Dev Shadows of Atrisia

[Junko Ike]

Junko knew that all too well.. she knew that offworlders liked to think they were saving them or bringing the gift of advanced civilization... sadly generally Atrisia had more advances both in technology and it well attitudes compared to them. "Yes though it is hard to not want to look at the people from Kyushi... Atrisian beauty standards are higher then most and even our commoners if they must be called such have better qualities then many others." She said it with more pride as they had worked to make sure even the lowest on the social ladder of Atrisia had amenities that made them seem like kings compared to other worlds.

Bao laughed with her and she brought her arm up practically pinning Junko to the wall but she spoke getting close and against her cheek. "You have done so much and I rarely hear about you... who rewards you princess?" She said it with a smile on her face that left a warmth on Junko's cheek before she was checking out the length ofher muscled body. Bao wrapped the arms around her and the two went towards the lounge as Junko let out a breath wondering for a moment if she was part zeltron but let it go as she knew a lot of what they knew from the ancient Atrisians was their decadance which led to their downfall where pleasures of the flesh were easily given and taken.

Oh now this was a surprise... kind of as she stood there and molded herself against her. Pulling back just enough for the two of them to enjoy the night as she woke up in the morning with the salt air and breeze around them. The jedi princess stretched out in the bed and curled up playing with the dark hair and the silk sheets. She was unsure about a few things but certain that Bao was going to make things fun. The slks she had brought serving as a good enough trade deal. The woman stirred a little wrapping an arm around her and kissing for a moment as the two of them got up they had fruits set out by servants along with tea for the two of them to drink.

She slipped into one of the silk kimono's and spoke looking at Bao who was there with her. "Morning." The woman looked at her with a raised eyebrow but sat down leaningback a little before she spoke. "Morningprincess... I am surprised you can move." The grin on her face was knowing but Junko spoke. "Healing with the force... also you are not the first just one of the few I haven't had a lot of time to meet." She said it and looked at her datapad for what she needed to do today and meeting Lau and the mandalorians as well as going to someof the islands that were being worked on was the main thing.. the other was seeing some of the districts of the city.

Bao was looking at her and the princess spoke. "I have a full day.. I imagine you shall as well with trade deals now. I know that silk you brought will go for a pretty credit with some of the offworlders who are here and with the nobles. Sunless lands silk is quite eye catching." She said it and had a wide grin on her face. Bao spoke though taking a sip of the tea and she had some of the fruit. "I do but that doesn't mean you can't come back here tonight... rather like this." She looked over at Junko with a nod before finishing the fruit quickly enough and some more food was being brought for the pair of them as Junko looked over her information.

"Well I certainly am not in any hurry but I imagine Kioshi would like to have some talks with you." She said it and offered a look.. she wasn't delusional and if Bao was going to be comingaround here might as well get her someone who would be receptive to her advances and skills... plus it would make a few who have feathers to ruffle gasp at the sansin with a woman from Kyushi... not because a woman mind but because most seemed to think sinceshe was injured she is unable to be with anyone. "I am not one for playing matchmaker but she would be a good choice as I do not know how often I will be around here or your homeland... I cannot make any promises.

That seemed to get a look from her but she wasn't upset aout it. "I am notone for being matched princess and while the Sansin may be beautiful if a little awkward... I understand more then some that this was likely a one time thing or something to happen if we run into each other again. My trade relations with the city will likely be continued and she will not need m... attentions." There was a smirk on her face with that and the woman held the barest hint ofa laugh in her eyes but Junko could sense much in the way of good humor to it.. she seemed to want to say some more though. "But you should also have one of the bolts of silk we brought... both of you should."

Junko had a look on her face with that but she bwed... it was a nice gesture and a dress made from the silk would be beautiful beyond many but she was a little saddened.. the idea of Bao and Kioshi being friends would have sat better as she didn't like abandoning them but she was checking it out after returning to her closet and getting dressed. She had a day of meetings and when she came out Bao was gone with the bolt of silk there on the bed. She had the droids take it while wearing a sky blue kimono that would let her look more inviting to the others who were coming to join her. A trip to see the mandalorians was worth an entourage after all.

