Jagger is still moving away from the blockade and heading to the Flagship/space station to protect it from fighters. Please notify me if your ships posistion as well as weapons range to make an accurate post.

[member="Draco Vereen"]

Just checking if your ignoring me or chasing the blockade fleet? (If you can call it that)
Here's the quick and dirty because i'm short on IRL time. Sorry if it sounds too blunt.

  • In my next post I will argue that the majority of TF Fondor is too far away from the planet itself to actually suffer substantial damage from the planetary cannons.
  • Warrant: In my opening post I cut power to engines immediately after jumping in and diverted all power to shields and guns, with the exception of the Dreadnoughts.
  • In my next post I will grant that the Dreadnoughts take substantial damage from the planetary cannons.
  • In my next post I will further detail the actions of GA marines trying to board Fuga's flagship. This will necessitate a decision for Sieb between pulling back and leaving the marines without fire support, or pushing forward and risking fire from the planetary cannons.
  • In my next post I will argue that Fuga's fleet is interposed between Sieb and the planetary guns, or will maneuver to do so.
  • Warrant: Fuga is closer to the planet than Sieb.
  • In my next post I will argue that this will necessarily negate the power of the planetary guns else they would have to fire through Fuga's ships to hit TF Fondor.
  • In my next post I will detail pending assaults on the Rancor station.
Next post will not arrive until later this evening. T-minus 5-6 hours.

Fuga's fleet has abandoned the blockade and possibly stands between Tevv and the planet, but it's more off to the side where he Station is. The men aboard his ship will either be blown into deep space, or attacked by marines and Stormtroopers if he 501st he has in reserve. (100-150).

Draco I have no ships between you or the planet, unless your flying pass the Space Station/Flagship which I didn't read in your previous post. Fuga would more then likely be off your Right Flank giving you perfect line of sight of the planet.

[member="Phoebus"] We are a major faction with a lot of resources and Atrisia is relatively close to the Galactic Alliance border. I'd be less eager to throw out godmode accusations as the GA writers have been more than happy to waive the minor faction/corporate ship limitations for this thread, and also some of your forces peaced out in the beginning.

[member="Jagger Fuga"]

Space is big man. Between the planet and Tevv puts you at an angle from Draco's ships from my POV. But, no matter, I'm moving to hit @Erebos and the planet anyway.

[member="Zark"]

We had Forces retreat? COWARDS WILL BE SHOT!!! Seriously though, 28,000 meter fleet against our what... 2,000 netter fleet excluding the 4,000 meter flasgship. It does feel a bit excessive in my opinion, but if the GA want to loose that many ships I'm cool with it. I shall prevail... I hope. *Goes back to typing furiously*

I left the blockade like 3 post ago, I've been fleeing this whole time to get away from your pointy and scary looking weapons. I mean the Mandos are the closest to my fleet, just wale are no longer in your way, please go ahead and bombard my friends as they creep me out anyways.

I didn't mean to come across as unappreciative of how lopsided it is at the moment. To be honest I designed my fleet in response to the 12000 km neutral fleet that jumped in last night and has chosen to remain conspicuously quiet. It seems like there are a lot of writers that aren't navy types so once the planetary shields are dealt with one way or another the action of the thread might shift into a hopefully more balanced state, but in the meantime we are open to other Sith writers commanding ships or bringing in reinforcements to make the odds not so overwhelming.

[member="Phoebus"], although I wish it was only one ship per person, as I prefer to write out just what my single frigate or transport is doing rather than a whole fleet, fleeting is well within the rules, and a major part of the game. [member="Zark"] has a point, Atrisia is either one hex away from Alliance worlds or within the same hex as them, looking at Dulvoyinn, and that's a lot of Sith gathered around it.

That all said, [member="Darth Mephirium"], [member="Mythos"], [member="Jagger Fuga"], I think we should write out a list of ships on each side and their total length, because I legit thought from reading the posts that Galactic Alliance's fleet in orbit was way smaller than what the Sith and friends had around the planet, with Jagger having about 2000 meters, them Mephirium mentioning something about another 2000 meters, those ambiguous mass of ships Causstik brought, and then Darth Erebos maybe had some more ships?

