Sakura Station

"It is able to move we are making the engine able to transport it with a useful hyperdrive so it can go where needed after they are constructed." She smiled looking at Kay and the oters. Rianna and Taiden were great to have in this as well. "We are making the sections for growing plants like nysillin to provide healing herbs and make bacta as we need it. Some of other components we are still working on to really give it some kick like the cradles to be installed on the planets. It will allow if need be the station to descend and be kept on planets should there be a problem of it they require its factories and food creation equipment after a larger diaster."

Kay nodded. It was good that the station could move. She looked to Taiden and also liked the idea that it could house refugees as well. "It could be a good place to house people if there is a disaster and their homes are being rebuilt. And if any of the agriculture is destroyed, well there can be more regrown on stations like this." Whole planets could be brought back to life again. It was a beautiful thing. But then, there were some that could turn a good thing into something destructive.

Rianna nodded in agreement yes it could be used for refugees above a host world. She listened to the conversation, still just taking in details and trying to figure out what she was really here.

"Matsu, what is it that you need done. Perhaps there are tasks to help with." She looked from Taiden to Matsu, and then to Kay.

Looking at Rianna as she gave a look to her and smile. "Well I have a massive hospital and medical section of this station we will be working with that can process a couple hundred thousand people." She pointed to the section below the residential area. "Three kilometers high and ten kilometers wide it will be one of the largest medical facilities that can be deployed across the galaxy. I want a skilled medical and healer to make sure everything is up to snuff." She offered a small smile while looking at Kay and the former senator had the right idea. THey could deploy this over worlds where needed. "THat is a purpose it can work with. These stations are made for several purposes as well as to have limits on par with only what people can think to use them for."

Not taking much from words, Taiden picking up on the subtle flow of body language, [member="Rianna Ar'klim-Organa"] was keen to be actively be hands on, "Master Ar'klim-Organa what are your specialties?" Taiden was the opposite to her persona but very keen to assist the flow of the work, if he could. Ever the personal assistant!

As this was still a work in progress, there were certainly many tasks they could do together! "Here are our most pressing issues." He passed the Master over a small stack of the most critical reports that engineers, droids or other teams of personnel were working on. There were many major areas of the station they were constructing as the Master's observed, but these minor reports might be of note for her among the datapads Taiden gave her, which numbered about 20 in the end.

Work Reports
  • Unexplained issues with gravity stability on deck 6, liquid refreshments and water reported to be stuck on ceiling, no known cause at this time.
  • Minor atmospheric venting from the shields in two docking platforms, construction crews hadn't braced the emitters for the volume of traffic, requires zero-g crews out on hull.
  • Feedback loop causing blackouts in the medical areas, crossed wires the likely cause, but substandard materials not ruled out, suggested checking other circuits and contacting supplier.
  • 16 Droids reported refusing to move to work duty, quarantined in the cargo bay until further notice, no known cause at this time.
  • Case of an unidentified flu had 41 Engineers in a temporary sick bay, seemingly contained, rodian freighter considered the source.

He was happily at Rianna's disposal if required, but Taiden was more a supporter, and an organizer than the man who made the choices. Bowing to her formally as she made selection, if she considered anything worthwhile to attend to personally.

Kay nodded, thinking of what Matsu had described. The medical wing alone was massive. She was glad to not be in charge of it. Healing in battle was one thing, but being charge of hundreds of thousands was another. Besides, she didn't want her secrets out just yet. It was always good to have an ace up the sleeve when in the presence of one's enemies. Not to say that anyone here was an enemy, but it was just safer this way.

She furrowed her brows a bit as she pondered something. "Matsu, are there security protocols and firewalls to help prevent any hostile takeovers via the holonet?"

[member="Matsu Ike"] [member="Lady Kay"] [member="Taiden Keth"]

Rianna looked up at Taiden, "Specialities, unique diseases, research, and lately building hospitals." Rianna walked over to look at the list that he offered. She hated standing still, "The flu sounds like something to investigate and it will give me time to look into supplies and droids." She took note of where the group was being held the temporary sick bay.

Well they either brought it with them or caught it from someone else. Either way treatment, at least to give them ease was warranted. Flu was not curable if it was a flu it had to run its course, the problem founding source, and making sure it is the flu.

Rianna looked at Edee and motioned for her to come, "I'm headed to the sick bay, anyone want to come along?"

She looked at the little group.

Matsu was looking at some of the reports when she heard Kay with a nod of her head. "Yes there is security for what we can set up." She saw the reports from the medical bay while bringing up a few of them where they could start setting up the droids to repoar and work on things. "We have security to make each station its own place, a closed system and not linked to each one for easy hacking. The droids on each station and the systems will also be protected with some of the best we can get from Corellian digitalfor electronics."

