Shien. The reversed grip was a dead giveaway. No other form used it with any real frequency, except maybe Ataru, and her foe wasn't currently darting around like a spiced-up mynock, so...

Form V, classical variant. Cautious. Focused on blaster deflection, counter-fencing. Developed prior to...

The flood of information turned into background noise. Vestra's smile grew wider. She appreciated a fighter who respected the fundamentals.

He wanted her, she was sure, to take the bait - lunge forward with all her might, commit to plunging her blade into his exposed chest. At that point he would bring his blade around with startling quickness, displace hers with some clever parrying maneuver, and, she didn't know, cleave her in twain. Or at least leave her with a very expensive bill from her cybernetics specialist.

So she'd probably still do something like that. Obviously.

But first, the Sith brought her blade up to her face, between her eyes. Her lips brushed against the emitter shroud, and then she swiftly sliced through the air, ending with the blade pointed at the ground behind her - the Makashi Salute. A greeting. A sign of respect. A challenge, first and foremost. Then began the approach; left hand, the organic one, in her coat pocket. Blade held forward, right arm relaxed but not loose. She picked her way through the debris she'd created with relaxed ease, though the lightning never stopped crackling in the air around her.

Finally, she was on stable ground, face to face with her opponent. This close, the picture was clearer. Her earlier impressions were right; he was like a coiled spring. Tension, waiting to explode. Still, she was reluctant to engage on his terms. If this were a formal duel, back at the University, she'd snipe for his face, maybe, but even Jedi could be tricksy, and she didn't trust her reflexes enough to be totally suicidal...

Again, her grin grew wider, the scar tissue on her right cheek straining to accommodate her smile. The hand in her coat tensed, and there was a crinkling noise. Paper tearing.

A burst of speed, Force-enhanced, followed, as Vestra slung the contents of her pocket at the Jedi, and a dense cloud of glitterstim formed in the air between them - perfect cover for the quick, exploratory lunge she took after.

It wasn't a serious strike - a test of his reflexes, non-committal. Play-fighting, by Sith standards.

Still, maybe it killed him. You never knew.

The man in front of her didn't say word just motioned for her to push on by. By the way he carried himself a solo mercenary type not unlike her. She looked to her Omnipad on her wrist one more time checking the eta on her drones. Sixty seconds left, if this wasn't her shotter….

That rebellious streak in her hit what did it matter if he was the enemy or the sith she was hired by. She had no allegiance to them other then a credit payout, if he wasn't her shooter he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. She dropped her hands to her side then and began to move past the man.

As she walked by him she saw a bit of debris on the ground, smirking to herself she made herself trip over it on purpose. "Chit" She said as she stumbled like a clumsy mess but in the same instance she reached into another bag on her belt and produced a stun grenade which clicked and rolled towards the man's feet.

"I'm such a damn klutz." She remarked as the stun grenade rolled towards the man's feet as she touched the ground with her other free hand from tripped kneeling position. Her hand started charging with magical violet energy that started to snake up her arm.

As Jedi narrowly missed the attack on his right leg and used his momentum to push off into a retreat, Blade took a few steps back himself. He whirled his weapons a couple of times as he watched his opponent took up a Top guard Stance similar to what a spearman would do.

It was indeed a peculiar stance especially one handed. Blade then brought up his sabers as the stance the jedi gave away his most effective move but no the move Blade would have made that had he been in the Jedi's stance.

The jedi lunged forward towards him as he did, he felt a slight push on his orange saber from the force cause resistance as he went in to deflect the lunging saber coming for his chest. It caused Blade to hesitate for a split second, mid pivot on his right foot he switched to his left foot moving to Hwo's right side.

As he switched his pivot the green saber lunged past him shedding sparks as it burned sidelong across the Beskar chest plate Blade wore and cutting into the right shoulder leather of that old patch work brown coat he wore. It put Blade in a precarious position forcing him to lower his right arm and spin out and away from the Jedi's saber blade that with a back swing could have taken his head.

As he spun out further to the Jedi's right side his left saber came up in awkward upwards sideways swing that wasn't precise in any manner of the word hoping to clip the jedi's right arm holding the saber. As the spin finished the two would be standing almost side by side Blade's left side pointing to Hwo's right side. The smell of burnt leather hitting Blade's nostrils.

She was studying him. That was obvious from the way her eyes tracked him. Which meant she wasn't dumb. Dangerous? Yeah. Unhinged? Definitely. But not dumb.

