Objective B

The tomb was deep beneath a thick crust of ice. It hadn’t been exposed for over a thousand years, but a shifting glacier had revealed it not that long ago. Unfortunately the Alliance hadn’t even existed at the time.

Qorbin Fal had been here with his Vanguard. The brief skirmish in space had sent them fleeing, but now the Alliance had to deal with the fallout. If they didn’t act fast all the monsters the Rakatan Empire had hidden down here would be unleashed. Some could terrorise the planet, others – apparently they had frozen an entire civilisation in time – could spread across the Galaxy.

On top of that they scouts had also reported another Vanguard fleet amassing in the next system over. If that wasn’t enough something referring to itself as the World Razer had contacted the Alliance fleet from the surface and sought an audience to request its freedom. This was going to be a bad day.

Jacen heard a gut wrenching cry. He’d heard that before. On Fondor Qorbin Fal had unleashed his Technobeasts and let the New Jedi Order clear up the mess. It seemed he’d left them another present. He took one final check of his heavy rifle. When dealing with dreadful monstrosities Jacen believed in the philosophy of putting them down from a great distance where possible.

OOC/ Let's make it to 150!

Objectives:
A: In space no one can hear you playing really loud rock music in your cockpit
the-finalizer-first-order-star-destroyer-star-wars-the-force-awakens-space-battle.jpg

A Vanguard fleet comprising of:
1 Retribution class Star Destroyer
1 ISDII Star Destroyer
Numerous Cruisers
A swarm of TIE Fighters and Bombers
Having initially pushed the Vanguard from the system they have returned with a larger fleet to drive the GADF back. Destroy the command ship and send them packing. Any more capital ships that can be disabled and prevented from escaping is a bonus.
B: But on the ground we can all heard you scream like a girl
gWNg1OX.jpg

The Vanguard have broken into the The Tomb – an ancient Rakata prison - to gather specimens for their Sithspawn experiments. Now the tombs are full of Sithspawn released and causing mayhem. This must be contained before they can spread to any populated areas. A number of the Vanguard’s version of the TechnoBeast (see gif above) have been left in the area and at the heart of the horde is an Ancient Terentatek.
C: Or if you’d like a generic Villain that isn’t made of the stuff of nightmares…
The Vanguard also managed to unlock the Esh-kha from their stasis units. Their leader Broken Fang has every intention of releasing the rest of his people and starting a new crusade to wipe the vermin species from the galaxy.
D: Negotiations with the devil
Down in the lowest levels of the Tomb, the World Razer has decided to make another bid for freedom. It seeks an audience with the Alliance to barter for its freedom. Tag me and I’ll RP the World Razer. It appears as a great green hologram of something like a death star.

Objective B

Noah snorted as he heard the gut-wrenching cry come from deep within the depths of the Tomb. "Ah reminds me of the old days of fighting the Bando Gora. Ever fight a Bando Gora Reaver Voidstalker? They are the meanest and deadliest sons of bitches you'll ever meet. You think these Sithspawn are bad? These Sithspawn will just kill you. A Reaver? Motherfuckers would sooner eat you alive then kill you." Noah told Jacen as he walked behind him, a squad of some of the best soldiers the Pyre could offer trailing behind the two. Most of them were veterans, some having been in even longer than Noah had and had fought the Bando Gora for years in the Pyre.

Noah was armed like he usually was. To the teeth. For this he was pulling out all the stops. He of course wore his custom Ori'Ramikad Armor with his cloak over it. No didn't tote his standard assault rifle like usual opting for more hard hitting custom Tenloss RAB slung over his back, his custom Tenloss M9-T11's holstered under his armpits, a Corek Custom Revolver on his right thigh, his knives sheathed on his shoulder plates, his Honor Blade sheathed on the small of his back and Valiance slung opposite to his RAB.

