@Anyone I missed, I apologize

The aftermath of Roche was one of heated diplomacy, the Mandalorians wished for blood to answer blood, while the Republic wished peace. As part of the peace process, the Mandalorians had insisted on a predominantly third party arbitration for former Supreme Commander Ali Hadrix for their charge of war crimes against her. The Republic, reeling from the public relations disaster of the Lasedri Coup, did not have the ability to deny. Instead, they decided to have the same third party arbitrate the charges of Conduct Unbecoming and Dereliction of Duty, so it wouldn't seem like the Republic was trying to pay only lip service to the peace process.

As part of the process, Khyros Sunblade, the Minister of Justice for the Galactic Republic, had rented out the entirety of a hotel on Aargonar, in Central City, with his own money. The employees were screened by Justice Ministry Marshals, and the Mandalorian and Silver Sanctum equivalents, and only those that passed the scrutiny of all three were allowed to work during the trial. The conference center in the hotel had been refitted to the specifications needed for the trial, and each of the parties were given their own floor of the hotel to secure with their own personnel, with at least one floor in between. Outside the hotel, Justice Ministry Marshals, Mandalorian Protectors, and Jedi from the Silver Sanctum worked in tandem with local law enforcement to make sure the area surrounding the hotel was secure.

Now, the day of the beginning of the proceedings had come, and Khyros waited in the modified conference center cum courtroom. When all parties were present, he would address them. His part in this was to see Justice done, even if that meant the Republic ended up looking bad. He understood that the Republic would never survive if it kept denying it's wrong doing, so he would bring it to light wherever he found it.

OOC
Alright, let's get this rolling. The pace will be set by the participants. Normally cases go Opening Statements, Prosecution Case, Defendant Case, Closing Statements, with witnesses and experts being called in the pertinent parts of the case.

Salt Warning: Keep the salt to as small an amount as possible. If necessary, I will ask the thread be closed and a ruling be made by either the Arbitration Council on the evidence given to that point, or by myself. I want this to be a great story, one that doesn't get to happen on Chaos very often. We are all on this site to have fun and escape from reality for a little while, do not ruin it for others.

Thank you, everyone, for participating in this. Let's write a story!

The call from Khyros Sunblade, Minister of Justice for the Galactic Republic, had taken Coci and Thurion by surprise. Never before had they been requested to sit in Arbitration at a trial, at least she had not and so this was to be a precedent. She did not relish the idea, not too many would, to be placed in a position that would determine the innocence or guilt of another, especially that of a ally. She had seen Ali Hadrix but once and even then had not spoken to her when the Silver Sanctum, at the request of the Jedi Order, had taken over Ossus to form protection over the Jedi planet.

The Oathkeeper, Thurion's personal ship, which had become their home away from home, had arrived and secured within the star port of Central City, Aargonar. They had made their way to the hotel and checked in. They had the entire floor to themselves, which Coci found to be eerie as there is hustle and bustle of normal hotel life. She does not deny the idea of spending time with her husband alone is not appealing but the circumstances are not convivial to relaxation.

The plush room would afford them everything they would need, Khyros had seen to that, but still she looked to Thurion with a look of uncertainty. "Well here we are", she said walking around the room inspecting nothing in particular. "What do we do now? just wait to be called?".

Coci soon found her husband's arms and rested against his chest, and gently squeezed him for comfort, more so for herself.

The way that the Field Marshal walked was menacing as he was angry that they would have to try a war criminal that had killed hundreds of civilians that were a mixed of Republic and Mandalorian. Truth be told, Vilaz cared less about the Republic citizens that were vented, but knowing that this wannabe Mandalorian had killed his brothers and sisters on Roche and there being a trial to establish her innocent or guilty of her actions created a source of anger that the Redneck fed on. How much he would love to try Ali in Mandalorian style. Instead of a defense team, a prosecution team, a jury, and a judge being involved in a "normal" court the defendant would have to fight against a Warrior chosen from, and the verdict would be official after the outcome of the brawl.