The boat that she got to go to though was beautiful... low to the water and with a mixture of wooden paneling over the more advanced metals. the Boughtine who had been recruited by her cousin well they were good with boats and knew how to sail which was a novelty across the galaxy... more then that they rather seemed to enjoy the ideas of working on worlds with other lightside groups. That the wore facepaint in visages of a warrior, tattoos of force laced ink and furs, leathers only made them seem like beings out of stories.. raiders who would come in the night to sack villages along the shore line. Their looks were impressive to her.

"Princess." The two spoke and stood there offering her a hand to get into the boat which had sails... actual sails... and repulsors for moving in the waters but it used the sails first which just had her smiling as the scent of salt on the air came to her. This close to the ocean they could see the waves being generated and were taking them towards the islands in the distance. The first seawall that had been built as a defensive measure was there and it towered over everything with naval ships there in its shadow to be obscured. From the carriers to the more destroyer type ships and the defensive wall cannons moved around scanning the air and waters.

She could see move as the massive war droids stood in the waters and were able to still tower... one of the finest creations they were like small living cities that could be used to house a squad to back up and repair it. The orchid platforms that moved around as well served as back up and together the two different platforms could respond to threats on the walls as needed while the cannons provided a limited range. The shielding projectors and towers with the bleached white pink walls still gave the best impressions. The different islands that were scattered around had crystal clear waters as the silt filters and shielding to prevent predators from being here could be seen.

"There it is princess." One of her handmaidens spoke as she was standing next to her. the girl in her robes so she blended into the entourage but she was in the same colors as Junko and could look like her as a body double with some of the small enhancements that the Otachi used. It got a small look but they were able to move around in the boat and the boughtine with them offered hands to keep them steady. Junko accepted it from Rangi who was painted up with blue tattoos and she was held steady. A benefit of their boats was they weren't massive and low to the water allowed them to go onto the shore easily enough as it came in and a small lurch forward for all of them.

The boughtine were moving and helping them off, Lau was there with some of the other mandalorians landing with their jet packs and removing their helmets she noticed a few of them were alien as well... not just Atrisian but there was a wookiee, a zeltron and a twi'lek there as well as some Atrisians that showed how the group had become ingrained in society here at least. "Greetings princess, welcome to our island or your island but we live here." She said it offering a smirk as Junko bowed her head. "Your people have done more then enough, helped us more then enough tohave earned their place here or anywhere... this is your home and will continue to be so."

That got nods and Junko with her handmaidens was being escorted by one of the Boughtine and her handmaidens up to the village itself. The island easily defended as the jungle like area hide walls and fortifications within it. Shielding towers yes but also she could see the patrolling basilick war droids that they could literally ride into battle and there were shielding towers for projecting around the island. She was seeing other things like their buildings were designed in a way to protect each others, with second levels that used capstone turrets to have anti air and full view of the area around them and a central area that held a center platform for them to take cover.

Junko was seeing more of it and Lau was there with her helmet clipped to her belt as she walked. "Is it everything you hoped for princess." She said it with a sort of confidence and pride... she wasn't trying to rub it in her face... mor wanting to likely confirm her own suspicions about Junko's actions... the princess after all was traveling across Atrisia and could arrive anywhere to check on things.. so it was now on the Sansin to try and prepare without seeming like they have only cleaned up or put up for her inspection... other lords and ladies were happy to do much as well and they offered a different perspective much like Lau and several of these isles that would be like a shield given the groups that were on them.

"More yes but not in a bad way.. I have seen mandalorian villages before.. most of them are fortresses and compounds that are made in the jungles and where they can see the enemies coming for miles... so this is not a surprise.. but I will admit the Atrisian design tothe village is nice and the central area for protecting yourself and having the best cover with high ground from ground forces it superb." Junko said it while she was going and checking out some of the homes that were there they had established them in the traditional way as well.. rotating and providing more of an open floor plan with clear lines of sight from the inside of the village through but obscured if you were coming through to attack.

