- Description: A Jedi lead organization with a focus on relief. They offer resources and a launch point for Jedi looking to provide aid to war torn worlds, providing assistance in fulfilling one of the Jedi Order’s core tenants. The Shield Core provide a way to streamline relief in a manner that the Jedi Order desperately needs. Their symbol, the shield, represents a duty to defend and lift up first and foremost, solidifying their place as a non-aggressive task force.

- Hierarchy: The hierarchy is not strict, but operations done by the Shield Core and their ship, The Pavise, are led by Jedi Knights Silas Westgard and Jasper Kai’el respectively. Jasper acts as the figurehead, but both he and Silas share equal leadership. Both ultimately report back to the New Jedi Order’s council.
- Membership: Membership is exclusive to Jedi, and joining is not exclusive. The Shield Core are open to all Jedi, though any additional leadership will be determined by council approval and evaluation by the Shield Core’s leaders respectively. For OOC purposes, reaching out via dm or discord and expressing interest is all that’s needed, and to be a Jedi (NJO or Silvers. It isn’t exclusive.)
- Climate: A project of passion with a focus on community relief, the climate of the Shield Core is not as tense as other Jedi organizations. With a focus on providing aid to war torn worlds being the core, a friendly environment was deemed as necessary to make their services as amiable and welcoming to those who may receive it. While they have the means to fend off Sith and Empire alike if need be, the Shield Core are focused on aid first and foremost, which their climate reflects.
- Reputation: There is no strong reputation yet, as the Shield Core are young. Many bitter folks may see it as the Jedi finally stepping up to help folks afflicted by the war, even if such things already existed, while others may see it as unnecessary, especially those disconnected from the destruction of the war. Whatever the case, their focus on relief has reignited hope for recovery in many communities that have felt neglected. Many Jedi see it as an opportunity to focus on something other than the war, though a few purists see it as far too driven by emotion.
- Curios: None are needed, though members of the hierarchy have a badge bearing the sigil of the Shield Core.
- Rules: The Jedi Code, GA laws and regulations, but most importantly an oath that relief will be denied to nobody.
- Goals: The goals of the Shield Knights are to streamline Jedi backed relief to wartorn worlds, bring aid to backwater communities more likely to be forgotten, provide resources for Jedi to better aid the wider galaxy through means other than combat, and to secure dangerous artifacts and cleanse darkside presences when detected.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
An organization founded by friends and Jedi Knights Silas Westgard and Jasper Kai’el, prompted by the shared memory of the destruction of Panatha and the horrors of the war on all fronts. Realizing that Jedi focused aid was disorganized, the two wanted a way to streamline aid and give Jedi wanting to provide relief the resources and headquarters to do so in a much more efficient fashion, as well as bringing Jedi aid to worlds that may not typically receive it. After receiving the financial backing of Senator Alicio Organa, who had experience with prior relief work, and the approval of the Jedi Council, the duo would set about preparing a base of operations open to all Jedi. The name is a riff on the various branches of the NJO, tying itself back to them in that way.