Outside of the hotel was Vilaz, dressed in his personal armor and his helmet off, who was smoking a cigarette away from the hotel due to the policy it had about smoking. He had come a few moments later when Coci and Thurion had arrived at the hotel, waiting to be called for the trial to be in session. He knew that Anija would be here, but went on his own vessel and left from Mandalorian Territory at a early time, and he made sure to notify Anija before coming to Aargonar. He just stood there, smoking his cigarette, hoping that Hadrix would be punished severely or condemned to death.

In Umbris Potestas Est
Vitor stepped into the building, wearing a grey suit he considered to be formal enough for a trial. As someone who, though a manufacturer of military equipment for the Republic, had not been an active participant in whatever had happened at Roche, he had chosen to sit on the arbitration council with regards to the trial of Ali Hadrix. Both sides appeared to have things confused, and he desired to get to the bottom of this so the hostility showcased by the Mandalorians against the Republic could be ended.

I can just tell it's gonna be one of those days...

"Are you certain the perimeter's secure?" Ali asked for the umpteenth time since they'd arrived. [member=Keira Ticon], the only woman to whose custody Ali had entrusted herself, stood across the bed from her. Ali had a pair of suitcases opened on the mattress in front of her and was drawing from it the outfit she'd decided to wear at the trial's start. [member=Matthew Mar'Tin], Ali's defense lawyer for the duration of the trial, was to meet her in the hotel lobby at some point that morning before heading to the conference room that would support the court proceedings.
"Bah, ignore me." Ali signed and waved her hand absentmindedly as she placed the rest of her clothes back into their cases for the duration of her stay. "I guess I'm just nervous." She'd lived out of a bag for years and despite the expected duration of the trial, couldn't stomach the thought of making herself at home here. This hotel could condemn me, she thought. Try to keep your mind in a positive place. A small voice told her. Ali lent it strength, reminding herself that the objective facts, along with her own testimony and that of others exonerated her. The trial would be an emotional one, and winning over the judges would be the defense's primary goal. The facts spoke for Ali, now she had to speak for herself, and speak well. Even so, she knew there were other forces actively working to tear away at the Republic. She held faith in the government to which she'd given so much of her life, but knew her own survival might eventually depend solely upon herself. As they say, walk into the room with a smile and a handshake...and a plan to kill everyone you meet. The old military saying came to mind but was gone in a flash; Ali refused to resort to such thinking at this point. It was too soon to gauge her situation, but she felt she could trust the oversight of the Silver Sanctum that represented a portion of the judging staff.

After resealing her bags, Ali reached back and undid the knot that held her blouse intact, then removed it along with the rest of her garments. Looking up at the woman in charge of protecting her, Ali wondered how much Keira missed her soldiers. A part of her felt bad for having drawn Ticon away from her duty to her clones; she felt a similar disparity with the Republic soldiers she'd come to love, or those of CSAF, with whom she'd been unable to spend much time.
Reaching for the emerald sheath-cut sleeveless skirt she'd chosen, Ali held it out before her and looked it up and down. A professional look was a necessity; she had a reputation before Roche of being a professional above all else, and it was a reputation she needed to maintain. While some had described her as rough around the edges, such qualities had only ever served to complete the objective set before her.
Ali wriggled herself into its frame and began working out its wrinkles. The dress was low cut at the chest with a wide shawl lapel sewn into its collar. The length was that of a working professional, ending just above the knees. Ali gathered her chocolate locks and deposed them evenly over her shoulders and down her back before slipping into a pair of black ankle-strapped licorice-style heels. "Well, I'm ready to head down, just need to let Mar'Tin know," Ali said, moving to the door and pulling the slate grey reefer overcoat she'd left hanging there when they'd arrived the night before. Activating her communicator, Ali keyed Matthew's commlink and set it on the dresser while she pinned a conservative set of studs into her ears and donned a beskar matching pendent and bracelet. "Mar'Tin, it's Hadrix, I'll be waiting in the lobby for you, I'm ready to head in." Ali looked over at Keira, smiling smally. "Shall we?" She asked, reaching for the briefcase at her feet by the door before stepping outside and into the hallway.

"Ma'am."

"What is it?"

"Message for you Ma'am. Something about an Arbitration Council to be held on Aargonar about the Roche Incident."