She gave him a Makashi salute. Ace didn't return it but he didn't disrespect it, either. He just watched her, blade low, breathing level.

Lightning crawled across her synthflesh arm and that walk... casual, bouncing slightly on her feet, like she was circling a stage. Ace took all of it in. She wasn't just excited, she was unstable. And that was worse.

He saw the hand in the pocket. He heard the faint crinkle. He didn't know what it was, but he recognized the tell. Street-fighter instinct. Anything goes.

Then her arm snapped forward. Glitterstim burst like a flashbomb. Ace didn't recoil, nor did he shield his eyes. He stepped into the cloud and shut them. He'd temporarily fought blind before.

Her lunge cut through the haze, a sharp ripple of intent and lightning-charged motion. It was fast, but light, clearly meant to probe. Ace's blade snapped upward, reverse grip tight, angling to turn her strike aside.

His prosthetic jerked sharply, a stuttered, electric twitch, stronger this time, like the servos were fighting to reboot. A faint hum bled up the forearm into the residual nerves, a ghost of sensation brushing across the synthetic joints. It wasn't usable. Not yet. But it was close.

Ace reached out with the Force, throwing his stiff left prosthetic forward. The glitterstim cloud exploded forward in a sharp, controlled shove of compressed air that turned the floating haze into a blinding curtain. The shimmering motes blasted straight toward Vestra's face.

Using the small window he'd created, Ace stepped in. His blade snapped up from the reverse grip in a tight rising arc, a counterstrike, precise and punishing.

OBJECTIVE: Investigate the Network | Access the Terminal | Retrieve the Data

When the tyrant mass of a mercenary-thief had fallen, Byyf, thanks to the combined efforts from Kas, Kharis and Zefgahld where the twins had finished defeating Byyf. The corpse being cut in half from the waist by Kharis and Kas began to make his way over to the Computer Terminal where Soly Feiv's personal computer device was attached to. Putting away his two Lightsaber hilts Kas fumbled around for his own Slicing Computer he began hooking it up to the Terminal. Switched on the Slicing Computer he owns began to enter codes, commands and programs to acces the main network system. Attempting to retrace what Soly Feiv had access to, find out why and what data had been stumbled upon.

"I've begun accessing the mainframe, see what our thieves were after and gained access to. Kharis might want to take that Sullustan to the nearest law enforcement officers. Detain them and go through questioning."

Beeping, buzzing and random noises from the Computer Terminal being hacked, sliced and unravelled by Kas' personal slicing computer it had been bypassing through the mainframe security programs i.e firewalls and anti-virus, anti-malware software. The training Kas undertook on Jakku specifically for a Sentinel usually technicians in the Jedi Tech Division would set-up programming to have Slicers and other skilled tech experts challenge what systems had been put forth. The time on Jakku was where Kas entered further training as a Sentinel in the Enclave grounds there. A watchful eye was maintained on his Slicing Computer as Kas placed it to one side investigating the laboratory carefully. Attempting to piece together what was so valuable here Kas being concerned while he waited for his Slicing Computer to provide answers.

"This might take a few moments to get trace back what the thieves were trying to steal and sell to the Imperials, Confederation."

Whirring noises and hums from the Computer Terminal were heard among the group Kas folded his arms and hands over one another while in thought. At least as Caden, Kas and Kharis were inside of the Research Centre able to take some time to recovery and rest before committing themselves to other battles throughout the city of Edic Bar. Occupied with gaining intel from the mainframe network, Kas watched briefly Kharis patrol around the laboratory levels and seeing Caden help Zefgahld with their injuries. It seemed to be a positive outcome thus far among the Larsen trio but their work wasn't finished just yet there is still more to do. Once their activities were completed here, Kas would contact his master - Jedi Knight; Aiden Porte in due course and returned his focus back on his investigations throughout the laboratory and finding out what data files had been accessed lately.

"Hmm, I'll leave a message with Master Porte. We can convene and share our views on this all when Edic Bar is safe."

He wasn’t going to worry about this woman once she walked by if she did not set off his red flags. There was something “off” about her, but he could not place it or assume she was the worst. So he let her walk by, but was still on edge, her? The rest around him? Who cares, this was a warzone right now. She was lucky he didn’t stun cuff her on sight, not that he had any.

”Chit”

Farsight is a blessed, and often annoying skill to have. On top of that, Connel was a “Vanagor”, he didn’t fully trust a lot of Jedi, let alone anyone else.

