Dev Shadows of Atrisia

She imagined with the numbers hey had on the island though it wasn't going to be easy to dislodge them from here in a firefight... or a jungle warfare situations. She stayed quiet while walking through and the path opened up to one of the roadways they had for their equipment transports... Junko could see the heavy transports moving with more supplies for building and excavation equipment. The sound of walkers which she knew were doubled and able to be heavy troop transports towering when they moved through the trees and while they did have a low turning speed the walkers were heavy and strong and loaded with weapons so that they would be able to defend an area.

Junko was checking out some of the other areas they had set up... the paths would lead to different areas of the forest and she could see markers on the trees. "I take it aside from the paths there is defenses like mines in the trees?" There was likely other things as well, they were developing in the labs a newer model stealth turrets that would be able to be set up and with something thsat could fire from cloaking using redirection crystals and tibanna X gases so the shots themselves were invisible. Iwould serve tobe one of the more dangerous things if the engineers could get them set up properly and she knew they were working on reinforcements namely for walls and windows.

Junko added it to the list of things that they would be doing, the reinforcements, and portable defensive field units which could be used to defend an area and add tangle foot fields or shock traps. Se knew the auto turrets they had designed years ago were in need of a serious upgrade using the newer technologies that had been developed and if they were able to make it with a stealth model again but they should be able to add a few new features to the design. She checked out a few of the tech based weapons and designs as the seeker drones hovered around and for Atrisian soldiers they had the companion droids but the new seeker drones served as well.

Their first stop was the military installation on it and Junko could see the main entrance in the side of the mountains with the cliff overlooking the large section of the island but it was deception as well. The mountain was still there and she could once she sawit find the observation windows. Where they were looking over the main village and the coastline towards the sea wall andthe skies. Once she saw that she could see the silo's which housed the turrets that would be able to rotate out and take up position to have massive firing arcs for the air and the island itself with superior positioning. She could then see and follow towards the main entrance which had heavy doors there covering the bay with vehicles.

The vehicle bay of the military base was impressive as she came in and could see the speeders and transports. They didn't have fighters but they had two of the walkers here and she knew that they had basilisk war droid able to be deployed from pressor tubes as Lau had described so if they had to defend the war droids could be launched into the air and descend upon enemy forces which gave the droids an advantage. Based on the history of how they were deployed from orbit allowing one to smash into enemy forces. She did grin with that and stood in the bay smelling the scent of a repair bay.. the machine shop and sweat mixed with oils and fuel.

"Impressive." She was looking at it and many of the mandalorians who were standing here around them. She could see the gleaming armor and they had racks of weapons and equipment that could be deployed for them to use. She could see the anchor points for the advanced storage space that had been developed and that would give them access to far more as there were droids bringing out the supplies and putting other crates in there. She could see the bluish green swirl of the pocket dimension that the anchor points created and with its own self sustaining power source it would last plenty. She was able to see more as they were using itwith a cold storage module for ships.

The cold storage module was something that she rather liked for ships... designed to shrink and store several dozen ships within its hold so long as it had power and it seemed they had installed it with an iso power source which would keep it running. Once they managed to get some of the ships within they could keep them stored or in this case she could see what they were storing in there with some of the walkers and a few of the fighters. Transports as well as freighters that could be used to travel to the Anshin. She imagined they would have other ships at the ports in the cities. Junko walked through it with Lau who was showing the rooms of the base where they worked to improve their own weapons.