Objective: A

A small beep from behind her caused her to smile. The Lucky Charm sat in the corner of the hanger, useless in this firefight. Instead, a small X-Wing fighter would be her chosen craft, a ship she was used to and could fly with only a little help from her little droid. Sparky was plugged into the back of the X-Wing, beeping out statistics and charge rates and other boring pre-flight checks that had to be carried out. Everything would need to work if she was flying in an attack formation, everything from the guns to the engines to that small stabilizer no-one even knew existed.

Everything.

Slowly, her hands drifted across the controls, not that different to those inside the Charm. She slowly flicked the canopy release, pulling the canopy itself down over her, trapping her. She clipped the belt into place, eyeing the small readout on a small screen to her right. She'd turned off the binary translator, using the screen for other important readouts, she could understand binary well enough without it. Slowly Sparky beeped again, letting her know that all of his checks had come out correct.

Everything was working.

She slowly flicked a small leaver, power filling the cockpit. Another leaver flicked, the engines turned. She read out a small display, the order to take off and take the fight to the ships defending this hell hole. She'd been working on the Charm when the call came through, trying to repair a jammed landing gear. Boxes would do as a spare, but she only had so many boxes. The ship was heavy, strong and heavy. It kept her alive, that was one of the main goals, keep Alicia Frost alive.

She thumbed her small comlink, nodding.

"This is Frost, i'm gonna fall through and try and divert fire away from those ships attackin' that cruiser. One good shot from these tie's and you won't be seein' tomorra'"

The landing gear leaver was down, and slowly Frost allowed Sparky to guide the ship from the hanger, focusing on read outs and orders. She felt the hanger doors around her, felt herself hit space away from the gravity generators. She flicked the leaver, bringing the landing gear up into the ship, taking manual control. She'd already been in a hanger, thus she was one of the first ships out of a hanger. She quickly eyed the fight around her, judging what'd be the best tactic.

She locked S-Foils, and prepared to attack.

It had been a while since she’d been engaged in an actual dogfight; but these moments were her lifeblood. She was filled to the brim with anticipation and excitement.

Based on the overview and debriefing the teams had just received, and a quick scan through the other objectives - this seemed like one of the most dangerous forward moving campaigns the Alliance had been part of for some time.

Gloves slipped over her pale hands, catching slightly on her new accessory. A reward for her help on Karfeddion - some sort of magical ring that would help her focus. She wondered if it would actually work or not, if she wasn’t a Jedi, considering how much focus she was going to need for today’s spiralling into the star peppered abyss. Fingers stretched and wiggled, making sure the grips weren’t too worn. Her palms had a tendency to get sort of slippery when in stressful situations; plus her nausea - the less distractions, the better.

These sort of situations were kind of the only ones that separated her from her buddy [member="Greyson Terrik"]. The only time she’d worked on the ground was with [member="Abel"], and that had gone disturbingly wrong. She’d never been so exposed to treachery. When you were in the cockpit, it was just you and the black. And the bad guys of course, but if they were controlling the minds of the weak you couldn’t see it. She was blissfully ignorant.

Crossing from the locker rooms through the flagship’s foyers and into the hangar, she made minor adjustments to her suit for comfort. Little toggles here and there; it was form fitting to begin with, and after laundry day she felt so much more bloated. Ugh.

Her blue-highlighted starfighter waited silently for her in the hangar. Some helping hands buzzed around its wings, making sure she wasn’t about to spin off into a kamikaze flight. Seeing the pilot coming, they gave a slight wave and indicated they were wrapping up the final checks. She nodded pleasantly, trying to show as much appreciation as possible with a curl of her limps as she scampered a well-practiced motion up the ladder toward her cockpit. With the persons still buzzing below, she had the opportunity to send a quick message - unsure if the Jedi would be down below or not, but if the objectives were as brutal as she had read; that would be less than awesome.

Be safe down there, give me a buzz to this channel if you need an aerial strike!

She’d looked at the Technobeasts. Those things were horrifying; but she’d love the opportunity to spiral out of the sky and into superhero mode.

