Contigents of Jedi and Republic personnel had been assigned to the Galactic Courts of Justice Building. Rumors had spread throughout the upper echelons to the lowest levels of Coruscant city that, indeed, a high level figure from the Sith Empire had finally been found and brought to justice. Although how or when Darth Vazela had been captured or by who had yet to be circulated, indeed, the media frenzy that was currently happening around Supreme Court suggested that the majority of them were true.

Appearing along the horizon and above the Plains of Coruscant was a transport, from which it's emblem and directoary suggested that it belonged to the Jedi Order. It flew over the crowds of Coruscanti that had gathered along the perimeter, from which reporters and the like were updating viewers on events as they came in. The transport dropped onto the landing pad ajunction to the entrance to the Court Building.

Within it's confines, Darth Vazela rose to his feet. He was dressed in a dark garb, from which it's cowl was raised over his head. Hands to his sides, he averted his gaze briefly from the doors ahead to the left and right, his yellow, predatory eyes scanning the Jedi beside him before turning back to the door. As he did, they began to part into the sides and the ramp began to lower itself to the floor.

Nodding his head, more to himself than to the Jedi, he began to descend out of the enclosed space and into the light.

Doc had waded through the crowd outside the Galactic Courts of Justice building to attempt to get a better look at the shuttle carrying the prisoner in question. Behind him was a small hovering camera droid which was recording everything it saw and directly streaming it to Free Galaxy Radio listeners with video capabilities. Those that didn't would have to rely on information passed directly by Doc via a small blue tooth esq device he had in his ear.

"Hello Free Galaxy listeners. I've dragged my crew halfway across the Galaxy to cover the trial of one @[member="Vilox Pazela"] . Yet another darksider the Jedi have managed to snatch up in their travels. Apparently he's a pretty nasty dude. War criminal type. I'm going to try to get closer, be back in a bit."

Doc caught a brief glimpse of the dark garbed humanoid before he was led into the building. He needed to get a closer look at the proceedings. The clone moved quickly through the crowd toward the main doors, where a few police officers and soldiers stood standing guard.

Great.

He approached them as he was sure many other reporters had that day and started as charismatically as he could.

"I need to get in there."

"No you don't."

"Come'on man. Got a lot of listeners who want to know what's going on, I won't be an issue, scout's honor."

"Negative, back up sir."

Doc knew these grunts were unlikely to let him in. He knew if he were in their shoes he wouldn't. He needed a Jedi to help him get in to the actual trial. He knew just the one.

Doc moved away from the noise a bit and pulled out his holophone, entering @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] 's number.

Yusan himself sat in the court building's trial room before taking out a datapad, in truth minus a few guards he was one of the first there mainly to oversee such a trial as this one. It wasnt required he be there but he thought being there would probably be better than being ignorant of what passed today, he was also interested to see what punishment was given to this man...

Jorga the Hutt

When life gives you Mandos, make Mando'ade
The Senator for Eshan, his Lightbringer sensor node at hand, waited and watched. @[member="Persephone Callas"] was head of the Judiciary Committee; it was her job to oversee all these things.

I watched from outside the Senate. With the big screen's everywhere producing sharp images of the man I had once fought along side. Dressed in my Armor, I had a set of black robes wrapped around me. Covering the armor, but with my helm off, and the hood down, I didn't look as like a bad guy. Even sometimes there was a slight breeze and because of this, some of the people outside were cold. but while I was nice and warm. I let the wrapped cloak cover me as though I was. I was armed to the teeth. As everyone was standing outside, it was hard for people not to have a weapon with you. And its not like there was a rule against having one in the open public. Was there?

Regardless, I was here. watching Vazela's Court hearing about his dealings with the Empire, The Dark Jedi And the Republic. But I had something to say about that. Possibly.

@[member="Vilox Pazela"]

Vulpesen stepped in by Vazela's side. Having faced his near atrocities on the planet of Togoria just a few years prior, Vulpesen was completely aware of what this man was capable of. This awareness had also caused him to be more that willing to serve as both a guard and a witness. If @[member="Vilox Pazela"] was sincere about turning, then he would be happy to help with the healing. However, he also wished for him to serve his time. This sith had attempted to massacre hundreds on innocents and it had taken some quick thinking to stop that. No, if he wanted to join the republic, he would have to fight for the right and trust, as Vulpesen was not willing to give it out so freely as the sith must have been hoping.