The conversation had been just that quick, and without a second thought the woman had already agreed to the proceedings, even before she knew what she had fully agreed to do, she found herself tunneling through hyperspace in the Astral Deva, the Cardinal class Corvette that she had become accustomed to using as a diplomatic vessel. That seemed as if it had happened ages ago, yet it was only mere days before she had arrived. She had hoped that she could have arrived sooner, though it wasn't until that moment that found her approaching the hotel.

Her mind had mulled over the thought of changing, though she felt it would be more appropriate to show in ceremonial armor, and unlike the Mandalorian whom found his time waster, her helmet remained on as she stepped towards the hotel. Of course it was to be expected when the security had stopped her and the platoon of armored men that followed; yet a quick explanation and review of the received message made it clear she was there for a reason. A simple nod to the commanding officer saw her pivot upon her heel and lead the small group into the hotel.

As she moved towards the doors she took a small moment to look towards the mandalorian, a sight just as out of place on such a world as she was. A silent nod in his direction slipping from her before two of her men broke off to pull the heavy doors open for their commander. The woman stepped into the lobby, looking before motioning towards the turbolifts.

"You two with me. The rest of you secure our floor. I'm sure security has already been over it, go over it again."

The salutes were met with a simple nod from the woman before the remaining Knight-Errants moved into the turbolifts. She herself though would remain in the lobby, knowing that the opening preceding was soon to begin. Remaining quiet, she stepped away from the main path, ensuring that she would not be blocking the walkway for anyone else coming or going. Slowly her eyes began to fall upon the large, open lobby, watching security as it moved about, as well as those few individuals permitted to work in the hotel.

For her she was just as cautious as anyone else. The Roche Incident had been well known, and even reached her in the far flung territories of the Galaxy; as evidence of her being there. Even with the security it was possible that someone with enough courage, true or liquid, could just as easily decide to rush Mrs. Hadrix during the following few days.

"I don't like this. A Hotel, in the middle of the day. A far flung Space Station would be more secure."

She mused to herself, quietly enough to ensure that only the two soldiers that remained at her side heard her. Oddly enough though she seemed to have found one of the few shadows in the large lobby, her eyes strained already from the walk into the hotel.

"Damn Sun..."

She hissed under her breath, though the tinting on the doors and windows of the lobby were helping to defuse the light and thus the ultraviolet radiation. Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes, slowly releasing before opening them again. She was hoping that the conference room had no windows, or that she would be far away from them if there were any.

Of all the ordeals Keira had taken part in recently, this was the one that, oddly enough, felt the most familiar. At least she was back to something she knew in the vague sense, or maybe that was because she was finally back in her armor that fit her like a second skin. Sometimes it was the silver linings that made things worthwhile, and for one so conditioned for the battlefield she was marginally more at ease within that shell of phrik plate. The only weapons carried openly were her lightsaber and the pistol Lusk had gifted her, Kalso's Revenge. Other than that there remained the vibroblade built into the gauntlet of her left hand that was capable of being activated by nothing more than a subtle shift of her hand. Yes, it was the little things.

"I went over our floor twice myself. Nothing seems to be out of order." Even if there was, it wasn't as if the current company wouldn't be capable of handling it efficiently and with deadly precision. No matter the other woman's assessment of the Mandalorians, she trusted in their own and her ability to neutralize any threat with ease. "Besides, everybody here's probably packing enough weaponry that we shouldn't have to worry about anyone getting hurt. It'll be fine. That's what I'm here for." As much as she would have rather been back on Maridun with her men and her children, she knew this was as much her duty as anything else. Given her recent promotion to general within the Republic military and the loyalty she held, this was where she belonged.

The hologram of Thalia, her AI companion, materialized from the holoprojector integrated into her armor in the underside of her left wrist. "No anomalies have been detected. Sensors indicate everything is normal. All parties are arriving as we speak." The image shifted from that of the AI to a layout of the hotel, a cutaway showing just who was intended to reside on which floor. "Those of the Silver Sanctum have been reported to arrive, along with the Mandalorians, Republic and an unaffiliated party." As Thalia continued to speak, small blips appeared where each would stay on a separate floor of the building. Collapsing the projection, she nodded, flashing a smile. "Sometimes it's nice having another person looking out as well."