Assuming she cleaned up the Vanguard fleet first.

Objective B -

Abel pulled his rough, brown cloak tight around him as he squeezed past heavily armored Omega Pyre soldiers to walk beside Master Voidstalker and the commander of the mercenaries. Mercenaries. Abel didn't know what to think about that, since most caricatures of mercenaries had them being morally ambivalent at best. The padawan chewed on the inside of his cheek as managed to reach the front of the group. The commander was armed to the teeth, with a bunch of swords and pistols and... and... other weapons that Abel didn't really recognize.

I reckon maybe I should've worn a blast vest.

But the sithspawn they were supposed to be containing didn't exactly use blasters. Technobeasts and the like would just stick him with claws, or a knife arm, or something equally painful and gruesome. A blast vest wouldn't do much good. For that matter, his lightsaber probably wouldn't either. A lot of sithspawn were resistant to sabers from what he'd read.

Abel caught a snippet of the conversation ahead. Something about being eaten alive by reavers. Abel imagined being stuck in a confined area, fingers grabbing for him, teeth gnashing, ripping into his skin. Tearing. Nausea flipped his stomach round and round.

"That's gross."

Boop.

Frowning, Abel took out his data pad and smiled as he read the message. He typed up a quick reply.

Plawal Rift
Omega Pyre - Star Caf
Arceneau Trade Company - PharmaTech
[1/20]

Plawal Rift, also known as Plett's Well, was a valley on the planet Belsavis.

The quiet, humid community of Plawal was located between steep cliffs of red-black rock. Rock "benches" leading up to the cliff walls provided a narrow foundation for homes and orchards but most buildings there were constructed from prefabricated units and crammed together on small lots due to the rift's enclosed area. Residences in the old city were constructed directly over warm springs which meant a thick, sulfur-smelling mist would permeate the valley and restrict visibility to just a few meters.

Starblossoms, sweetberry vines, aphor trees, orchids, hanging moss, spider plants, shalamantrees, ferns, and Wookiee-beard. Fauna included mooklas, salamanders, phosphor bugs, frogs, pittins, pellata birds, manolliums brought from Ithor, watch-critters, and the insectile kretch that infested Plawal's tunnels.

This was the location for Arceneau Trade Company's botanical research center.

A contract was made with OmegaPyre, as their vine-coffee and vine-silk plantations decorated vast reaches of Belsavis moist farm-able land. With their go ahead, Pharma Tech was now in the prime position to start collecting samples. Saffron would be personally overseeing this particular project. The young blonde was currently walking the orchard of sweetberry vines with a Morodin botanist at her side.

Ever since her master had become more and more distressed over the Oracle, Choli found herself wandering more and more with Chole and on her own. This time around, they'd been spending more time with the Galactic Alliance as of late. The young girl was steadily growing in her skill with piloting, and as such was taking advantage of the flight training available.

She wasn't an ace to be sure, but practice made the odds slightly less in the favor of being blown to bits.

When the klaxons and the alarm blared, Choli knew that things were about to get rather interesting. All the more so once she saw the starfighter pilots move. A beep boop and a slight nudge from the Pebble droid at her feet got her attention.

"I don't know what is going on, Arr-Two." she told him, glaincing down at R2-P6 Pebbledrone. The dark slash of her brows drew together. ".. let's find out."

Jacen looked over at Noah, little expression graced his features. His consciousness had lowered into something approaching a battle trace now. The Force and logic were his guides, emotion had been stifled.

"Oh, some Sithspawn will merrily eat you too," he stated. His padawans wouldn't be far behind, as long as he kept tabs on them he was content to go in with the first wave of GADF and Pyre soldiers.

"You good Abel?" he asked stoically. The man had heart and bravery in spades, but was still somewhat refining his technique in the field of battle. To put it a certain way. "You got a blaster of some kind? No need to get closer to these things than necessary."

