Some Holiday, Am I Right? (Silver Jedi Dominion of Vaynai)

Of course he was quiet. Marek had never been one to socialize before battle, he kept to himself checking over each piece of equipment methodically. Of course he looked over to a certain Master Gan for reassurance once or twice, but largely MArek simply checked over his saber. It wasn't nerves that kept him quiet, just habit, simple as that. He remembered Mygeeto, his first real war, the first and only one before his imprisonment behind and iron mask. He'd inserted quietly, then been beaten to a pulp over a smile glance, fun times. But this was different, every time was different sure but today felt special, today he felt in control. Sliding the saber back onto his belt Marek looked around the cabin at his fellow Silver Jedi.

"Excluding the pretty green one, how many of you do I actually know?" He questioned honestly, looking at the faces of those around him who were mostly strangers, soldier or Jedi it didn't really matter all were meant to be his brothers and sisters in the order and he didn't even know their names. It stung in a way, but in others it was a chance to meet new people which force knows he didn't do much. He'd been to busy turning brooding into a fething art form or something similar. Things like that took time after all.

The masked Jedi caught Connor's attention as he spoke. Another "face" he'd never encountered before, and he could only assume he was part of the Order. However, he didn't know which cell or what status the man held and thought it best to introduce himself. Gently stepping by [member="Shalla Horizonis"], he moved forward to the masked man.

He held out his hand.

"Connor Harrison. Knight of the Silver Jedi. Pleasure."

[member="Marek S'hadar"]

While the core of the Silver Jedi affiliates and Fleet continued to prep, board and descend upon Vanyai's surface below, the freighter Gurbot had boarded raced ahead with the forward forces, quite unexpectedly to him. Within a moment's notice, what was an awe-inspiring showing of the Fleet in all of its glory, turned into a barely visible haze as the ship finally breached the atmosphere. Yet again, a surprising moment enveloped Gurbot's entire conscious, in one fell moment he felt the full breadth of war-the battle's initial casualties had a near crippling effect on Gurbot, though there few as the battle was yet beginning, he felt the pain of each and every one of them as they fell. The feeling quickly dissolved however as Gurbot retained the full breadth of the situation at hand-in seconds that felt like hours, the Hutt's air-to-ground defense turrets suddenly burst to life, training their sights at the freighter, briefly taking evasive maneuvers the ship lolled and jerked from side to side but only momentarily. Soon the ship was hit-gradually descending towards the planets watery surface once closing near feet, it slammed into the water-dozens of soldiers and supplies about him, using all of the power he could muster through the force to preserve what he could of the ship and the people around him.

After finally settling within the water Gurbot darted about the water picking up as many survivors as he could manage to carry, luckily the Hutt's thugs weren't thorough enough to send a detail to inspect the wreckage. Out of a total of 400 that were initially aboard, only about 265 survived the blasts from the Huttese weapons, many of these survivors only sheltered by Gurbot's efforts before the final landing. With this, the communications on board the wreckage were salvaged as well as some of the weapons/medical supply stocks. Ferrying the survivors aboard some wreckage and his body to a nearby uninhabited island sheltered from the view of the Hutt held installation he estimated was about 6 kilometers away from there location and the crash site.

Gurbot again attempted to contact his allies arriving from space.

The ship Matsu entered to go with the others had been packed of the people and losing herself in the crowd was proving easier now as they went down. She was interested in the world and what it had history wise, [member="Aika Kawakami"] and [member="Iella E'ron"] were a good pair to watch and learn from while on the planet and [member="Jeela Tillian "] was here who she learned with and from on their journey. It brought her interest while waiting for the ship to touch down and open up. The silver jedi filing out and walking with her hands in her pockets while the others went around her form. She spared a thought for the other jedi fighting in the war and inwardly chuckled to herself. Preparing for the worst news of more falling or leaving. She moved to the water and crouched lower to touch it feeling the chill as it shook off any other thoughts. "This really is a beautiful place."

