Slaves to None [Republic v. Ladies of the Cauldron]

Well damn, school had prevented Marek's writer from ever getting around to this, and the dysfunctional being known as internet explorer had destroyed his one attempt at a post. Now thankfully, the hero that was Google Chrome had his post's chances of premature deletion down. S'hadar hadn't moved, he hadn't needed too, not offensively anyway. He instead moved innocents away from harm, controlling the rage that had ruled him for so long. It hadn't been easy, every second had been painful as his mind bellowed at him to charge and give in, but some thought held him back, Rasu in all likelihood. That woman, his love, kept him anchored, kept his mind in the light and away from the darkness that dwelled within him, angrily looking for a way out.

Vulpesen's blade was already on its way to Nemene's arm when the surrenders began. I truth, had she not screamed she would have likely lost the appendage. lucky for her, the sheer force managed to slow him down, even if it wasn't directed at him. With the new time to speak those final two words, Vulpesen became grateful for one very important piece of a lightsaber. The activation switch. Flicking the power button off, Vulpesen's blade shrunk back into his hilts, coming just short of the arm. With the danger of the weapon lowered, Vulpesen made a quick three step dance which placed him smoothly behind @[member="Nemene Talith"]. Seeing @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] already on his way to arrest her, Vulpesen stayed in place, moving his dogs in formation around him.

Josh nodded to @[member="Vulpesen"] as he saw him make the move to arrest @[member="Nemene Talith"].

"Go ahead. I'm simply here to assist" the Jedi Master said as he turned to @[member="Sopher Jakobs"] and @[member="Evelynn"].

"Take her where you like, Knight Sopher... But remember not to let your emotions get the best of you. The reason I'm here was because I made a promise to Evelynn's mother before she died. The plan was to bring her to the Temple to protect her, look at her, make sure Kaine didn't put anything in her to bring harm to her for obedience, and if so, purge it from her and free her.... And then from there protect her from the Sith so they couldn't harm her like they did to Karin. If you feel you have a better way and a better place to protect her... By all means, do it, you know her better then I. But if I get word you're bringing harm to her, I'm going to intervene"

With his instructions and his warning, the Jedi Master would turn and return to the ship to tell the shuttle crew to prepare for takeoff. He would leave the other Jedi to do their mission, and would wait for them where they had landed.

Vulpesen nodded and pulled out a set of cuffs, quickly getting to work in restraining the sith lady. "Miss @[member="Nemene Talith"], you are hereby under arrest for slavery, murder, torture, and various other charges." Oh, how good it felt to say those words. After months of struggling with the loss that led to his torture, and near death, Vulpesen could now say that he had come out on top. It was an amazing feeling and now, he would happily place this woman with either the department of reconciliation, or in a nice ysalimiri filled jail cell.

The attendants at the dock had been most talkative, and very interested in detaining the Jedi and her pilot. When there was a massive surge of bodies in pain, that echoed through the Force in a crippling way, Kiskla was distracted. Enough of this fodder.
With a wave of her hand, she assured the attendant that the credits they'd received were more than enough, and took off in a flurry.

She had hoped that the shadows would succeed without intervention, but pushed the scolding thoughts from her mentality as she weaved through the crowds of people making an exodus from a pin-pointed location. But it wasn't the first time Kiskla had gone against the stream, and galaxy knows it wouldn't be the last.

She skidded to a stop just in time to catch her breath at the wreckage and carnage that had managed to happen, even with the amount of Jedi present. And apparently, the Jedi's Grandmaster too? What was he doing here? This was a mission to get other Jedi involved, even she had purposely distanced themselves for others to gain experience. She caught the tail end of the blonde boy's (@[member="Sopher Jakobs"]) conversation with @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"], and Kiskla could only put two-and-two together in her disadvantaged position.

"Actually Padawan," She interjected, "You will bring her to back to The Order, along with her dark sister. Both must be tried for their crimes." And this was when attachments got awkward. But I mean, they were pretty cute. Potential for later. She was actually surprised Vulpesen didn't object to Josh's instruction, considering he had been a personal victim to the two Sith. But, just in case her instruction wasn't enough, she afforded an explanation with a simple gesture and "Look around."

That instruction aside, she caste a woeful look around at the blood and dismemberment scattered around the immediate area, sucking in a harsh breath between her teeth. @[member="Ben Trasker"] had apparently met his first dosage of Sith magics. He would need tending to. She flicked a switch on her commlink that transferred back to the Republican pilot to prepare for takeoff.

"Knight Sinopi, and S'hadar please escort @[member="Vulpesen"] and his prisoner back to the ship." She didn't want him left along with @[member="Nemene Talith"] again; even with her current defeatist attitude. (@[member="Marek S'hadar"], @[member="Nemene Talith"] and @[member="Coci Sinopi"]).

"@[member="Flint Dexen"], show @[member="Sopher Jakobs"] and the Sith Mistress back to our transport." (And @[member="Evelynn"]). She would take Ben and do what she could to help with the clean up, but first -- "And Master DragonsFlame; stay your hand." AKA don't intervene again.

Josh had been on his way back to the ship when he had been stopped by @[member="Kiskla Grayson"]. He turned back and smiled faintly at the Jedi Master.

"My hands are clean, Master Grayson" he said calmly, before continuing his walk without another word.

So Nemene took that rather well, huh?

No. Really.

