"The ship...Ion pulse missile barrage from the mountains..." she coughed, trying to still her breathing. "Some of us got flung out of the ship. My Brother...Sedrik...I managed to catch him, but I dunno where he is..."

Red waited, seeing his ship touch down, watching the big burly Mandalorian come running.

"Whoever they are, they had a Crystal Gravfield Trap...our vessel was in stealth mode when it was shot down. Constant barrage...I don't even know if we're in their artillery range..."

Red spotted an assault shuttle in the distance.

"Artillery or not... whatever their range is, we aren't out of it..." she said, pointing to its direction so Grendel Krayt Grendel Krayt could make an estimate of their time table...

Grendel looked in the direction the young women was pointing and as much as he wanted to stay and break them the injured took priority, slinging his Hammer across his back Grendel scooped up the injured Mandalorin in the crook of his arm and make his way quickly back to the ship, there would be time later to bury and mourn the dead. Carefully Putting the women down in the Med bay and activating the med droid start treating the women, Grendel made his way to the cockpit and took off.

"The names Grendel" He called back. Getting the ship back into the air Grendel made haste to the canyon that he had set up base in. Flying close to the ground once more the ship slipped into the canyon out of sight out of mind and found the ledge where Grendel's base was located.

Red refused to cry out in pain even as the Droid worked on her. One mustn't ever hear a Mandalorian scream. It reminded their enemies they were mortal and lowered the morale of their fellows, at least, that is what she believed.

She wanted to go back, try to at least look for her brother, but even inexperienced as she was she knew it was tactical suicide.

"Ge'Tal. Of Clan Mobius." Red called back as they flew away, deeply worried for her clan.

When the ship touched down, Red pulled off her scuffed and damaged helmet battling an anxiety attack, and unable to wear her helmet at the moment.

Her short cut blonde hair was matted to her scalp, and though she tried to maintain a semblance of dignity to not embarrass herself in front of a fellow Mandalorian, but the Adrenaline of her experience had twisted her expression into something resembling a cornered animal as she stared at Grendel Krayt Grendel Krayt .

"We were here...to look for our Alor. He and his team who were ambushed by people wearing old Mandalorian Neo-Crusader Armor..."

OOC: Ge'Tal is what Red's name directly translates to in Mandalorian.

The massive Mandalorian towered over Red Mobius easily twice her size and then some, beckoned her to follow him they exited the ship in to a make shift camp the whole thing was very much like Grendel's ship spartan and built for his size alone, the most eye catching thing of the camp however was a large mound of bloody Neo-Crusader helmets stacked neatly in an alcove my the canyon wall.

"We were here...to look for our Alor. He and his team who were ambushed by people wearing old Mandalorian Neo-Crusader Armor..."

"I'm afraid I haven't met any others aside from the scum up their" Grendel rumbled "But first things first we shall eat and plan, you can't make war on an empty stomach".

Grendel handed Red a large bowl of Rancor stew and sat down on a handy rock with a bowl of his own and taking off his helmet so he could eat properly. He looked into the face of the young women noticing the lingering pain with the faint mark of anger, the anger would prove useful in the coming battles but she would need to temper it.

Red limped behind him, the Droids having set her leg and hand and giving her some Bacta patches. But she was not a hundred percent. She still hurt everywhere, yet the Oversoul balanced thus with generosity in the form of Grendel Krayt Grendel Krayt . She saw the mounds of helmets. Only a great Warrior could reclaim so much Mandalorian property from the Dishonorable. She would have to listen and do as he did.

She nodded respectfully. "Thank you." she said, sitting down. She took a bite and chewed.

"The base that hit our ship was high up in the mountains..." she said, not wasting the experienced warrior's time. "I think the only reason neither of us got pinched by artillery is we just happened to be out of range."

Red took another bite, chewed, swallowed, gathered her thoughts.

"I couldn't see any practical approach to that place while I was falling. It looks like the best way in is to fly in."

She ate some more.

"Fourteen of us in total. Me, my Brother, my Uncle... there's an underground Forest here, where my clan has harvested a special type of tree we have used along with a select few Clans in Light armor crafting for centuries. We had actually made a run here for the harvest just a month ago...the Forest is so deep underground it's protected from the devastations above. We think whoever ambushed us is looking to poach..."

Staring into the fire Grendel thought for a moment before grinning ear to ear the best plan had been thought of.

"Well from what you say it seems you and your clan know this place better than anyone so hopefully your family made it to the forest" Grendel said in attempt to raise Red's spirits "I can think of 2 plans of attack, my personal favorite a good old fashioned frontal assault and hope any of your surviving clan members sees the chaos and join in or option 2 we find a way to sneak in under cover of darkness unless you know of another way into the forest?"