Marek accepted [member="Connor Harrison"]'s hand and shook it firmly. "Marek S'hadar, Silver Jedi Master. Pleasure's mine Mister Harrison." He replied, looking around at the rest of the cabin which remained relatively silent. It was the tension he presumed, not all could make small talk with it present, he supposed himself and Harrison were the exceptions. Despite the Sith mask, it was evident he was on their side.

He had been for a long time now, but not always.

She had only waited a few moments before an obviously flustered human approached her. Wearing the garments of a Silver Jedi, Rasu recognised the man as [member="Connor Harrison"], a recently promoted Knight of the Order. He quickly blurted out his apologies, through short intermissions allocated for quick breathing, before finally turning as another Silver Jedi approached them. Rasu could not help but smile as she watched the two chat, completely unaware of what they were all about to walk into. Already shuttles were launching around her, taking off towards the surface where finally the liberation could begin. Nodding to one [member="Thurion Heavenshield"], as he too embarked on his own shuttle along with his men, she offered a final goodbye before they would meet on the watery oceans of the planet. May the Force be with you, she thought as she watched the hatch close and the shuttle leave the hangar.

Hurrying over to the two younger Jedi, Connor and [member="Shalla Horizonis"], she tapped both on the shoulder and gestured for them to enter their own shuttle. "It's time. Prepare yourselves." Were the only supportive words that would leave her mouth, as she too mentally prepared herself for what would be the most dangerous swim of her life. However a smile appeared on her lips, as she caught a glimpse of the man under the armor, greeting the young human. [member="Marek S'hadar"] "Glad you could make it dear." she said, wrapping her arm around the man's waist, her skin slid across the cool armor that encased his body. "Care for a swim with me? she asked cheekily, carefully unstrapping his helmet, to reveal his scarred face. Planting her lips upon his, she relished in their kiss, unsure whether this would be the last they shared, Rasu would make sure it was the best. Holding the embrace for what seemed like an eternity, she pulled back, offering a smile before she sealed his mask back into place. Turning back towards her shuttle, she ensured all had entered before entering herself. Rasu turned to have one last look of the emptying hangar, everyone was ready, and she too was prepared for what lay ahead. Taking a deep breath she took a step inside as the hatch shut and her vision of the hangar ceased.

Her body shook as the craft left the solid, metal hull of the ship, and entered the chasm of space, continuing on a steady flight towards their destination. Rasu was thankful that the orbital defenses had been left inactive since the previous invasion, and that now the Silver Jedi were ensured a safe flight before diving into the cool waters of Vaynai. Her mind was left conflicted, as gradually her awareness of the planet below became littered with dark, raw emotion. It hit her slowly, but still just as painful as if she had been seared by a blaster bolt. The screams and thoughts of terror crashed onto her mind, and only by erecting a mental barrier did she find the strength to resist the calls. Looking at those Padawans that were on board, she projected her barrier so that they too would not be encompassed b the agony that swarmed the world. They did not deserve to suffer such a fate, to hear what she had heard. Soon all the cries of anguish will have dissipated and they people of Vaynai could look forward to a better future.

Her thoughts were cut short by a buzzing at her wrist, indicating an incoming transmission from the fleet. Tapping the flashing button, a stern but calm voice filled her earpiece. "Master Gan, the fleet has received a transmission from the planet surface. It is originating from one our own. Padawan [member="Gurbot Luk"]. I've informed your pilot. He'll be taking you down to rendezvous with him now."

"Understood. We'll take him along with us on the mission." she echoed back into the device on her wrist before signing off. Already she felt the shuttle swerve as it adjusted their course to suit their new orders. Rasu understood the necessity and importance of the order, they were not going to leave the Dellatian alone on the surface, not while their campaign was still in full swing. She just hoped that they would reach him, before someone unfriendly bet them there first.

Connor was about to make some small talk but was stopped by the order of [member="Rasu Gan"] - the Master was right, it was time to prepare and move out. Offering her a small smile and nod in acceptance of the plan, Connor turned to extend a farewell to the masked [member="Marek S'hadar"] when Rasu soon made her intentions clear, as well as their relationship.