[member="Nulgath Zardai"],

Actually, [member="Darth Malakai"] deactivated them briefly to let our forces through/fire at us :p

Eh it's cool, a lot of our NFU admirals and generals can't join because they have no reason to jump in. Plus our true fleet isn't complete so we can't IC bring them. It's really just a Kark fest with some GA guys upset there are Sith still around. IC of course.

I'll defend my posistion and just hope the ground team can hold out against the Mandos. *cough-cough* [member="Draco Vereen"] *cough again*

As a representative of the opposition, I'm going to kindly ask the GA and its allies to tone down on their fleet size. Our fleet caps out at barely above 2000 meters -- within minor faction restrictions, and was present as fluff for the thread that was turned into this.

You're bringing in upwards 40000 meters of ships against a relatively small force. It is not tasteful. Doing this discourages the opposition from continuing posting at all.

I realize the GA is looking for an absolute win here, but a bit of an attempt at making things somewhat fair would be appreciated. Thank you, and may we all continue to be civil and write a story to talk about months down the line.

Well I won't be bringing any more ships other than my transport unless things stabilize a bit, but I honestly think it's not because we're after "absolute win", at least I'm not aware of such sentiment within GA, we just want to write a cool story like you do. But I do believe the disproportionate fleet sizes came out of chaos and confusion from the thread moving so quickly, plus some people not being really too clear on how many ships/total length of them they had. For example I was going to bring in a capital ship with an escort because I honestly thought that GA's fleet was outnumbered 2 to 1 or even more.

[member="Darth Mephirium"]

As a Note, no one knows what is going on with [member="Ostanes"] Fleet ATM

As a second note, I have no idea which Sith have their Fleets in orbit. Could I get a list of Ships the Sith have In System in Total and their relative locations to the planet? I have no idea at the moment.

The only vessels from my minor faction are the Chimaera and her smaller escorts. The Rancor is also in the area, but currently it is out of commission and unclaimed. It isn't ours, but Mythos is trying to involve it in the story.

The other vessels that were present belong to rival Sith Lords. The Zambinos left first post, and Erebos' vessels are his own deal. He's not with us. We do understand the confusion, however, and hope things will continue with a clearer lense.

Well first I'd like to ask that we please don't embellish the facts here, as the totality of GA forces not including allies is around 18km, not 40k, and was initially in response to the mixture of Sith forces and the still currently neutral 12km fleet a Dark Jedi type brought in earlier. Second, there is some confusion within GA faction chat as to the precise makeup of the opposing forces, as I was given impression there were more ships in the preceding thread and while I know Jagger has listed his forces but several people have mentioned Erebos might have ships as well, so we'd appreciate it if all writers could list their ships in a roster.

To be clear, it is not the intent of the Galactic Alliance to bring overwhelming forces and stomp you guys into the ground, as just earlier this afternoon we were engaging in conversations about what would happen if the thread were to hit 150 posts, and what a rebellion would mean for us in the future, win or lose. Please interpret any feelings of being "overwhelmed" as eagerness on our writers part, not an attempt to completely smash all your poodoo in a one sided thread, and I can't make any promises for [member="Draco Vereen"] but the GA won't be bombing any major population centers, so hopefully the ground portion of the thread will get off on a better foot than the space battle has so far.

I may be in the minority here and this is aimed at both my allies and the opposition. Have you thought about discussing things OOC?! So much salt could be avoided with just a little communication but this was all brought on by people wanting to be Harambe with their johnsons out. And I do mean OOC communication thats not in a public thread where people can try to make themselves a public spectacle.

I'm still gonna instigate though as I find this fun and the drama pleasing. *sits back and sips on tea*

I'm sorry if any of my OOC comments so far have been construed as passive aggressive or negative. Kruel is absolutely right that a lot of this tension could have been avoided with more open and honest OOC communication going in, but I went to sleep last night after allowing a member of my faction to progress a storyline from a thread into a dom, and woke up in the morning with 60+ posts to react to, and the landscape has shifted more even since then, so I am hoping we can write off the dispute to the growing pains of a rapidly paced organic thread.

I'll be looking into shaving a few km off my own roster in light of this new information, and we'll see where we go from there.

Edit: Vilin's writer just informed me that he wouldn't be bringing his meterage onto the field for the moment, so with my edits and just having to deal with Sieb and I, I hope that appeases some of your immediate concerns.