Then she just tumbled… that was it… right?

The Force told him “[CENSORED] NO! IT’S NOT!”

In a reactionary move, he had reached to his chest, the sling on his chest. He was going for one of his Throwing Lightknives, but one of his Force Blinding Flashbangs would have to do.

Luckily it was the perfect choice.

As her stun grenade went off at his feet, he was pulling the pin on his own.

The stun grenade knocked his senses, so he fell back on his Special Forces training. His head was spinning and had spots in his eyes, but he could still crawl into a doorway, holster his weapon and pull “Day”... one of his shortsabers.

Silence followed after the blow had landed and made its impact against Byyf where they had been left cut in half now deceased. Turning the blue blades of her Saberstaff hilt off to begin patrolling the Research Centre restricted area zones ensuring nobody and nothing else would cause any kinds of chaos or conflict. It was an exhausting bout for Kharis a few bruises, cuts and scrapes endured while having confronted Byyf and their arsenal she trusted in the Force, her instincts and training. The Amaran was safe from any further harm as her younger brother Caden took the initiative to begin medical treatment that he can perform for Zefgahld.

"Yeah. I'll go take this Sullustan to the authorities. Let's hope matters have settled elsewhere in the city. Hmph these two were definitely after some sort of data or whatever. Guess that's your department as a Sentinel, Kas."

A friendly nudge hit Kas' shoulder gently as Kharis began to walk past him and start to escort the Sullustan thief once they regained consciousness while in Stun Cuffs. Kept a reasonable distance between her and the thief - Kharis cautious as she raised a hand to communicate with nearby law enforcement forces that can detain Feiv. Putting a medical evacuation request in for Zefgahld where Caden can escort the Amaran out of the Research Centre to be picked up by a medical team. All while Kas began his investigations around this laboratory going through any projects and research data that the thieves had accessed prior.

"I've called for both local authorities and a med-evac team to come here when it is safe as well as them being able to send a squadron out for us. I'll patrol around and inside the Research Centre until we're ready to leave."

Footsteps echoed throughout the Centre as Kharis and Feiv were heading on out of the labs within the Research facilities not giving the Sullustan thief any chance, room to escape or resist. The journey continued between them as Kharis met up with local law enforcement officers outside of the Research Centre where she handed over the thief that was in her custody now turned in. Justice was served and hopefully the law enforcement officers can interrogate the Sullustan thief to find out and learn more as to why they were infiltrating the Research Centre and who they were planning to sell off their findings to.

"This was one of the thieves we came across. Best to take him somewhere secure whilst you can and get what intel you can retrieve from them. I'm with other Jedi investigating and securing the Centre."

The officers appreciated the efforts from Kharis in handing over Feiv; the Sullustan thief as well as them being reassured that there are Jedi situated here performing investigations and patrols through this sector of Edic Bar city on their behalf. It was time to return back inside of the Research Centre to help Caden with the Amaran it was best to do the med-evac separately so that resources weren't at further risk when a criminal was being issued to the authorities there is enough conflict and chaos going on. Walking back inside meeting up with Caden ready to help Zefgahld get evacuated from the centre after Caden had treated her.

"Okay Cade, local authorities have that Sullustan thief in their custody now and getting processed in what confinement facilities available for their use. When you're ready, we can take out of here to the med-evac team that's enroute."

The beskar chest piece did its job, deflecting Hwo’s strike away from the Sith’s vital organs. Blade Ice need only worry about the scorching to his leather jacket — not that he seemed too concerned about his tattered coat to begin with. Once his green blade was fully extended forward, his opponent spun off to the side, nearly opening himself up further. But Blade Ice was quick enough that Hwo could not capitalize, and instead the Jedi was back on the defensive.

And this time, Hwo’s armor would save him. Blade Ice’s lightsaber skimmed down his arm, glancing off of his bracer to leave enough space between his exposed upper arm and the plasma blade that it singed the hair but not much else, then was further deflected by his shoulder pauldron at the top of the strike.

The two men now stood in an awkward position, side by side, close enough to touch. Hwo turned his head to the right, looking his enemy in the eyes, almost like a scene in a holofilm. This Sith held much more skill than the two acolytes he had removed from the board earlier. He fought with an erratic style, perhaps intentionally so to keep Hwo guessing. It made defending difficult, but all the more important.