A small cough escaped his throat, trying to cover the awkwardness he felt as he had tried to get a word in before their embrace. Turning to [member="Shalla Horizonis"], he gestured with his hand into the next shuttle going down planet side, following the rest.

"Shall we?"

Stepping into the shuttle, he was greeted with the armoured troopers assisting their plight, all looking the part and almost secluded in a world of their own. A few grunts here and there, the odd supportive word. Connor smiled to them all in a collective greeting as the two Jedi made their way in and took a seat along the wall of the shuttle.

"Thank you all for being part of this important moment for not just the Silver Jedi, but the people of Vaynai also. My name is Connor Harrison, and I am not giving you your orders; I am merely fighting alongside you. Your courage and bravery will not go without notice, I assure you. Jedi I may be, but behind the Force I am just like you - a living, breathing man, and my friend, Shalla Horizonis here, a living, breathing woman. We are one and the same, and this will be a decisive day for us all."

Getting swept up in the moment of actually being involved in one his biggest operations with the Order and sitting before so many others, he couldn't help think of an old holo-recording of a popular entertainment piece he'd seen years ago accounting the mighty Clone Wars and a liberation of the planet Boz Pity; it was called 'Saving Jedi Ryan'ato'.

"Left flank stick, right flank stick. Move fast and take out any gunnery holes. Watch the water with your weapons and keep your actions clear. I'll see you on the surface."

He nodded and turned to Shalla.

"Looks like we're up, kid. It'll be ok. Hit planet side and rendezvous with the rest. No problem."

Connor looked to his knees.

"No problem at all..."

The remainder of the flight down to the planet's surface was spent in meditation. Minds and nerves alike needed calming before usage, and he would require both at peak efficiency for when the time came. Troopers were speaking in hushed voices to eachother, more out of respect to their Jedi commander than out of diffidence. They all saw how his outward appearance had turned into serenity itself, and his poise was perfect in how he sat with legs crossed upon the metal floor of the shuttle. Ever since his time as a padawan, he'd tried to assimilate the same level of flawlessness in his meditative stance as Master Asha possessed, but he never felt truly satisfied. To him, no-one would ever beat Asha. Least of all him, who still thinks of her as a mother first and master second. One does not fight family. To him, the mere concept just didn't exist.

"Pardon me, Thurion-- er, Master Jedi. We're closing in on our drop zone. Thought you should know", came a cautious voice from his side. Opening his eyes, there stood his fellow native of Pelagon getting ready for the drop. The others were getting ready as well, donning their helmets and checking over their equipment one last time, finishing off with arming their weapons. "'Thurion' is just fine, my dear. Thank you, Kaith. Now go make your final preparations with the others", he said while offering a reassuring smile and a light touch of her arm. She smiled in return, even blushed a little at his touch and kind words. Her emerald skin lit up extra red as she did, prompting a quick turn on her heel to break eye-contact. Cute girl, no doubt; she had a future ahead of her after this was over. She was worthy of finding someplace to settle down and find love, raise a family and to grow old alongside her partner. He prayed that it would be the case.

Now the time was upon them. All were stood fully armed and armored, including the Jedi Master. They would be the first squad to be dropped and assault from the sea, storming the beaches under Hutt control and set up a bulkhead for the rest of the invasion force. A terrifying task, admittedly, but Thurion believed in their cause, and more importantly he believed in those around him. It was not a matter of victory or defeat, but rather of how many would live to return to their loved ones. It was the harshest truth of war, one he had problems accepting. What was the term, a "necessary evil"? It was a term he loathed using, but poignant nonetheless. "Enough of these struggles of the mind; clear your mind, padawan. One cannot fight war when at war with himself. Peace..." his mind spoke to him, using words his master would. Even after all this time, they were proven truthful.

All Shalla could think and shake her head they bad as her sister macking on anyone new or will find her as a bit of fun. Cheeking her training lightsaber, the question is did she know how to use it or was it just to hang on her waist to look pretty. As she looked at [member="Connor Harrison"] with a smile. As she give him a look over before crawling into the shuttle. Lowering her own head in a bow of respect to Connor being her superior.