Junko could see more of how they had set up defenses from here... auto turrets on the roof that were designed to create a massive kill area around the central platform which provided the high ground and coverage from the air using shielding projectors... She imagined they had the entire island covered and there was more turrets designed to cover and deter movement up the alleyways by making it next to impossible as it narrowed things down. She knew they were using some of the barricades they had creating using lightsaber technologies. It would also make coming down the pathways much harder as the second part was the shield gates which would melt slugs and deflect blasters with a solid wall.

Lau though was looking at and motioning to the mandalorians who were moving and preforming aerial moves... their jetpacks quiet as they used the latest for repulsor tech to move around and the new power reactors instead of fuel... which gave them much better flight times... there was also the repulsor and anti-grav tech which made the pilots practically weightless so carrying the heavier weapon was much easier. They were also bringing in some of the airships that were being selected for military use... mounting cannons on them and it would allow them to get lower to the ground or the surface of the water as the boats and pirates made for a tricky situation.

She could see some other things they had been doing here... mostly while fighters were not allowed they had several Atrisian vehicles from the new military... the heavy walker and trooper transport that could transform... there was the speeders for making recon walkers as well. Battledroids that were set up to aid and augment a defensive area before finally she could see several Suo cannons that were designed in specific kill towers that would rise up from the jungle and give them a full coverage. She might have to invest in towers like that as a defensive structure to be added in their facilities as it did make a target but with their new reactors would let them operate.

They had drones flying around that had been set up to monitorand coordinate around the island... sections of it covering and giving their basilisks a chance to really smash through the more dangerous situations. They used one of the gentoku onthe island to move around but it also gave them a distinct advantage with its heavy armor and weapons as wellas the teaks that would alloww it to circle the village and function as a mobile attack platform cutting through enemy areas. If they could work on a few other pars of it she imagined they would also be able to deploy more barricades into tunnels and trenches whihc made this one of the better fortress islands.

She had to give it to Lau though as her Boughtine escort was there and a few of the handmaidens. The mandalorians who were here were impressive with their armors... more intricate designs compared to some but she had and could see the Atrisian design elements that were present within them. There was even more as the yovshin influece and some from other offworlders who were recruited... clan members but also metsuka... it was a strange thing them being in proximity... the metsuka could influence the mandalorians and vice versa but then there was the benefit that they would be part ofthe clan and family which made them loyal to Atrisian initiatives.

The operatives from the Metsuka who were here though also provided some aid as they were dangerous... offworlders bound in profession to Atrisia and they were loyal.. they would not have been chosen if they were not which helped in many cases. She saw one of them there a wookiee with black fur that was covered with beads and a bandoleer of grenades. Some of the newer model lotus mines and hell grenades whihc would let them do a whole lot of damage depending. The Atrisian rifle that was on his back as well as the blades all painted a picture of a fierce warrior who would smash through most problems but there was also two more wookiees and a twi'lek.

She could see some other atrisians there and each of them was in thick and heavy armor... all working on what was an Armory and mixture of equipment that was being loaded into buildings.... Allowing each of the homes here to have a small portion would mean that one could be captured but it wouldn't compromise the whole and that was a smarter approach. That they were using the modular storage compartments that had been designed using the pocket dimension tech developed by Atrisia helps also cause she was seeing crates upon crates of weapons setup for them and being stored away that would stay safe since each had their own dedicated and protected power source.

Junko was seeing Lau as well and went towardsthe main hall that was set up... larger and more fortified for them all to check out... there was an improved design since it blended into the jungle around them like the rest ofthe village and from the sky you wouldn't know what you were looking for if you didn't know already. She could see many bypassing it until it was too late... same as on the rest of the island whichh she knew there was a number of smaller villages around that would use the environmental areas of the island to its advantage. here was colder snow capped areas where the mountains got higher even here in the jungles.