Evelynn was very aware of her sister's gaze, the one currently burning through her skull with furious precision. The bond gave it away. The Sith felt shame twisting in her gut, oh yes and it showed on her face. Funny that. Perhaps to an observer it would seem that she was remorseful, that through her atrocious acts guilt had formed, but that was not the case.

Do not be fooled by the silent waif.

Her shame came from surrendering, not to mention the fact that she had acted extremely rashly and with much more emotion than usual. Evelynn was supposed to be the calm, reserved Queen but she had taken that idea, chewed it up and spat it out with glee and now they were here, humiliated, arrested....

...or...not?

Around her a situation unravelled. She blinked. Was this real life? She was just going to commit awful crimes against humanity and run off with her one true love? An eyebrow unconsciously perked up, not that she objected but...on a scale of one to unexpected this was a solid spontaneous combustion. Getting away with murder.

She took Sopher's hand.

Then reality came crashing down around them in the form of a blonde woman, who promptly took all reigns and ended the brief moment of madness and potential freedom. There would be no frolicking in the fields for this pair, no, no, keep it real with star-crossed lovers. Evelynn's stare went straight to the ground, with a mind full of conflicting thoughts and emotions the girl said absolutely nothing, save for one private telepathic message.

Nemene, I'm sorry.

The screams from the two Sith did little to Coci, her mind blocked to such outside forces, however she had remained in position .. concealed by the force as she had been all through this, but now was the time to drop the cloak. Two unidentified Jedi had entered the area from where she did not know, but they had intervened and what their intentions where was also an unknown and to her unimportant. The objective of the mission and the orders from Master Grayson their only directive.

She was astounded by the two Jedi and their association with the blonde Sith, the woman had just attacked civilians in front of them and the Jedi only saw fit to placate her, pat her on the back with a 'there there'. It made Coci's stomach sick to see it. The women are murderers and need to be brought to justice for their crimes. The Republic and the Jedi Order do not execute, so she wonder what why two Jedi did this, why they did not see the necessity for justice regardless of their clear personal attachment to her.

As Coci now stood before then in full view, she looked to Master S'hadar and nodded her understanding of Master Grayson orders. Her lightsaber ignited and the purple blade hummed into life. "Move forward", she said in a cold voice to the Sith woman (@Nemene Talith) as her blade pointed to the woman's back.

Sopher felt the hold of Evelynn’s hand and gripped it tightly. He was going to get her out of here, escape and bring her to a place where she would be happy. In his mind he would have gladly left the Order to spend the rest of his days on some remote planet with Evelynn doing things that people on remote planets do. Of course, we couldn’t end their story like that and @[member="Kiskla Grayson"] hopped onto the scene to cause another hurdle for the star-crossed lovers, not to mention the whole death, destruction and bloodboiling? (really?)

He looked around at the mess that had happened, of course he saw it and took it in, but in his eyes @[member="Evelynn"] couldn’t have done any of this. If she did, he’d still love her and help her recover from whatever caused her to do this. Love was blind like that and Sopher was the blindest of them all. Looking back at Evelynn, he knew when not to argue he should have taken the blatant lack of judgement from the Grand Master and left with Evelynn when he had the chance. Now though, he was stuck with a Jedi giving the orders.

Giving Evelynn’s hand a squeeze he casted her another smile. “I’ll fix all of this Evelynn, I’ll protect you the best I can...I’m sorry.” Casting his narrowed eyes towards Kiskla, he needed to figure something out before Evelynn became lost in the system of the trials. He gave the blond Sith a hug tightly and protectively around her, once he released her they headed towards the shuttle.

She said nothing. She didn't look at anyone, she didn't even fly into a rage when the Jedi girl commanded her to move. Nemene simply seethed. Anger and rage bubbled beneath the surface, masked and hidden so well that even an empath would not be able to find it. The only one who could...was Evelynn.

She moved towards the Shuttle with painted steps, not taking too long, but not exactly hurrying either. With each foot forward Nemene seemed to seethe more and more, her hatred boiling to a point where it became not hot...but cool. A sort of divine calm came over her. The Queen of Rattataks face twisted for a second, rage flashing across it, and then it turned into serene marble. As she stepped onto the ramp of the shuttle she heard a voice break through her head, an oh so familiar voice.

She frowned slightly, but only for the smallest of seconds.

Her gaze once again drifted to Evelynn, only a few dozen or so Meters behind her this time. She completely ignored the Jedi Woman at her back, as if the blade that was about to impale her wasn't even there. Instead she looked at Evelynn, her sun orange eyes filled with death.

For the first time her voice echoed in only one place, Evelynns thoughts. You will be.

Things went quicker than Flint would've liked, or had even anticipated. More Jedi, those that Flint knew hadn't been on their transport here, just simply showed up. Before the Jedi Knight could act, he found himself flung across the street, painfully smashing into a crowd of people. Flint managed to get up, find his way back through the crowd, and by that point, things seemed to have been resolved.

"Flint Dexen, show Sopher Jakobs and the Sith Mistress back to our transport." said Master Grayson, and Flint nodded.

Without another word, Flint observed the blonde couple exchange a hug, before escorting them directly back to the shuttle. Once inside the transport, the Jedi continued to keep a close eye on them. They would face justice for the crimes they had committed against the Republic once they delivered them to Coruscant, Flint thought to himself in satisfaction as he rubbed his wounded shoulder.