Listening to every word he had to say to the men that would be with them on this mission. It was after all her first mission. It was after the speech after that she got closer to Connor whispering to him. "Very will said, full of wisdom.", as she give him a warm smile. Also raising up her hand to put it on his shoulder. If he had any telepathic ability could tell she was a bit on the nervous side. This being her first mission and also not really made for combat.

As she let herself look at each of the one that was with her thinking of her sister on another shuttle, as it was they had a medic on this one so a healer wasn't need. As she let come back to Connor eyes as they met her dark eyes of hers. That would take she more of a thinker then person that would want to battle. At less then need every last Silver in the order on this mission.

Closing her eyes knowing that could feel her Master arm around her to calm her fears down. Now she had to shake this off she was a jedi that wasn't suppose to have fears. Getting closer to Connor seem the only thing to do as she felt the shuttle rock back and forth. [member="Connor Harrison"]

A great gust of wind entered the shuttle as it's doors slid open, letting the cool forceful Vaynai breeze thrash about the interior. Rasu brought her hands down to her robe, now fluttering around against the sheer force of the wind, and pulled if over her head, leaving it hanging on a bar above her head. She now longer needed it where she was going. "Aquata breather's on everyone." she said, bringing a tiny device up to her lips, covering her nose and mouth. Activating the breather at the press of a button, she took a few short breaths of artificial air, allowing it time to filter the oxygen, before a more fresh scent entered her body. Taking hold of her lightsabers, she held both inactive in front of her as she dived, calling out to the soldiers as well as [member="Connor Harrison"] and [member="Shalla Horizonis"], who were aboard as she fell. "DIVE!"

Immediate cold hit the Shi'ido's body, and her limbs locked into place at the sheer shock of the dive. Rasu was surrounded by a murky blue, with a dense cloud of bubbles acting as a path of her dive. The muffled sound of splashing reached her ears through the water, as more and more of her soldiers jumped into the water and joined her, all using some form of aquatic breather depending on their species. Gradually the cold became bearable, and as she rose, she could feel the sunlight begin to warm her skin, easing the stiffness of her limbs until she surfaced. The deafening sound of the shuttle engine began to dissipate as just caught sight of the craft take off, returning to the fleet where it could be put to better use. They were alone now, and already Rasu's senses were extending, searching for other groups of friendlies and foe alike.

The Jedi Master had not forgotten about the Dellatian either. Stretching out with the Force, she located his unique signature almost immediately and quickly swam towards Connor, one whom she could trust leading their group to the island capital. "Connor I want you to lead the troops towards the island. I'm going to break away and retrieve our fellow Jedi and will hopefully return back to you before you've reached the thick of the fighting. Be safe and may the Force be with you." she said, placing a wet hand upon the man showing her support as she bobbed up and down under the ocean current. Smiling, she turned and swam in the direction of Padawan [member="Gurbot Luk"], alone and vulnerable, one who would soon be joined by the Jedi Master.

The hatch snap-hissed open as strong winds almost pull them out of the shuttle in the initial huff. Stood at the edge, Thurion turned to his men eager to go to work. "Today you are all my children! I love you all! May the Force be with you!" Thee simple sentences, perfectly encapsulating his feelings for them and what was to come. They would do their part, and he would do his. Aquatic breathers equipped, Thurion was the first to dive into the cool waters soon followed by the others. His instincts took over, allowed him to be a child again as he swam with perfect ease towards the beach. Already the enemy were firing upon them from their bunkers and outposts, but the waves made it difficult for their fire to be accurate as the landing party were constantly moving and obscured. So far things were going according to plan; they were the vanguard, and thus meant to draw fire away from the others.

