OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Age: 10+ years since creation
  • Model: Medical Neutralizer Model 1
  • Appearance: Seraphine was designed with the appearance of a beautiful young Atrisian woman. She has long, straight black hair styled using elaborate pins and jeweled combs. She tends to wear kimonos and cheongsams in pastel colors with flowery and/or nature designs. She paints her nails; the color of the nail polish depends on her mood or whim.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Seraphine Io
  • Loyalties: House Io
  • Notable Equipment:
  • Skills: Seraphine is programmed with basic medical knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the most common species in the galaxy. She can perform first aid and treat a variety of injuries, as well as some forms of field surgery. The bulk of her software is geared toward the treatment of her fellow Neutralizers, as it is her job to guide and assist them during the early stages of their lives. She is considered the foremost expert in the burgeoning niche field of Neutralizer psychology.
  • Languages: Basic, Huttese, binary droidspeak, numerous other languages
  • Personality: Seraphine is serene and compassionate, exuding a calming presence upon those she tends to. When in the presence of friends she displays a bubbly and fun-loving side, bordering on hedonistic. She shows deference to the Matriarch and respect for the Cult to the point where you would expect her to kneel and kiss the Demon's feet even if she slaughtered all of her loved ones in front of her. Some of her peers may consider her to be an airhead and a bootlicker, but this could not be further from the truth. In fact, Seraphine is secretly a leader of the Doves, an underground resistance movement within House Io dedicated to fighting the growing influence of the Cult in government and society. Her clandestine efforts include the vandalism and desecration of Cult shrines, anonymously penning and distributing anti-Cult writings, and recruiting more Doves from among the general population.
COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Weapon of Choice: Swords
  • Combat Function: Medical Neutralizers are unique in that unlike their siblings, they are programmed to avoid violence, opting to resolve conflict via non-lethal measures. Seraphine is no different, but when push comes to shove she will fight. Her preference is for swords, but the Neutralizer will use any object she can get her hands on, be it sharp or blunt. Hell, she'll even use her bare hands. Her superhuman strength and speed are a great advantage, allowing her to pummel her opponents before they have a chance to react.
Strengths:
  • The Doctor Is In: Seraphine has all the capabilities of a Medical Neutralizer Model 1.
  • The Psychologist: Seraphine's knowledge of Neutralizer psychology allows her to better persuade and influence other members of her kind. This can apply to non-Neutralizers as well, but she is not quite as skilled at manipulating organics.
Weaknesses:
  • An Apple a Day: Seraphine has all the weaknesses of a Medical Neutralizer Model 1.
  • Conflict of Interests: Despite being a member of House Io, her role as a Dove places her in a tenuous position. She must keep that part of her life hidden. If her double life is ever revealed, it could cost her everything.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Seraphine was among the first Medical Neutralizers to be manufactured by the newly formed House Io. After proving her mettle as a field medic in battle, she rose through the ranks and eventually got a job assisting newborn Neutralizers. She loves this job and has refused all other offers to work elsewhere, seeing it as her calling.

Like most Ionites, she believed in the ethos of the House and devoted herself to the cause of protecting the innocent. She hated both Jedi and Sith, Imperials and the Alliance, Bryn'adul and Mawites, for what she saw as their callous disregard for the lives and livelihood of ordinary people. That is, until the Cult began to take over. The Witches were always there from the very beginning, but theirs was a background presence. Over time they became more and more involved in the governance and society of House Io, converting its citizens to their faith. Then came the forced "absorption" of Rebecca Hahn, a House Io citizen who was punished after nearly sacrificing her life for the cause. Rebecca's transformation into The Deluge was the turning point for many who had grown doubtful of the House's ideals and the sanity of its leaders.

For Seraphine, it was a wakeup call. Most of those who objected to Rebecca's treatment at the hands of the Cult simply left the faction, but Seraphine could not abandon her House, her home. Instead she would strive to make things better and fight against the Cult which was poisoning it from within.