Stifling a quiet sigh she gave her armor another once-over, reaching over to the table in order to take up her helmet, sliding it over her head and sealing it to the armor itself. Instantly her HUD lit up with a vast amount of information, and with a few minuscule movements of her eyes she arranged every piece of data where it belonged, freeing up her vision. The in-helmet comms would allow her to speak personally with Thalia without anyone listening in, and until she decided to speak to any others around her she was figuratively in her own world. That technology would be a blessing, even if things were supposed to proceed entirely peacefully. Experience told her nothing ever went as planned, and like everyone else she would take precautions.

"Thalia, replay that video fragment and then the recording." She spoke solely to the AI, everything in this moment inaudible to the outside world. On the inside of her HUD a video of the twins - Reid and Kaya - materialized, one she had recorded a week or so after they learned to sit up properly on their own and had begun crawling around. After a minute or so that faded, and her eyes slid shut as she heard Slade's 'I love you' murmured in her ear. A slow grin had spread across her face, detectable in her tone of voice as she followed [member="Ali Hadrix"] out into the hall. "Time to get this party started."

Living life as the "face" of the justice system, a prosecutor, tended to not help with the general life expectancy of those that operated in the galactic courts. Jen, one such woman that happened to make her living off of that very occupation, knew all too well that too many "big name jobs" spelled doom for hotshot lawyers and prosecutors. She'd put away a Nagi spice druglord for a long time a decade back, and she was still being trailed by security to ensure the man's lackeys didn't try to kill her out of spite or to better their petty street cred. That wasn't to say she was a big name galaxy-wide, and the woman put a great deal of effort into keeping it that way. She accepted cases that would give her the least amount of notoriety for the greatest amount of gain. Only, this time, someone had gone a few steps too far.

Enter [member="Ali Hadrix"], a former high-ranking Republic military official that had fallen from what, in Jen's mind at least, had once been grace. Now, the prosecutor had a certain distaste for the military types, their synergistic outlook on society - the whole of society being greater than the little people it often trampled over to get where they it is today - but that distaste was kept at bay due to the internal justice system most governments employed for their militaries. But this was a war crime tribunal, and they were looking for neutral parties in both the prosecution and arbitration of the case. The Coruscanti woman had absolutely no patience for sitting behind a desk and watching another, usually less competent, prosecution team try to put away a criminal - she not only accepted the job, she asked for it.

The short list of important officials "spaced" under the Republic official's order had been full of names that the prosecutor hadn't been personally familiar with - she tended to keep her own personal life as non-existent as possible, being that she was basically married to her job - but, judging by the immediate outcry from both sides of the strange feud, at least one of the people had been relatively important. In either case, the Coruscanti prosecutor did her research and did it well. Debriefing on the case aside, the woman had looked into all the papers given to her and spent hours watching roll after roll of security and surveillance footage. It was funny how much of a police state the Republic was, considering its motto and name, looking back.

She had arrived at the hotel on Aargonar several days ago to prepare for the trial - it was likely going to make or break the remainder of her career, though she didn't quite care much whether it spiraled off at this point, being near the age of retirement now. The planet itself reminded her of another planet, Tatooine, with its rather arid landscape. The fact that the economy seemed to be doing well raised her hopes for proper air conditioning, which were more than satisfied when she arrived at the hotel itself. Today was the trial, however, so there was no time to meander around town, not that she wanted to, and she had already found herself inside the makeshift courtroom a few minutes early. She hadn't arrived before the benefactor to all of this, of course - and was glad to finally meet the man, [member="Khyros Sunblade"], in person.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Minister." Jen said, keeping her habitual politeness alive. "My name is Jen Law and, as I am certain you are aware, will be prosecuting Miss Hadrix. I hope this trial is as uneventful as my last one." She continued, honestly concerned that a small fight could break out in the courtroom - or at least in the hotel - due to the severe dislike the Mandalorians held for the woman, as well as disgruntled Republic officials at that. Her, Miss Law, not being even remotely capable of self-defense, much less dealing with hostilities, most certainly did not help to ease that mild anxiety. She wouldn't let it distract her, of course, but it was still another thing that stayed on her mind.

