- Description: The Imperial SpecNav Commandos are a highly elite special forces unit attached to the Imperial Navy established under the direction of Supreme Commander Marlon Sularen with the ultimate goal of providing the Imperial Navy with a vanguard force during planetary invasions while also granting them with a highly skilled and versatile trooper that can be assigned on a wide variety of missions. Often organized into small squads, the SpecNav Commandos are extremely hazardous, deceptively quiet, crafty, and skilled while also being trained in advanced hand-to-hand combat and martial arts such as Teras Kasi in addition to being equiped with high-quality weaponry making them a dangerous foe for any opposing ground forces.

- Discipline and Devotion | SpecNav Commandos are instilled with a strong sense of discipline, in addition to having a fierce devotion to the Imperial cause that allows individual units to maintain cohesion while under heavy pressure as each SpecNav Commando is strongly committed to ensure the completion of their objectives no matter how outmatched, outnumbered or outgunned they might be.
- Elite Veterans | All SpecNav Commandos are highly skilled and capable veterans of war, most of them having served in the special forces units of the predecessor factions of the Imperial Confederation with each Commando having proven themselves to be extremely skilled and capable on the battlefield making them some of the deadliest soldiers within the Imperial Armed Forces given the combination of skill and experience.
- Flexible Soldiers | Given their vast skillset and experience on the battlefield, the SpecNav Commandos are capable of easily adapting to new environments and situations on the battlefield and adjusting their strategies or outright improvising in order to overcome whatever obstacles they face and emerge triumphant against their enemies.
- Combat Versatility | SpecNav Commandos have access to a wide variety of equipment allowing them to fulfill a variety of combat roles on the battlefield which does give them the upper-hand when facing more uniform units as their combat versatility allows SpecNav Commandos to overcome each obstacle they face with unique solutions.
- Unwavering Spirit | Despite giving them a morale boost on the battlefield in spit of the odds they face, the very fanaticism of the SpecNav Commandos and their zealous determination to push forward on the battlefield in the name of the advancement of the Imperial Confederation does introduce the possibility of suffering heavy casualties which could result in the loss of entire units of SpecNav Commandos which could be disasterous in any sort of engagement.
- Expensive Upkeep | Because of the vast array of high quality equipment at their disposal which are required to give them the edge on the battlefield, it is extremely expensive to maintain each individual unit of SpecNav Commandos. The cost of creating new units to either replace or reinforce existing ones is very heavy and will consume a considerable amount of resources from the Armed Forces.
- Hard to Replace | Given the vast skillset and experience of the SpecNav Commandos, replacing them is an arduous task in itself as new recruits are largely drawn from the other military elements of the Imperial Navy that have accumulated a considerable amount of skill and experience throughout many battles, meaning that only a few candidates are available at any moment to replace a fallen SpecNav Commando.
Following the Dark Empire's initial offensive of the Deep Core, Marlon Sularen while in service of the Dark Empire as the Grand Admiral of it's Navy sought to bolster the strength of the larger Imperial Navy to ensure that the Empire could effectively project it's power through it's newly conquered territories. One of the products of this initiative was the creation of the SpecNav Commando, elite special forces units directly attached to the Imperial Navy serving as the vanguard to planetary invasions that could fulfill a variety of roles on the battlefield.
Throughout the Core Wars, the SpecNav Commandos would distinguish themselves as an effective fighting force clashing with their Alliance counterparts on numerous occasions such as the Battle of Tython, where they engaged Jedi strike teams and Alliance boarding parties to varying degrees of sucess. Despite their proven effectiveness, the Dark Empire would soon collapse in the face of unrest in the Deep Core and external pressure from the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders resulting in the formation of the Empire Reborn where military units loyal to Sularen and his faction of the Imperial Ruling Council would regroup and reconsolidate under the Empire Reborn's banner.
Among the units that followed Sularen were the SpecNav Commandos whose service under the former Lord-Regent/Grand Admiral had gone far beyond the formation of the Dark Empire with the initial iteration of SpecNav Commandos having been drawn from veteran special forces units from the Final Dawn, a Neo-Imperial entity once aligned with the Brotherhood of the Maw. As such SpecNav Commandos would continue to see service under the oversight of Sularen even as the Empire Reborn joined forces with other Imperial remnants to form the Imperial Confederation at New Alderaan.
Now, the Imperial SpecNav Commandos continue to serve their purpose as the Imperial Navy's foremost special forces units fulfilling a multirole purpose that ranges from countering enemy boarding parties on Imperial warships, acting as a vanguard force for planetary missions along with a variety of other specific mission and operations as designated by the Supreme Commander of the Imperial Armed Forces himself, Marlon Sularen. Through the Imperial SpecNav Commando, Sularen has an effective means of advancing the Imperial cause ensuring that the future of the Confederation remains secure and that the eradication of it's enemies is guaranteed.