Setting foot on the beach, Master Heavenshield quickly deflected blaster fire around him so that his squad could move ashore with greater ease. They each found some form of cover, using natural rock formations and the likes. "Move up the beach! Fall in behind me!" So they did, forming a single file at his back, effectively protected from blaster fire as they hurried up along the beach. Thurion could only hope his studies in Soresu would prove its uses at this critical moment. Once close enough to actually see their enemy, they found better cover in the form of a waist-high steel wall. "Lay down a base of fire! Draw their fire away from the next landing party! Kaith, keep your head down!" he shouted through the loud noise of battle. So far they had all performed admirably. Force be willing, they would all see this through to the end. "Lorth, grenade that turret to the left!" Soon after his order was given, the turret went up in flames. Flicking on his comm-link, Thurion spoke: "Calling all squad leaders - we're taking heavy fire and are returning fire as best we can! We've gotten their attention - now bring your men ashore!"

As the last of the spaces on their small shuttle filled up Vladimir gave a nod to each soldier that joined them, they would have to insert closer to the beach then the Jedi and some of the other soldiers due to the heavy nature of their armor, that present dangers of its own but they could risk an aquatic entry and ending up sinking beyond the pressure capabilities of their armor. He certainly didn’t want to see any soldiers crushed by their own armor.

“Take us out pilot, we are at capacity.” Vladimir looked at each soldier tagging each in his HUD quietly while the old shuttle departed following waves of drop ships destined for the surface where they would soon engage the Hutt’s forces. He isolated his squad’s frequency from the rest of those riding on the shuttle. “Heads up Alpha squad, it won’t be long now, the people down there are suffering and it’s our job to bring them the freedom they deserve. If we receive any orders from any Jedi they supersede any order you receive from me. Understood?”

Receiving affirmatives from the entire squad Vladimir relaxed into his straps a little as the shuttle descended roughly into the atmosphere. It was fortunate they didn’t have to contend with anti-aircraft fire because the Hapan man doubted the old shuttle could take any sort of beating though it was odd something about the old vessel comforted him. He felt safer on board this old bucket then he had on any other ship ever. The pilot warned them they were coming in and to prepare to disembark. Every rider worked on unstrapping as they closed the distance to their designated LZ. They could hear small arms fire hitting the side of the old shuttle ineffectively as they got closer.

Coming in low and facing its loading ramp away from the beach the old shuttle came to a rest just above the surface of the water, settling on its repulsors. Smacking a button beside him Vladimir lowered the ramp. “Get out there the LZ is hot, we need to make room for the next wave.”

Leading his own squad down the ramp he jumped into the water, it was chest high, deeper then he would have liked but acceptable. He kept his blaster out of the water snapping shots at the nearest enemies in sight as the rest of the squad joined him. The other rangers came out charging up the beach their lighter armor giving them more mobility giving the Hapan man a new appreciation for it. He spotted a Jedi down the beach coming out of the water with his own soldiers trying to push up on the enemy line drawing a lot of attention. It was a welcome sight as a lot of the enemies heavier weapons emplacements were focused there.

“Move it Alpha, get up the beach and into cover, let’s take a little pressure off for those coming in the second wave.” Vladimir ordered as he pressed up the beach blaster fire streaming all around him and his squad. The enemy was for the most part keeping their heads low firing mostly for affect trying to keep the rangers suppressed on the beach. Signalling two of his soldiers the Hapan Lieutenant indicated they should flank a nearby bunker while the rest of the squad kept them occupied. Scanning the map on his HUD with his eyes as he moved into firing position he got a sense of his surroundings.

“Open up on them boys, keep them busy.” The rest of the squad, Vladimir included opened fire on the bunker as the two soldiers flanked right to get around the side of the bunker. The enemy in the bunker responded as was to be expected, returning fire on the soldiers in front of them taking a little pressure off the Jedi and his team down the beach. The two soldiers crawled up beside the bunker primed a pair of grenades and tossed them into the bunker retreating hastily back to the rest of the squad as the grenades went off vaporizing anyone unfortunate enough to be inside.