Alan

Blessed are the peacemakers
Tracyn stepped forward, moving past the security at the courtroom. They stopped. A cloaked Jedi wearing Ori'ramikad armor set off a lot of alarms in the minds of the security. Tracyn reached into his pocket, and removed his lightsaber, and stared at the security guard while they ran through facial recognition. The man turned deathly pale, before nodding and parting for the Jedi. Tracyn moved forward, and eventually stood outside the courtroom, before slowly walking in. He locked eyes with @Darth Vazela, before moving further inward, hopefully bypassing the other Jedi with him, and he hoped that @[member="Vulpesen"] didn't notice him on the way in.

He sat in the courtroom with the mass of people, and waited. He simply waited, and folded his hands together. He left his crushgaunts on his belt.

He waited for Vazela to show his face.

Wind rippled and blew throughout the open space as the hooded Sith Lord and his Jedi escorts continued their walk away from the Jedi transport towards the building ahead. The sound was almost defeaning around the area. Vazela could feel the literal anger oozing from each Coruscanti who shouted for him to be executed and other forms of justice that he deserved, conceding that the actions he had taken as Darth Vazela deserved it all.

They turned into the entrance of the justice build, the hooded dark figure disappearing out of the sun light and back into relative darkness. Eyes set ahead, looking at nothing in particular, he came to a stop, waiting for Vulpesen and the other Jedi to guide him towards the court he would be trialed in. As he waited, his hands lifted to the cowl of his dark robes and lowered it from his head to reveal his face, hair and eyes. His hands returned to his side soon afterwards.

Carona Totsari

It takes true strengh to turn the other cheek
Carona watched the trial from a distance, the mute Padawan watched with wide eyes. She had heard several times of what he had done and what he was capable of. The mute togruta was taken aback though still by how many people screamed and cursed at the Sith.

Outside, she wished she had a voice to do the same. Inside, she knew better. She knew that everybody deserved a second chance, no matter what they did. And while yes, she felt that the Sith needed to pay, she still thought that death was not the way to go.

All she did right now though was cover her ears... still too noisy!

I smiled as the man was led into the Jedi Building. With so many people here, If what I wanted to do was possible, I would have hell to pay. I walked through the crowds to get close to the holo images of what was transpiring. And, the screens were placed in front of the building where the doors were. Mistake one, Never walk through the front doors. Smiling I allowed my face to be seen. THere was a chance that someone from my past may recognize me, but I doubted that as I had been gone for a while in the shadows. After His capture, I left to go into shadows once more just in case if they were to search for me as well.

But now, I was back for a reason.

"A call to order!" Came the announcement as the Senator of Hapes, Duch'a Persepone Callas, the head of the Judiciary Commitiee came in. Bedecked from head to toe with Hapan silk and regalia, the auburn haired noble took her seat.

This would be an interesting trial-- and likely set a presedent. Her expression was rather cold and stern for such a young Duch'a, but there was no denying her beauty.

With cool aquamarine eyes she finally spoke, " I call this trial into session. "

The Sith Lord was led into the court room, from which the ceiling seemingly streched on forever. Seats lined to the sides as Vazela walked forwards, Vulpesen to one side, as well as other Jedi. He briefly turned his gaze to Carona Totsari, the younger Jedi out of all of the escorts that was beside the Jedi Master he had fought on Togoria. He gave her a small, kind smile before averting his gaze towards Persephone Callas. He came to a stop to listen to her, before walking around the docks and up the plight of stairs that led to a podium center to the court. He came to a stop on top of the podium, lifting his gaze to the Senator of Hapes, who found herself raised in a higher position.

Here, he waited for proceedings to begin.

@[member="Vilox Pazela"] @[member="Persephone Callas"]

Talon came in as the proceedings began and took a seat. He was here of his own accord to see what would become of one of his former Sith Masters. He was there when Vilox asked to come into the light. His eyes were not the sickly yellow they had been, but Talon was still wondering how he would handle the Judicial systems..."handling" of his case. His emerald green eyes watched as the Judiciary Committee chairman began. What would come of his once Master.

It was in the interests of The Order and The Republic that she was here. Kiskla was, unfortunately, largely unaware of the crimes @[member="Vilox Pazela"] had committed. At least, she had been up until an hour ago -- it was foolish to go into a trial with no knowledge of the subject. Therefore, she'd scraped up what she could on the holonet of the Dark Jedi, and considered the meeting he had called with the council, seeking more information on Ashin Varanin.

He hadn't received it, because they'd none to give.

He did, however, tip off the Jedi about an up-and-coming sith cult that called themselves by the Sith Council. And he rattled off a list of names their leader, apparently a Darth Iscariot had called himself. Kiskla recalled her reaction to this information; she had played it suave but in reality she'd been slightly horrified. Her initial reaction was to say 'No, sounds like a weirdo to me' but by the grace of the gods the youth refrained.