As per usual Jacen had Brough his trusted CC13 rifle, the kind he'd been using for nearly fifteen years. A sidearm and a lightsaber dangled from his belt. He'd packed some high explosive grenades for the underslung launcher. Never dance with a Sithspawn when you could appreciate it from a distance.

Ayme made her way to her masters position. Her fingers danced around the hilt of her new BC-1 blaster she had been given. Although Jacen had said it was for completing a portion of her training, she was convinced it was for completing a day without causing injury to herself or others.

The Tomb was a series of confusing labyrinths that followed no logical pattern Ayme could discern. She had no desire to get lost and jogged the last few meters to her Master’s side.

“Master.” A bloodcurdling scream interrupted her comment and prompted her to yank her lightsaber off her belt. She knew that sound, it simultaneously haunted her nightmares and filled her with adrenaline fueled excitement. “Okay then, guess we will catch up later, sounds like your noon appointment is ready for you.”

Infinite architecture was a unique mix of both new and old. As if the old gods had seen fit to lay gray sandstone and marble overtop a network of white glowing servers. It gave Kaz the most uncomfortable feeling of being both extremely well protected, and extremely well exposed. After all. Who else would used Ray Shielding to protect the crumbling doorways of an old Egyptian Tomb. Pfft. Only the Infinite would be so strangely enamored.

Kazroy was garbed in an orange EVA of armorplast and spare ammo clips. A feminine spacesuit designed to weather the most dangerous atmospheres and terrain. She complimented the look with a BR-15 carbine custom and two single-hilt sabers. Which... Might have even been impressive had she not have been standing next to a squad of Omega Pyre operators. Professionals of such strength and merit that they could make any Mandolorian Rally Master proud.

Sam didn't have time to gawk however. [member="Ayme Katash"] announced the arrival of a horde from the far wide corridor. Introductions would have to come later,

"Enemies approaching. Technobeasts confirmed."

A dozen metal amalgamations dropped down from the far ceiling and began a shambling approach to the Party. Like zombies made of jagged copper and left-over auto parts. More confusing than terrifying. Though their appendages be as blades and their eyes be like daggers.

"Engaging!"

Her old Navy training took over and Kazzy immediately began blasting away. But with no clear weakness nor vital organs to destroy? Her opponents proved remarkably resistant. It was like trying to splinter apart a stone sentinel with a pick or bash your way through a wooden door with an axe. Every shot created a glorious amount of debris and a few super-heated holes amongst the bodies. ...But these shambling corpses just kept coming.

Thank the Force for Infinite architecture. Wide hallways and long straight paths made for a welcome distance from such creatures. She'd wind up blasting some sandstone statues apart for sure.

Elaine had arrived on the planet with her new housecarls, as well as few a full regiment of Alderaan Infantry, who had left with her. The new housecarls where using power armour, and thul reapers. The main stay of her forces where sporting a new medium armour, as to get away from the old sith look. She was here to help clean up a mess, somehow the Esh-Kha had escaped and started mobilizing, it was though they panned to renew a crusade against on the galaxy. They had to be stopped no matter what, as they where powerful species and if they get fuller numbers, force only knew what devastation they could wrote on the galaxy.

As her troops got of the ships, she waited for GA forces to come hep her out. The line infantry units began forming up, and getting artillery into position. Scout troops began moving forward to recon where the enemy was, and relay positions to her artillery. Her know personal housecarls began making sure her command area was secure, she was doing this for the money. She had homes to rebuild, a colony make viable and all that took credits.

"Leth Three, get that repeater nest set up at the choke point in case we need to fall back!" Jacen called as the first wave of monstrosities rushed towards them.

"Acknowledged."

It was a hark back to ancient times fighting these mindless beasts. Squads worked in small fireteams and as the group moved they alternated in advancing and providing covering fire until they could deploy enough firepower to destroy or break the enemy.

This was like the past. The soldiers were spread out, but took up firing positions in the open. Jacen was also thankful for the layout of the terrain. If this assault broke they could move up to the next choke point and try and provoke more Sithspawn into attacking.