As the shuttle doors hissed open, the wind blew into the ship with such force it made Connor squint slightly to get his bearings, allowing the final moment of peace he would have to be one of calm as the air wrapped around him as those on board began to move. Aquatic breather fixed comfortably to his mouth and lightsaber secure in his hand, Connor watched [member="Rasu Gan"] took the lead and expertly dived from the craft. Removing his black greatcoat and discarding it to one side, he nodded to young [member="Shalla Horizonis"] beside him after their order and immediately dove into the water, head down and arms like a spear before him as he fell - there was silence in those seconds from leaving the metallic hull of the ship before impacting with the icy cold water below.

A thousand needles pricked his body at once and his body wanted to shut down there and then, but the warmth of the Force empowering him and the unity of the Silver Jedi powered him through the submersion, kicking with his legs and using that speared motion with his arms to carve upwards in the water to break the surface. It felt like a black hole had surrounded him as his vision was blurry and distorted, but the light shimmering above pulled him upwards, teasing him up more and more to make it. So many lives could be lost simply not making the jump, this would not be one of those tragedies.

His head came up above the water, seeing the shuttle bank hard to pull away as the last soldier fell from the sky into the blue below. A sharp gasp of breath escaped his mouth as he pulled away the breather, holding it in his right hand as Rasu was upon him almost at once. She gave the order for him to lead the landing forces to the mainland and push on. His first real mission for the Order, one betrusted by her directly to him. He would not let her, the Order or the troops down.

Connor treaded water. "At once Master Gan. May the Force be with you also - see you on the mainland!" Returning the smile, he watched as she set off on her own course.

Soldiers passed by swimming to the shore, and Connor wasted no more time in following. He let the Force enhance his strength as he used the natural rhythm in his body to swim hard and fast to the point his hands and knees scraped the bank of the water, leading to the beach. In a fluid motion, he pushed up and unhooked his lightsaber, thumbing it into live with a satisfying snap-hiss of blue energy. At least the drop hadn't caused it to die on him!

He turned and waved onwards to all those right behind him on the beach, but past them he could already see the floating, lifeless bodies of a couple of soldiers unlucky enough to suffer a bad drop. There was no time for emotion, not now.

"Move forward! Master [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] is directly up ahead taking the brunt of this landing, so we need to get up and direct fire from his landing team at once. Use all heavy weaponry you have and aim right at their strongholds to take them out, or attract their attention!"

Connor turned and pointed to his right. "Half of you flank them from the left, the rest follow me! May the Force be with us all."

An explosion went off beside them, kicking up water, sand and rock, shaking them all from the impact. The liberation of Vaynai had certainly begun.

Aika Kawakami

Can one find true light when shadowed in darkness?
A sly grin across her face, her head turned from the cockpit window, only for her gaze to fall upon an all too familiar face. Jeela, an apprentice she had worked with in the recent past, had boarded the shuttle. In truth, Aika hadn't expected anyone to accompany her. Everyone was normally so high strong, jumping into the heat of combat. An aquatic battle was directly up that alley. It only served to prove to her that the girl was quite similar to herself. There were things, other than the battlefield that she wanted to explore. And Aika would be all too happy to guide her.

"Well, well. Quite the interesting surprise. I'd thought you surely follow your master and the others into battle. Yet, here you are. Shuttling towards something that you aren't even aware of. Why is that? What makes you turn turn from your master's path in such a way? I'm curious..."

Jeela shifted slightly, "The answer is a little complicated, Master Kawakami. I am, or am a former, student of Matsu Ike, before the change in status that I don't entirely understand." She stopped at that. "I do know know all of the circumstances involved, but it leaves some ambiguity in who my Master might be, officially, in circumstances such as these. I have been traveling with her lately, so I still learn from her." She frowned slightly. That was probably something that needed to be ironed out soon. The confusion was beginning to grate on her spine. She was not a fan of ambiguity. Things were, in her opinion, clear cut far more often than not. "And my skills in large scale engagements such as these are not of any particular value."