Bringing his lightsaber up and around with a backhand was the obvious next move. Which meant a low likelihood of success against an opponent such as Blade Ice. Instead, Hwo flipped the grip in his right hand, taking his sword in an inverted grip, and drove it up to his right, extending his arm at the elbow and slightly turning his own body to the left, potentially exposing part of his back in the process.

Her opponent adapted. Not perfectly, but well enough to keep Cerys at bay and with some clear ability to increase the tempo if necessary. Not more than a couple of times, Cerys found herself dangerously exposed, requiring a quick recalibration from pressing the attack, to filling in gaps in her defence.

Somewhere in the background, through the din of concentration, she heard Balun yell in protest. If he thought she was just going to accept her fate, and be hounded by this Sith, then he was a bigger fool than she had thought. He tried to be so galant and protective, but she was a Jedi of the Oathwardens, nigh on able to keep pace with Lorn Reingard Lorn Reingard with the blade. She was not Balun's pup.

Her footwork maintained its fluid, almost dance like precision, pushing in, recoiling, anticipating and reacting ahead of the attack. Makashi seemed employed. Something that sought to use the full length of the blade, the point of a lightsaber being just as efficient at killing as its side. And it kept Cerys at a controllable distance.

Makashi was about minimal, efficient footwork. Cerys would eventually tire. So, Cerys adapted.

Even as the flames were drawn across the floor between Cerys and Balun, leaving her momentarily isolated with the enemy once more, the Togruta did not flounder. Instead, she strafed to the left, forcing the Sith into moving with her in the guise of ceding the ground to the Echani. And her strikes adjusted, instead of the near matching parallel strikes of before, Cerys added variance. Short jabs with her longer blade combined with sweeping arcs with her shoto. Mixing the attack vectors would weaken her defence, but hopefully add too many variables for the Echani to account for.

OBJECTIVE: Medically Treat Zefgahld | Help Evacuate Zefgahld | Regroup with Kas & Kharis

Relief had swept through the area as the conflict came to an end with the combined efforts from Kas, Kharis and Zefgahld now it was time to regroup, recover and rest from the violence. It was from this point Caden began to use Bacta and some medical kits, med-packs that were available for the young Padawan Learner to use for treating Zefgahld of their injuries. Gently medical wipes were soaked in Bacta fluids to rub softly along, around and on what wounds can soak in the Bacta fluids. All while Caden did some cleaning and then proceeded with some stitching to open wounds preventing them to get infected from foreign debris. Prior to performing medical treatment local anaesthetics were injected and used to prevent the Amaran endure unnecessary pain.

"Just relax for me. I'll do my best to treat you, miss."

After the major treatment was successfully performed by Caden the young Padawan Learner began to help the Amaran to a nearby refresher facility within the Research Centre. A returned arrival from Kharis as she had escorted and handed over the Sullustan thief to nearby local law enforcement officers and accompanied Zefgahld to the refresher but gave personal space. Meanwhile, Kas continued to investigate the impacted laboratory as his Slicing Computer began processing the mainframe network and extract what data is available. When that was finished Kas would take the data and intel gathered off to the Jedi Council and High Republic officials in providing them all with the knowledge in why the Sorosuub Research Centre was a target.

"I'll go take care of the deceased. Contain their corpse and inform the MED-EVAC team that this should be properly disposed of."

Walking away from the refresher as his older sister, Kharis, was keeping an eye on the Amaran after Caden had patched her up and performed what treatments he could medically. Now the lifeless corpse remained and Caden gathered some containment bags from what resources were spare throughout the laboratory areas of the Research Centre. Used them to contain and cover the body of Byyf's until the authorities came in to take it away from the scene. There wasn't much else to do other than Caden can check both Kas and Kharis for any injuries that he can possibly treat before the trio would venture back into the streets of Edic Bar.

"Kas? Are you alright? Any injuries I can help with?"

"Falo Loffkeq" exited the refresher with an oddly jovial whistle, even considering her injured state, though she winced as Caden Larsen Caden Larsen approached and began freshly fuss over a few of the bacta patches and salves that he had applied to her burns, claw marks (that thankfully wouldn't scar, unlike her poor back) and the blaster grazing that had burned away the tuft of fur along her left cheek. The Amaran, aided by Kharis Larsen Kharis Larsen , had been stripped of her damaged light armor to reveal a light mesh-like undershirt which was lifted so that Caden could apply several patches to ease the pain along her slim torso and stomach, soothing tan-furred flesh most wonderfully, if not fully. Even then, the young Amaran was out of the fight, even despite the brave actions of her Jedi rescuers.