So, here she sat amongst the other members of The Republic. Her blonde hair was loose, and tumbled just below her shoulders. Long legs were crossed, and since this was a matter that The Jedi Council may be invited to pitch into, she was unfortunately donning her hideously traditional Ossus robes.

All rose then sat respectfully as order came to the court. From the right side of the head of the Judiciary committee, the following attendee spoke.

"We hereby call @[member="Vilox Pazela"] to stand for trial on the basis of..."

OOCly:

Feel free to state just what you are being tried for --- :p

The Jedi Knight watched as the trial began. It started off by them calling Vilox Pazela to trial for whatever crimes he had committed. He had never even heard of the Dark Jedi Master before, never even seem him, but he did come because he was curious. It was his first time watching a trial go underway. His first time even being in such a building. He could only wonder what a powerful force user such as @[member="Vilox Pazela"] was doing captured.

"Do you know why he is being trialled, Master @[member="Kiskla Grayson"]." He asked, without looking to the Jedi Master at his side. "Besides being a practitioner of the Dark Side."

| @[member="Vulpesen"] | @[member="Sarge Potteiger"] | @[member="Kiskla Grayson"] | @[member="Daella Apparine"] | @[member="Ashin Varanin"] | @[member="Spencer Jacobs"] | @[member="Gerion Ardik"] | @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] | @[member="Carn Dista"] | @[member="CC-420 Doc"] | @[member="Yusan Fenn"] | @[member="Tracyn Ordo"] | @[member="Bard of the Hyperlanes"] | @[member="Solrune"] | @[member="Vulpesen"] | @[member="Persephone Callas"] | @[member="Carona Totsari"] |

Vazela lifted his gaze to Persephone Callas, cocking his head to the left as he studied her. As he did so, one of the Jedi left his side, walking by Vulpesen and his apprentice Carona Totsari, towards one of the judicial guards. An exchange took place, as the Jedi passed a datapad to him. The man nodded and turned, ascending the steps to Persephone to pass it over to her. Upon activation, it would list his crimes, which would no doubt be read aloud by his judge.

The majority of it was to be expected: a war criminal of the Sith Empire, leader of the Sith Empire for fulfilling his role as a Sith Lord, the conflict on Metalorn, conspiracy to commit murder and so forth. Out of all of them, concrete proof as provided by the accounts of Jedi Master Vulpesen and Jedi Knight Tracyn Ordo in regards to the conflicts on Togoria, where the former Sith Lord gathered thousands of Togorians with the intention to kill if the Jedi resistance cell, the Army of Light, did not surrender. After the crimes were read aloud, a question was posed to the Dark Jedi.

"How do you plead?"

To which came the reply, "Guilty."

He shouldn't have been surprised, honestly, that the Sith pleaded guilty. After all, they delighted in the wrongs they did. Still, that didn't stop him from being, well... surprised. Sometimes, he'd found, you could easily be surprised by what you expected; if only because you were hoping for a different outcome.

In truth, he'd almost hoped the Sith would plead not guilty, if only because it would be amusing to hear the rationales. Still, as his eyes scanned the clones that made up security, he found his eyes dropping. He wondered, as most Jedi would, if this man were redeemable.

Was he admitting guilt simply because he was captured? Or was he admitting guilt in the hopes of one day returning from his Dark Path. It puzzled him in a way he couldn't explain, if only because he had imagined the Sith would make a mess of the trial. Trying to prove his innocence just to keep people tied up in his affairs.

That sounded Sith.

Admitting guilt at the start of a trial which focused solely on him... no, something wasn't right about this. Where were the protests that the Republic was evil, or corrupt? Where was the shouting that Jedi were misguided. The Sith had a forum for which to shout his viewpoints to the heavens... and he wasn't.

Maybe he was just paranoid. He hoped he was just paranoid.

I watched from the Holo video of what was happening. Ready should something happen. The charges were listed off. and most of them I could fill myself with. And a few more that may have been slightly different. Part of me was rather surprised that even as a Sith lord, that this man had not a higher count of charges. Reguardless. I was even more surprised when he pled guilty.

Something was up. I knew it when he said it. Some Sith would have pled not guilty just to mess with the Jedi and to make the proceedings last longer. Maybe give them time to do something outrageous. But Vazala was something else. He was playing a dangerous game. and all these people, may have been merely pawns. However, I just wanted to see how everyone would react.