Matsu looked at Rasu as she ordered them to dive and her hand went to her breather and moved into it letting pulling her hair behind her ears. "Understood." She might not be able to attack with the force and defend but she knew how to defend herself and she had her saber as it activated in the water the silver blade while she swam faster and faster using what she knew of waters to propel herself forward. Rasu was skilled and Matsu remembered her work on Tund leading jedi in a desperate situation to victory and help.

Still sheltered from view of the Hutt base but 6 kilometers away, Gurbot busied himself in reorganizing order in the broken command that he had accompanied to the fight so far. Whilst tending to the wounded from the crash as best he could, he also silenced the panic stricken mob before him making sure that they were to not give away there position, as he had hoped Gurbots countenance saved him again as the individuals around him displayed there subordination-they declared that any order given by a force user was inarguable, and for that he was greatful. From the Island Gurbot set a make-shift camp to house the wounded and surviving specialists from the downed freighter. Many of the senior or more veteran troops began forming a semblance of fortification and structure amongst the chaos, Gurbot was unfamiliar with modern military tactics and stratagem so he left such things to these sorts until help would arrive. In a final show of some actual leadership however, Gurbot ordered regular patrols set up to better understand what type of situation Gurbot and his new compatriots were really facing. These various teams produced mixed results- some reported vast legions of slaves being rounded up to be used as cannon fodder at the front, others reported seeing various upper-crust type beings who appeared to be organizing the Hutt defense not far from their position, directing artillery fire and martialing legions of Klatoonians, Weequay, Dantooine natives and the like.

After several hours of attempting contact he finally reached connection with Silver fleet command who thankfully transferred his messages on to Master Gan. Seeing as Gurbot and the others were the first to arrive, unexpectedly, as he thought they were mere guards or simple ancillary specialists meant for the liberations mop-up efforts, the battle had not yet reached the point of full on apocalyptia when he first sent his messages. To put it in perspective, the initial fighting Gurbot felt and witnessed was just the mere opening act, a simple but brutal and animalistic skirmish, within the space of just two-hours the time for utter chaos arrived. Breathing deathly hell-fire came down hundreds of thousands of dropships and other weapons of war accompanied by their users, on to the planet's surface, in this instance he also felt scores of his fellow Silver Jedi arrive planet-side which soothed him greatly for the time being.

While the ground battle was beginning in earnest, Gurbot noted the fast arriving presence of his Master who had come to fetch him, the thought of it made him imagine how disgruntled she may be feeling by his unexpected tag-along venture which had not been authorized by any major official, but these thoughts and visions vanished into thin air- a couple dozen soldiers or so and a wounded officer came towards his direction at a sprint, there appeared to be a look of worry and earnest frenzy in their eyes as they relayed their correspondence. She was a simple female Dug mercenary turned-Silver Jedi Colonel named Ja'ak Shenala who only been acquainted with our service albeit briefly. Flurries of thoughts ranging from desertion towards her waxing and waning loyalties rushed through her at this critical juncture. This almost made him question his and her own leadership-but mostly the Dug's thoughts were of conviction to the fight and turning a new-leaf from her previous trade.

With a worried, broken snarl: "Hutt forces are bearing down on us hard sir Jedi, hundreds- possibly thousands of them are racing towards us on skiffs armed to the teeth with heavy ordinance! However our platoons, concentrated maybe three clicks to the southwest have been holding off so far, scouts say they may be planning to use the slaves as a cover for their advance or bait for our fire!"

Gurbot did as much as he could to calm the party down, he simply stated to them in blunt almost hoarse tone to: "Return to your post and keep your veterans on alert- if you 'warriors' can stand up to and gun down the foulest, most ancient Sith machinations then surely you can hold off a flurry of pirates and thugs with no backbone!"

After saying this, Gurbot raced off in to the southwest corner of the island near the wreckage, there, he thought to himself, he would rendezvous with Master Gan whose presence might just spur the survivors morale to hold on just a little a longer until better equipment and reinforcements could arrive to stabilze the area. Maybe then Gurbot could see that they safely get back to wherever the Silver Jedi staging area/command post was.