He took a knee near the front of the formation so that he could engage the any that broke through in hand to hand. Saving his grenades for now he fired his reliable CC13 on full automatic but in bursts. A blaster gave little in the way of recoil and each power pack contained a lot of shots. He aimed low, taking out legs and then pouring forth more bolts until the creatures stopped moving.

Objective D
Allies: GA
Enemies: World Razer ([member="Jacen Voidstalker"])

Silence lingered around the large frame of the Jedi Master as he carefully traversed the corridors of the Belsavis Prison...more commonly known simply as The Tomb. The Rogue Jedi Master was certainly the reclusive sort. This reality often lead those he interacted with on limited occasion to believe he was neither dedicated nor capable.

In truth, the Naboo native had spent his fair share of time on the battlefield, spilling blood and sweat in the name of the cause. It was a necessary element to any war, but he had grown tired of simply being a tool to be thrown at the enemy in such a manner. In the recent years, investigation and knowledge had quickly become the overriding priority. The galaxy seemed to have an almost unlimited amount of beasts and enemy soldiers to fight, and the painstaking process of taking and holding ground was indeed a critical element to success. The warrior had adopted a new role, one aimed more at supplying the armed forces of the Galactic Alliance with the intelligence and knowledge they would need to succeed.

Turning down an adjacent corridor, Marcello paused abruptly. There was no real light to speak of in the corridor, and the Rogue Master's glacier-blue eyes groped the darkness for any hit of color variation. There was a prevailing reality about dark spaces...movement could be seen if one focused and remained patient.

Entire minutes passed before Marcello tucked into a quick roll to his left, narrowly escaping a brutal strike from a sithspawn.

Dark blue light from Marcello's pontite-powered lightsaber quickly filled the chamber, revealing dozens of sithspawn before blurring into motion. The final push to the access stairwell to the World Razer's chamber had begun.

Ayme fired off two shots at the lumbering beast causing an even more sickening scream to penetrate her ears. The beast shuddered for a few beats then careened towards her with a new vigor. Ayme just barely had time to swap weapons, the lightsaber just igniting as a large metal arm slammed into the blade sending her to her knee. She rolled to the left just dodging a backhanded swipe from the same appendage.

The beasts were taller than she remembered, a sickly yellow tint to its skin mirrored the corruption that was inside. There was screaming in various octaves all around her as the others continued to engage their own attackers. Lightsabers flashed, sending sparks into the area as saber collided with metal.

Her attacker swiveled in her direction and moved with an unearthly speed sending bolts of electricity in an attempt to incapacitate the Jedi. She raised her lightsaber deflecting most of the energy causing a numbing sensation in her hands which crawled slowly up her arms the longer the barrage lasted. Ayme grunted with the effort but walked towards the beast then pushed her lightsaber into its arms overloading the attack temporarily. It gave her just enough time to reach out and place her hands on the metal chassis. The beast squealed and became disoriented for several minutes, enough time to do some damage to the other beasts closest to it. Ayme smirked and resumed the attack.

Scouts had advanced to where the Esh-Kha where forming up, she was getting initial reports on there actions. They where mainly based in a bunker underground, and it seems they where looting some armouries. She need to get a move on, she got the howlers into position. Then order them to fire at the Esh-Kha, All artillery batteries fire on my mark. MARK Then an almighty boom could be heard, as they fired in unison. They where firing H.E rounds, to cause maximum devastation to the area.

Her house Housecarls where busy securing the command area, they had MkI power armour made from Thriudum and Neutronium, and host in built weapons. As well as them Carrying thul reapers, this made them a walking tank.

She got initial reports, a the Esh-Kha have been forced into the bunkers and had been scattered. This meant they brought time, but how much and where those bunkers lead to was whole different question.

"No, Master Voidstalker. I don't own one."

Maybe he should have asked Loske if he could borrow a pistol. She always seemed to have quite a few. You could never have too many hold-out blasters, he guessed.

