TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Superior Mirage: The Fatamorgana suits her name - the ship is outfitted with a sophisticated stealth suite designed to thoroughly hide the barge from both visuals and sensors.
  • Styxian Barge: The Fatamorgana has been "enchanted" with the Force for two purposes:
    • To hide it from the supernatural senses of Force Users to a significant degree, although if a Force User already knows they are there, they can probably bypass the enchantments.
    • To enable it to interact with both the living world and the Netherworld without passing through it. However, the vessel has no special magical protections from either, and is thus vulnerable to attack from both the living and the dead.
WEAKNESSES
  • Anti-Stealth: The Mirage Suite possesses no countermeasures against dedicated anti-stealth sensors.
  • Filthy Slicers: As expected from a ship operated primarily by people who have been dead for hundreds of years, the systems are not particularly tech-savvy and are therefore vulnerable to slicers and hacking.
  • Mechu-deru: Due to the protection enchantments placed upon it by the Maestro, the Fatamorgana is ironically more vulnerable to the Force, especially the ability known as Mechu-deru.
DESCRIPTION
The Fatamorgana was a sail barge belonging to a nameless minor faction using its stealth capabilities in an effort to avoid being noticed by larger groups. It was captured in the Netherworld by the forces of the Maestro, a necromancer in command of a small undead army. The living crew were released and the ship was placed under the command of Marion Muir, a friend of the Maestro, with the intent of sending her into the Netherworld to search for William Wolfe, a comrade of the Maestro whom they suspect was taken by Omni.

The vessel was already outfitted with armaments, defenses, and a Mirage Stealth Suite. This technology which allows it to appear invisible both visually and to most ship sensors. The Maestro added magical protections in order to further hide its presence from Force Users and grant the vehicle the ability to interact with both "realspace" and the Netherworld. In a way, it exists in both dimensions simultaneously.
