Sakura Station

The construction efforts on New Holstice had gone well there was no real denying the efforts that had gone into the station while the jedi master looked over some of the things. It brought her attention to the big station now in orbit. They had constructed it, they had given it the initial systems and sealed it while in space it was being docked and filled with supplies. The droids and people working to make it a habitat now for the long run. Their self sustaining with the colonization stations spread across orbit of the planet that could link up with them. She had invited some other people she knew loved to help and work on the different things clasping her hands behind her back while she stood in the factory and foundry levels of the massive station.

Kay's ship, The Free Lady, soon docked aboard the newly built station. She was invited by her good friend [member="Matsu Ike"] . How the two of them met, she couldn't recall. Regardless they had shared many ventures in between. As always she was introduced to new technologies that never ceased to amaze her. Some even created food from nothing.

It wasn't long after docking that Kay left her ship and pilot, Terrac behind. The well seasoned old man knew the procedure very well. He kicked back, relaxed and drank his whiskey. He enjoyed these moments. Less chance of trouble, less chance of his boss bringing back strays.

Kay gripped the strap of her satchel as it hung over her shoulder. That satchel was always with her, unless stolen. No sign of Matsu yet. But she figured that her friend would be around shortly.

Disembarking along one of the ten frigate docking pylons, a gaggle of padawans and engineers had soon collected, moving together. Taiden was just one of the many aboard the great construction, from the outside the framework was still being put up on a few sections of the outer hull, maybe more, with hollowed sections to the naked eye. As the silver jedi with him dispersed towards different areas to oversee construction, the Echani had a separate mission.

Wearing his newly gifted Sasori Explorer’s Bodysuit, the padawan was cloaked entirely in both silver and white, matching the jagged sword down his back, and sleek silver saber hilt on his hip. His lengthening hair was tied back today into a ponytail out of sight, watching with studious silver eyes at the world as he walked. Taiden approached [member="Lady Kay"]’s ship, where he was told where she had headed. Finding someone whom he thought fitted her description, more how she moved than looked as he read from motion.

“Lady Kay?” He said slightly hesitant to be sure, never having seen her move before.

Taiden’s head lowered as always for a short but noticeable time, waiting until she answered.

“Master Matsu has sent me to bring you to her. If you will follow me,” and so hopefully she did, along the passageways and inside the many tiers of the station they hoped to build, he could see work on the medical tier beginning above them, but that seemed far from complete, a small droid stumbling through a hole that wasn’t yet finished. Taiden caught it gently, and placed the small robotic roller on the ground to continue on its way past them, as if such occurrences were the norm at the moment.

“Master Matsu, Lady Kay has arrived,” with an equally respectful but very different bow to Elder Matsu, eyes closed and lowered out of well-developed long standing trust, he waited to the side patiently for the friends to reunite.

Well it wasn't [member="Matsu Ike"] that greeted her, but another. She bowed her head in response, raising an eyebrow at the formalities of it all. Kay wasn't used to it on her visits with Matsu. The two were good enough friends to be on a first name basis.

Yet upon request she followed [member="Taiden Keth"] quietly, looking about at the construction. Earlier as her ship had approached, she was amazed at the enormous size of the station being constructed. Hopefully she wouldn't get lost if she were to go on her own.

Kay smiled a little as Taiden seemed to care enough for a droid to catch it in a fall. No doubt she'd of done the same. As they approached Matsu, she smiled and bowed her head. "Good to see you. What wonders are you constructing this time?"

She looked at the to of them when they had arrived and there was room for another guest or two to help them as she spoke. "Welcome to the first of hopefully several dozen Sakura Station. A marvel of well our endeavors as it uses the finest in self sustainable technology and renewable components." Oh yes they had a great many things and with all of the larger sections of the stations she could see the planet of New Holstice below from the large view port. "I know it isn't much right now though but the droids are still installing all of the systems and constructing the massive mega blocks in the residential area. We'll be able to house several hundred thousand or more when this is done and produce enough food for all of them as well as provide quality employment and medical care."

The Dancing Thranta was given permission to dock, Rianna well remembered this part of the galaxy she and Ordo had an adventure on the Wheel it did not seem that long ago. Perhaps it was, it was certainly before everything else that happened.

Edee looked up at her nudging Rianna's hand with her head, Rianna had stopped walking as she came through the air lock. She looked down into the amber eyes of Edee Rianna sensed the manka was concerned.

"Let's find [member="Matsu Ike"] and see what she has up her sleeve this time" Rianna nodded to those she stood still a moment using the force to find Matsu, "Oh she is below us, I think, she feels that way...let's see if we are right"

Rianna headed to the nearest lift that could take her down. She wasn't alone and Rianna did not recognize the two with her.

Taiden was, at these gatherings for Master Matsu’s great works, acting as the link in the chain. Either bombarding her with curious questions to help shape the project, or more silently acting as a go between for everything that was going on. As soon as [member="Lady Kay"] and [member="Matsu Ike"] reunited, he’d find himself with a signal in his ear piece, a subtle Echani hand gesture relayed by sound, that another Jedi Master [member="Rianna Ar'klim-Organa"] had arrived. Pressing the lift door button for her and waiting off to the side as she disembarked.