She wasn't certain about that but going into the massive hall where more of the clan were sitting and drinking it got the attention. Lau walked in and looked at them clearly the biggest in the room demanding their attention as the voice stopped and a silence came over them. There was stews and breads and cuts of meat being served. The pungent scent ofwine as well as a sharp scent of stronger alcohol before the jedi princess bowed to the mandalorians in the hall. "The Princess has come to se us... lets have no undue fussing and welcome her as the people here welcomed us yeah." That got cheers and the others were more then happy to drink to her health.

Junko joined them and Lau at a table where the food was being served in a massive feast... songs were being sung and more were coming into the hall to join them as it seemed the entire village was there from the island. her handmaidens found a place and she was given a cup carved from the horn of a reek but hollowed out. The sweet scent of sugar... no honey was there within t and she knew midvinters food and drink because of Kiriko was similar... a honeyed alcohol that was rude in some cases to not take before she was drinking it and watching some of the others move around with more drinks and plates of food. Serving men and women.

The sounds of the party were getting louder though as all of them got to see Lau who sat at one of the tables... slightly elevated but it wasn't larger or more ornate then the others. Still there were celebrating and the serving men and women were still mandalorians... teenagers who hadn't gone into a real battle maybe but they were working on it and were training she could tell. The sounds of drinking and some of the food was being passed around. Thick slabs of beefs, veggies, fruits and rice. The servers once they had given the food being able to sit in the laps of the mandalorians while regaled with tales of their battles fought across the planet or on jobs.

Junko was joined by two of them and she was looking at one as she sat there offering her honeyed alcohol and then she took it. "So tell us princess about your times with the jedi." That seemed to get some interest as she sat there and took a sip. "Hmm a good story about it... there was a time when we fought on Ruusan. A jedi had been captured or so we thought in truth she was with her boyfriend and they had for the moment had a spat... so she wanted a pick up. The jedi mounted a rescue operation, responded and fought against them through a fortress. I went in to help and fought one of the sith but it didn't last long.. we were not able to convince her to return as she just ran off for another date."

That seemed to get a mixture of boos and laughs... mostly at the situation not at the story itself... the teller was loved and some of them sympathized with her situation in that as having someone who literally goes 'Lol nope dating' was impossible... thankfully these were mandalorians so... relationships were a little simpler One of the serving girls was smaller then the others but no less athletic in terms of being a mandalorians and was on Junko's lap with some of the wine. She could taste the spice on her breath but Junko had earned a drink and wrapped her arms around her slender waist as the boughtine who was with them who had one of the serving girls and boy on her lap. The warpaint getting looks as well as the tattoos.

There were more stories being shared and passed around from the people.. the atrisians tales of honor and skill had appealed and now there was a sense of Mandalorian heritage intermixed with it that pushed all sides into a very nice and impressive cohesion wereJunko could see others. The intermixing of bloodlines produced strong and loyal citizens of the commonwealth who joined in and improved upon the military academies or the training that the soldiers went through. There was educational benefits and weapon upgrades that could be developed as the mandalorians had a long history of warfare which benefited the Atrisian military and shaped some of their designs.

The party continued to go into the night and was offering more to all of them.. they soldiers mandalorians were prepared for anything but some were startingto doze off... the longhouse offered bunks and bedding for them aside from the homes here which were for different families within the clan. Smaller villages on the island served to house many more in their own endeavors and they were ones to go back intoxicated so they slept here. Junko was in one of the bunks as she relaxed and laid there with a horn of mead that was sticky sweet still but she saw some of the mandalorians dancing down around a brazier with the fire glass instead of flames.

She woke up with a buzzing in her head and sharp pain behind her eye while she was trying to think about where she was. Th sounds of snoring and warmth around her before she was looking over at everything they were doing. She didn't move beyond looking around and the bunk she was in had a good view while a few others were on the tables and around the fire. One or two were still partying with someof the food but it wasserving droids functioning around them for now before she looked at one of the mandalorians keeping her warm with some vague memories of what had happened. This was becoming a habit and she would have to figure out a few things... eventually.