The demure little fox-alien smiled - the action crooked and left-sided as she met the three siblings with a genuine and even gaze that flitted from one Padawan to another in succession.

"I suppose Falo Loffkeq owes you guys her life." She gestured to herself with a free hand, before giving the slightest of bows, so as not to enflame her ribs again. She felt only a twinge of guilt about lying to the three - they would never know her real name or purposes. "I just want to get to where I can get paid and get a lift home so I can recover - I'm sure you all can understand that."

Her left-sided, crooked smiling face again went between the three teens. "As I have no need for this..." She used a hand to unclasp the fallen weapon of the Givin that she had seen disintegrated right in front of her through very poor timing on the Dark Side's part earlier in the battle, extending the curved, silver hilt towards the eldest, whom she assumed was Kas Larsen Kas Larsen , "I assume you guys will have more use for this then I ever will... If nothing else, it's a cool momento, right?" She tossed the hilt skywards, watching it twirl through the air, before catching it at its base between her pinkie and middle finger (four-fingered hand); a flex of the two digits flipped the hilt, right-side up, into her waiting palm, where all fingers clasped down for a moment, activating the blade with a press of her digits into the activation plate. The scarlet blade, ruby-fired and angry, flared into life before the four's eyes, igniting a nervous curse from the now-revived Soly Feiv who was watching, restrained behind where the four stood, nearby and just inside the base's entrance; after a moment, the guards led him past the base’s door at last, past the blood-red blade and on to a less-then-pleasant fate. Releasing the plate, the blade shrank away back into the hilt, even as the whirr of the med-evac unit's approach sounded behind the group.

She kept the lightsaber extended for one of the three to take...

(Keep the lightsaber as you see fit and then feel free to describe in what vehicle I leave the battlefront in, and then you may go on to whatever other adventures you see fit. Thanks, and it was a fun little adventure.)

Jonyna leapt back. Not out of fear, but out of practice. Keep your distance, never show them your true intent.

She could feel it immediately. A supression field from her ally, whom admittedly she knew nothing about. A High Republic warrior, that's all she could tell.

It didn't help that Jonyna was so intimately tied to the Force. But she wasn't a stranger to not being able to use it. Mandalorians, Sith, Imperials. They all relied on that same gimmick. Cut you off.

She didn't need it, after all.

Instead, her tail drew her cryo-blaster, letting loose a torrent of freezing cold towards Lysander's feet. Whatever he was planning, he'd have to do it without moving. Without agility.

She went back to a familiar stance. Her blade raised above her head.

"You can't take both of us, Von Ascania. Surrender, your sister will thank you."

She wasn't interested in playing pity parties. She wasn't interested in trying to be a Skywalker. Redemption would come to those who wanted it.

To those who refused it, she had no mercy for.

"You're right about one thing, though—Jedi are trained in pairs. Groups. Teams. That's because survival demands cooperation, not affection. Attachment isn't a requirement for trust. It's not a prerequisite for respect."

Her eyes flicked toward him. Sharp, but no longer hostile.

"You want to call it reliance? That's fine. But don't confuse it for something more personal. Jedi are stewards, not companions. We're supposed to stand beside others, not for them."

Relationships were never her forte. Specifically, she didn't allow them to be.

Whether or not she consciously projected it, Balun could sense her frustration. His presence was like a catalyst to an already short temper. Had he the time, perhaps he would have enquired as to the reason she held issue with him, yet the constant stream of blaster fire and the urgency of her fight against Jorryn Fordyce Jorryn Fordyce forced him to swallow his feelings and focus on the enemy at hand.

Cerys Dyn Cerys Dyn could be pissed with him later.

He launched himself up atop the crate that blocked his view of the pair, landing quickly with his Lightsaber in hand. He sensed the two before he saw them, and promptly propelled himself forward once more. The Force flooded in as he summoned the strength to take flight, seeking to clear both of them so he could land on the opposite side of Cerys. The choice was an act of survival as much as it was a consideration. Getting in her way wouldn't earn him any favours.