A lot of military-oriented activities were soon afoot and Abel had next to no knowledge of how to assist them. So, he opted for sending out positive waves of encouragement in the Force to everyone within his vicinity. Reaching toward the presences of the soldiers and the other Jedi, Abel projected a sensation of willpower, if not strength. As though each of their hearts had suddenly sprung up a radiant bulwark in defiance of the terrors that now assailed them.

Abel also assisted by making sure none of the creatures got too near any of the troopers, even going so far as to neatly slice off the arm of a technobeast that had reached out to grab at the face of a soldier. Abel stared at the limb on the ground for a moment before more screams jolted his awareness. He redoubled his efforts to send out reassuring waves.

The GADF and Pyre forces slowly moved backwards away from the rolling wave of sithspawn. At least these, whilst deadly up close and quite quick on their feet, were not the deadly, intelligent hunters that sometimes fell under that moniker. Jacen worked with a three man team. They staggered their retreats. Each time the creatures closed Jacen would step up, his golden blade coming to life. Even if he hadn't stepped forwards, that beacon of light seemed to draw the things. As he engaged they fell back one at a time. They leap-frogged backwards down the wide corridor, leaving a trail of broken abominations.

However, Jacen was starting to grow concerned that if this wave didn't end soon they would need to fall back quickly to a choke point. Hardly the best start to their assault. His rifle stayed strapped to his back now, instead he used his pistol as they closed. Another pair were closing on the lead rifleman, which meant another retreat was about to happen.

Snap-hiss

Jacen strode forwards and the two angled straight at him. He halted his advanced suddenly and swung his blade low to high. The abrupt change in momentum caught the first creature off-guard and the tip of the blade neatly sliced through his chin and cleaved its head apart. That didn't halt it and it still slammed against him heavily before falling to the ground, quite dead. That impact slowed the transition to the next move and the second swiped at him viciously.

Sam stayed with the Pyre troops and unleashed a wave of the Force whenever the creatures drew near. Playing at crowd control so that Noah and his fellows might engage the beasts at their good leisure. Her pushes were abrupt and frequent. Shaking the ground and throwing the creatures back. As if gravity itself had shifted to lift them up from the earth and cast them aside like playful children. Their landings however... We're quite rough indeed.

"Excellent!"

Kazzy smiled and clipped off a few more shots with glee. Unlike Jacen, she felt no such need to withdraw. Nor to shift tactics or position. The combined strength of the allied force present was enough to siege a Star Destroyer. And that was before [member="Abel"] began replenishing their nerve. Surely a few dozen Spawnlings would not resist them.

Well. That was until one unleashed a volley of lightning towards [member="Ayme Katash"] . One again reinforcing to Kazroy that she faced not mere tin soldiers but Metal Magi as well. Just what other tricks did these abominations have up their daggered sleeves hmm? Well... Nevermind for now. They certainly couldn't resist her disruption and that was all that mattered to her.

Let them come, she smiled. The Force would send them blasting.

Objective E: Bringing my own objective to do some research in the Eternity Vault

While the other members of the GA strike force fought the technobeasts and other nasties unleashed by the Vanguard, Taeli had a different objective in mind for herself. During her time among the Sith, she had done some research on what sort of horrors and technology existed on Belsavis, including an entry or two about a strike on a place called the Eternity Vault. Apparently an ancient Rakata had tried to regain his power and had been eliminated before he could do so, but not before the strike teams had fought many of his underlings.

She had no interest in replicating anything she might find in this Eternity Vault, she was just more interested in studying the place for her own notes and research. Having a ship that had a stygium cloak helped her avoid dealing with the main kurfuffle going on at the main section of the Tomb, so it was relatively quiet in this part of the ruins.

"Alright," she muttered to herself, making sure to grab her satchel and lightsabers before departing her ship to head towards the entrance of the ruins, "there shouldn't be anything alive in there, but one must always be cautious."
