"In the hallowed whispers of our history, I uncovered the forgotten Guardian Protocols, a peak into the thought process of the Jedi High Council in an era
not nearly as engulfed by the shadows that now encroach upon us. In times of unyielding chaos, these protocols are not merely rules but guiding constellations to help us navigate through the abyss. These are not mere contingencies; they are levers adapting our very essence to the demands of the moment."
― Jedi Master Romi Jade

The Guardian Protocols are a set of ancient rules established by the Jedi High Council during the illustrious High Republic Era. These protocols were crafted in response to unprecedented galactic crises, aiming to fortify the Jedi Order and ensure its survival during times of turmoil. Unfortunately, the protocols were lost to history after numerous Jedi purges, wars, and conflicts. Jedi Master Romi Jade successfully reconstructed and rediscovered them, piecing together the rules from scattered descriptions and historical accounts.

CONTENT INFORMATION
The Guardian Protocols were conceived as a response to the unprecedented challenges faced by the Jedi Order during the High Republic Era. By adapting their training methods, organizational structure, and resource allocation, the Jedi aimed to fortify themselves as a united and formidable force capable of preserving peace and justice in the galaxy during times of crisis.
Accelerated Training: Jedi younglings are permitted to wield real lightsabers instead of training lightsabers, allowing for a more realistic and intensive training experience. This modification aims to rapidly advance the skills of young Jedi to prepare them for the challenges that may arise during a crisis.
Droid-Staffed Outposts: Jedi Outposts are to be primarily staffed by droids during times of crisis. This ensures that Jedi can focus on critical missions and not be stretched thin across the galaxy. Droids are programmed to maintain the order and security of the Outposts, freeing up Jedi for frontline duties.
Pause on Independent Research: Jedi are temporarily restricted from pursuing independent research during times of crisis. This measure aims to prevent the dispersion of Jedi efforts and resources, focusing their collective knowledge and skills on addressing the urgent challenges facing the galaxy.
Early Padawan Trials: Padawans, regardless of age, are given the opportunity to undergo Jedi trials and advance in rank when they feel ready. This flexibility in the traditional Padawan training structure allows for a more adaptive response to the evolving nature of crises.
Resource Management Restrictions: The Guardian Protocols impose strict limitations on the allocation of Jedi resources. The emphasis is on efficient use of assets, ensuring that the Order remains a cohesive and effective force during times of need.
Focus on Offensive Combat: The protocols advocate a shift in training focus towards offensive combat techniques. Jedi are encouraged to hone their skills in combat, preparing them to take decisive action when confronting threats to peace and justice in the galaxy.
No Jedi Travels Alone: Perhaps the most crucial rule, no Jedi is allowed to travel alone during times of crisis. This emphasizes the strength of unity and collaboration, ensuring that Jedi operate in pairs or groups to enhance their effectiveness and safety.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
"For these reasons, you have been recalled to Coruscant to ensure your safety in this chaotic time and
to allow us time to prepare our response to the Nihil threat. It is also why, for the first time in many generations...
We are implementing the Guardian Protocols."
― Jedi Master Yarael Poof
In an era marred by unrelenting war and conflict, Jedi Master Romi Jade recognized the dire need for a strategic and unified approach to combat the pervasive darkness threatening the galaxy. Witnessing the toll that constant conflict had taken on the Jedi Order's unity and effectiveness, Master Jade delved into the annals of Jedi history in search of lost wisdom that could reinvigorate and strengthen the Order in times of crisis.
The Guardian Protocols, with their emphasis on unity, adaptive training, and resource optimization, presented themselves as a beacon of hope amid the chaos. Romi Jade believed that reinstating these ancient rules would not only serve to bolster the Jedi's combat readiness but also foster a renewed sense of camaraderie and purpose among the Order.
The accelerated training methods and early Padawan trials addressed the urgent need for rapidly deploying skilled Jedi into the frontlines. By allowing younglings to wield real lightsabers, Jade aimed to expedite their development, ensuring they were not merely initiates but formidable warriors capable of navigating the complexities of the current conflicts.
The droid-staffed Outposts, resource management restrictions, and the pause on independent research were seen by Master Jade as essential measures to streamline the Jedi Order's efforts. By centralizing resources and focusing on collective strength, the protocols aimed to counter the fragmentation and internal disputes that had weakened the Order over time.
In a galaxy where the forces of darkness thrived on division, the Guardian Protocols became a rallying cry for unity and purpose. No Jedi traveled alone, reinforcing the idea that strength lay in collaboration. Romi Jade sought to revive these protocols not just as a set of rules but as a guiding philosophy to reforge the Jedi Order into a formidable bulwark against the encroaching shadows, embodying the very essence of the Jedi's commitment to peace and justice in times of unparalleled crisis.