Red thought about it a moment.

"They might have made it into the Forest...but as to another entrance..."

Red paused trying to remember...the Adrenaline still coursing through her system.

"I saw a hidden secondary entrance here...real long time ago, when I was a kid. But we haven't used it in years...still, better than nothing...I'll take you to it...just need to gather my wits and remember the route...it's been a real long time..."

Red pinched the bridge of her nose, trying to think. She tried to remember all the landmarks.

"The route...it should be about forty minutes from here..." Red said, somewhat uncertain. "Mind you...it's been a while..."

With his blood beginning to race and grinning like an idiot like he so often did before a fight Grendel began to prep his weapons and armour going over a damage and repairing them unfortunately not even thinking about asking Red for help. A thought crossed his mind it this would be the perfect chance to test his new Shotgun.

"If you need any gear feel free to take it from the ship. We shall head out when you think you're good to go, plus I've no idea where we're going"

"I'll need it...my hammer was ripped off the sling when I got ripped out of the ship..." Red replied, not wasting time. She finished eating and then limped back to his ship, retrieving a DC-15A Blaster Rifle, a vibroknife, and some grenades

She then pointed to a path out of the canyon.

"We have to go down that route..." she explained, trudging off slowly, mind racing with fear for her clan...

Grinning as he put his helmet back on and heading in to the ship to retrieve the shotgun from the unopened crate in the armory, checking to make sure every thing was in order and slamming home a fresh mag into the shotgun Grendel headed back out and headed after red but not before picking up his hammer. As they walked down the route Grendel noticed that Red was limping a little, thinking that may slow them down a little Grendel scooped Red up as gently as he could and put her on his shoulders and began to jog at a faster rate.

"Sorry about this Thought your leg may still me sore" Grendel said "Just tell me where to go"

Red didn't question the will of The Oversoul as Grendel Krayt Grendel Krayt scooped her up, and without missing a beat immediately began pointing him in the proper direction.

As Grendel jogged, Red's eyes glanced under her helmet at something that wasn't there.

The Silent One, was what she called him. He was in Bronze Mandalorian Armor, and his simply being there...

...it usually meant something bad was going to happen.

Grendel wouldn't see him, as he was NOT there.

As Grendel jogged, so did The Silent One keep a silent pace, jogging alongside them both.

Red's nervousness increased. She began looking everywhere for enemies...and just as Grendel was about to reach the hidden entrance.

"Stop." Red requested, hopping off him and going to a rock face, trying to remember the way in, looking around for threats from everywhere. But it was too quiet.

Red at last remembered, reaching underneath the rock and flicking a hidden switch.

The rock face parted open.

(Zelda Unlocking Theme Plays)

Red limped in, her armor's repair systems starting to kick in. Once Krayt followed she shut it behind him and turned on her armor's targeting HUD,

It took some time, but they eventually creeped into a large, underground Valley.

"Welcome to The Warrior's Forest..." Red said.

It had great trees, black like obsidian. Bonsai-like. Large statues of Ancient Mandalorians Holding spears dotted the landscape, everything lit by bioluminescent mushrooms.

"Home of the original specimens of the Ori'ramikad Trees." Red said. "My Clan has guarded this Forest since it's discovery."

She went over to a white tree with red leaves.

"This is a dead one. But its petrified, so its even stronger..." she explained. "Excellent counter-ballistic properties."

Red then noticed a campsite in the distance, but it was impossible to tell who it was...

"This is a dead one. But its petrified, so its even stronger..." she explained. "Excellent counter-ballistic properties."

"Just looks like stone to me, but you're the expert does that mean you could make a shield out of it?" Grendel asked.

Looking in the direction Red was looking Grendel also spotted the fire, he thought for a moment before thinking of a plan.

"Red I've a plan, you approach the camp from the shadow using the trees as cover I'll make sure their attention is on me" Grendel suggested "Make sure to give me a shout if they are your people."

Walking down the path while making as much noise as possible Grendel only stopped when the figures turned to look at where the noise was coming from.

"Evening lads lovely night tonight" Grendel called out "Now you're gonna tell me weather your friend or foe if your foe that's gonna make life very difficult for you."

"A Shield? You could make a Vibrosword from this stuff..." Red answered Grendel Krayt Grendel Krayt .