"Hmmm I think I just had an epiphany?" She said it to herself and there was a muffled voice. "What princess?" Junko looked at her and spoke. "Nothing." She waited another two hours before getting out of the bunk with a stretch and walked over towards the water that had been brought in to help wake up the others. The coldness of it was sharp but she could see Lau was also there stretching and the Boughtine Ragnar was with her standing in her robes for a moment. Junko spoke. "Wonderful party, I must get the name of that drink... it was well worth the memory gaps Alor Lau." She had a grin on her face before she was walking around and grabbed her slippers for her feet.

Junko was looking at a couple of the things here though and seeing more of the village... or at least seeing parts of it with everyone asleep she could see what the results of a party or would this have been just a typical night for all of them. A group like this that was close knit enough might celebrate life daily... nightly just because of what can happen at any time and it was that zest for life that she was liking but she couldn't give everything for something like this. She just wasn't that brave. The sound of shuffling feet behind her though brought her attention around and the serving girl came up wrapping an arm around her. "Hmm morning... are you going to stay around for awhile?"

Junko had a look on her face as she thought about it... she had come here to see the island so touring it when they were looking around. "I have work still and came to tour the island before moving on to some of the others but likely come back around. Lau has the schedule and whatever plans she wants to present or show off. I know the military base that is here is being worked on still and some of the hangers that they have set up." She got a look but the mandalorian serving girl was looking at her with a grin. "Well if you are touring the island you should have a guide.. Alor Lau is good, smart and great but she doesn't know everything.

Hmmm a guide wasn't always a bad thing and Lau didn't have all of the time to literally be there and answer all of her questions since she had duties over the days and time. A chance for them to see more of the island. Junko was checking over at some of the things here before she was preparing. "That could be helpful... there is always the risk that Lau will be called away to handle something or I know that equipment is given to our island. We have the new speeders and transports... testing those out as they are meant to be designed and setup hereto defend. The roadways that we are looking to get across Atrisia for moving around though might benefit here or test out the seeker drones.

She didn't know if Lau would want them to give the roadways... well they were working on a newer upgraded model of them that could be varied in sizes. Either the ones for ship hallways or they can be made for travel on the planets. It would be enclosed with shielding to protect it and a self contained environment to better protect on many of the planets that they were going to use it on. They had that with airships to improve travel times instead of massive ships that can release radiation on the planets themselves. The continued look to refine their travel time and exploration would benefit here for them. She got a look though.

"We are simple people... mostly. You know full well it is less about the outside appearances then it is the inner ones and if we can conceal a military facility here then it will lure more enemies in. We can have pill boxes pop up with combat droids, our basilisks and warriors from the facility under the island." Junko gotthat... they wanted to present much like the rest of Atrisia a look of simple life but really just like the restthey were more then glad to have the advanced equipment... the islands here were much the same and they would have to work on them to really beef up the funding where they could. If the mandalorians were willing to make weapons that could be sold to the public and offworld then it was a large source of income to the planet.

While she had been thinking about it she had managed to wake up and get ready for the day. Where they were setting things up she was rejoined by her Handmaidens and she was joined by the Boughtine who was acting like a bodyguard. The thickly muscled force user was still holding in her arms the servers from last night and all of them were ready as Lau joined them. "Ready to head out." She asked itwhile the servers headed back into the main hall and Junko bowed her head in readiness... she was prepared for many things but a massive display of affection was not one of them. Parties were important and the early morning light was coming up around them.

"This way then." Lau was leading them through the village and towards thepaths leading into the interior ofthe island.. itwas longer then she had expected and the island larger with a couple of villages around it that would be able to serve as homes to the clan. Junko along the way started seeing more as she went though and several mandalorians were working on other things... like droids and lifts... the war droids designed to work here and function as a superior force. They had developed them to have a lot of power and the ability to move around... there was biots aroundhere that also served to command and lead the droids in the event the mandalorians were not able to.
