Description: Ession has fallen. The sun has set over the Dominion for the final time. But we endure. We remember. We live on.
From the fire and ashes of the Dominion's fall, we have risen. We are the Shrouded, a fleet, a people held together by the dream of a better galaxy, one founded on the ideals of democracy and freedom. Under the leadership of the Unbroken and the Lord of the Shroud, we set out on our journey into exile, to find a new home.
This great journey of ours will be hard and fraught with peril. Sacrifices will have to be made. But through it all, we will survive. We will endure. And at the end of it, we will thrive and rise again.
All who share the dream, are welcome to join us on the great journey. The Shroud unites all, Sith and Jedi, Force users and non-sensitive alike. The Shroud gives us purpose and direction: the dream of a new Republic, one ruled not by the Force, but by the will and needs of its people.
Rise and fight. We are the Shrouded. Through us, the dream endures.
OOC Info: The Shrouded are a fleet of exiles and survivors from the fall of the Dominion. We are those who fled, but not in fear, vowing to keep the dream of the Dominion alive and to build a society of peace and democracy, where all have their fair chance. The Shrouded are a ragtag nomadic nation who surround themselves in secrecy, but welcome all who would join them, Jedi and Sith, Force-users and Non-sensitives alike, in building the dream that is a better galaxy, free from conflict and suffering, where all life may thrive, sheltered by the watchful gaze of its leaders.
The faction has a democratic government divided into three branches: The Lord of the Shroud (head of state), the Unbroken Lords (executive) and the Assembly of the Shroud. We also have a military, which contains special forces branches (currently two). Anyone is welcome to join, although high-ranking executive positions are only granted via roleplay.
Our focus is to create an independent faction which does not follow either the Light or the Dark Side of the Force. Rather, the Shrouded follows only its own interests and creed and forms only alliances of convenience. We want to focus less on competition and more on interesting stories, such as cloak-and-dagger action and backroom politics.
Unlike other neutral factions, we are willing to get down and dirty and use any means at our disposal in order to further our objectives, be they subterfuge, diplomacy or outright military force. Although we are currently a nomadic group led by a government-in-exile, we intend to build up our forces, create a powerbase and use it to establish a territory of our own and become one of the major factions of the galaxy.
Special Mentions: At the moment we are especially in need of Jedi and Sith to jumpstart these two orders within our faction, as well as politicians, spies/bounty hunters, pilots and civilians.