Bringing his copper blade to bear in both hands, the lightsaber raised at the ready, he hesitated. Cerys Dyn was swift in her strikes, and part of Balun felt as though it would be dishonourable to strike while Togruta's advance kept the Darksider busied. Instead, he waited, poised while moving sideways in tandem with their own movements, always keeping himself in position and seeking to time his next move, searching for a lull in which he could make a disarming strike for the woman's weapon rather than taking her life.

"You are here to disrupt the lives of innocent people. Your actions will cost civilians their lives. I will not allow that to happen." Lily stated firmly, she was not going to have someone downplay the severity of their actions. This was not a simple mission or altruistic mission where these people were trying to do good with aggressive or destructive measures.

Seeing another Jedi join her, Lily couldn't condemn or send them off to assist elsewhere, that would be too selfish of her. And it was also downplaying the active threat that they were currently facing. Lily knew that this person was a tough fighter, even if she did not know the name or reputation. Lily rarely paid attention to bounty hunters or mercenaries. There were too many in the galaxy and there was no real honour or expression in the way they fought. It was all credits and infamy, little else mattered.

A mentality that Lily could not understand. Therefore, she found it boring.

"Strange that they find this one appealing. Worshipping dangerous criminals was never something I wanted to do as a child." Lily stated, perhaps that was the lawful good mentality that Lily held but she couldn't see the appeal in bad people, they were dangerous and only hurt those around them. Even in fictional writing, Lily hated the bad person trope, felt too toxic.

Hearing the click of the gun firing again, Lily moved, using the Force to speed her actions. Dodging out of the way, also trying to push Tansu out of the line of fire as well. Her face winced as she felt several shards graze against her skin and slice it open. Something that surprised the Jedi Knight since she still felt her Force Barrier was up. The shards of bullets shouldn't have connected with her body at all. The fact that they did could only mean the material they were made from was a Force resistant or nullification. Dangerous but the insight meant that Lily had a better idea of how to handle the physical bullets more.

Launching forward with the Force at an accelerated rate, Lily moved in close to prevent more bullets from being fired as she sliced upwards. Using her speed and power to strike incredibly fast at the Bounty Hunter. Faster than a normal being could move, with the power that was beyond what a person could have as well.

OBJECTIVE: Investigate the Network | Access the Terminal | Retrieve the Data

It appeared there were data files that were labelled with high tier levels of access and frequent logins by granted members of research staff that was the lead Kas had his Slicing Computer follow. Attention was drawn to Falo aka Zefgahld who had a curved silver Lightsaber hilt in hand where Kas retrieved the weapon from the Amaran. Mindful of this being from a Dark Sider that had previously fought against allied forces here Kas would sense Caden had cast the technique known as Force Harmony preventing any remaining Bogan energy to be quelled. Gave a nod over to his younger brother in thanks.

"We'll take this to our Jedi Council to store it away. Perhaps purify it and strip it down for better use."

The investigations continued on until Kas' got the signals from his Slicing Computer it had downloaded and extracted what data, intelligence and information that can be retrieved from the data console available. An alert notification sounded off where Kas ventured over to see the results of the data received in his Slicing Computer attached to the computer terminal. Disconnecting the cables, plugs and wires between his Slicing Computer and the lab's data console Kas stashed his gear away for now. It wouldn't be ideal or safe to browse what he had managed to find but it'd be issued to both the Jedi Council and High Republic authorities. The trio will find out soon enough what was being extracted from the thieves they confronted inside of the Research Centre.

"Thanks for the assists earlier with that brute. Didn't look like they'd be giving much thought for any life."

Once the downloading was finished and Kas got his equipment together after interacting with Zefgahld he'd go approach Kharis ready to venture off elsewhere in the city of Edic Bar. Attend to other areas that required aid, defence and support from the Imperials and Sith attacks rampant in the streets and other facilities of Genarius. There were perhaps a few fellow Jedi in the middle of confrontations on Kas' mind that he'd consider supporting on the field. Once his younger brother, Caden, has dealt with escorting Zefgahld to be medically evacuated from the Research Centre they'd regroup and focus efforts elsewhere.

"We should focus our efforts elsewhere. I managed to get a good batch of data that I'll let the Jedi Council have and dispatch to the officials in the High Republic. Stay sharp, Kharis."

Everything seemed to have reformed back into a temporary state of stability as Kharis was waiting around the refresher having escorted Zefgahld to clean and freshen up. They were medically treated by Caden and the MED-EVAC crew arrived inside a S-130 Shelter speeder a smaller speeder bike was available. The two medical crew members were met by Kharis as ventured out to check on the exterior of the Research Centre and led them off to take Zefgahld away to receive further medical treatment. The Amaran was escorted out and taken by the medical crew for EVAC.