When he proposed his plan, Red thought about it before nodding, and limped as quietly as she could to the Tree line, trying to make out who was at the campfire as Krayt called out to them. But the tree line was thick and she couldn't discern who. She saw movement. The cocking of a shotgun.

"Friend..." called out a familiar, deep voice, suspicious. "Step out into the light a bit more. But Manda watch me, I see you wearing anything that even looks like Neo Crusader Armor and I will kill you."

"Wait!" Red called out coming out from the Tree Line slowly to avoid panicking her clan.

She saw the source of the voice, her adoptive Uncle, in his black armor, a giant almost as big as Grendel. He was the only uninjured one of the bunch, other Mandalorians had their arms in a sling, or the armor was heavily damaged. No sign of her brother.

"Ge'Tal, is that you?" one of them called out.

"It is!" Red yelled, hopping down, recognizing all of them.

"It's okay, Uncle. He saved my life. He's not an enemy." Red explained.

Her Uncle lowered the shotgun. Slightly.

"Alright. We trust him. For now." her Uncle replied before turning to him.

"Apologies for the cold reception. You're the first person outside my Clan today that hasn't tried to kill me upon sighting." her Uncle explained to Grendel, pointing to the pile of bloody Neo-Crusader Mandalorian Armor stripped from their owners.

"It's not fake, the armor. That's real Beskar'gam, done in the old style..." her Uncle said. "We attempted to communicate at first. Try and figure out why they were attacking us. All attempts at communicating were rebuffed. This Clan doesn't make a habit of picking fights with other clans...but I'm not even really sure who they could be. They're too aggressive to be mere poachers. And they hit us with such precision during our initial infiltration attempts...but their fighting method seems more "corporate" to me for some reason. They use tactics I seen ESPO Troops use in the past. Just different enough though to make me guess."

Red folded her arms. "Who the feth could we have pissed off at CSA?"

Her Uncle only shrugged. "No one. Absolutely no one. But the tactics are very similar to ESPO. Fast, Hard, Clear the area as quickly as possible...not degenerates save in the sense they are thieves and murderers who have transgressed on our Clan. It's one thing to strike a Mandalorian unprovoked. Its another to do it while wearing the property of their people. For this insult alone they must be killed to the last..." he trailed, handing her the Master of Ceremonies.

"You dropped this..." he said.

Red took it, instantly feeling better about life, particularly since the Hammer would allow her to turn the last seconds of her enemies wretched existence into a Gallagher concert.

Her Uncle perked up, as an explosion rang out in the distance.

"More Incoming!" Her Uncle said, hefting his shotgun.

"Huge One! Show us why my Niece trusts you!" he said as the first teams of the mysterious enemy in the stolen armor could be seen closing in on their camp, armed with assault rifles and Drones armed with blasters.

Red tentatively fired at them using her Rifle, but had great trouble hitting them due to the kick of the weapon. Still, she kept at it, even as blaster fire started to pelt the camp site until she hit one finally...

"Now for the next scumbag. FOR CLAN MOBIUS!" Red yelled, firing again as her clan mates joined in with their own Rifles.

Grendel let out a thunderous roar that seemed to sake the forest itself as he charged towards the Neo-Crusaders slowly at first but quickly picking up speed, the majority of the enemy began to focus fire on the charging behemoth coming straight for them their shots either missing Grendel or hitting his massive bulk but it was like stopping an avalanche. Grendel crashed in to the mob like a thunderbolt knocking a few to the ground the unlucky ones crushed under Grendel's feet, swinging his Hammer in both hands in a horizontal arc in front of him a quick minded Neo-Crusader ducked under the swing. However his friend was not so quick as the full might of Grendel connected with the poor man the kinetite generator in the Hammer going off on impact spending the now broken body flying with such force the only thing keeping the Neo-Crusader together was his armour as he slammed through a Ori'ramikad Tree.

The Neo-Crusader that ducked drew a vibro sword and stabbed Grendel through one of the gapes in his armour, this was the man's last mistake as Grendel let out a grunt of pain and reached down and with his monstrous strength also aided with one of the pair of Crushgaunt he was wearing crushed both the man's head along with his beskar helmet leaving it a crumpled mess.

Red fired her rifle until a too close shot made her duck but clipped her rifle, damaging it. She tossed it aside, cursing but remembered she had her Pistol.

She drew it, and began firing it's standard rounds, moving forward to cover Grendel Krayt Grendel Krayt , the rest of her wounded clan shooting at the more Heavily armed ones. One of the Neo-Crusaders tackled her from above, knocking her pistol away. She grabbed the armored man as he slammed his elbow into her helmet as hard as he could, stunning her but in her struggle with him, she saw his knife, pulled it from the sheath, and drove it into his armpit, making him scream as she kicked him off, grabbing her hammer and bringing it down on his head in a swift, heavy blow that caved the feth's head in.