Taiden Keth bowed to Rianna hands closed together, not saying anything, then realised she might not know by the way he’d done it, that he had agreed. “Master Ar’klim Organa, it would be my honor to assist your work.”

Dealing with the less important reports not shown, such as needing to order some extra paint, someone wanting time to visit a sick relative, the little details before he left. Our padawan passed them over to the young [member="Taresa Kae"], who was never far from our young Echani or often Matsu’s reach when called, coming into her own recently. The often proud but dutiful Echani noble would be there to assist anything they needed doing, or keep the mundane aspects of construction from bothering the Master's focus on the important parts.

Rumors were Keth and Kae had a relationship, but by the standoffish looks they gave each other in parting, you’d never have known to guess, more to it certainly!

With polite bow again to [member="Lady Kay"] and to his Eldar [member="Matsu Ike"] who Taiden hoped to share a certain ceremonial gift with later. Matsu may find note of that in her schedule when she got to it! Taiden turned to depart with Rianna, hands pressed together in respect, and then parted.

Taresa Note:
NPC’d as usual. I trust you Matsu with her though, so use her as you guys like or leave her background.

Kay nodded, glad that Matsu seemed to have thought of everything. The Galaxy could be cruel, and had a way at times of turning something really good into something dark and evil. She had worked for a company like that. It had started with the greatest and noble of intentions, only to turn into a war machine for the highest bidder. Pretty sad, really.

She looked to Rianna and then to the others. It'd be silly to split everyone up. "I'll come along.."

"Taiden Keth your company is most welcome, and Lady Kay you too." She took a few more steps with Edee at her heels. She looked back, "Matsu are you coming too?"

She didn't know if her friend had other plans.

"Taiden will you lead the way? You seem to be most familiar with things. Can you tell me if you have any other information on the crew?" She looked back at Kay, "do you have a specialty?"

Matsu looked at the three of them and stood there with the one Echani girl [member="Taresa Kae"] which provided some things. While Rianna and them went to go and handle that she could go and ensure the rest of the things they were working on were also being handled. She knew there were some special things as Katagiri was her sister and going to show off this station to a few who had been really wanting to work on their beefing up or operations that involved moving massive amounts of people. Her silver haired sister would hopefully be able to find the massive meeting places in the residential modules to be to her liking. "We will rejoin you in a bit, I'll gladly work with her and handle some of the other areas before going down and checking medical." Matsu bowed her head to Kay, Taiden and Rianna as they were heading.

The new Director of Technology within the Republic, a position she had been very happy to apply for and take with a look over some of the larger things here and show it off. From their new construction yards and the ability for these stations to maintain themselves for years upon years. The only real trick was going to be making sure it was a self contained system of communications within each station. THey would have more work going towards residential amenities as well or clothing for the massive crew that would be on it that wasn't droids. It gave the politician something to look forward to while heading through her ship towards the massive residential cityscape full of the modules for a meeting with the others. her half sister was here, showing others around as well and this was her project but such a marvel itself needed to be shown to more people. More companies helping with it would allow the funding to stay at it and push it into a larger production.

Charzon had a shipment of Tearstunner bombs, as well as Deathballs, along with a Guernica, loaded onboard her personal Pullman-class light freighter that should probably be replaced by a Neimoidian Yacht. Or should she say a Neimoidian-class yacht but every prospective client, Neimoidian or not, calls that class the Neimoidian Yacht. As it made its approach to the station under construction...

"Perhaps you would like some heavy proton bombs? That would be useful if a devastated planet needed large-scale excavation works for proper reconstruction, or for cracking open asteroids. Alternatively, you might be interested in crowd control bombs, based on proton bomb casings: maintaining order on such a massive station is not going to be easy, and crowd control is going to be a problem if riots were to happen onboard. You can think of the crowd control bombs as just reservoirs of tear gas to be used in an emergency, speaking of which Neimoidian Yachts can be used to ferry troublemakers to the nearest prison world"

Taiden was not often asked to lead! Hesitation along the young padawan’s face, not visibly, only in the force, visibly there was but the smallest of tightening along his cheekbone.

“Of course. If you will accompany me Masters, I will assist you any way I can.”
Parting look not given to Taresa, intentionally avoided. He did bow to Matsu, overly long if anyone noticed. Another might notice how much attention he'd pay the Jedi Master in passing, if they were watching.