Thurion, much like his wife, stood in slight terror of the large hotel room they'd been granted during their visit. A far cry from the humble furnishings they were used to, with expensive-looking paintings on every wall. He was almost afraid to touch anything, but eventually the Silver Grandmaster found a seat in one of the sofas, which proved far too stiff for his liking. He wagered nobody has sat in it from the moment it was put together. Even so, Thurion invited Coci to sit with him, pulling her down into his lap where he wrapped his arms around her. His chin rested upon her shoulder, small kisses placed upon her cheek. "I guess so," he said in answer to her question. The Republic had been a bit fuzzy in regards to what this trial entailed and what was required of them. Nevertheless, it had been Thurion's idea to accept the invitation; when asked to appear, he felt honoured that they had come to them first, and at that point telling them 'no' would reflect poorly upon them.

"I don't mind waiting, though," he then said with a boyish grin on his face, moments before their lips met in a lasting kiss. If anyone needed them they would just have to call and summon them.

[member="Coci Heavenshield"]

Faith was quiet she was here to listen and watch nothing more this trial would determine the innocence or guilt of the former Supreme Commander, Former GRIM member. She was traveling slowly to day with her as one of her more constant guards [member="Mantic Dorn"] she looked across to where he sat wondering what thoughts he had on this.

Faith knew what [member="Ember Rekali"] had showed her. There were many among the Republic who believed this to be a witch hunt, a farse, a trial to find blame for the loss of life. Were they right? Faith would say no to those that believed that. She knew that if this had been her child she would not have bothered with a trial, she would have taken matters into her own hands. That this trial was happening well that only served to show Faith that it was not anything that it should not be.

"Have you been Mantic I've not seen very much of you" While the made their way they could talk.

Shadowing the minister of intelligence, Mantic made an effort not to stand out or be in anyones way as the trial was about to begin. The many people around had been hard to keep track of and as the room was under a heavy force dampening effect he did nit have the force to relly on. It made his job harder, much harder.

At that he was a bit startled as [member="Faith Balor-Organa"] adressed him.

He leaned closer to be able to speak with a low voice not to disturb anything.

"I suppose so minister. Nor has my services been requested of late, although it seems to be changing once more." he added.

"I am truly sorry that I failed you on Roche minister. I will do my best not to do so again."

Faith shook her head, "You did not fail Master Jedi [member="Mantic Dorn"] I failed to negotiate with Clan Rekali my whole purpose for going, destroyed by things that neither of us could control" She too kept her voice low they had not spoken for some time now perhaps was not the time to catch up but sometimes one must take opportunity when it is presented.

"Life is ever changing we must change to it seems. Perhaps we will be able to find a way to make peace in another fashion." She smiled, "where there is a will there is a way"

Faith looked out, what would she learn today that she did not know. Would what she learned change anything?

Mantic smiled and nodded to hwer as they installed themselves to the seats.

"Tragedy has fallen upon roche in moer ways than the obvious as you point out. I am honored to be acting as your escort once more minister, it is people with your will and appreciation for hope that cast a beacon of light across these dreadful times." he tried the last one to come of genuine and to underline this he ended it with a short bow of his head. Looking around the room was filling up and he had to start focus on the task at hand.
While he guessed she was just as interested as him on catching up this was not the best of times. At least they had had a chance to verify their positions.

"I will be right behind you minister." he ended and took a seat in the back to have a better overview of the room.

The Previous Night:

Later That Previous Night:
Matthew laid back in his seat and tried to relax. He was back at his apartment and safe...relatively. It took only the cries of a child to bring him into action tonight. He had gone exploring in his "night clothes" so that he could keep honing his skills and spread some good around. It seemed to him like pure luck that he had stumbled upon a situation to help with. 5 feet to the left and he probably wouldn't have heard the very faint cries of a child trapped in a metallic room and, after investigating further, men casually chatting about their crime.

His portable auto-triage lay on a table next to the chair he was sitting on, waiting as he stripped off layers with exhausted arms. Finally, he was shirtless when he bent over to activate the station. The heat rolled off of his skin now that the dark clothing was off. First, he keyed it to treat his arms and fists. The numerous amounts of blocks and punches had left painful bruises that needed a light, topical treatment. Next was his face. He needed to make sure that the cuts were definitely healed up for the trial tomor...He had a trial tomorrow.