"We have been working on improving some of the Atrisian weapons as part of a contract with the Atrisian military. Same as trainingsome of their elite teams in combat forms." She was proud and Junko could see many of the others as the main area of the base she could see was a large mess hall with tables much like the village long house but instead of fires there was lights and fireglass which served to cook the large sides of meats that were there without the smoke. She could smell the food that was cooking and gave a nod of her head while walking inside and saw several families... which was a broad term in maandalorians but these were parents with children who were teaching them.

on everything they were doing in the early morning. From the cooking foods to what was being taught itself... much like Atrisian academies now they were teaching history and lore but also engineering, sciences.. in a different sense to allowing themselves the ability to survive in the field where they would be faced with more challenges and dangers. She could see they were teaching about the local plants and how to distinguish them for survival or for being able to hunt and stock up in a dangerous survival situation. In combat they were getting a chance to work with and look at different weapons, equipment and there was care being given so that each would be able to improve.

"This is the main hall, we have food and classes for the children. We have gotten the latest supplies of weapons and equipment from the military to test out and see where it can be improved.. we have been working on a direct combat upgrade for the kirano thatwill give combat analysis and breakdowns to improve reaction times as well as engineering and technical skills across the board. The newest things would be improvements though." Lau looked at Junko and pulled it up as they were showing the kirano and the second series of upgrades that would be going into it. "For hand to hand and weapon improvements we are also looking for it to have a massive vehicle database from around the galaxy to let people drive or fly or operate anything.

Junko nodded her approval to that... the improvements they made wee usually small but they could go a long way.. it had been their help for making he shots velocity that came out as all of the current Atrisian weapons were devastating.. they were made to smash and destroy anything that they came across with shifter ammo that broke it down at the molecular level and tracking ammo that would be able to target and follow or find enemies. They had set up a whole lot of things that would shoot through, that would protect them and they had helped get it so even the pistols fired the shots at such speed it generally vaporized with the shockwave of the impact.

She was also looking at what they had done to tweak some of the equipment like the fortifications that had been set up. Beskar barricades that could for lack ofa better method reinforce walls while shield gates covered the viewports optimizing the defensive capabilities of structures and then there was the wall mounted defensive laser that could et traps. They had prepared more things like an upgrade to the mandalorian rollers which were basically droid bombs and drones that would be able to fly around and become variable mines as needed. She could see what they were working on vehicle wise as the speeders were on display.

They were also showing in displays areas of the city that had been being worked on.. the walls that could be fortified and areas of the sea walls where boats were... massive and moving slowly but presenting ships that were heavily armed and armored. Junko knew they were going to have to make a new model of the Celeste class but they were looking to make and remake several dozen models.. it would just be a small thing to make some tweaks for them. The design of their ships would become something big for the Atrisian economy as Sasori products could be produced from several of the massive shipyards that had been set up around the galaxy.

The princess nodded her head as information was coming to her and the others from their shadownet connections... information updated from Ju Li and Shoma who were on Coruscant in senate sessions where the Alliance was talking about corruption and she had to admit... they were a lot faster then as a jedi masters.. or former jedi masters message played showcasing many things for all to see. She knew there was a renewal for an alliance, there was the senate session and everything else that was happening. At least they were being able to keep up with current goings on in the galaxy and it was serve them as needed.

The information was illuminating as she had seen jedi tried and convicted... notable was her cousin Matsu who had killed people and did go to prison but was pardoned by the same council almost right away cause her former padawan wanted training.. so instead of going to a prison he used his position to have her set free. Je'gan as she recalled hadn't liked that and others barely cared. matsu was one of the brightest minds in the jedi and rarely saw or interacted with most of the jedi preferring the Jadeite order she started on Ahch-To with artisans, scientists within the order and engineers who organized everything in a hyper traditional role...some thought that meant old republic attachments are bad but she went back further then that and they believed in force dynasties. Actually they encouraged them.

There was more but the Jadeite and their well beliefs in the forces will was something far different then what some of the others would have. Junko was looking and they developed for the many different jedi orders equipment.. whether it was being used well that was a question for a different time... it was used by those who liked it and with the organizational set up of the Jadeite it benefited from a whole lot of different jedi views or ones united in a common cause in serving the force and the lightside itself. The Wukong were the Atrisian version of the Jedi and had been for awhile.. lightside exclusivel and more reforms were being pushed to try and getthe darkside off of the world while maintaining an understanding of the ones who use it.