Assuming whoever came followed the gentle jedi scholar they would boarding the lifts again, lifts that would take them back to the medical destinations. Their Echani escort and one of his staff both dressed in pristine white, entered some numbers into the lift controls to begin. Taking off at swift but fluid motion, they were propelled upward a short way.

And as their doors opened, they were facing the dilemma of wiring and the flu….

Engineers had conduits open, gel packs, circuits the works laying out across the floor. Apparently those sick were quarantined into three small groups behind forcefields, of about 13 each. Medical staff in this half-finished medical bay were hampered, not least of which because the lights were down and equipment’s power kept fluctuating. All wearing breathing masks which were offered to both Masters should they wish them.

Flu:
I’ll play along with however you want to play it.

[member="Matsu Ike"]
Taresa would seem unduly more focused even than usual… one might say she was avoiding eye contact almost, but nothing seemed outwardly the matter, the tension had eased at least without Taiden’s presence in the room. Yet something wasn't right.

Listening to the different things while she moved through the station towards one fo the larger windows and spoke. "Crowd control can be tricky, we don't want our own people to be in danger nor do we want it to look excessive. A bomb going off can be a dangerous thing no matter what." She clasped her hands around her back at the small though setting with a small force push one of the indicators for where she could dock with the station. it was massive and designed to hold many ships as needed so they could discuss business dealing as well as possibly ways to gett get it some supplies. At least until the food production finally started paying off with all of the modules and systems for self sustaining.

"For the Republic at large, however, the Republican armed forces may wish to outfit some tanks with the Weasel rotating flail: the Alliance used it and had some operational success on the battlefield with it. Just don't outfit walkers with it though: it has to be a non-walker. Treads, wheeled, repulsorlift are just fine however. If the Army wants new-build tanks rather than refit existing tanks, perhaps the Zamboni minesweeping main battle tank would be a better decision than just buying the rotating flails"

She could probably thank Gen. Ugohr Poof of the Army of Malastare for actually testing the Weasel in operational settings, mounted on said new-build tanks... the battle of Malastare, mostly fought in the vicinity of the Malastare Narrows bridge, was the first combat deployment of the Zamboni minesweeping main battle tank. While the bridge ultimately collapsed, due to the number of mines being set off by the Weasel, the Alliance was satisfied with the operational performance. And Operation Blackout (i.e. the battle on Coruscant) was to be the real test of the entire light-sided military might on the ground.

"Or perhaps some automated kitchen units!"

Kay didn't quite know how to answer [member="Rianna Ar'klim-Organa"] on what sorts of specialities that she had. It wasn't as though she was planning to reveal her secrets to everyone.

Her saving grace however was the state of the medical labs. Kay took the offered mask and put it on before asking the question that was on everyone's minds. "What happened?"

Matsu was walking and looking at all of the things there with them. She offered a small look to the woman while they were walking through the facility with a small show of comfort. "Is everything alright?" Saying it as she had felt the tension between her and Taiden. THe jedi master leading the way for both of them up to the rooms to display the entire station while she tapped the screen bringing up the hardlight information with the lifesigns detectors showing the others while they were walking around. "We can keep track of them here as well as the team working with and meetin some of the others that were coming to help them." Matsu provided a small tapping of her hands on the controls of the stations control panel letting them see everything.

Taiden stood by Matsu, taking pains to keep his stance firm and on task, despite that lingering feeling he had down the back of his neck. Brushing it off, the Echani read out the medical condition of those contained behind their various shielded medical cells, the symptoms.

“Muscle Aches, Fatigue, Dizziness. No mention of how it spread from the freighter to the engineers Masters.” No coughing, no obvious fever, or bodily contact seemed to spread it. What had then?

Around them the work on the wiring and gel packs continued, exposed in many places as they worked to tidy things up. They were having a really hard time fixing some of these gel packs in place, to insulate heat and provide a buffer for safeties sake in this a sensitive place for medical equipment. Everything was insulated. Engineers were cursing not far from their location, until they realized Jedi Masters were present, and excused themselves.

Taresa:

Matsu would be faced by the usual motionless hard to read expression Echani often gave from [member="Taresa Kae"], you could feel raw emotion from her, possibly jealousy, possibly something else. For a lot of years now since she’d joined the silver Jedi she’d been with Taiden and Matsu, their honorguard offering assistance, working with them dutifully. History of Keth and Kae went back a lot further, thousand years by this point, rifts, feuds and two lovers and two houses again at the precipice of finding peace. “Everything is fine Master.” She said eventually, looking overly long and burying herself in her work, walking toward their nearest wall to lean herself. Resting on a wall, was not like her at all.