"We'll handle securing the centre until reinforcements arrive. Take care of her she took a lot of hits."

The medical crew took Zefgahld away and boarded their S-130 Shelter speeder after the smaller speeder bike carried the Amaran off inside the larger speeder. All that was left over to deal with was the corpse of Byyf the medics who stopped by said for the three Padawan Learners to contain and secure it before leaving the Research Centre. Once matters were finished here Kharis would be thinking about lending her efforts to fellow Jedi and High Republic forces throughout the city of Edic Bar. Calming her mind from a battle fury in becoming centred and focus on the present, having a clear mind.

"I'm alright Cade, nothing serious. I'll not refuse any treatment you can give though."

On her return back to both Caden and Kas with everyone needing escorted out Kharis was ready to receive some medical treatment from Caden as Kas continued his investigations through the laboratory. Carried out a couple of internal patrols of the Research Centre after getting some medical treatment from her younger brother Caden. It was a bit ironic that Caden was looking after her and the two being students under Jedi Knight Anneliese Kaohal-Delaine's wing the pair learning and training from her in becoming the Jedi that wanted to become. Another mission off world between the three Larsens and it was going well so far.

"Yeah we should start getting prepped for moving our efforts and focus elsewhere. We could reach out to other Jedi, Republic or Allied forces if any need us to come in."

Kito felt the small hairs on her neck stand as the chill gripped her spine. That voice again, it burned in her ears as she turned to look towards the towering woman stepping over the bodies. She had faced her once before, but now felt more doomed than before. While Kito trusted Ayra, she worried… Mercy was something more than any Sith the Jedi had faced, and the last thing she wanted was Ayra to get hurt.

Her hand tightened around the hilt of the odachi as she watched and listened to the woman speak. Kito felt her jaw tighten. The acolytes she had cut down were once Jedi, but the tally marks on the blade's edge only told her one thing… they were Sith through and through. Kito's eyes glanced towards her blade to verify, then towards the Sith who spoke to Ayra, attempting to tempt her.

"They're Sith," Her voice echoed without edge, "They were blinded by the promise of freedom and power — by someone who only spoke only sweet lies." Kito looked towards the bodies that littered the ground in front of her. She could feel her stomach twist, knowing that under other circumstances, they could represent someone she cared about. Her eyes shut, trying to push away the face she didn't want to see on them.

"The only true redemption is through death…" Something haunted her voice as she spoke her conviction. While she sought to redeem the Sith, she knew at the end of it all — when she finally finished her penance… she wouldn't be the same. At the end of this journey, her death was inevitable, even if she didn't want to die, even though she had someone, a reason to live.

Redemption, even for the Bokken Jedi, was death...

Kito rolled her shoulders back, standing proud of her beliefs. This monster before her tempted her fellows, and she would pay. "I might have killed them, but you only brought their suffering." Looking at Ayra, she could feel that previous conviction wavering, even if Ayra turned on her now — she could never kill her.

"Stop it. No one wants to hear you speak anymore." Kito could already feel the fire raging inside of her again. Knowing that she killed a former Jedi because of this mountain of a woman irritated her. Like these lost souls, she played into the hands of the Sith. She didn't wait for Ayra and took a step towards Mercy.

In an instant, the Jedi felt the surge of the force as she bolted forward. Her movements were fluid, and the odachi roared to life once more. Swinging the blade diagonally, she aimed to cut through the woman's flesh using the innate shatterpoint marks that her connection to the blessed blade gave her.

Pinpoint markers of weakness, she aimed for the biggest one — Mercy's core and her black void of a heart.

CURRENT LOCATION: Genarius | Edic Bar | Sorosuub Research Centre
OBJECTIVE: Finish Medical Treatment | Leave the Centre | Patrol the Streets

When everything was cleared up and contained from the confrontation now a clean-up and maintenance crew would be coming in to take over in securing the Research Centre. Inside of it Caden was packing away the medical gear and equipment he finished doing his rounds of treating Zefgahld, Kas and Kharis. The civilians remain on his mind just as the objective was still on Kas and Kharis' thoughts they'd be moving out soon Caden regrouped with Kas and Kharis ready to go. Wondered how allied, Republic forces and fellow Jedi were doing on Genarius, within the city of Edic Bar there'll be a lot of battles going on with the Imperials and Sith.