Junko was listening to more of it the senate session seemed to be turning into more and more.... boredom and tedium.. anti-Imperial sentiment made it seem stranger as the Atrisian emperor and empress might think largely different then them and cared little. Atrisia wanted to be left alone and the Commonwealth adopted many of its views from its ancestors. She didn't enjoya lot of the views where the Alliance was going to it seemed gleefully interfere with a planets government.... thankfully her thoughts were prepared for that as well since Shoma was handling some of the problems and her display showed a few things were coming up from Quen'lo.

The rebel city was always a questionable place she wasn't against it in theory but they were also ignorant and compared to the rest of Atrisia gleefully ignored advances in technology falling well behind in what the other villages were getting. The space port being one of the few things they had that remained but airships were designed to travel over themountains. Somehow though she imagined ifthere was a decision it would be going in reverse as the walls of defense would be used to keep them in and away from expansion in the mountains themselves. Actually she thought about it and was distracted for a moment thinking it was a pretty good idea.

That distraction had not gone a long way... she was checking over a few things but brought up the hologram display. She was looking at more of the things the mandalorians were showing in the displays. Foodwas being cooked and they continued deeper into the facility were Junko could see a few things. They had forges and armorers, hunters who had gone across the galaxy and brought back prized trophies like skulls and she was able to see some plates or hides from other creatures that were being analyzed. "Impressive... most Impressive." She said it as the information came over about some of the metal and they were experimenting with beskar here and Nnth metal.

She could see they were developing and working on the barricades that was requested. For in the field, unidirectional shields that would allow them to block off doorways while fortifying walls and sections of a building. The jedi princess had a look on her face when they got to another room that was lierally set aside for currency from around the galaxy... riches and things that could be used to pay for any number of things and showed well what had been happening with Atrisia. They prospered in terms of economy since they had developed the technologies to improve upon quality of life itself which benefited everyone on the planet except Quan'lo which refused.

She was debating a time to visit the rebel city.. it was not aplace the royal family went often and it was not a place where most of Atrisia sought to be. They were able to use the mountains to their advantage but with the airship they should be able to check but wouldn't need to go down. Their port was largely set to go to the ANshin which reserved them space and the parliament building where many of the delegates would be able to meet. Sadly for the overly democratic people there they were a large minority that had the Guiying nearby who were fiercely loyal to the throne... and they maintained hundreds of thousands of soldiers.. had refined warfare and the soldier units of Atrisia.

She was looking at some of the other things the were developing like one of the light recon vehicles that were being upgraded... better materials, better built on weapon that could fire without recoil that would push it back or around. The tires were being set up to be multi use with treads or the ability to shift and let it hover for going over water or terrain. She could see them working on the heavy assault frame and exo frame that had been developed for the rangers but was largely abndoned now that they seemed to have moved on to sub-par armor and equipment. They had improved upon the weapons easily enough to make their new ones and the armor but the vehicles now.

Juko was looking at more of it as she and Lau reviewed the different designs that had been touched up... there was even the older guardian armor that seemed almost impossibly improved upon... with flight systems, weapons and it became largely a battleframe as opposed to simple robes... it was like being in a walking tank that the jedi would be able to be sealed in for hours or even days on end. They were also working on updates to some things like the brazier that had been developed and improvements to scouters to find life signs and force signatures. Lau brought up some of the other things they had made like advanced skylar material.

They also had somethings that would be improved upon here with weapons. The second fleet designed equipment was impressive but the stealth based tech could be better utilized as something they developed and built into more streamlined armaments. The broadside pack alone if they could smooth it out and have it deploy from shis would allow them to pack a punch or the tractor pressor snares if they could do it right. They had the improved cannons and turbolasers.. they had managed to create the second model somins but there was more interest in really beefing up the defensives for the ships that were being made.