The lifts were functioning more slowly than they should be, which was a source of great frustration to Taiden given that the lifts represented the stations internal flow, current or energy almost, a living representation of its internal operation, something Matsu had opened up his eyes to see more and more around him, and his now dead friend Fyor Nayus had known naturally.

Subtle hum of door opened, and he went with an informal, “welcome Master” To Rianna, as always with a steady eyes-open bow. He would fill in the gaps where needed, and observe silently for them to come about, like the holes in the ceilings the droids were working on or the patchwork floor showing the gaps.

Kay took in the sights for the moment. With such a large station, history has shown they were never safe and quite often blown up. But this didn't appear to be a battle station, so perhaps that would give it a chance.

[member="Taiden Keth"] soon left, leaving her alone with [member="Matsu Ike"] for a moment or two. "What are the defences like on this station? And will there be schooling as well?"

[member="Rianna Ar'klim-Organa"]

[member="Taiden Keth"]
The lift was slow and creaked Rianna for a moment wondered if it would make it to her destination, Edee was nervous her ears turned as large amber eyes watched the doors waiting for the moment to bounce out of the small box. Rianna put an assuring hand on her companion's head, "it' ok Edee, almost there" Before the last sound left her lips the doors opened her dark eyes met the silver of a young man.

"thank you" She responded without hesitation she studied this man before her his aura his form she assumed he was echani, she had met very few in her time however she had completed a bunch of reading about them. It was believed that echani were the result of an Arkanian experiment on the human genome accounting for the resemblance. Then there was the Sun Guard as skilled as the Mandalorians, warrior species.

"You should call me Rianna and this is Edee" Rianna scratched behind the ears of the nearly adult manka cat, "and you are?" She smiled.

Matsu was lloking at Kay for a moment as Taiden spoke and she bowed her head. "The defenses are going to be partially the hull of the station. it is designed to be far stronger and denser then the standard durasteel. So much so that the engines use a stronger reactor to move it but also to give it that very nice look." She moved seeing that Rianna was coming and the station was made massive with nearly ninety five percent of it operational and functioning just not populated. "As for schooling we will have several on each level of the residential level. Several training hospitals to teach medics and doctors as well as trade schooling for the manufacturing and drydock levels. All and all this will be able to house and teach all on it among all of the other things. The station are built for possible colonization efforts. It will need a way to teach itself and with the work we have done thanks to quiet backing up for each station the archives as well as galactic databases." She saw her friend now, Rianna was here and the best doctor in the galaxy and skilled jedi healer who found and protected a neutral world full of diplomats and healers. She might not have the sie of Sakura with the mandalmedical but she had a worlds worth of people and far more insight then the jedi master could get. "Rianna you are here." She saw the manka cat and offered a smile not bringing her kawaii cat or ropo.

Informalities were something the usual standoffish padawan was working on, but perhaps they failed to come off as well here as he addressed both the cat and the Master, “Edee and Rianna,” he more formally bowed to hold his gesture, eyes open, “I am Taiden, son of Keth and Wodenstam, padawan to the silver Jedi order and sanctum coalition. It is my honor to work with you all.”

Rising fully, his words were said with the gentile approach he took to life, taking leave to listen to Matsu describe the station to lady Key, as those droids around them quietly worked to fix the gaps in the structure. More information was relayed via his earpiece, and passed to him, "progress report on the medical wings,” he laid the holotablet down in front of the Masters, apparently in the medical hub there was some issue with internal wiring causing its light to keep shorting out, or someone had just stood on something they shouldn’t have, either way less than ideal.

Returning back to the sidelines to assist with dealing with more reports, Taiden paid special attention to the cat, having a fondness for animals and attachment to nature reminiscent of his homeworld. He did not touch the animal, reading its body language and posture with an almost child-like curiosity and reverence that he might show a Jedi Master, there was complete total and utter respect for the animal and its presence here.

Kay nodded as she listened to even more information about the place. [member="Matsu Ike"] was indeed a marvel when it came to these sorts of things. Her imagination knew no bounds. A strong hull was one thing, but being armed was even better. Having security forces was better. The past has only shown that to be true.

She looked to [member="Taiden Keth"] as he returned with [member="Rianna Ar'klim-Organa"] and a feline-like creature. Seeing it made her think of her green Gwaii Cat friend. But he was being taken care of by Crix's lover Toby. The timid young man had a way with animals, so she had left her companion in his charge. Kay bowed her head to them and then looked around. "I just couldn't imagine spending my entire life on a station like this. But there are plenty of others that would jump at the chance."

[member="Matsu Ike"] [member="Taiden Keth"] [member="Lady Kay"]

Rianna went very few places without Edee by her side, the only time the Alderaan Manka Cat as not by her side were days when the children needed her more. Rianna looked at Taiden "A pleasure to meet you Taiden, I look forward to working with you and getting to know you" Rianna had that kind of personality she liked to know people, she looked over at Matsu.

