- Force Crystal: The Force Crystal at the Center of the Ship allows jedi within a heightened ability, acting as a passive boost to Force Healing abilities across the ship.
- Superheavy Ion: The Battlecruiser is equipped with two Superheavy Ion Batteries, designed to brute force through the shields of comparably sized ships from massive ranges, giving a chance for the rest of the fleet to disable the threat of them in fleet engagements.
- Flying Fortress: The Dawnbreaker II has been equipped with just about every defensive technology under the sun, able to withstand punishment for extended periods, allowing it to act as a bastion of engagements within the GADF's relief efforts.
- Floating ER: While other ships in the Dawn of Hope act as hospitals, the Dawnbreaker II has been explicitly purposed as a trauma center for high priority cases, as well as a command center for the rest of the fleet. It's internal AI allows it to connect to the mainframes of the other ships within it's fleet, coordinating medical efforts across the fleet in an instant.
- Fly-Swatter: The myriad of heavy point defense cannons are designed to allow the Dawnbreaker to shoot down entire squadrons of enemy starfighters by itself, allowing it to defense both itself, and it's friendly squadrons by disrupting squadron formations.
- Star Defender: While it's Ion Batteries are massive boons, they are the only heavy armament the ship has. The ship, by itself, isn't able to meaningfully damage enemy ships without assistance.
- Strong in the Force: The crystal within the ship, while powerful, makes the ship a massive sore thumb in the sky, and the Force.
- Joint Command: The Ship's command is split between the GADF and NJO. While this usually goes smoothly, it can lead to internal conflicts that stall operations within the ship.
Following the engagement over Takodana, the Dawn of Hope realized it's flagship was in need of an upgrade. While the ship had served well during the Second Great Hyperspace War, much time has passed from those glory days. As such, the original Dawnbreaker was semi-retired, returned to Tython as a museum ship, training center for the Jedi Medical Corps, and a relay station for the Dawn of Hope itself.
But it's replacement would follow in it's footsteps.