"Looks like everyone is good and ready to move out. May be we should send out a broadcast? Available reinforcements for nearby teams and such."

After Kas and Kharis got their own equipment and themselves together Caden joined them as he was ready to go help other areas of Edic Bar perhaps more in the Streets until they all receive a call or new orders. There still was a dark presence throughout the city although the Lightside energy from the Force can also be detected it remains a battle between dark and light. It will be a tough confrontation the longer this persists and Caden was in the mindset of how to contribute in the defences needing support throughout. Another mission with Kas and Kharis last time was Katabasis that was quite the experience for Caden to undergo.

"Should we contact Master Porte or Master Kaohal-Delaine? Or if there is anyone else nearby to get this intel you got Kas."

Getting in touch with his master, Jedi Knight; Anneliese Kaohal-Delaine or Kas' master who the three know well, Jedi Knight; Aiden Porte it would be considered crucial to provide the data and intel to superiors. Whatever was discovered and retrieved it seemed like perhaps Caden with Kas and Kharis had managed to stop the Imperials and Sith from gaining research data. It may prove useful in the long run of matters planetary defence systems, ship schematics or weaponry blueprints. Hopefully once everything has been handed over and secured from Kas' end the Jedi Council or Republic officials can figure things out.

"I'm ready to move out when you two are. C'mon civilians will need saving!"

Oh, excellent.

Sharp instincts. Quick thinking. A lesser duelist - one not worth Vestra's time - would've let himself be put on the defensive. But the parry was excellently timed, and the choice to throw her stims back in her face? Perfect. Almost exactly the sort of thing Vestra would do, even.

It caught her off guard, too. She stumbled back, one single step, when the wall of intoxicant hit her eyes, forced her to screw them shut to protect herself from prolonged damage. And then it hit her.

The Sith inhaled. Glitterstim - her spice of choice. Exposed to the light of Genarius briefly enough that it hadn't yet lost its potency when it entered her lungs. She felt the familiar tingle at the periphery of her nervous system, the warm undercurrent of euophoria, and, of course, the expansion of her consciousness. Glitterstim was highly psychoactive, after all, and in Force Sensitives was known to increase telepathic potential...

Which meant she didn't need her eyes to fight, either.

Incoming strike. Opponent's right.

Blinded but not caught unawares, the duelist flicked her saber to meet his, catching it in a bind as she bladed her body to maximize range and minimize target profile. Then, very quickly, a twist of her arm and a step forward, to rotate her blade, winding along the bind to collect his blade and put hers on the outside, all while driving the bind up high, above their heads.

EDIC BAR

"File as many complaints as you want. You're getting a band of thugs handed to you on a silver platter," Drystan strained through clenched teeth. He took two careful steps back just as Sven instructed, grip tightening until his knuckles turned bone-white. The hull shifted with each pull, groaning like some wounded beast.

For a moment, it seemed everything was going smoothly. Then, with one more step shy of freedom—the hull snagged. The bulk of it caught on a twisted section of foundation, wedged at an impossible angle.

"Chit… hold."

He wrenched with a powerful, adjusting tug, trying to both lift and twist, but the metal only shuddered an inch before jamming again. Sweat slicked his brow. This wasn't good. Most of his explosive strength had gone into the initial lift; now each second eroded what remained. If he let go now, all the progress would collapse—literally.

Instead, he shifted his footing, grounding himself deeper into the fractured duracrete. The Force surged through him—unrestrained and wild, pooling in every trembling muscle fiber, his control and influence still precise despite the circumstances.

With a guttural roar ripped from the bottom of his lungs, Drystan drove upward. The telekinetic grip cinched to its maximum. His enhanced muscles coiled like drawn springs, then snapped. The hull lurched, a half beat, then twice, before finally tearing free of the snagging concrete.

The sudden release sent a shockwave through the already weakened structure. But the hull was free—lifted high for a brief moment as Drystan pressed both palms against it above his shoulders before he slammed it down behind him, clear of the collapsing building. Barring some blunt-force trauma or a few concussions, he hoped the inhabitants inside the metal casket were stable. Alive, at the very least.

"Smooth, all things considered. As promised, feel free to do whatever you want with 'em. Though I'd suggest getting a few more bodies to up the odds of them going quietly."

He let out a strained huff and wiped the sweat from his brow.A strange turn of events, certainly—but it could have gone worse.