She scrambled for her pistol, drawing it and firing. Her Uncle was killing targets with his Class D Disruptor Pistol, which vaped multiple people, while her wounded clan took one casualty from afar with a sniper rifle, and her heart sank, though it was swiftly inflated by raw, seething hatred for who had killed one of her family.

She spotted him in the distance, the shooter, she dived for one of the enemy blaster rifles and swung it on him, opening fire in a last ditch effort.

The bolt smacked square into the Shooter's visor and Red had no time to celebrate, too busy shooting at anyone who might be drawing a bead on Grendel Krayt, awestruck at how effortless he made it look.

Would she ever get that skilled?

Red wanted to. She vowed it.

She scrambled back up, she and her clan having a better hold of things. The enemy was gradually starting to fall back.

"Hey Ge'tal! He likes to kill people with Hammers too!" Her Uncle noted, vaping another Neo-Crusader.

"Serendipity, I guess!" Red called back, blasting another...

"Aye, face to face with hammer in hand is the best way for a Mandalorian to fight" Grendel called out over the din of battle. Swinging his hammer with brutal efficiency killing at least one Neo-crusader with each swing and sending their broken bodies flying Grendel was starting to move forward all the while taking more and more fire. At least they're starting to focus more me he thought means less of Red's clan will die hopefully, plucking an idiot out of the air by the leg as he tried to get away via jet pack Grendel began to use them as a secondary 'hammer' and swung even harder.

Grendel didn't notice the heavy weapons being prepped on the edge of the fight, he did notice when 2 rockets streaked through the air one slamming into his chest plate the other stopping short several feet and impacting the ground both of the resulting explosions being more than enough to flip and throw the nearly one ton Mandalorian a few dozen feet backwards. landing hard and very nearly crushing Red's uncle Grendel started to get up after a few seconds of being unconscious, the first thing that registered in his mind was pain so much pain the second was one of his eyes wasn't working and the third being a pounding headache and the ringing in his ears

Struggling to his feet while using the hammer as support the battlefield seemed to stop for a moment both sides stopping to look at the massive warrior slowly rising to his feet like a titian of old with dozen of wounds about his body. looking down at his chest Grendel saw that his chest plate had taken most of the damage but was now useless and its felt like he had at least a dozen cracked ribs at least although he could be sure he'd need someone to have a look, a Neo-crusader pointed and seemed to yell something and a few of the ones in the back began to run Grendel for his part let out a truly savage roar and began to slowly advance with rage in his eye.

Red downed another Neo Crusader, this time with her big freaking hammer. That made four so far. But her clan was rallying, shooting up more and more of these vermin. She saw Grendel advance and tossed her hammer at another "Neo Crusader", killing him instantly.

The Hammer returned back to her via a repulsorlift mechanism, and she managed to turn in time to block vicious strikes from an electrostaff, and she brute forced her way into a weapon lock, knocking the staff aside and driving the spike of the hammer into his gut repeatedly.

The Neo Crusaders sounded the retreat, having taken severe losses, and began to retreat, with only the ones in front of Grendel Krayt Grendel Krayt still assuredly dead men walking. Red grabbed a disruptor pistol and shot three as they fled.

Red watched as the other ones fled, let Grendel get finished with his own massacre and then began scrounging for weapons off the enemy corpses.

"Uncle, any sign of my father or the Alor?" she asked.

"We saw traces of your father and the Alor when we arrived. We found one of Amar's pistols. As for your father, we found his datapad. It was code locked. Military encryption..."

Red took it as he held it out to her. Her Uncle turned to Grendel.

"I need to talk to you. Alone..." he said quietly...

Filled with rage Grendel dropped his hammer and picked up one of the Neo-Crusaders in front of him and with sound of grinding metal and tearing flesh Grendel tore the man in two, this display of incredible strength and violence convinced the remaining crusaders they wanted nothing to do with the monster in front of them and ran. Reaching up to his helm to figure out why he couldn't see from his right eye Grendel discovered a large piece of shrapnel embedded in his helmet and by extension his eye. Not realizing Red Mobius Red Mobius 's Uncle was beside him until he spoke.

"I need to talk to you. Alone..." he said quietly...

Limping after the man so they could have some privacy Grendel spoke up.

"So what do you need?" Grendel asked "Bare in mind I think I'll need a once over by a medic if possible before any more combat"
