Tall and lean with the sharper angular features common to most Chiss, Thalen has a predatory way about him. His skin is cold blue under light. His crimson eyes scan as he coldly calculates the next move. He wears black Apex armor in the field, with matte graphite paneling and a narrow, almost droid-like visor, with the AX insignia on his chest. Off duty, Thalen often wears sharply tailored dark suits that conceal a hidden holster, a shield belt, and a wrist-mounted A-MWD terminal device. A few thin scars are scratched across left forearm. He has a quiet confidence and rarely feels the need to argue to prove his point.PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Thalen is the model Chiss professional: controlled, terse, and efficient. Order, planning, and clean execution above bluster or showmanship. Believing power is a resource to be stewarded carefully, and those who squander it deserve removal. Unlike many who fetishize violence, Thalan uses force as a tool: precise, measured, and only used when necessary to secure the objective. He is intensely loyal to those who earn his trust, and his allegiance to Mr. Black is transactional but steady. He completed hazardous black-ops training and participated in clandestine operations that targeted criminal networks and destabilizing elements near Core worlds. His service record cites several successful stealth missions and extraction missions. He earned a rep for leaving no loose ends. At one time he successfully convinced others he was a defel.
Former Republic Intelligence & Wildcards:
Promoted into a covert Wildcards diplomatic security and intelligence detail under General Amadis, Thalen excelled in deep-cover operations, data snatches, and tactical extractions. He logged multiple missions disrupting syndicate activities for the republic and arrested high-value targets. The work hardened him and refined his zero-error approach to work in the field.
Fall of the Republic and the end of Csilla:
After the republics fall to the One Sith and a prolonged deployment that left him estranged from earlier command and control, the destruction of his homeworld only hardened his resolve for structure. Thalen accepted an offer to lead Apex's tactical response element on Echelon Prime. Mr. Black recruited him for his professionalism and rarer ability to coordinate small teams under high-pressure environments. The transition from Republic service to corporate contract was pragmatic: Thalen values competence and resources, and Apex provided them.
Apex and A-TRD Captain:
Now Captain of the A-TRD's Alpha response team and Mr. Black's primary tactical field commander, seventh in his inner circle, Thalen directs the Enforcer teams on black-ops enforcement, asset recoveries, hostage rescues, high value raids, counter-intel sweeps, and anti-sabotage strikes. He trains his squads to the same quiet standard he keeps for himself: fast, precise, and lethal when required. He is often the man sent when Mr. Black 'wants something done.' without fuss or publicity.
Current Position
Thalen operates with a certain autonomy in the field, reporting directly to Mr. Black, Annasun or Brocca. He retains contacts of former republic and galactic alliance intelligence channels, keeping a private archive of dossiers on syndicate leaders and corporate rivals. They are useful when Apex needs leverage or a silent hand.