It's not like he'd completely forgotten. That was why he was on this planet to begin with. However, it was easy for the thoughts of law and order to be pushed to the back burner when survival and justice were on the line. He pressed a button on the silent GPS he wore on his body. A vibration on the left hip meant AM. The vibrations that gave the time were ordered around his waist like an actual clock (from the top down view, of course). A vibration a little to the right of his belly button meant that...it was nearly 1 in the morning.

He needed to sleep asap. The rest of the dark clothes came off and were stashed in a hasty, half-uncaring and half-tired manner. Now in his underwear, he collapsed on his bed grabbed the clock and set an alarm by voice command.

The Morning
The alarm went off and his hand reached up to turn it off. It was still all too early for his beleaguered tastes...Such was the life he chose to live. He dragged himself out of bed and tripped over the hastily put away triage kit and clothing pile. This woke him up a bit more...He grumbled angrily and put away his stuff properly this time. His leg hurt now, so he figured that he'd use a stronger and sturdier cane to provide support, today.

He ate breakfast, got dressed and left to arrive on time. His regular GPS was on his wrist this time and it fed him the time on voice command. He was going to be early at this rate, but, for a blind person, that wasn't a bad thing. Who knew what was going to happen? He was close to the hotel when he got the call from Ali.

"I'm close, Ali. I'll be there in a short while, so you can head down now, if you wish." Sure enough, he was in the lobby and waiting patiently. He took in the sounds and smells of a nearby continental breakfast. It smelled much better than his breakfast had...

After an uneventful night spent reviewing relevant records for the trial, Suravi reported to the lobby early the next morning to meet with Ali Hadrix and Matthew Rei. As usual, Arisa was at her side as her aide and bodyguard. Rei would be taking the lead in Hadrix's defense, while she would be present to provide some council when needed. While no lawyer, she had experience enforcing military law as a veteran and a former president.

She saw
Hadrix present at the lobby, a sight that gave her some small comfort amid this farce of a tribunal. After the initial difficulty in even getting in contact with the former Supreme Commander, it had been her fear that the defense team would have had to proceed without her appearance. Such an instance wouldn't have automatically spelled a conviction against Hadrix, but her absence would have been bad optics for the beleaguered Republic.

"General
Hadrix, General Ticon," she addressed them, offering a hand to Hadrix to shake. "I'm Senator Teigra from the Kiribian Systems Union. It's a pleasure to finally meet with you in the flesh. I'll be acting as part of the defense team being headed up by Mister Rei. Our situation may be less than ideal, but we will ensure that you receive a fair trial."

She felt like they were already on a good start, with the charges actually brought up against Hadix much less severe than she had been initially expecting. It wouldn't be too bad making the case against misconduct.

Ali caught sight of Matthew from several meters away as she stepped out of the turbolift with Keira at her side. Apprehensively Ali took in her surroundings; to her relief there were no press, in fact few individuals seemed to be concerned with her own proceedings as the hotel conducted business as usual in the midst of the trial itself. Joining Matthew was a fresh face, though not one necessarily foreign to Ali. "Madame Senator, your efforts are most appreciated, I assure you." Ali replied pleasantly as she took the other woman's hand and held it briefly. It was a light touch, quite obverse from the typical male grip. Men sought to establish strength, and as such their grapplings were rough and too oft uncoordinated. Women shared different intentions typically, and the gesture merely served as a gentile introduction to one another. Straightening her posture, Ali smiled at Teigra and let their hands separate. "I'm assuming Matthew has briefed you on our current counter-argument?" Ali asked as the trio began to drift toward the conference chamber itself. Opening statements would be first heard, and the proceedings surrounding them would likely take the better part of the day. All in all, Ali expected the trial to last for several weeks.

Khyros had been looking over the courtroom when he heard the door open and someone step inside. He'd been trying to find any elusive last minute detail he may have forgotten during the set up for the trial, and hadn't found any for the last quarter hour. He turned towards the woman walking in, he recognized Jen Law, though he hadn't ever officially met her yet. Their paths hadn't crossed in the court room, and before that it wouldn't have been very likely. Soldiers and lawyers don't normally mix.

Jen Law said:
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Minister." Jen said, keeping her habitual politeness alive. "My name is Jen Law and, as I am certain you are aware, will be prosecuting Miss Hadrix. I hope this trial is as uneventful as my last one."
Khyros offered a smile and his hand to shake as Jen approached.