Saki

Came in like a wrecking maul
Oshida had arrived with the jedi master, her hands taking in the sight of Saki as the young jedi master stood ready for a fight. Their robes fluttering in the air while they walked. Whatever was there to fight had the padawan and master combo ready and wearing the Sasori bracers, boots and robes. She didn't understand the reason why more didn't go and get this equipment but then again the other pretty much didn't pay attention to what equipment had been made and used for them. "Master are we just here to fight?" She was prepared for the answer and it came with the sight that was behold. Turadium blades ejecting and retracting before she smirked. "Yeah we're fighting kid and we're going to win cause the silver jedi have been good to us. Let the council have their cliche and war we'll work to try and take down bad guys."

Into the water she dive letting her own body come into a dive without much of a splash. Slowing her own desent down into the water. As her body hit the icily water. Using the training to let heat from deep with in her body flow through each of her vein and muscles. Making her way to the surface to find where [member="Connor Harrison"] treading water at. Finding that Master [member="Rasu Gan"] giving his order not knowing what to do herself. Would just tag along with Knight Harrison.

Coming all to soon for her the firing of weapons and the bombs going off. Coming to a place that got a tingle to throw up a shield not only around her but some of the soldiers that around her radius. Only that it was a weak one not strong at all but did its job. Finding herself swimming as fast as she could to the shore to give herself the best change to get out of this. Knowing that it was the right move to keep herself to the second wave then the first this would be a blood bath something that her sister didn't need to feel or experience. Being the protector she was of her sister. Today she was more then that she had other to protect and Knight back to watch if she was even good about it.

Using the training lightsaber to on it being blue in color as she started to do just the basic move of keeping the laser fire way from her. Finding herself unable to take more then she thought as she met up with Knight . "Your order, sir Knight Harrison."

Looking behind him, he saw reinforcements arriving along with a familiar face. [member="Connor Harrison"], a man he had had the pleasure of meeting more than once. A good man with a good head on his shoulders. But these were no times for happy reunions, but of doing what you came here to do and stay alive doing it. With the turret vaporized by granades, and with several squads now supporting them, Thurion and his men could advance further up the beach and clear a few of the bunkers, further easing the advance for when the second wave arrives. "Remember to take prisoners if they surrender! There will be no unnecessary blood spilt on this day, not under my watch!" Vaulting over the meter-high wall they were huddled behind, he took the lead with the humming of azure blade in hand. "Kaith, with me! The rest of you deal with the one on the left!" his command came.

While the remainder of the squad set to work, Thurion made his way over to the right bunker with the mirialan girl in tow. She had lost her helmet in the initial drop, yet kept up the fight admirably without it. As the pair made it to their destination, he gestured for Kaith to watch his back for when he would slice his way through the steel door and take out the ones inside currently raining hell down on those still on the beach. While she hugged the wall ready to leap in at any time, Thurion barged in and with a flurry of blades the first of the defenders got his weapon sliced in half before being tackled onto the ground. The others turned their heads in surprise to see their attackers appear behind them so suddenly, and were quickly disarmed and knocked unconscious. A single shot was fired, and it was from Kaith's rifle as she'd done as told by opening fire on the soldier that had been tackled, who had attempted to shoot the Jedi in the back with a hidden pistol.

A nod of gratitude was sent her way, yet she did not return it. Instead she froze up after having realised what she'd done. "Kaith..." he breathed as he walked up to her. "It's alright. I, too, have never taken a life." He settled a hand to her cheek, wiping away the tear that had formed in the corner of her eye with his thumb. "You saved my life today. I will never forget it. Thank you." She suddenly snapped out of her frightened stare and threw her hand around his waist. Shocked at first, Thurion soon allowed himself to return the embrace. "We cannot linger, the others will have need of us. This is merely the beginning, I'm sad to say. Many more will die. It's up to us to make sure fewer does." Her racing heartbeat found some comfort in his words, and as the two pulled away from the embrace her tears were non-existant. She nodded before picking up her weapon off the ground, signalling her readiness to rejoin the battle at Master Heavenshield's side. "Good, let's go!"
