ADVANCED SYSTEMS

STRENGTHS
  • Superior Firepower: The Starblazer II's expanded modular ordnance bay is capable of carrying a mighty arsenal of torpedoes or missiles, and is outfitted with a super-heavy mass driver cannon on its keel wingtip that outclasses almost any other armament most ships of its class may carry. With this very powerful loadout, it's capable of dishing out a beating that can threaten ships many times larger than the Heavy B-Wing
  • Versatile: Though it's primarily built for long range patrols in areas where there's no immediate threat requiring fleet patrols, the Heavy B-wing's modular slot (where its ordnance launcher can be loaded) allows it to carry out a large amount of different roles in combat, making it a catch-all when it comes to needing a electronic warfare ship, long range search and rescue ship, early warning ship, or even providing prisoner transport. This ship is capable of carrying a wide variety of missions under its Long-Range Patrol umbrella
  • Independent: With an advanced long-range navicomputer, massive onboard fuel stores for a starfighter, and recalling the ordnance pod with conformal fuel tanks allowing it to have an even more extreme long range, the Heavy B-wing is designed from the ground up to be flown alone or in small flights without the need for carrier support or basing out of complex fighter bases. The only limiting factor for this ship are the foodstores onboard.
  • StarSniper: The new additions of Si Tech's armaments allows the B-Wing highly long range weapons that can hit targets normal starfighters would struggle to even acquire on their computers.
  • Tanky SOB: The new Heavy B-Wings were outfitted with heavier armor, allowing them to withstand attacks from faster, more agile ships, while defending themselves.
  • Ninja Ship: the Starblazer II has been retrofitted with stealth and sensor systems to allow it to slip in and out of systems undetected, while also allowing it to track just about anything.
WEAKNESSES
  • Turbo Speed: While the Starblazer is as fast as the frame will allow it with it's heavily modifed engines, the Starblazer's biggest weakness is that it can only maintain it's speeds with it's engines overclocked. While a cool gimmick, keeping that speed for sustained periods leads to engine overload.
  • Lumbering Bruiser: A ship this big takes a lot of power to get up to speed, and even with that much power it's going to take a while. She may be big and she may even have a little feather in the way she jukes, but don't expect the Heavy B-Wing to be winning any drag races.
  • Big on Firepower, Low on Space: The Heavy B-Wings are often called 'pocket corvettes', for a reason. Their crew compartments are often cramped, and can lead to cabin fever within the crew.
DESCRIPTION
With the formation of Starlight Squadron, Anthony hooked up with a few of his old buddies from Coruscant's Fire Department, now refugees scattered across the galaxy. Anthony found three of the best spacers, and bought up a Predator Class for them to work on. While the Starblazer II was not the perfect ship, a cramped, mess of a B-wing that they could share, none of that was a new experience for them. Having worked in the fire department of Coruscant, cramped barracks were old hat for them.

What was new was the amount of firepower they now had. Replacing the standard turbolaser for a mass driver ripped off a frigate, and expanding the ordinance launcher to fit twice as many warheads, the StarBlazer II now acted as Starlight Squadron's Medaphorical "Do anything" Fighter that could fit any mission profile needed.