"Then that is something that you and I have in common, Ms. Law. I am hoping this all goes off without drama, and that the galaxy can put it all behind them." He looked away for a moment, taking one last glance around the room. "Is there anything I can do for you before I call for everyone to convene?" She was here a little early. Khyros didn't have a large amount to do with the case anymore, as he had arranged it. He was going to be available to all sides for assistance, though.

This certainly wasn't where Anija thought she'd be spending her time following the events of Roche. Especially considering how from all reports, Hadrix had done her best to evade capture by forces on either side. And yet... she was here. As Anija stepped off the hotel's elevator, she took a glance around the lobby to look for her compatriot. He had to be around somewhere. And with his personality, he couldn't be that hard to miss. Her face creased into a slight frown when she noticed Tiera Ticon across the lobby.. and her current companion

As much as she wanted justice for those who had lost their lives at Roche, she really hated these kinds of things. But in this case, it was the necessary evil. As Vilaz did, she wore her full beskar'gam. Part of the Arbitration Council she might be, but she wasn't about to give up that just for the sake of appearances. And as much as security was bustling around the place, she was glad for the distinct lack of newsies. Oh, she knew at some point that a report would go out, but she'd done what she could to limit media exposure and access to the premises, along with the other security details who were present.

In her hand, she clutched a small briefcase which contained a portable computer, and all the data files and recordings she'd been given surrounding the events at Roche. And, it was a lot. She'd not been personally on Nickel One during the battle, but others had. And as a member of the Mandalorian Protectors, she'd been forwarded copies of all the security logs from the timeframe of the battle. And if she was being honest with herself, it was a sheer mountain of information. It had taken days... if not a couple weeks to sort through it all. But, she hoped that the information that they'd put together would prove useful. She knew it would.

There's wasn't really much that the prosecutor could really say she needed at the moment - besides maybe a bottle of water - so she shook her head to signal her answer. "No, I do believe I am alright for the moment. Just wanted to make introductions, as I'm sure this won't be a short trial." She answered. She made significant effort to smile, though she never had been quite good at those, and glanced around the room. "Do you have the time? I know I've shown up a bit early, but I seem to have misplaced my datapad. I don't want to be here too early, after all!"

Yes, she'd shown up early - as was made obvious by the lack of attendance by most others involved when she'd walked into the room - but there was suddenly nothing for her to do besides stand and wait, and did she hate not working. There's always something to do. That was generally her motto, it kept her apartment back home clean, but it never seemed to help when she was early to a court hearing that probably wasn't going to start until the last late joiner showed up. That isn't to say she's impatient, but perhaps a little more than OCD with how she spent her time. Okay, maybe she was a little impatient. Regardless, she was hoping she wouldn't be the first person in the room, and though she wasn't technically that, the trial obviously wasn't going to begin right away like she'd hoped.

Maybe people would start piling in?

OOC: Apologies for the lack of posts. I had assumed I would be waiting on more people to reply here and eventually the thread had slipped my mind altogether when that wasn't the case.

@Everyone

Everyone began to wonder what the hell they were even doing here. It was as though outside forces had conspired to bring them all to this particular place. Vitor stood up, looked around, and was like 'k, guess we're done. Who wants to go get some fried womprat?' Everyone followed him and they all chowed down at the nearest KFW(Kentucky Fried Womprat). While middle fingers and other curses were raised towards Genevieve Lasedri for having helped turn the Republic into a smoking ruin, everyone was, in their hearts, content, chowing down on a 5 credit fillup box. The boxes were an absolutely amazing deal - 2 drumsticks, their choice of mashed potatoes or Corellian cross-cut fries, a soda, and a sweet-sand cookie. The best possible bang for their buck.

Ali Hadrix, glad that people stopped blaming her for what the crazy Verpine did, pushed the button and guillotined that mofo for the grief his actions caused her. She then went to Tatooine and opened a taco stand. On the side, she sold duct tape to Twi'lek dancers so their costumes wouldn't keep popping off, seeing as that's the absolute last thing anyone would want to see.

And Spencer got the opportunity to give Aaralyn's ghost a hug. Or something like that. The Mandalorians and the Republic never fought again ever.

Well, hopefully.

The End