"Matsu, yes I finally made it here. This part of space is very familiar to me." She saw Matsu's gaze go to Edee, "She insisted on coming, and I've not the heart to tell her not to." Rianna smiled, "Matsu you are always involving me in some of the most elaborate things, this being the latest."

She looked over to the other woman standing there, poor Taiden must feel quite outnumbered by them all. "I am Rianna and who are you?" Rianna smiled and waited to see if the dark haired woman would introduce herself.

Kay looked over to [member="Rianna Ar'klim-Organa"] as she spoke to her, drawing her attention away from the room that they were in. "I'm Kay. Lovely to meet you." She bowed her head again before looking to [member="Matsu Ike"] . "Are you planning on giving us a tour?" She wasn't sure what her friend had up her sleeve for this trip.

"And you Master Rianna, it will be an honor." Taiden said graciously to Rianna, you had to physically tell Taiden to drop formalities and even then it only sometimes worked. While there were a lot of extremely strong Masters around him, he was content to play his small role providing them with whatever services he could as he went, it barely ever occurred to the scholar in him to separate gender as a factor.

Other padawans would sometimes descend the lifts, bringing with them news or updates on progress throughout the station. The steady hum of progress or flow as Taiden saw it, him dealing with anything that didn’t directly require bothering Matsu or the others with, so not to overwhelm them all.

This was a huge project all after, an elevator breaking down on docking bay 6 didn’t warrant their attention, but “construction crews report we are venting oxygen on the second outer docking pylon.” That was significantly more important to the integrity of the station, and he saw the dots connecting to the elevator, like the flow or current of something, as his dead close friend [member="Fyor Nayus"] might have said.

Matsu was looking at them all and the reports with her attention on some of the things, she was going over it all and bringing up the displays they had installed as... well she had been with Kay in one of her massive research labs. The larger ones designed for the good times ahead on the planet. "They are very very cute." She was looking at Rianna's pet and her gawaii cat was just the same but her ropo was cuter before she brought up the displlay. "The residential district and make no mistake this is a massive district will be using the new living modules, the entire station will. The modules are modular and built to sustain a family of four without contact to the outside for seven years on its own. Add in some additional resources like the prototyper and suddenly seven years becomes several decades and that family of four becomes a small household of ten." She was showing it and the specs. "We've even begun working on newer, shinier things like how best to train everyone and given the building we managed to do on Exis station we know how to build these residential areas for trade, markets and schooling. More things can be built into it like gardens and a zoo but within a proper level as well as a massive crystasteel observation dome for looking out and at space to inspire."

Rianna nodded to Kay then shifted to Kay, "It sounds like you are building an empire Matsu" There was a game out that did just that it would not surprise Rianna that Matsu would take on a project of building a civilization.

This was one thing that she and Matsu disagreed on, the use of so much technology. The living force to Rianna was slowly being excised from the galaxy by the overwhelming technology that was being developed. But as she thought she was old school and some of these younger Jedi just had their own ideas.

She looked at Taiden , "Taiden is there something particular you are working on within the station?" She did not want the scholar to get lost or to become a presence in the back blotted out by the estrogen in the station.

An empire? Matsu looked at Rianna and raised an eyebrow but that wasn't the full goal and with the joshu converters the station used force tech on top of all of its technology en mass. She was looking at the designs and if they could even make twenty of these stations they could use them with terraforming equipment to create new civilizations across the galaxy. The dangers of the process taking decades to fully realize it on a world. So they would need somewhere to stay and grow so they could go down to the planet. With the new modules she could see and work with them on some of the other processes. Matsu was bringing up the massive station for all to see the sections being worked on by their droids. "I don't know about an empire but I will not deny that there will be a lot coming from this. I have spoken with some from the Republic and they liked the idea of buying the stations."

"It could be useful for mining companies to use to house their employees over worlds that aren't life supporting. Are the stations capable of moving? Or do they have to be built in orbit of their desired location?" In worlds that were dying, such a station would also be useful. And at least they had good defences in case of attack. Yet still, being so large it would be really easy to make them a target, especially if the Sith and other bullies for hire were to try to destroy it or steal it.

Taiden was very much content in their background, subtly adjusting ebb and flow to bring attention as construction took place, to any complications. He modestly shook his head to Rianna, “No lady, Master, Ar’klim-Organa, there is great comfort in doing my small part for the greater whole,” and Taiden was indeed happy to be part of what was going on, organizing as was his want, bringing reports to their attention as construction was completed or hit problems along the way.

For the most part out of earshot, moving to and fro. He did bow very slightly to her, holding his gesture. Slight bow indicating he personally appreciated her thoughts for him, and by the length of time he held the bow, the magnitude of respect he gave for her consideration, though she might not understand at first what that subtle gesture meant.

Their padawan did exactly that, finding comfort, purpose in dealing with matters as people descended their lifts. Filtering what he could while those present discussed the more finer aspects of the design. "And perhaps to house refugee's in case of displacement." He added as suggestion while he continued his work.
