TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

  • Classification: Power Hammer
  • Size: Very Large
  • Weight: Heavy
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • The head of the hammer is constructed with a kinetite generator to drive kinetic energy into kinetite charges, allowing the hammer to strike with thunderous force.
  • The haft of the hammer is wrapped in real leather for maximum comfort while you turn your foes organs to jelly.
  • A ring on the bottom of the haft allows the wielder to adorn the weapon with curios or charms of their liking.
STRENGTHS
  • Foe-Hammer: The kinetite generator allows the wielder to impact a foe with tremendous force that all but the heaviest of armors or sufficiently thick vehicle hulls may have difficulty withstanding.
  • Foe-Tosser: The kinetic force generated and released by this hammer, when applied correctly, may also throw foes off of their feet.
  • Saber Resistant: The beskar construction of the hammer helps protect the weapon, and potentially the wielder, from the blades of enemy lightsabers.
WEAKNESSES

  • Hefty Hefty Hefty: The Orar is one mean beast, but with that power comes a heavy burden. Literally. The weight of this hammer makes it nearly impossible for a baseline human to swing one-handed without the assistance of a powersuit.
  • Big Boy: The large size of the two-handed power hammer can make it difficult to wield effectively in cramped conditions.
  • Loud: The Orar hammer creates a loud crack on impact, like raging thunder, which earned it its name (orar meaning thunder in Mando'a). It should go without saying that a hammer, especially of this size, is not suited for stealth.
  • All Kinetic: All of the damage done by the Orar is delivered through kinetic energy, meaning armor and materials made to reduce kinetic energy greatly decrease the usefulness of the weapon.

DESCRIPTION
The inspiration behind the Orar Power Hammer came to Jiriad Galaar in the midst of a thunderstorm, whose cracks and booms he felt throughout his body. In Jarl Jiriad's own words, he wished to create a weapon that allowed his Mandalorian brethren to "harness the power of the Allfather" to bring ruin to their foes. While obviously metaphorical, it's hard to say that Odiir would be disappointed in the end result. While Jiriad designed and constructed the first Orar hammer himself, the production of further hammers is handled by the other smiths of Clan Galaar.

The Orar Power Hammer uses a kinetite generator to create charges of kinetic energy released on contact, unleashing thunderous impacts capable of sending Wookiees flying. While some power hammers are built as mining tools, the Orar is a purpose-built weapon of war, created to make short work of armor and organic nuisances rather than rock and metal veins. In addition to its obvious use against infantry, the Orar is also a fine weapon for taking on enemy vehicles, especially if used in tandem with a jump or jet pack to close the distance more quickly: its wielders will find it smashes hulls and bulkheads just as well as it does body armor, bones, and organs.

Though not modular beyond the leather wrapping on the haft, a ring on the bottom of the hammer's haft allows the owner to hang charms or curios of their liking. A common custom among the Valkyri of Clan Galaar is to attach a piece of metal or stone carved with Runian symbols of varying meanings. While not a very complicated weapon, none can doubt its power. So take up arms, and when you go to war bring the wrath of the heavens down upon your foes.