Junko was checking on more of it as it seemed the senate session was scaling down. Shoma and Ju Li would have something to do but it was clear the senate had a bias that they were using as a blunt instrument against Imperial interests... and here was the problem. Atrisia joined because they had to not because they wanted to. Everything was looking like they would regret it but they would have to knuckle under. Atrisia hadn't been asked it had been told and was just another notch in the belt of the alliance who were pushing outwards more and more to overtake everything. It wasn't a question of controlling the core they sought to control everything that they saw on the map.

They would have to handle it when things came down to it... she knew one thing.. they would endure, longer and more often then anything they would endure as needed and if Shoma learned things whilein their senate about politics then it would have to be helped. Ju Li wasn't one to be manipulated and turned against her people and they were getting groups like the dreamguard who handled force influence on their people. There was the metsuka who were working to handle threats and problems... the different and diverse to borrow a phrase group of loyal atrisian soldiers who handled special operations that their military might not be able to handle.

There was some of them here, more advanced Metsuka who were being trained in mandalorian hand to hand techniques which was allowed and some of the offworlders were brought into the clan if the wanted to be since Xam'chi housed what was considered the closest to the Metsuka's public offices. They were one ofthe easier to see as well as special forces, they could do training exercises in the arena and the pair of them were impressive fighting the mandalorians.. she suspected they were one of the smaller groups. A pair that would function like headhunters and able to operate behind enemy lines as it was needed. Their armor differing but advanced using Atrisian technology.

Junko could see some of the other mandalorians who were here and one of them was massive... broad shouldered in his armor with a battleframe instead of an armored suit that was equipped with duel heavy cannons on par with E-Webs that could look at and open up a heavy volley of shots. "These are impressive." She would want him to if she could be a shield to protect from some of the dangers if anything... a bodyguard like that got you left alone even if you were one of the princesses. She would need it if she was going to Quan'Lo at least as the people there could be idiots and like in Kansai were ultra progressive to the point they might have riots but instead they were isolated in the mountains.

She had seen that in Kansai and the attitude infected the academy which had been shut down... now they were looking for different means to improve upon rooting these well frankly dangerous people out or at least containing them. Much like Mythos followers who benefited when the people were oppressed and under their heels the regressives who sought to destroy everything on Atrisia were the minority of a minority who could have their own little fiefdom. The representatives from the cities and the different worlds presented a united front and now they had the Sansins who would meet and coordinate with the emperor and empress.

There was also the benefit of having protectors like the Boughtine and Lau with her mandalorians, they had weavers who worked on the world... the dreamguard and the blackguard who worked to give them protection and information. The children of the jedi were another thing that they got to see... the Altisian jedi who served on the island owed and helped them in exchange she knew for protection and the secret of their location. She could see Lau though with her mandos who were waiting for feedback ifonly to show off more of the thingsthat had designed. "This is wonderfully robust... new droids and weapon platforms will be something that we can use.

"Thank you for that princess, it has been something different to say the least. We never expected to be so welcomed in our approach but the clan has been given a fair amount of freedom for our service and while we only have the island." Junko turned her head to look at her with raised eyebrows. "Let me finish... we choose to stay here and the clan wants to be smaller... we are not trying to convert the whole planet to being mandalorians. We just wanted to survive and get away from the dangers at the time and still do. Mandalorians falter and go back and forth between heroes and villains and worse just mercenaries with honor being secondary to the credits."

Junko nodded as she had dealt with a few of them and knew this clan as well as one other who chose to stay away from the constant state of switching alliances. That there was always another claiming to be the mand'alor and in charge but that wasn't how it worked. They were not given it for wanting it they were chosen because they were respected. "I know that we have met one or two other clans who felt the same... even worked with us to make some of the older equipment and a few of the more innovative rounds we have designed." She said it but had a grin on her face wrapping an arm around the shoulder of the armored woman. "Besides you have helped Atrisia as much as it has helped you."

Lau seemed even prouder with that. "Well then that makes this next part easier as we do want to try and improve some of the military facilities... we have been integrating with the world for a long time... we can share some ideas and know that some of the yovshin being able to attack with basilisk style war droids to defend cities and the colonies would be impressive and helpful." She seemed to have ideas about adding to their military facilities and it would be a nice thing to have... the classical ones were serving a purpose on the surface that was being seen but they were working to make more high tech and advanced military bases that the soldiers would be able to move around.

Junko knew what they were doing by having the classic design on the surface while below would be the more impressive bases and facilities... They were designing them with their own internal iso-didactic systems that would ensure the power was being fed into it and more impressive designs. THey just needed to get the two systems that would be used for the bases and facilities. One for creating it which would be able to house millions of soldiers and improve the population of the planet as well as for the planet a teleportation network that can be used. There was alsothe improvements to vehicles and transports that would be done... and their airships and naval forces on the world.

Junko brought her hand over to the map and pulled up some of the other facilities as she filled it in and the assembly AI which was installed aross Atrisia to help with organization but wasn't in direct control of their systems to prevent slicing came up. "We have a fair amount more and with this you can see where the most improvements are being done.. we are trying to work on military build up for defending the world but know from experience enemy forces ignore most defenses... it seems in the face of our shielding, fortifications and soldiers they can teleport and know always what moves we are going to do before we do it."

That mentality though gave them ideas about what they could do and what they would better be able to rebuild both building and their population. Birthing creches were a thing on Atrisian for those who well for those who wanted a better life then what they had or were trying to escape their family... they could make a new family.. they could rebuild Atrisia for the colonies and new endeavors having their clan as one of the first to reach out in the new era. Some might view that as archaic but it wasn't forced or mistreating them just a part of their worldthat was allowed.. the Wukong did something similar trying to makesome of the stronger bloodlines in the force.

She knew how a few groups and based on what they had seen of the senate session would view that as.. she knew they were anti-imperial and it seemed no one read the fine print as you could literally be detained and disposed regardless of your position or status.... Junko did not like that as it also seemed clear they had a goal rather then the evidence and had already decided the lord Imperitors guilt without actually presenting things... it was more or less just flimsy justification to rule over the people. Shoma and Ju Li would have to be careful in this new political minefield but it did mean that Atrisia now more then ever seemed to have the better idea of avoiding offworlders.

"Our expansion though does not mean we wish to convert the entire planet to our clan... the ways of the mandalorians are not for everyone of course but if we can spread to the mainland we might be able to bring some of the more.... renegade elements like Quen'lo in line as the are more dangerous then given credits.. I know they are a festering wound that is always trying to undermine the Emperor and Empress... there is also whatever machinations they have created like in Kansai province. We all heard about the academy trying to outright kill its people because they didn't want to follow a new idealogy." Junko looked at her and raised an eyebrow.

"Progressive ideals are one thing... there is nothing wrong with wanting to advances and progress forward as a people where they run into problems is that they want to spit on the faces of thousands of generations of Atrisians and say everyone was evil and wicked compared to them.. they want to kill and imprison for wrong think, they want to hate everyone and have neighbors against neighbors." That was where they ruined the message, when you hated everything about yourself and tried to burn it all down for an ideal with nothing that would be there afterwards asides from equity... no one wanted to listen.... She listened but she found no substance to what they wanted to do.

Lau was looking at her. "Oh I know and they are so far in their own echo chamber they don't thinkthey are or could ever be wrong... ignorance to the point they would sell the entire planetout to offworlders like the Galactic Alliance if it meant they got a pat on the head." She had a look on her face but they had much more to do and see as the blueprints of the base came out in an area of the island that would access the airfield itself and the ships they had... Starships were not used on the planet afterall so the airships were being designed to be much more useful since anti-air weapons targeted faster moving ships and Atrisian airships had systems to not be targeted.
